All good, nice check in. Happy to book taxis. Served us wine. Unfortunately on the last night I paid cash for some wine and didn’t get a receipt so they made us pay again in the morning. Not great!! Suddenly the cameras did not work!
Small, dinghy room in a poor state of repair. So poorly lit that there was insufficient light to read a book. Bathroom was dark grey concrete walls with a worn concrete floor. Reception insisted that key was left with them when we went out. We had fifty pounds stolen from our room. (Brother in next door room had £200 stolen!) Situated in a very run down area of Marrakech. Twice we had to ward off pick pockets when negotiating the route to the main square. Once asked the Riad Manager to arrange a taxi for us. We were charged double the normal fare. Breakfast was very basic. Only positives were comfortable roof area; fresh orange juice, good coffee and cold beer for sale.
The Riad , bedrooms were very nice, as well as the sun deck. The owner/staff was a bit strange and was asked about buying services from their Riad immediately within an hr of arrival. Not the most friendliest atmosphere.
Staff were lovely, helpful. Room was clean. Dinner was overpriced. Pool cold.
Loved the ambience and private setting. The air conditioning did not work.
The Riad Fabiola is excellently situated, the facilities everything that you could want and the staff are very friendly and helpful
Very good
The place is nice, the location is excellent and the owner is a great character, he really makes a difference compared to other riads we stayed in. We were completely satisfied, we can recommend it and would stay again.
Fake advertisement nothing looks the same, and it’s far away from everything
We like the traditional style. A kettle so you can make your own tea and coffee would be good. And if you have a bar and restaurant then display your menu and prices - what are you afraid of??
This place is simple but excellent ! The staff is simply great and very accommodating. They are very friendly, they try their best to keep you happy. My friends tried their Hammam and loved it. Sadly we didn’t dine there but their food looked good. The place is authentic, so it’s rather simple small organization type where workers know one another closely, not a modern big operation institution. I really encourage people to give it a try.
Very helpful staff, everyone is so friendly and they’ll go an extra mile for their guests.
Very characterful private villa with a beautiful courtyard. Quite a shock until you enter the property. From outside nothing prepares you to this delightful property. Run by a few friendly staff.
The pool and rooftop terrace are great. Breakfast is quite plain and room was small. Overall decent place to stay for a couple of nights.
Not only was it beautiful and affordable, Abdul Aziz was extremely hospitable and wonderful company.
This is one of the best holiday I had. The olacebis beautiful Staff very welcoming
The staff were really helpful. The hamman was amazing. The food was the same each time which is why we've rated it a little lower. Didn't use the pool so can't comment. Not overly keen on the cat begging at the table at dinner.
First night bed not very comfortable but on complaining we were moved to another room ,better all round and with very comfortable bed Otherwise the staff were really helpful and friendly doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable .The dinners they provided were excellent
The riad is very clean. Terrace on roof was very clean too. Breakfast needs to be improved by adding local fruits. Staff service very kind.
Authentic old town feel, with real sense of Moroccan architecture (terrace, open plan, old style doors/ windows). It didn't have all the luxuries of a hotel but its charm made up for it. Very friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to most sights in Marrakech.
Not again!
Room is too small for a family of 4. Bad location and hard to find. Wifi is weak on the second floor. The only good at the Riad are the people working there. Will not stay again at this Riad.
The hotel staff, especially Aziz and Rashida were very helpful. I booked all my activities thru the hotel and I found their prices to be better than Viator but the drawback was that the City Tour was not guided but it worked for me. My only con was the Wi-Fi does not reach the rooms. Breakfast was typical Moroccan.
everything looks pretty on the posted pictures. the property lacks good sewage draining, standard cleaning and a better option for breakfast and meals in general.
AMAZING and really good too WOW! YEs it was good. I am happy I went.
Close to the square very friendly and helpful staff
Ok Riad in an interesting city
Not a great start as we were left waiting at the airport for almost an hour and a half waiting for a taxi that the Riad had booked for us which wasn't a great start. Riad is nice and traditional and simple as expected and staff were friendly. Room was large with aircon which is definitely required. The towels were very old and had very frayed edges and only one per guest. Marrakech in the Medina is really interesting and the people are very courteous but be very careful where you eat as there are flies in swarms all over most of the food and I became very ill. Food is very disappointing as every restaurant sells the same Tajin's which are bland and very, very dry and overcooked or kebabs which are again dry and overcooked and that is it on the food front, just those two choices. Oh and if you are staying in the Medina there is NO alcohol other than in the Riad's if they have a license. Our's charged €3 per 25cl bottle for Moroccan beer which is equivalent to about £9-10 a pint which is extortion.
Great Riad for families
From the Riad it's about a 20 minute walk to Jamma El Fnna and Souks. Bahia Palace is about a 15 minute walk. You can take the tour bus at the bottom of the Jamma El Fnna market to the Yves Saint Laurent / Majorelle Garden. This has two routes and is a cheap way of getting around and seeing the sights. The tickets last for 48 hours and you can hop on or off at any stop point. You can find some amazing bargains but be prepared to haggle it's fun. Make sure your bags on your front although it doesn't happen often there are a few chancers out there who will try to go down your bag. On the whole we had an amazing experience and would recommend Marrakesh to everyone. It is a sensory wonder of colour, smells, sounds and tasts.
Would not stay again
Poor welcome, sat around for over an hour. 1 of the rooms booked was damp and smelt mouldy. The other the bed was poor and lumpy so couldn’t sleep. Very glad it was a very short stay.
Fantastically Amazing!!!
Our Riad was absolutely amazing with the most amazingly friendly staff. Would definately recommend this to a friend.
We woke up to find dead cockroaches in the bathroom 2 of the 3 mornings we were at the Riad. The central courtyard was beautiful but there was a plastic tarp covering it and it looked like it had been there for sometime. That really took away from enjoying the courtyard. Booked a day trip tour to see 5 waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains through the riad, but it wasn’t actually a tour of the waterfalls it was just a ride to the town near the waterfall. When we refused to pay extra for ‘driver recommended’ tour guide, we were told we had 50 minutes to hike to the waterfalls ourselves and he’d leave with or without us. We only managed to see the first of the five waterfalls in the time allotted. The full hike to see all 5 was atleast 2 hours. The breakfasts included with the stay were simple yet delightful and we had dinner at the riad one night...it was amazing.
Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service very helpful and kind people it was my friend birthday and they got her a cake which was so lovely and nice only thing I was happy about was the shower but apart from that I lovely this raid
Lovely Riad close to Jema el Fnaa
Lovely Riad not far from the main Jema el Fnaa square. Only issue was with the shower. The water did not drain in ours, and it was not nice having to stand in your own bathwater everyday we showered. (Probably a piping issue at that time) Besides that, the hosts were lovely, the food was great, the comfort was amazing and the Hammam spa was undeniable. Really great riad in Marrakech.
Nice and cozy Riad
We really enjoyed the stay at this riad, the staff was really kind and caring especially Rasheeda, I would really recommend it.
Really friendly staff. Basic but well kept accommodation. Just the job of you want sonewhere quiet away from the medina mayhem bit close enough to walk i to tje souks with easy local parking.
Amazing Marrakesh
Ryiad Fabiola was amazing and lovely space to stay, Rasida was unbelievably helpful and kind to us. Minutes walk to the medina, safe and easy to access, we loved our stay here and would recommend wholeheartedly to others.
Very nice Riad in good location
The Riad is very nice with a small pool (not for swimming though) in the middle and palm trees around it. Everything was very clean, Hammam was very nice but the best is the staff. They are very helpful people and Aziz is a great host. I can also only recommend the dinner there. We have been to more good restaurants (Salama, Argana) but they were all topped by the food in the Riad. Same counts for Aziz's mint tea. A hint: instead of organising all trips (Camel tour, walking tour guide etc) by yourself, arrange them via the Riad. They know the people and everything works. When we booked trips ourselves, it was horrible and never really worked well.
Fabulous Fabiola
We stayed here for 3 nights would highly recommend this riad it is beautiful and the staff were very helpful, rooms were very traditional , comfortable and clean
doesn't reflect website description and pictures.
badly surprised when I visited and saw in life the hotel. it was dirty, small and its location was not safe and dangerous. I didn't stay in that hotel and I changed my destination to another one.
Close to sights
the hotel wasn't what we expected at first it's actually part of a housing area or residential area, when our driver pulled up we where shocked. when we went In it wasn't too bad it was as described however, the pool was always dirty and only cleaned once in the morning, staff where serving breakfast and using outdated milk aswell. and aftwr checking out we where told then that water was 30 dihrams each.
Friendly and welcoming staff, calming hotel
As soon as we entered into the hotel, my friend and I felt a sense of calm. We were super relaxed. The space was beautiful. The hotel staff were so friendly and one gentleman on reception got up early to make us breakfast at 5am due to an early flight. We were touched by the kindness and friendliness.
Wonderful
The Riad was easy to find, the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. Very friendly staff and Aziz was very helpful. The food is excellent, I had a couscous and a tangia I can't describe how I enjoyed it that diner.
Great value
Excellent haman and service . Rest location and helpful staff
Refused to stay
Hotel is located in a remote area, it felt unsafe and wasn't near any amenities. It was dirty and the staff spoke no English. The pictures online are very deceitful. I arrived at the hotel, looked around and immediately went online and booked a new hotel and we didn't stay here. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID..
Good experience and friendly staff
Good riad but wifi was only accessible downstairs
Wonderful place to stay!
The staff at Riad Fabiola is just wonderful and really made us feel so welcome. They were very keen to make our first Marrakech visit an unforgettable experience. Here you can expect genuine hospitality and an authentic experience.
Was lovey comforting staff was friendly helpful
Nice staff and riad was good condition and clean workers Mr Aziz and Mrs Rachida were fantastic and very polite and helpful day and night really recommend this place.
Good hotel
Friendly staff, good service, they clean you room daily and give u clean towel everyday, food was good aswell as breakfast, only issue would be bad wifi signal
Economy Hotel.
It was just ok. Difficult to locate, Even the driver had some difficulty in identifying the hotel. There is no complimentary drinking water that is mineral water in bottles. Room is quite congested and lighting is quite poor. No power adpators available with reception so the laptop and cell could not be charged.
Amazing holiday
A fantastic clean tidy riad. Good facilities in a pleasant oasis of calm in an otherwise manic city. Staff in the riad were all friendly and welcoming giving a personal touch to the care of their guests. In particular Aziz, who is also a fantastic cook along with the rest of his team, appeared to go out of his way to ensure his guests absolute happiness. The trips arranged on request by the staff were also amazing and well organised. A fantastic holiday made possible and facilitated by the staff and setting of this beautiful and well located riad a stone throw from all the major attractions of the madina.
Fantastic old world charm at Fabiloa
We had a very comfortable safe and charming stay. In my birthday the staff gave me a cake and we all celebrated around the pool. Wish other guests could have been friendlier but at least rhe Fabiola staff and management was we had a great time. And we will be back
Close to everything, very accommodating staff.
We stayed for 8 nights. We booked excursions with the riad the day we arrived and they were set up for whatever day we needed. We would be greeted by friendly staff whenever we arrived and they were always checking on our stay and altered times for our breakfast to accommodate for our early morning excursions. The room was beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful. They offered lunch and dinner services which are cheap and on par with most good restaurants in Marrakech. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful hotel
Lovely hotel hidden down a side street in the old town. Beautiful terrace areas and bedroom. Warm greeting. Only downsides bed not very comfortable, and some miscommunication with staff. Otherwise would definitely recommend!
Not great
No electricity and we did not stay there So we are requesting the money back
Friendliest Staff
We loved our stay here and the hotel staff made it even better especially the lady (I forgot to ask her name, the one with the glasses and curly short hair). Good location in terms of its distance from the Medina (5-8mins walk), however it would be difficult to find without a guide. Everyone was so nice and patient with us despite being extremely loud every night. The atmosphere in the hotel was peaceful. The food that they serve is actually better than the ones we found outside (set menu) and they are greatly priced too.
Lovely stay at Rate Riad Fabiola et Spa!
We really enjoyed our stay the riad, the staff was always extremely helpful, our room was perfect, the breakfast tasty and we loved the rooftop lounge! :) Highly Recommended!
Nice Hotel close to market
The hotel was nice and the staff was overall friendly. The rooms were also clean. However, I was not impressed with the extra charges that they forced us to pay last minute. The night before we left we were told a certain price to pay and the next morning the owner demanded more and was extremely unprofessional about it. The hotel was nice, but I would not stay there again.
Traditional Riad with welcoming and helpful staff
Marrakesh is a place which bombards your senses from all sides the Fabiola was an oasis of calm. ASIs, the manager, was helpful and welcoming, he guided us and helped us to make the most of our visit. The Riad is in the old area of the Medina and about a 20 minute walk to the main square.
Cosy Riad
A lovely little place where the staff couldn't do enough for you! They were also very concerned for our safety and made sure we weren't involved with the wrong guides etc. I would go back anytime!
Nice and clean
It's 15 min from the square, but that's not a problem. It's really not that far. The hotel is nice and clean, the breakfast is great. I would also recommend the dinner but bear in mind it's twice the price you would get in central (the square or new city).
Fine hotel good walking distance to main square.
Nice and quiet hotel very private and no disturbing from any one but your self stuff is good and friendly do ask what you want the will/can organize your trips if want 2 over all very nice thx for everything best time ever.
enjoyed my stay
the riad is a beautiful building, the host aziz is charming and helpful, and the airport transfer is reasonable, it is situated about 15 min walk from the main square in a local area, and it is quite easy to get lost , although i enjoyed staying in " real" marrakech
Old town, Moroccan style riad
We stayed three nights, the receptionist Aziz made our stay very cared for and enjoyable. The place is 10 walk min from busy city market and old town perks. Moroccan style room and hot water running anytime which is a bonus:)
a calm oasis in Marrakesh
Me and my Girlfriend stayed at Riad Fabiola et Spa and could have not been more happy. The roof terrace was lovely to relax and away from hectic streets of Marrakesh. The Breakfast every morning was verified and delicious and the room was perfect. Would come back and again and recommend staying in the beautiful ryad.
Close to souks and main square
Staff are just great - friendly, helpful, accommodating. The Riad is a bit tired but has a lot of beautiful features. Just needs a bit of tlc type upgrade. The hamman on site is a bonus. The actual hamman experience was really good but the massage part by the masseuse was just ok. Overall enjoyed being in fabiola. The roof terrace is pretty fabulous.
Super Staff
Lovely place with a super staff. Good location, and confortable and clean rooms. The moroccan breakfast is good and free. Wifi is also free.
Prices for organised trips were increased on the morning of the trip.
Nice hotel in medina
The hotel is lovely, room was clean and in excellent condition, staff was good, food was brilliant and Iwish we could stay for a week or 2.
Lovely pool area and rooftop lounge
Good location accessible by car . We ate in for some evening meals @ 15Euros pp for a lovely tagine with starter and dessert. The hotel prices everything in euros so take plenty to cover your extras. They were very reluctant to accept visa. We loved the hammam and massage - a real treat . Bed linen and room clean but pillows thin.
Lovely hotel, but we wary of location!
The riad itself was lovely! Friendly staff, beautifully decorated, and peacefully quiet. We stayed in one of the suits - plenty big enough for 3 people, and cleaned daily, however the lighting was very poor and meant getting ready in the near dark at night! The pool was a perfect accompaniment for time spent sunbathing and relaxing on the terrace, and there was always enough seats! However, this was somewhat spoilt by the location... Whilst being an easy and short walk to the main square (15mins) as a group of 3 female travellers there wasn't a trip there or back where we didn't feel threatened. The constant harassment, stares, comments we experienced in the area was extrememly unsettling. We even got followed back to the riad one evening by a group of boys who insisted on convincing us we were lost and found another on the roof of the riad watching us sunbathing! Attempting to (unsucceffully) hide himself. Again, the room and hotel itself, staff and service, was excellent, though I feel any young female travellers should be aware that the harassment on the streets leading to the main square doesn't make for a relaxing stress free holiday experience!
Relaxing riad in a buzzing city
We stayed here at the beginning of July for three nights - just a short break in the city. The Riad is a little on the outskirts of the centre of town, but it is very quiet and a lovely place to relax after a busy day. It is about a 15 minute walk to the square and it's fairly straight forward. The small plunge pool keeps the downstairs of the riad very cool, and it is relatively shaded. The roof terrace is boiling in the day, and a lovely place to sit in the sun if you need a break from the city. It also has some lovely views. There is plenty of spaces to sit and read and relax. The breakfast is simple but tasty. Breads, jam, pancakes/crumpets, fresh orange juice and tea/coffee. There is a small hammam there, but we didn't use it. Our room wasn't huge, but that meant the AC kept is nice and cool. They include a double bed (relatively comfy) and an en suite. They are decorated very traditionally. The shower in our room wouldn't hook onto the wall, so you had to hold the head of the shower, but this didn't really matter to us much. Overall, we were pleased with the riad and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
Lovely hotel , great central location
Great experience, very helpful and friendly staff
Long way from main square, but charming place.
The only thing that really let this Riad down must be bathroom, as it was rather dark and water splashing everywhere. Breakfast was lovely, absolutely wonderful and helpfull staff. Unfortnetely not many sun-beds (two only on the top of the roof) and its not much else to do if its really hot. As perhaps all Riads in Marrakesh, this one is not esay to find (get map app, or GPS on your phone), you alwasy will find somebody in street to hep you with directions, but be prepared to pay, and they always insist to get as much as possible (we gave 20DH).
Fabulous riad in the southern medina
This is a gorgeous riad about 15 minutes walk from the main square. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Aziz, the manager, was particularly charming. Our room was stunning. Everything worked well. Breakfast by the plunge pool consisted of local pastries, honey, jam and mint tea or coffee and was served until 10.30. The area felt safe. Wifi was good. I don't have a negative word to say about the place. I will definitely stay here next time we visit Marrakech.
Not a holiday more of a hostel style trip!
It was ok,but i stayed to long for such a busy city!
Lovely riad with wonderful staff. An oasis of calm
A wonderful riad with amazing staff and lovely pool to relax in after a trip to the medina. Their tagine was amazing in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble.
Nice Riad just outside busy main area
Not disturbed by noisy mopeds. Comfortable room, friendly staff-very accommodating. 10-15 minute walk from main square, many points of interest in walking distance. Would stay there again.
An oasis amid the chaos
We really enjoyed the warm welcome, comfort and quiet of the Riad. The Palais Bahia, le maison Photographie and the Jemaa El Fna, the main square, are within easy walking distance through the souks of Marrakech from the Riad. Le Jardin Majorelle is also accessible by foot but a horse drawn carriage is available from the Riad.
Beautiful Riad located close to Jemaa el fna
If your looking for a truthful review carry on reading. Situated just a 15min walk from the famous Jemaa al fna (main square) Riad Fabiola has been an amazing experience. The staff are helpful and always met your needs. I dont have one negative thing to say about them. I miss them. Breakfast started 8:30am - 10:30am and they served the delicious food including omlettes, bread, choice of jam, choice of tea, crumpets and cakes, not forgetting their freshly squeezed orange juice. We were joined by tiny birds who would hum tunes whilst we enjoyed breakfast and conversing with others staying at the hotel.. sharing experiences and information was very helpful. The manager, a brilliant english speaking lady and Aziz, english speaking man were absolutely brilliant. They gave us a map and circled points of interest and gave us vital information like short routes, taxi prices and just information on aspects important for tourists. The walk from the hotel to Jamee al fna was pleasant, it was difficult the first day as it seemed a long walk and motorbikes and donkeys would pass constantly. but by the 2nd day i was totally fine and enjoyed the walk making friends every day as we passed the same shops and houses. The locals are so friendly and would give up any amount of time to help you or direct you. I felt totally safe even walking down 12am in the morning.. Shops dont close until very late so we were always out till late and always felt safe. The rooms were gorgeous
Great riad with friendly staff
This riad was fantastic. Great location, with friendly staff who could not do enough for you. The food was lovely. The rooms were quite dark and you cannot swim in the pool because it's not very clean. However I would definitely stay here again.
Hotel in poor, rough area, not a nice place to be!
we were upgraged on our first night and down-graded from the second day! Breakfast wasn't worth getting up for, hotel in bad and risky area. when tried to check out we were told that the supplement that we had to pay was not 2 MOD per person per night as advertised, but 2 euro per person per night, quite a difference!! I was mugged on my third day of the holiday, didn't enjoy the overall experience!
Nice Riad
Nice Riad , clean and pretty but a little tired. Very pleasant helpful staff. Good area if you want to be close to the Medina, but down a back street .Would suit the more casual traveller a poorer area to stay. Very good Human experience in Riad. Pool needed cleaning not suitable for using just pleasant to sit next to.
Service good but location no good
The place was ok and staff were helpful .
Wonderful riad
I stayed for under a week with my wife in this riad, we found it very conveniently located 15 mins walk to Jamaa el fnaa. It was a pleasant stay rooms were tidy, a delicious breakfast in the morning to prep for a long days exploration of Marrakech. Notably me and my wife would like to thank Aziz for your endless patience, generosity and expert guidance, you are an absolute gem to the riad and a godsend, we thank you a million times brother. Malik and Nurjahan.
Friendly Riad with Hamman
we were greeted warmly with a complimentary mint tea, a map and answers to any questions we had. We did not make use of the plunge pool as both the weather and the water were too cold! The room was pleasant and the bed was extremely comfy. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. The mile walk up to the main square is an interesting walk and depending on the time of day the street looks and feels completely different so we did not tire of the route. There is a restaurant half way up on the right hand side in a small square - DO NOT EAT there. He claims his mother does the cooking and has all the spiel but as soon as you have ordered he loses interest in you and then served up the worst food of our whole trip. Enjoy the hustle and bustle and take the constant attempts to guide you in your stride and you'll have a great time knowing you can return to the tranquillity of the Riad when needed.
Idyllic refuge in the centre of a bustling Medina!
To enter the hotel, you walk off a central, bustling road and onto a cobbled street. A star shaped lantern marks the entrance to the otherwise hidden Riad. On entering, you are welcomed into a small reception area. The manager, greeted us by name, having known the expected arrival time. As soon as you walk into the central terrace you are taken aback by the beauty of the place. The pool in the centre reflects light around the terrace. Its beautiful. We arrived early in the morning and our room was not quite ready so we were shown up to the roof terrace and given a glass of steaming hot Morrocan mint tea. From the terrace you can see across the tops of the medina, all the way to the Minaret in the centre of the main square. The room itself was pretty enough, the only thing that let it down was the small camp bed set up next to the double, it was not a triple room as described. Also being February, it got quite cold at night and the lack of heating in the room was noticeable. This wouldn't have been a problem later in the year. Breakfast was traditional and yummy, although if you are in a rush or like to eat quickly expect to wait. When enjoying a relaxing break however, the timing is fine. Overall a lovely, friendly place to enjoy a short city break. Moments from the souks; without the noise!
Lovely clean riad with friendly staff
The riad was clean and beautiful. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main square which includes walking through a busy market. The riad is ideal for people who aren't interested in going out at night as this can be a hassle as the area is very quiet at night. Wifi only works in reception!!! Overall very beautiful...
Getting tired of rewriting this review
Though a bit out of the way, Riad Fabiola is only about a 20 minute walk to jama al-fana square, the centre of all action in Marrakesh. If you have an iPhone you can use the map feature to navigate the labyrinthine streets through the souk. The area gives you a real feel of Marrakesh away from the tourist ghettos. The manager is really friendly and helpful. He booked a cab for us to go to Chez Ali in the evening, as well as other activities. Breakfast was good. I stayed there with my wife and two young kids. It was perfectly safe.
Very nice riad and nice people
Fabuleux
Super !

I stayed with 2 friends at this property. The breakfast was tasty and there was a relaxed atmosphere. The pool and central area is beautiful clean and very Moroccan. The hotel staff helped us arrange taxi drivers and gave us a nice relaxing tea at check in. I would recommend this place to all of my friends. We had a very pleasant stay.
