Amazing team, great place, great location.Highly recommend the stay.
We only stayed in this property for a limited time, 45 minutes at most. The receptionist Sadik, was very informative and friendly. He recommended a few things for us to do while in Morocco. However we didn’t end up not staying at this property, due to the condition of the Riad. It was very inconvenient to get there with limited transportation. The property itself looked runned-down and not in optimal shape. Seeing the images on the site and the actual property was very disappointing. The sheets and carpet in the room did not look sanitary at all. The bathroom floors were dusty. It was overall a very disappointing experience because we had to book a different place to stay, right there and then.
This place to be removed requesting reimbursment
This hotel was CLOSED, yes closed. When we called there was no answer, then we called again and somebody answered surprised about our call as, the hotel had been called since the beginning of 2021. The location of this place was terrible, we were harassed, and even threatened by a couple who folllowed us on their motocycle, as we did not want to give them money, we had to drive fast and aggressively to leave the area.
When we first got to Marrakech we were so overwhelmed by the business of the city! This Riad was such a calm space away from the business of the Médina and we really appreciated their help. Dinner is delicious if you get the chance to stay there one night. Sadik was very friendly and helpful. We would go back!
Incredibly designed space.
Meticulously designed space. An oasis from the Medina chaos. The double-height shower was a dream. The staff were incredible. I’ve stayed in many riads in Marrakech but by far this is my favorite one.
This was very close to everything. It was a quick walk to the square. However, it was a bit overwhelming that we couldn’t get dropped off in front. We walked through a few alleys.
The riad was really lovely. We also had dinner there which was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent staff and property. Easy to get around the medina, staff incredibly helpful in giving directions and recommendations. Our favorite riad in Morocco (and we stayed in chefchaouen and fes too!)
Amazing Azzouna....
What amazing service and attentiveness from the moment we arrived to the last minute before we left, we could not have been looked after and taken care of anymore by Sadiq and his team of helpers. A clean, private and contemporary Riad which is the perfect hideaway for a long weekend.
Very nice Riad, clean and confortable Excelent staff
Too small and too dark (insufficient lighting to read in bed). Carpet around bed very dirty. Bed too short (I'm only 5' 10''!) Sadik was however great.
It was the most authentic way to know life in the Médina. The staff was always helpful with all our questions about how to get around and with the organization of our activities. If you decide to go ask for pickup at the airport.
Riad Azzouna 13 is a very beautiful, charming & peaceful sanctuary. Unfortunately, I only stayed my 1st night in Maarakech because I was meeting a group for a 10 day retreat the next day. But it was the perfect place to begin my trip, and everything about my stay there was wonderful...from the airport pickup they arranged, to the delicious home cooked dinner they prepared for me, and breakfast in the morning. And the manager Sadik is a gem! So sweet, genuine in making sure you are comfortable & very helpful with recommendations. I highly recommend staying here & one day when I return to Marrakech, I will be sure to stay here again...and for more than just one night!
Azzouna
Overall it was a nice riad. Need better lighting in the rooms and also need locks on the doors. Other than that it was a great stay and sadik was an amazing host
Nice Riad close to the souks
If you’re like us and arrive in the evening it’s a little daunting, as to get to the Riad you have to walk through a busy market area then 2 streets. The manager meets you at the car though and we were completely aware of this before booking because it said it on the description area. By the first morning of venturing out we were fine, the souks are literally 10 mins walk away which is AH-MAZING. The manager Sadik is brilliant, very helpful, polite and you can tell he genuinely likes his job. On the first evening we didn’t have the correct plugs to charge our phones and he went out to get them for us, which is so very kind. He knows fluent English which of course is very helpful. Sadly I’m unsure of the names of whom else worked there but they were also kind, polite and anything we asked they got. The Riad itself is very clean, there are odd jobs that could be done to improve e.g tile near fountain slightly cracked but that’s me being very picky and highlighting it’s not perfect but it’s lovely. There is no TV in the room, no kettle etc- but on holiday I would be shocked if you would want to watch TV! We love tea and whenever we needed tea or anything they would make it, we even had sheesha in the Riad a couple of times. The breakfast is simple but nice, egg, Moroccan pancakes or bread, fresh condiments honey, jam, marmalade, yogurt etc. It is basically like a home away from home! Hope this is helpful! Thanks again Sadik and the team. See you soon🙂
Very enjoyable stay
We loved it there... We were in Marrakech for a week and booked 2 riads for our stay. Azzouna 13 was our first one and was just perfect. Sadik (the manager) was a fantastic host, he helped us with everything we needed. The cleaning ladies were very nice too. All in all a great stay and very affordable too, we paid double the price for our second riad and felt ripped off, we should have stayed with Sadik & his team for the entire week...
Hiden little Gem
I will definitively stay here again. Sadik was wonderful and very helpful. This was a very charming and peaceful riad. It was Clean and furnished very tastefully. We rented 2 rooms and both were very beautiful. I was surprised how quiet it was at night. Absolutely quiet. Lovet it! It's very romantic.
Good overall Riad
Good and well recommended Riad..clean and Sadik was an excelent host..very attentive
The best hotel experience
In my 30 plus years of travel I have never had an experience as great as Azzouna 13. From the time we stepped into the Riad to the time we left the personal service from Sadik was unmatched. Anything you needed Sadik would make it happen. When we stepped off the busy streets of Marrakech it felt like we were in another place. The Riad was quiet, private and serene. The room had everything we needed and was clean. We felt at home whether we were lounging downstairs in the reception area or upstairs on the rooftop terrace. Our breakfasts and dinners at the Riad were delicious. We also ate at three of the restaurants Sadik recommended and were more than happy with them. Sadik always made us feel at home. The souks and restaurants were a stone's throw away. Loved Azzouna 13. Would definitely stay there again.
Riad Azzouna 13 in Marrakech
Staying here was a wonderful experience. It was beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Sadik the house manager did everything to make our stay fun and comfortable. We had dinner at the riad two nights and the food was outstanding! We were served breakfast daily consisting of fresh fruits, breads, yogurt, eggs, juice, tea, coffee, etc. The room was very comfortable with air conditioning and plenty of space. Sadik helped us plan our days including where to go and how to get there, restaurants for lunch and dinner, making reservations for excursions and transportation. We went to the gardens, palace, museums, the square, and on a camel ride through the palms
Perfect everything
Hotel is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The location is perfect a 5 minute walk to the souks and 15 minutes to the main square, the staff are the best part and never have I had someone so helpful, be sure to eat dinner there it's cheap and the most delicious authentic Moroccan food we had, thank you for making our first time in Marrakech so welcoming.
Central location
Wonderful stay at this riad. We were welcomed by Sadik who was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was always smiling!! The riad is just perfection!! So peaceful and quiet when you've had a busy day exploring, lots of areas to sit and chill with a nice coffee or Moroccan tea. The breakfasts were lovely, and served at whatever time suited us rather than being tied down to set times which was perfect! Sadik helped recommend some 'must sees' and circled them on a large map and he also recommended an 'app' to download which helped us find our way around the city. This was so useful so definitely recommend. If the locals see that your lost, they will insist on leading you the way, but they will demand money upon our arrival to wherever your going. We learnt our lesson after day 1 and had to be more confident and just say 'no thank you'. After a couple of days we started to find our way around the winding paths and felt really comfortable, (travelled as group of 3 girls). Only time we got hassle was when we wondered through food markets at night in the square , as they are all trying to get you to eat in their stall. Again, just be firm and avoid eye contact and you'll be fine!! Overall I had the best 4nts, a very memorable experience, and I would definitely travel again and recommend. I've travelled to many countries and this has to be one of favourite trips.
Great Riad
A lovely Riad in a great location ( although advise getting the airport transfer from the Riad directly as will be hard to find otherwise). Sadik who runs the Riad was very helpful and sorted out map apps, restaurants etc for us. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed Marrakech and the Riad was quiet and calm, making it perfect to wind down in after the business of the markets.
Nice, well kept riad with great staff.
Short walk to the Souks. Complimentary breakfast was very good, and overall service was great. If Sadiq is still the manager, then you will be in good hands. The only draw back was that we went during the peak of summer, and the air conditioning struggled at times, but otherwise it was a great experience.
A recommander.
Wonderful Riad!
We stayed for 4 night at the Riad and we had wonderful time! Sadik, was always helpful and fantastic host. Breakfast and especially dinner was amazing!
Happy guest
Sadik was amazing and made us feel very welcome. The room was nice and clean, but simple. The location was ok, a quiet small street with walking distance to the big square and many other sights. If you are interested in staying in a Riad I can highly recommend this one.
Perfect medina hideaway
Central location within the medina, but quiet and peaceful on the inside. The manager, Sadiq, is very helpful and friendly. Nicely decorated riad, with a beautiful roof terrace on which you can have your breakfast and chill out in the afternoons. The rooms are very clean, but the bedlinen although clean was a bit tatty. Felt very safe as a single female traveler. Would stay again!
Kleiner Palast
Es war wunderschön!! Sauber und sehr gemütlichluches Riad.
joli riad au coeur de la medina
long weekend sur marrakech. à 15 min de la place Jemaa El Fna,
Riad Azzouna 13 | Home in Marrakech | Travala.com
First things first, Hicham is an incredible host. He is very accommodating and funny. He explained every detail in the riad specially about the riad room where we are staying at. Since this was our first time to Marrakesh he made our stay memorable one. My first impression on Riad Azzouna 13 was quite squeaky clean. As we enter the riad for the first time, we were amazed. What we saw on the picture posted on Expedia was exactly the same, except it was better in person. The furnitures were well hand picked and well matched. I would say Riad Azzouna 13 has a good taste when it comes to internal design. As a guest for 4 nights, we felt we stayed in a luxury hotel. The riad smelled fresh all the time during our stay. The guess room is well equipped. It has everything we needed for our stay. The guest room was amazing and super clean. Trust me, the place is better in person. You got to check it out. The location of the riad is perfect. Everything is near by and it’s just walking distance to the souk and restaurants. We will definitely come back.
