Ok place
The Riad it’s ok , no luxury but is good . The right care 8 from 10 .
We loved this little riad, everyone was very friendly, very clean, and comfortable!
Awesome place, everyone was very friendly, nice breakfast!
I only stayed one night but wish I stayed longer. Nice, quiet and friendly riad. Well located once you get your bearings of the city. The breakfast and the shared space exceeded my expectations. Will be recommending to anyone I know coming to Marrakesh and would stay there again.
Wonderful Way to end Our Trip to Morocco!
What an oasis in the midst of Marrakesh's Medina. Truly a peaceful spot and one where we were able to regroup after an amazing trip throughout this wonderful country. On our second night, we opted to dine in and the meal was delicious as well as the breakfasts that we had while there. The hospitality and service was just as wonderful as the Rihad, itself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great and comfortable Riad in the Medina. The staff were very welcoming and responsive. I spent 3 night’s including NYE and was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The Medina is a busy place and this riad offers a quiet peaceful escape.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while on our honeymoon, and we couldn't recommend this place enough!! It feels like a quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling medina. We stayed in the Marguerite suite, which was absolutely gorgeous and plenty spacious and comfortable. The rooftop terrace was also lovely, and Riad Aubrac is small enough that we were often the only ones up there and could enjoy a quiet sunset. There was also a light breakfast included daily (free of charge), which was tasty, and it was a nice atmosphere eating in the courtyard with the natural light. And on top of all this, the staff was AMAZING. They were helpful in answering any question (in clear English, too), super accommodating of our dietary restrictions, helped arrange transportation and a very fun (and affordable!) day trip to the Ourika Valley, and cleaned/tidied the room daily. They really made us feel right at home. Thank you Riad Aubrac!
We liked the availability of a driver to pick us up at the airport
The staff was accommodating. Very clean.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with great hospitality. The guy at the front desk was amazing and made sure we were okay and happy! The room was decent and budget friendly.
Nice property to stay. Friendly and helpful staff and the best terrace we have had during our trip to Morocco. One star down for terrible pillows and noise from both inside and outside of riad (this is a general problem with riads and dars, and this one was no exception) Overall, we enjoyed our stay
Didn't stay long enough to have an opinion
Stayed only 1 night as we stayed at another riad during our stay in Marrakech. Rooms are quite big for a riad and cleaning was ok too. What was disappointing that during shower water pools to the point that you are concerned that it will flow over. Had to leave early next morning so didn't communicate that to staff but they should check those before the room is ready for guests. Breakfast was enjoyable though. Do keep in mind that their location is a good 15-20 min walk inside deep medina from Jamea al Fanaa square
Very nice place to spend your vacation in I love Morocco
The place is charming & relaxing. However, is is always a challenge to reach the property between the narrow alleys.
Very average riad.
Overall nothing really bad can be said about Riad Aubrac. Nothing really good either. Very average riad. Gentleman helping us (serving breakfast etc) does what he can. Generally you can have an impression that everything is being done with the minimum possible cost. You can't pinpoint that this or that was really bad, but you are happy when you leave.
++
Good: location very central and close to the market, nice and clean, super friendly and helpful staff. breakfast was variable so you don't get the same breakfast every morning - Bad: the shower head was loose, did not fit into its place , fell down and injured my face. internet was very slow (and sometimes did not work at all) - walls do not isolate the outside noise (the area is very quiet anyway, so not a big deal)
Great quiet place just a few minutes from the big square. Rooms and bed very comfortable. We really like the service and daily breakfast. We are glad we stayed there in our first trip to Marrakech. We would definitely stay there if we go back.
It is a small but really quite riad which is not that hard to find. Very convenient location. Welly is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, we don’t speak French. Sometimes, it took more time to understand our questions or needs. Overall, we enjoyed the stay at this riad.
It is quite a dated Riad. The staff was very courteous and helpful but the riad didn’t live up to my expectations.
Book shuttle with hotel but great place!
Just make sure you book a transfer with the hotel the cab situation is quite shady
Enjoyed the stay, good facilities , always clean and very helpful staff , a little difficult to find initially but that’s what I partly like, the fact that it was right in the heart of the Médina. Will definitely visit again
Top riad
Riad aubrac is an authentic riad in the heart of the medina. The staff go went of their way to provide top notch service. They also provided early breakfast on the day of our departure.
Place is very cosy and food . Employees are lovely and helpful . Although I wouldn’t go back as location is into back alleys or to be honest I would never recemmond any riad around Médina square as you just can’t avoid street venders and other people trying to sell you each and everything and local kids chasing you specially I have a 7 month old and everyone would just come up and start stretching her cheeks without saying a word to us . I don’t mind people showing love to my girl but not the street walkers and other venders . We loved excursions but only book with tour operator in square not with hotel . I really loved hamam and massage arranged by my Riad . They would make you tea and coffee whenever you want but no iron or laundry services available so pls take your own iron . The pool is very cold so I will say it’s only a show piece . We didn’t use roof terrace as there isn’t much upstairs . Riad doesn’t offer any entertainment It’s clean small place
We stayed here for 3 nights. I was a disappointed that the pricing shown on Expedia was not clear and did not accurately reflect what I would actually be paying. It wasn’t until after I booked that it was made clear that we had to pay extra for the 3 children to the tune of €10 per night/per child. The shower was poor and light fixture was broken so I had to shower three kids in the dark. Also I ran out of hot water after 1 child. I’m fairly certain that the wi-fi wasn’t usable in most rooms but could be used in the main seating area downstairs. Breakfast was nice.
Good, can be better.
Excellent managers, very helpful. Location excellent. It will be great if our family's suite would have a bathroom and toilet door instead of a curtain, and wifi in the room. Currently wifi only at ground floor. I found it expensive and not worth 4 stars. Pool is only ornamental rather then swimming as advertised on the web.
Although, it was difficult to locate, it was a very comfortable hotel with excellent staff.
Holiday to Marrekech
Riad Aubrac was in a prime central location 7 minutes from jama al fna Square. The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service and went out of their way to help you.Breakfast was served at 8.30 am to 11am .As we were going on excursion trips ,on our request staff woke up earlier to serve us breakfast .I would definetly recommend Riad Aubrac and would stay there again.
Reasonably priced but No main road access from car
Very narrow path to get to the Riad and it’s a dark alleyway too in the night. Overcrowded narrow alleyways/coble streets including cats, dogs, people, vehicles, donkeys, horses and mules carts, etc every where. No room to walk. No pavements. Over crowded every where outside the narrow streets/alleyways... Once you are in the Riad, its Quite and good. Staff were very nice. We asked dinner for 2 days and the food and the service were good. However as per the advertisement, breakfast was not provided from 6 AM but they gave us packed breakfast which included yoghurt, small cheese, some days orange juices and bread to take away in the morning with us. Toilet/bathroom needs improving because it was not possible to use the shower properly due to loose mounting bracket. Show room used to get flooded after showers and had to remove all the draining covers to drain water. We would have preferred bright Room lights in the room.
Scary area
I couldntd stay there due to the place beeing to hidden in a bad area in he middle of alleys lost my money had to book a hotel in the new city it was Amazing.
Nice Riad in walking distance to Jemma el Fna
The Riad was comfy, staff was amazing and accommodating, breakfast was good and made us omelet every morning. It is in walking distance to market, restaurants Jemma square and taxi station.
Beautiful Riad in a great location
Almost a perfect experience! The only bad thing is the morning I checked out, I didn't get my wake up call like they were suppose to and there was no one at the reception as promised, I almost missed my flight. Apart from this, loved the place and the room.
Small and private Riad in the heart of the Medina
A small Riad of only 6 bedrooms but with a very friendly charm. The entrance to the Riad is tucked away down narrow alleys which makes it quiet and private. There are 3 levels of bedrooms with a roof terrace where you can have breakfast which has a lovely view across the rooftops. The rooms are traditional but very clean and the staff are very welcoming. It is only a ten minute walk to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Nicely located Riad
This was lovely Riad that was located within a reasonable distance to the main square. we stayed in the Bouton D'Or room which was nice but didn't have a bathroom door which would have been nice to have! The facilities on the whole were good.
Lovely little riad in a quiet nook
Fabulously hidden (keep going left!!!) in a quiet lane the Aubrac is a lovely little haven among the bustle. Simple and immaculate furnishings... The curtain instead of bathroom door may faze some. Staff wonderfully helpful in 3 languages - really a little jewel.
Excellent value for money - amazing service!
LOVED this riad! This riad has superb customer service - there are only 6 guestrooms so they treat you well! It is not as expensive as other riads but is still nice and cozy. It is walkable to the main square as well as multiple other attractions. I enjoyed the daily walk to the Jemna El Fin (main square) where you can hail petit taxis; you get to see local alley life with street vendors during the walk. The rooms have AC which is mandatory during the summer when temperatures are easily the high 90's or even above 100 (Farenheit). You have to knock to get in the front door (security measures), but there is always staff available to greet you. Comfy beds, too. The riad is well decorated and has many common areas to hang out in when you're hiding from the Marrakesh heat. There is a small dipping pool on the ground floor along with courtyard tables and little reading room in the back. There are also two rooftop decks, one fully covered and the other partially covered. Do arrange an airport pick up with the riad via email; it IS actually hard to find as Google Maps has the wrong address. If you don't, have small coins handy to give a local boy to show you the location. My only complaint is relatively minor; the bathroom does not have a door but only a privacy curtain. I was traveling with family so not an issue for me. Overall this riad has a lovely ambiance, great customer service, and a great price point. Highly recommend this place!
Above and beyond expectations
This riad made our stay in Marrakesh so much more memorable! The accommodation itself is absolutely amazing, so authentic and felt like our own piece of Morocco - we loved it! Having heard about the maze of Marrakech's laneways and streets, this riad was located within an easy walk to the main square, Jemaa El-Fna which was our point of reference so that helped immensely! What has stood out above anything else was the service we were provided! Kaoutar went above and beyond to help us with our queries and ensure we had a great stay. We had booked a tour that apparently did not exist and she made all the calls and inquiries to track down the agency to no avail and still managed to find us another tour, all within one afternoon. If it wasn't for this amazing service, our stay in Marrakech would have been a disaster as we do not speak the language and wouldn't know where to go. Thank you Riad Aubrac for an amazing stay and all your help!
Nice hotel close to the square
I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised by the hospitality and the room was comfortable
Riad experience
Location good for riad experience and was beautifully decorated, really helpful staff but is situated down dark alley ways which is a little scary as you can't see who is around the next corner. Also you have to walk quite a distance for pick up/drop offs as cars aren't allowed through the narrow streets. My son and I got lost at night time after being dropped off from a trip and to say it wasn't a pleasant experience is putting it mildly. We had to rely on a local to send us in the right direction who then tried to extract a lot of money from us.
Authentic feeling Riad
The riad was lovely, the staff were friendly & helpful. They organised the airport transfers for us including a Porter to meet the cab & take us to the riad as it would be very difficult to find at night. Riad is about 10 min walk from main square but easy to find once you know. The breakfast was also good. The only negative was the room, which was very small and the bathroom was not at all as modern as the photos led us to believe (not even a door on the bathroom).
Wonderful staff and food but cramped room
Spent three nights at this riad in February of this year.
Charismatic and full of character
Said was very welcoming and I was very fortunate that he was there most of the time during my stay. A very pleasant gentleman who helped me find my way around Morocco and gave valuable tips and recommendations on how to enjoy my holiday as a solo female traveler. He was very accommodating to my demanding breakfast times too. This riad is not easy to find and I'd recommend a pick up from the airport on your arrival. But it is just how the streets of Morocco are. The riad is complete with Moroccan character in terms of its location and charming layout. Quiet, clean, safe and comfortable. Having said that, I was a solo traveler and so had ample room to myself. Can't speak for people travelling in bigger groups. I had wifi in my room. There isn't a TV in the room but there is one in the lounge that is usually empty anyway. Didn't bother me as I didn't come to Morocco to watch TV. It is close to all the attractions- 5 mins walk to the square and at the max, 30 mins walk to the palaces, gardens and to new Marrakech. My only advice to solo female travelers is to be very sure of your way back to the riad and to familiarise yourself with the path in daylight. The last 1 minute walk back to the riad is not lit. The first couple of nights back I had random men tailing me which Said did warn me about. Most of them were just pretending to be friendly guides and never laid a finger on me but one did grope my butt. As I warmed up to the place, I learnt how to fend off these unwanted company
nice riad in heart of medina
Great, small Riad in the heart of the medina, about a 10 min walk from the Jemaa El Fna.
Excellent Riad 'hidden' down a side street
Can be tricky to find - recommend getting the friendly and helpful staff (Kaouton & Said) to book your transfer from the airport. Last bit of the journey involves walking at speed down narrow streets and alleys with your luggage in a hand cart. When the brown door opens it is like stepping into a different world (a charming and calm one). The rooms are fairly basic but the showers worked fine. Perhaps the best bit is the roof terrace, watching the sun go down with a glass of wine (purchased at LGW) or eating breakfast looking out over the rooftops Kaouton and Said were both very helpful - nothing was too much trouble and both spoke very good English - much better than our French We found we could pick up wifi just outside our room (Bleuet) on the upper floor
Lovely stay with friendly staff
Really loved it, great place, really nice. friendly feel. Be warned though, It is through winding alleyway which was daunting on arrival as we took a taxi from the airport and not a shuttle car with Aubrac.........the cab driver dumped us at the entrance of the alley. new country was a tad scary but our fault for not booking a shuttle car with Aubrac. So definitely recommend doing this and was cheaper.
Great location!
Great location and good breakfast, okay room and staff- but nothing above and beyond average.
Downtown hotel with awesome location in Markets
Tip: Pay for hotel transfer Pros: -Hotel staff is soooooo friendly, would do anything to make your stay comfortable -Location, downtown, take a taxi anywhere for about 5 euro -Eating breakfast on the Terrace Roof Top -Breakfast was mostly bread/pastry but egg was made upon request -decoration of the rooms -nestled among the markets Cons: -Beds was very firm ( i like a soft bed) -Bathrooms and rooms were dimly lit, would like brighter lighting -Not recommended for small babies due to no frigerator, microwave, etc...in the room -Wifi is spoty in some areas, most strong on the lobby floor -Not much food variety Less than 24 hours before I flew to Marrekesh, the hotel emails me saying "Magurite" suite that I booked was double booked and I could only stay there for the first two nights but then the 3 remaining nights they would have to put in a another room. They offered me 15 euro (5 euro a night) for the difference between the rooms, free transfer to/from hotel (30 euro) value, and exempted local hotel tax per night. I was very irritated because I came with a family and expected to stay in the suite the whole time and figured why did i have to get kicked out the room when I would be there first and why wouldnt they just reassign the other guest when they came to the other room. They said other guest was celebrating their anniverary so they needed a special room. How is their reason any more important than mine for visiting.
Perfect
Riad Aubrac was a beautiful tranquil little oasis within the madness of Marrakech. Staff were amazing and always willing to help. Couldn't fault anything. thank you for everything.
Good staff but the location was a bit hard to find. Once you knew where it was it was convenient and easy to find. IT was peaceful and quiet. The staff was very accommodating and in that way I could not have asked for more. I would recommend this riad.
We got a perfect transfert from the airport to the Riad, it could not be better! As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed, helped with tips to get our bearings. The Riad is so beautiful, the breakfasts amazing, and the location perfect to discover Marrakech
Great place to stay
We had a lovely stay at Riad Aubrac, the staff were very accommodating and made it feel like a home away from home. Location is great, good walking distance to the main square but far enough away from the chaos! Would definitely recommend.
Great riad, hidden away.
Great place, nestled away from the hustle and bustle a few minutes from the main square. Great for the family and beautifully kept. Recommend using the airport to collection to make finding it easier.
Lovely Riad that's close to the action
The Riad is decorated beautifully and seems very authentic. It is close to the main square and the main attractions but still manages to be a tranquil and relaxing place to come back to at the end of a hectic day in Marrakech. The breakfast is great and staff are friendly and helpful. I don't have a bad word to say and would recommend this Riad to anyone.
Good price, good staff and good location.
I found this place just the right distance from the main square. It's a 5 minute walk which is close enough for a quick bite to eat and far enough that the noise doesn't bother you. There's plenty of good restaurants and corner stores close by that you don't have to go the square every time. The staff were great and the breakfast was fabulous.
The best riad in Marrakech!
Me and my friend had an excellent stay at Riad Aubrac. It truly became our home in Marrakech, and we will without doubt stay there again if we ever go back. Super-friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great to have a small pool to cool down in after a warm day, and really nice rooms. In general, the hotel is really nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and gave us an introduction to the main things to see in Marrakech, answered all our questions and even helped us with printing out our plane tickets. We used the transfer service from the airport provided by the hotel when we arrived, and we were met by a friendly and helpful driver. We can recommend using it when you arrive since the hotel can be a bit hard to find, but take a taxi when you go back to the airport since it is around half price. It should cost around 70 dirham. A big thanks to the staff at Riad Aubrac for making our stay in Morocco so great! :)
Rooms setup in the traditional Moroccan way with wonderful attention to detail. The location of the hotel seemed unsafe at first (dark corner alley) but then you soon realize almost all Riads near Jama Fna are like that; and the area is generally safe. We had the margeruitte which can accommodate 5, which means the couch is turned into a bed for kids, so it can feel a little tight. AC was also a little weak and ended up sweating a bit at night. Staff did try to resolve the issue on both days but to no a avail. Loved decor, the rooftop seating, accommodating staff.
Peace and quiet
Very comfortable place to stay. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. Nice and quiet away from the busy souks and square.
Great stay and excellent value for money
My friend and I stayed for 4 nights at this lovely riad in the heart of the medina. We are warmly welcomed by Saiid who pointed out the easy way to remember how to get to the main square and back (using 2 artistic pieces of local graffiti on medina walls)- the main square was an easy 10 minute walk so great location. Saiid was really helpful throughout our stay, answering our endless questions, arranging a trip and hamman. The other staff were equally lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in Bouton d'or - very spacious, with a lovely window over the main courtyard. It was on the first floor, at the end of the passage so no one was walking past it. The beds were firm but comfy, the linens and towels really good and the dressing gowns a welcome surprise. The air con also worked really well. The wifi was strong. Breakfast could either be served in the courtyard or the roof terrace (we chose the terrace) and was lovely - either yoghurt with a croissant or boiled egg and cake and bread, fresh orange juice and a Moroccan flat bread and mint tea/black tea/coffee. The riad was really quiet - especially compared to the chaos just metres away. Sitting on the roof terrace watching the sun go down and then hearing all the calls to prayer from the surrounding mosques was a highlight. I would recommend the riad thoroughly for a stay - excellent value for money and I can't think of anything else I could have asked for.
Lovely riad!
This is a wonderful Riad in Ben Salah, just a short walk to Jema el'Fnaa Square. It is quite a bit difficult to find so on arrival I'd recommend getting their pickup service from the Airport or Train Station. The pickup was a bit pricey (15 Euros) but totally worth it, as I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise, even though we had GPS on our phones! Breakfast is lovely though I'm not sure about what others have said about having it on the terrace, I'd feel awful having the sweet cook bring up all the dishes and food from the first floor! Breakfast was very tasty - A hot drink of your choice, orange juice (a must have in Marrakech!), a pastry, egg and Moroccan crepe (pancake). The front desk staff was always very helpful when we had questions. The only negative I would note is that our room (Jonquille) is right on the first floor so if there are people hanging out late smoking or having breakfast, you can hear (and smell) everything, so if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to cigarette smoke like I am I would perhaps try one of the other rooms. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay here!
Nice small Riad 10 minutes walk from Jemaa El Fna.
Excellent food, clean comfy rooms and very friendly staff. Very helpful with booking our trips and making my visit there as comfortable as possible.
Cheerful and helpful staff with true smile.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Always took immediate action whatever we asked them. We decided to use their lunch and dinner menu twice but had an opportunity to used it only once and I must have to mention food was delicious like their 5 star service. We used their day tour service as well what is arranged by them but provided by third party agency. I am very sorry to say we had not great experience from third party tour what we arranged by them. As driver decided to cut some of the tours actual activities and took us different place what we did not ask for. And once we had words with driver he explained visiting organic oil factory is much important then have a cup of tea with Berber family. And he did not think it is important to asked us what we actually wanted to see. But of course he took us Atlas mountain , waterfall and overall he was good apart from 1/3 of trip activities that he amended for his own wish ! Riad Aubrac situated on a very good place where everything is within walking distance, like food shop or window shopping, breakfast, cloths shopping, and Mosque. Before went to Morocco I asked them to arranged airport collection and that was good as it was very convenient and as our arrival time was late so it was helpful. I would recommended everyone arrange airport collection with them and at least use their lunch or dinner menu for once. Alleyway is dark at night so better to come back Riad before 11 pm. It was very good tour overall, Highly recommended.
Not recommended for family with kids
Suitable for older couples and not recommended for family with kids. Bad side:No kids activities, very small swim pool, no TV in the room. Very poor shower, poor access to Riad. Good side:Roof terrace, good food, close to Medina, helpful night manager
Nice staff and room, poor internet
We spent 2 nights in Aubrac. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was spacious and clean. The location is very close to Jama al Fna. The only thing bad about it is that it's a little difficult to find, as it's located in an alley within an alley and gets very dark at night. The internet service was pretty bad, and the staff would turn off the wi-fi at night, which was a bit annoying, but they would turn it on upon request. The main reason I am giving the hotel a 3, as opposed to a 4, is that the night before we checked out, the staff left us a note saying that their credit card machine wasn't working and that we were requested to pay in cash. I was skeptical as soon as I saw the note. The next day we told the staff we didn't have enough cash and needed to pay by credit card. Miraculously (not really), they were able to get the machine working and said that we should pay them whatever cash we had and they would charge the balance on the card, which made no sense given that the reason they were requesting cash was their inability to accept credit card payments. I found that behavior to be very dishonest, and for that, I give this place 3 stars.
Oasis in the heat in the Medina
The medina may be intimidating with the heat and its hagglers, but in Riad Aubrac you could find a trustworthy, clean and nice refuge. The rooms are clean, the breakfast has variety beyond the usual bread, and it is complete with a small but lovely swimming pool. A special mention must be made to Said, who accompanied us and acted as an interpreter with the police for several hours after my wallet was stolen.
Beautiful Riad a few minutes walk from the main sq
Fantastic location, fantastic decor and condition, amazing staff! Once you find it, it's an easy walk to and from the souks and main square. Kaoutar and Said along with the housekeeping staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful and help host this oasis of calm, in this perfectly hectic city. Only a 15 minute private taxi (that Aubrac will organise) from the airport. They will also happily help organise excursions and advise on what to do... Final note, make sure you eat at the Riad at least once in your stay, by far the best meal we had was the perfect tagine and couscous, sat in the roof terrace watching the sunset across the mountains and the city.
Very bad hotel
Very bad hotel couldn't stay there even for one night. Left the hotel straight away.
Riad Aubrac- in the heart of the Medina
The riad staff were very welcoming and friendly. They attended to all our needs. The riad is charming and provided an oasis of calm within the bustle of the souks. The roof-top terrace was a lovely area to relax on a warm evening. The traditional meal we had on our first night was delicious- although relatively expensive. The breakfast were a great start to the day. The french propriater was particularly friendly and helpful.
Wonderful Experience
They are so kind. We loved them. Next time we will choose this hotel again.

Excellent
Great stay. Great location if you're there to experience Medina. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Spacious rooms.
