Perfect Moroccan stay

Absolutely wonderful stay at Riad Capaldi. The Moroccan hospitality was out of this world. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning was delicious. Beautifully peaceful oasis in the midst of the chaotic medina.

I had a fantastic stay at Riad Capaldi in Marrakesh. The riad is in a great location - peaceful yet walkable to all the main attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the traditional decor added to the charm of the experience. Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection to start the day right. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Mehdi and Bader. They went above and beyond in every way, ensuring I felt welcome and well looked after throughout my stay. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made all the difference, and I can’t praise them enough. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh!

Very kind helpful people, nice rooms, good location

First time staying at a Riad and it was an experience. Hospitality was great and the breakfast. Only point I would make is the bathrooms and toilet was quite dark as the Lighting was dim. But overall good experience.

Our host Bader was amazing and gave us so many great recommendations. The service exceeded all expectations and the experience was all positive. He helped us book a few of our excursions and helped us navigate the surrounding area. The breakfast was also a great experience and we got to enjoy it with the rooftop view. When I come back to Morocco I will be staying here again!

I had booked Riad Capaldi which was advertised as a 4-star property and cost a substantial amount. My experience at the riad was terrible. The riad is in abysmal condition with torn and stained furniture in the rooms, stained linen and poor common areas as well. The riad promised breakfast but the breakfast was just toast, some bread with butter and jam and on asking you received one egg. The riad was further in an inaccessible location and difficult to reach except by foot The surroundings did not feel safe specially in the evening. I would highly recommend not reserving this property.

Loved staying here! Bader and Maroine were awesome!!! It’s really like staying with family!! I can’t get over how friendly and helpful everyone was!! They made me not want to leave!! They’re my new family :)

Comfortable riad with amazing staff

We stayed at Riad Capaldi for 3 nights in April 24. We chose it as we have stayed at the Capaldi Hotel but never before at the riad. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is ever too much whether it be advice on restaurants or how to get somewhere. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast and dinner we had were delicious. Watching the sun set over a fantastic glass of local Rosé was memorable.

Very central Riad and great attentive management , lovely rooftop breakfast and clean rooms , thank you Alistair and Sylvia . Having stayed two night at Riad Capaldi , we transferred to Hotel Capaldi which was a very tranquil hotel , circa 40km from central Marrakech . Hotel Capaldi was first class for a relaxing and tranquil stay with great staff , food , spa etc , could not fault at all , lovely hotel , pool and grounds .

A calm oasis where you can relax and hear birdsong in the middle of a busy city before wandering into the alleys of Marrakesh. Team helpful with any requests and recommendations and will even walk you to neighbourhood restaurants and sights.

Amazing stay here!

We loved our stay at Riad Capaldi. It’s a beautiful Riad and feels very authentic. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to facilitate us. I’d highly recommend staying here if you want to stay in central Marrakech.

This Riad is the best. I truly recommend staying here, and have only good things to say about it. Bader made our stay so incredibly smooth. He often walked us from our taxis to the riad, and always made sure we were safe and taken care of, even calling us one night while we were at a bar late and checking in to make sure we were okay. The room was stunning, modern but with a Marrakesh feel, and the rooftop was amazing for breakfast and hanging out. These people are the nicest and truly take care of you.

The stay at Riad Capaldi was A . It's a quiet and peaceful riad, beautifully decorated inside and very comfortable in the rooms. The Oulidia room with private terrace was amazing also. If I could give a higher rating it would go to Marouane and Bader and their wonderful housekeeping team. They all went out of their way to give us the best personalized experience. From planning out our daily itinerary, restaurant recommendations, sightseeing excursions, or just chilling in the riad, these guys and their amazing local knowledge with a personal touch was just fantastic. We definitely got the best we could out of Marrakesh thanks to the whole team at Riad Capaldi. I would definitely stay there again if we go back.

Enjoyable stay at the Riad Capaldi. All the staff (Badr, Suad, Atiqah, Marwan) were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Decently located in the Medina, but about a 20 min walk to most of the main sights. While we enjoyed our stay, the property is definitely overpriced compared to the quality. At almost $500 for 3 nights, we expected more in terms of amenities. The offerings are bare bone - not even basic bottled water is provided, let alone tea, coffee, or snacks. Considering that this is a very old property with limited amenities, it is heavily overpriced. We had several plumbing issues during our stay, and in fact could not even use our shower due to flooding. While I understand this is an old property and these issues are likely to happen, management should keep this in mind and price accordingly especially considering how basic the rooms and offerings are. Also, if you are arriving at the train station I do not recommend using the hotel transport at 200 MAD which is a complete rip off. The train station is about a 10 min drive and a local taxi costs less than 50 MAD for that same journey.

Great price for our 3 night stay given that this riad is in the heart of the Medina. Gorgeous roof for breakfast!

staff is nice. The room is small and without natural light. the riad does not have much privacy because each room door is made from glass and you have to put curtains to block others' view. location is not good, very deep down in the not so safe alley, far from major road, easy to get lost or get misled by teenagers trying to get money from tourists.

The property is lovely, a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. They helped us get about and organised a fantastic guide for a day. We had a wonderful meal cooked in the Riad for us - a really great stay.

In a perfect location just at the edge of the souks -but well inside the medina- Capaldi is an oasis amidst a cacophony. My large room in this classic riad had its own rooftop terrace where you could in-theory sleep under the stars. Incredibly attentive staff had ideal recommendations for a first-time stay in Morocco and looked after my every need. I felt well cared for within this well-appointed architectural gem. I would stay here again.

Our stay at the Riad Capaldi was, quite simply, magnificent. Offering a perfect oasis of peace and serenity the Riad is beautifully located just a short walk and a few alleyways from the heart of the bustling Medina. It was tranquil, spotlessly clean and impeccably designed with just enough Moroccan influence combined with the sophistication of a 5-star boutique hotel. The staff were attentive to our every need and more than happy to escort us to the Medina until we found our way around ourselves. Breakfast was delicious - don't miss the natural yogurt with pomegranate and when you just need a little down time be sure to retreat to the roof terrace offering stellar views and a beautiful space for sun and relaxation. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful, quiet and safe Riad in the Medina

We loved our stay at Riad Capaldi and wish it could have been longer. The staff were so helpful, the rooms were perfect (exactly like the photos). Great location inside the Médina and close to the souks and tanneries but so nice and quiet. A little oasis. We were overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of Marrakech so having the comfort of this Riad was perfect for us. Cooked us dinner one night, delicious!! Would 100% recommend.

Nice hotel in centre of town

A charming and very helpful and energetic manager,who bent over backwards to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The room was comfortable,but the lighting was very dim,so difficult to read in the room,there was no plug in the basin,and the room heating did not work so we had to ask for a heater which we received on the last day as someone was using it before.The shower was a dribbler,and i was looking forward to the one we have at home.I thing in fairness we had a spell of colder weather than usual.so we must make allowances.

Right in the heart of the Medina and set within the labyrinth of little alleys, staying at the Capaldi was a new experience. I would recommend it for anyone wanting something a little bit different.

Fantastic place to stay!

In the heart of the Medina, step right out into the vibrant city and what a treat to return to such a calm and tranquil place. The rooftop terrace was much larger than most and the Riad has such a relaxed vibe. Maraoune and Bader were great hosts. Reserve your couscous in advance for your 1st night stay, it was delicious. After that there are several good restaurants nearby. Hope to return one day!

Excelente opción de Riad!

El riad estuvo muy bueno, se siente paz una vez estar dentro, increíble al saber que estas en pleno Medina. La habitación me gusto mucho la decoración y esta muy completa. El desayuno muy rico, el servicio excelente, nos ayudaron mucho a guiarnos dentro de Medina, nos acompañaban a los taxis, a recomendar las compras, a dar recomendaciones. Estuvimos muy contentos por la experiencia en el Riad. Lo que si le recomendaría a las personas, es que verifiquen bien la dirección del Riad antes de llegar a la Medina o mejor comunicarse con el hotel antes de su llegada si o si, porque llegamos en la noche a las 11:00 pm y nos perdimos en las calles de Medina, 3 chicos nos quisieron ayudar a llegar, nosotros con miedo pero al final no paso nada pero si tuvimos que darle efectivo porque te piden dinero por ayudarte. Tengan atención con esto, pero con el staff del Riad, te ayudan mucho.

L’accueil et l’hospitalité des hôtes sont exceptionnels Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres L’accès au Riad le soir est un peu difficile car aucun taxis ne peut entrer dans le souk ou se trouve le logement mais l’hôte , Bader a tout arrangé pour notre sécurité Je recommande ce Riad

Super welcoming staff! lovely big rooms, quite and nice atmosphere. overall a lovely stay, the rooftop needs a bit of attention (a bit messy and only one sunbed). the area is a bit rough, but there is a lovely security guard at the end of the street, who gets rid of most of the people who are trying to trick tourists.

Et rigtig hyggeligt Riad

Det er et super hyggeligt Riad - og kan helt klart anbefales. Det eneste er at Wifi kun er i foyen og ikke på værelset - og det er jo lidt der man ligger og søger på forskellige man gerne vil se på sit ophold. Nogle kanon gutter der bestyrer hotellet 😊

Nette Riad dichtbij alles.

Modern Riad in het hartje van Medina. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en ze helpen je met alles. Route, taxi bestellen, restaurant reserveren. De receptionisten praten goed Engels, Frans en Arabisch. Wifi in openbare ruimtes was goed in de kamer niet altijd zo sterk. Kamers werden dagelijks schoongemaakt en nieuwe handdoeken krijg je ook dagelijks. Ontbijt was ook netjes geserveerd, je mag zelf bepalen hoe laat je ontbijt het is niet aan tijd verbonden.
