The property was nice but it didn’t look quite like the pictures everything seemed larger than what it actually was. Breakfast was decent and the staff were nice and provided good suggestions for dining. Location was great.
Overall good
Lovely. Not the location they had on Google which is a sham as that’s how I found them initially. They also said their card machine “wasn’t working” when we went to pay at the end which was annoying as we were told we could pay by card. They were good about vegan food for my partner. Our room was on the ground floor so didn’t feel like we had much privacy. The pool is lovely and the rooftop is nice. They organised an airport pick up for us which was nice. €18 though when our return cost half that.
We stayed at Riad Argan for a vacation trip for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff and location. Everyone was very friendly. The location is close to all tourist attractions. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend them to others.
Not very traditional Have to admit person who has designed has thought through good. Morden facilities & all But generally I wasn’t impressed much
Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Riad was beautiful.
Can’t get lost at this Riad.
Was met by owner at nearby taxi station and escorted to the property. Mint tea and snacks on arrival, then explanation on local area and things to see. Beautiful room and Riad , excellent fresh breakfasts. Personality plus and very humble! Location is absolutely perfect. Highly recommended. I will definitely return.
Outstanding hotel centrally located in the middle of the Medina. Friendly and attentive staff that makes the experience fantastic.
Comfortable stay in Marrakech
Convenient location. Host is very friendly and accommodating. He gave us a map showing some key walkable locations.
Lovely Safe Riad
Or stay at the Riad was perfect for our trip. Host greeted us upon arrival with a nice cup of tea and provided allot of information on places to go and how to get there. The room was comfortable and beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend!
The Place to stay in Marrakech
The Riad Argan was perfect for my daughter and I on our first visit to Morocco! Very safe, clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t been more helpful and welcoming. We felt vey much a part of the local scene.. Marrakech what an amazing, exotic place. We were helped to arrange a walking tour of the city, find great places to eat and a fabulous day trip to the Atlas Mountains area where we hiked to waterfalls, rode camels and ate lunch with locals. I heartily recommend visiting Marrakech and most certainly staying at the Riad Argan.
Riad Argan was a wonderful place to stay during our first visit to Marrakech. The manager and the rest of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room and common areas were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the daily breakfast was delicious. The Riad is well located near the souk and the main square, and a quick walk to the parking lot where you can find a taxi. I would highly recommend it.
Beautiful Riad in a great location!
What an amazing experience! The Riad was beautiful and in a great location. Although it's definitely a maze it's really easy to find the main palaces and the big square which made navigating much simpler than I thought it would be. The staff is wonderful, big thanks to Soufiane who was a very helpful host. Breakfast was lovely and overall it was a very peaceful, secure setting.
Incredible Riad!
We loved our stay in the Riad! Soufiane was so hospitable and the staff was a delight to work with. The mint tea on arrival was delicious. The location is perfectly located between Bahia Palace and Jemaa El-Fna. The room was sparkling clean and the breakfast was delicious! Soufiane printed our boarding passes and handled transportation to and from the Riad. Highly recommend!
Great place and what makes it greater is the staff: Soufianne, Habeeba, Badr, Hanane, Mahasen. Great experience including warmth, friendliness, FOOD (yes). We rented a hotel, the staff made us feel home. Thanks to them all
Great staff, beautiful room, uncomfortable matress, great water pressure in shower
We can highly recommend this beautiful Riad. We were a group of 6 with a 1 year old and the staff coud not have done more for us. Amazing attention to detail and nothing too much trouble. This really made our stay in Marrakech and we will most definately come back here. Be sure to have the tangier lamb slow cooked for 7 hours in the Riad it is to die for.
My review is based from the perspective of a 28 year old male that has lived in New York City for his entire life. This Riad is located in a inner street, still very close to the Medina and action. Upon entry I was greeted by a young lady that immediately got me the keys to my room. Prior to arrival the owner Sufian emailed me to verify my arrival time. When I entered my room i was amazed at how clean it was, ranging from the floors to bathroom and beds. Also the AC worked very well. After getting settled in Sufian introduced himself to me. He provided his WhatsApp contact info if i needed him at anytime which i loved. Sufian than provided a map to me of places within walking distance that I should visit. I asked about our included breakfast the following day. Sufian indicated that there was no specific time and it would be ready when I am. The following day, I woke up and was expecting a mass produced continental breakfast as we are use to in the United States. I was so wrong, all of my breakfast items were cooked to order when i was ready to eat. You can tell that everything was fresh and made with love. This breakfast was a filling one. A safe cab ride was arranged back to the airport by the owner. I cannot thank Riad Argan enjoy for making my stay a pleasant one and also exposing me to the warm hospitality of the Moroccan people.
A Rare Experience
Location was convenient and close to everything we wanted to see. The management was considerate and very hospitable.
This was a great Riad in old Marrakesh. The staff was super friendly and was willing to help in any way possible. It was like staying in a private home. The location was in the middle of all the activity yet tucked away far enough where it was very quiet. The only negative thing I could say was the bed was very hard...but I guess that's on par for a riad. It would be nice if they placed a foam mat on the top of the bed.
This property was beautiful and what made it incredible was the staff. Soufiane and the other folks who worked here were so kind and hospitable. Highly recommmend this place - perfect location in the Medina that is also somehow incredibly soundproof from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Breakfast is simple and lovely, and there is a wonderful terrasse!
A hidden gem!
Lovely little hole in the wall hiding a real gem of a place. Great location, wonderful service, comfortable bed, tasty breakfasts... all good.
Everything was fantastic. The only minor complaint was when we ask what the price for the laundry they wouldn’t tell us the price, but said it was not expensive ... it was about $22 for both of us. It was done well and neatly folded so thank you! But just more then we were expecting. They were very kind and even printed our boarding passes (as Ryanair charges 15€ for each boarding pass if not printed) Everything else was perfect and couldn’t ask for more.
Just what we needed!
Staying at the Riad Argan was a joy. The staff were all very friendly and always very very helpful. The Riad was close by to the the main square and shoppings areas. The owner recommended some nice places for us to eat, booked us a massage in a very nice spa and also booked a day trip for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend
A must stay
Amazing Riad in the Médina excellent Highly recommend 10 out of 10
Lovely, intimate Riad in perfect location
Enjoyed our week's stay. Have stayed before in 2015. Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Almost Perfect!
Great service and very nice host and staff. Very central location that is within a 10 minute walk of most of the tourist attractions in Marrakech. Only negatives were the wifi and cell phone sigbal from within our room was on and off because the walls are very thick, as well as the bed was not the most comfortable. Besides that, everything else was perfect!
Gorgeous rooms in riad style
The rooms were fantastic--beauifully decorated with painted cedar ceilings and high-quality bedding. Terrific bathroom. It was difficult to find as one has to go through a dark tunnel to find it. I'm usually a good navigator but found a kid to help me locate it since I did not have a sim card for my phone and couldn't call as the manager suggested I do. However tthe location is very close to the square and yet far enough away to be quiet. As it is riad-style, any noise in the courtyard travels and there was a group there when I stayed so they were in courtyard together socializing a lot which was sort of annoying at times. Oddly, there are no locks on the doors. One can't get in without a key to the riad, but after that, the room can only be locked from inside (not when one is away).
Fabulous riad
This was the third time we have stayed here and although there were new owners the original great staff were still employed there. Traditional riad, close to the square , lovely traditional rooms and breakfast. Everything was fabulous you will not be dissapointed.
A little bit of heaven
Riad Argan is certainly the place to stay. With it being so close to everything to the wonderful staff my stay was brilliant 10 out of 10. They just made me feel at home. Will definitely be back
Ideal location for the Medina
Ideally located if you want to experience the Medina and its surroundings. Everything is literally a 10 min walk from Riad Argan. It doesn't feel like a hotel and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Beds comfortable and general facilities were clean and well maintained. Very little noise considering the hustle and bustle just meters from the front door.
Great location and fantastic staff
From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and given all the information we needed. Rooms were excellent, staff super friendly & we were shown around the area and given all instructions about how to get around. Any trips, spas, meals etc were booked and overall they could not have gone out of their way to make us feel more at home and comfortable. We did eat in the Riad one night and it was the best meal of the trip - highly recommended!
Great little place
We visited for a few days in december. The owners were so kind and helpful, from arranging an airport pick up for us, through to the treats for my birthday 🙌🏼 And the tips for surviving in the souks. The roof terrace was lovely in the mild December sun.
The perfect place to stay in Marrakech
I loved this riad! I would stay here again in a heart beat. The riad is beautiful and the staff is amazing.
Warmest of welcomes
From the moment that we booked, Francoise and Bernard went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They arranged for a pickup from the airport and a fantastic meal for our first night. The gave a thorough orientation to the city and a pocket map with lots of tips of what to see and where to go. They walked with us to the market for the first day. They have that wonderful balance between being attentive yet not overbearing. We felt very safe and welcomed in this beautiful Riad which is very centrally located, but also quiet. I have travelled extensively and very rarely met such wonderful hosts. I cannot recommend this Riad and its charming staff highly enough!
Wonderful stay at the Riad Argan!
Had a wonderful time in Marrakech at Riad Argan. Francois, the owner, really took good care of us, showed us around and helped us arrange things we needed. Sufyan and Habiba were always around if we ever needed anything (including free mint tea any time of the day or night!). Would highly recommended staying here if you want to be near to the square and the market.
Lovely Riad, great location
We had a really nice stay here, great location and very friendly staff. The Riad was a lovely place to relax after a long day sightseeing in Marrakech. There is a lovely sun terrace where you can have your breakfast and also relax in the sun.
5 stars
Didn't love Markkesh but this place was awesome.
The staff was incredibly nice and the food was delicious. I would stay there again.
Great balance
Stayed a few days. Great to be close to chaos of the main square and a haven of calm
Great location
Fantastic small guest house. Great location just off the busy shopping streets. Very quiet at night. There were no locks on the outside of the guest rooms but because the house was small and secure we did not think this was a problem, room safe was provided for valuables. Breakfasts was very much the same each day but, as long as you liked it, it was very good. Lovely roof terrace and staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay right in the heart of it all.
Françoise and Bernard were amazing hosts, and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. The Riad is in a quiet corner just steps from a main artery in the Medina. It's a great place to stay if you would like to be able to walk everywhere. I was greeted with a lovely meal and a glass of red wine, due to my late arrival. Françoise organized airport transport, so I didn't have to worry about one thing during my short trip. My room was comfortable, stylish, and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Very comfortable stay in an excellent raid, just a few minutes from the main square. Airport transfers offered in advance which is always helpful in Marrakech. Francoise was always available to help with information about Marrakech etc. Nice quiet roof terrace to relax on. No complaints.
Excellent Riad with personal experience
Very nice stay at this very comfortable Riad in the heart of the Médina. What was particularly special and very helpful was the personal experience given by Françoise and her team. After booking we had an email from Francoise asking if we wanted picking up from the airport, we booked transfer with BA, so wasnt needed but nice touch. Instead she met us at the parking area near the Riad and walked us to the location. On arrival we had mint tea and she gave us a map and then walked us to the main square which was only a 10 minute walk away. This personal service made us very happy and set us up for our 3 days in Marrakech, which is a very stressful place to go. The rooms were very well decorated in morrocan style, breakfast was adequate and served at what ever time we wanted. Free WiFi, safe, water and toiletries. The location is down a small back alley, which appears to be very safe despite its look. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend. Thanks to Françoise and her team.
Excellent hospitality
Our host was very accommodating in all respects. On the first night, we had arrived from Casablanca with food poisoning and wanted to have something light and clean. Our host made us some flavoursome vegetable soup and fresh bread...which she did free of charge. The riad is situated conveniently in the medina, within walking distance of many sites. Take advantage of the transfer offers provided by the riad so you don't have to deal with the taxi drivers. It is a nice riad, freshly renovated with a lovely terrace. We were also allowed to have a delicious breakfast at anytime. On the last of our 5 night stay, we had breakfast at 6.30am and it wasn't a problem. Highly recommended.
Short break
Françoise and her staff were very helpful, arranged a taxi from the airport and helped us get our bearings before we set out. The location could not be better if you want to be in the Medina area.
A place of peace, beauty, and relaxation.
Our hostess was amazing. Her staff was incredible. Most definitely the highlight of our visit to Marrakech was knowing we had this amazing place to retire to at the end of a busy day, or anytime during the day to just rest, retreat from the sun and heat, or get away from the constant madness that is the main square. The Riad Argan is only a short 2 minute walk to the square, but seems a million miles away when you're back at the riad resting and getting away from the business of the Souq. It's doubtful we will ever return to Marrakech, but if we do, we will only go if we can stay here. The rooms are a good size, with a private bathroom for each. Breakfast was excellent every morning, and the main room on the ground level is wonderfully decorated, and another great location to sit and relax. If you are going to be staying in Marrakech, near the square, don't miss the chance to stay here.
Jack and Lynda in Marrakech
Francoise and Berard could not do enough for us. Together with Mahassine and Sophian we really felt part of the family. The location is pretty central and we walked everywhere except the Majarelle Gardens which was a carriage ride away - horse or taxi. Dinner is available on request and wine is available of which we took advantage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely riad, conveniently located
Beautiful riad and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. They arranged transport and excursions for us throughout our stay, as well as offering advice on how to tackle haggling and what prices were reasonable to settle at. Breakfast was delicious and I couldn't recommend Riad Argan highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Excellent experience, we were very pleased of all the services provided by Francoise and Bernard and entire staff. Excellent choice, highly recommended!
The Weavers - wow, fantastic, friendly, central
What a wonderful riad. The owners are friendly, very welcoming and very knowledgeable. Would really recommend you stay here, and take up their offer of a taxi from the airport with a guide to take you straight to the riad. Wonderful food - breakfast a delight and the evening meal we had there was very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the room was very clean and well equipped. To get the best and full experience of Marrakech, you can do no better than to spend time at the riad Argan. We will return, and are recommending our son to stay here when he visits Morocco in June.
A true gem in Marrakech
This small B&B hotel is located in the heart of old Marrakech. It is within the walls of the Medina, but still very quiet. You'll have no need for taxis. Museums, palaces, souks and the night market are all within a short walk. Françoise and Bernard are the innkeepers and they are incredibly friendly and helpful ensuring that you will have a wonderful stay. They arranged a driver for us to see the Kasbahs. We highly recommend Riad Argan.
Excellent - lovely friendly owners and staff. Great breakfast, great location and roof terrace.
Traditional riad 5 mins from main square
Excellent customer servive, from welcoming warm and friendly staff, took up offer of taxi from airport and was greeted on arrival although flight was late. The owner was extremely helpful next morning with local information and maps. Breakfast was local and very good.
Vibrant and cosy
Amazing riad right in the heart of things, but still quiet and cosy. Each room is different and appointed with artful colors and tiles. In addition, the owners and staff take care of your every question and need from special breakfast requests to spa appointments to recommendations for small, local art galleries. As a single (female) traveller, I really appreciated the help and I had a fabulous trip. I would recommend this riad to anyone.
Perfect hotel in a perfect location
Such a fantastic hotel, in a perfect location and run by the most welcoming and friendly owners and staff. I would 100% recommend this place
Luxe Riad at great price
This is the third riad we have stayed in and the best so far. Our suite (Ivoire) was spacious, beautiful and spotlessly clean. The owners and staff are beyond helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are plentiful and good. Great location if you want to be right inside the medina. Highly recommend it.
Marrakech Riad
5 minutes from main square. Delightful, helpful hosts and staff. Nothing too much trouble. Hearty breakfasts and meals available. Had romantic anniversary meal by ourselves which was delicious. Free bottle of wine thrown in! Rooftop terrace terrific for chillaxing. Highly recommended. Will visit again. Bill & Debbie January 2105
Great location.
This riad is perfect getaway yet being in the center of everything. Our host Francois was amazing. Greeted with mint tea and told us where and what we need to see. Also helped is booking desert tour and hammam massage. We had a great time in marrakesh. I would definitely recommend this hotel . Francois offered us a ride from train station to the riad which we didn't take. I would suggest have someone from riad pick you up since its a little difficult to find the first time. And when people see you are lost they will ask money to give you directions.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in!
Absolutely wonderful hotel. Very possibly the best hotel experience I have ever had in any country. After some bad experiences earlier in the day with another riad, Riad Argan saved my trip. The owner spoke excellent English and she and her staff did absolutely everything to make the stay as enjoyable and accommodating as possible. The hotel commons and rooms are beautiful and the food and pastries were delicious. If you're in Marrakech and want to explore the medina from a good home base, do yourself a favor and stay here!
4 nights for the Marrakesh Marathon
Very nice Riad well situated in a quiet area not far from the main square. Owners very friendly and happy to help in anyway they can. Good room size beautifully decorated.
excellent
Great Stay owners were a Lovely couple & very helpfull 5 star service
Great staff and service
Very good location and close to main square. Staff is very helpful and showed us directions to main square and helped book excursions and taxi pickup.
Excellent and faultless
The owner, staffs, riad was faultless, clean, briliant they were very helpful and location is excellent to the main areas.
RIAD ARGAN a lovely boutique Riad close to square
We stayed 3 nights at this boutique riad in November, 2014 and this was one of the best experiences of our 3-week trip in Spain and Morocco. The 7 room riad has an intimate feel and was beautifully designed and built in traditional style by the wonderful owner-manager Franco-Moroccan couple Francoise and Bernard. They have decades of international experience in the hospitality industry and it shows in the detailed attention to service - you really feel personalized service. Definitely recommend the airport pickup/dropoff service offered through the Riad as the location can be hard to find. The staff are delightful and attentive. Mahasin is an amazing cook - be sure to have at least one meal at the riad to appreciate this! She showed us the proper way to make mint tea. We were given an orientation walk to the nearby main square Djemma Al-Fna (5 min walk) and orientation to a massage appointment and to local shops to find a souvenir coffee pot. Rooms are very well appointed and you will not be wanting for comfort! Wonderful breakfasts on the rooftop terrace. Contrast between this tranquil, comfortable riad and the surrounding chaotic old city is amazing. Happy to recommend this marvellous Riad in old Marrakech!
Great place to stay
It was great. The owners are lovely.
Great Location
Picked up at the airport, met by the owner who took us to the Riad and after settling in she showed us around the medina so we wouldn't get lost.
5 star Service
The owner of this gorgeous Riad is absolutely fantastic. Francoise was incredibly helpful, flexible and generous and our trip felt like a breeze (no mean feat as it was over Eid!). Book here, I can promise you won't regret it.
Excellent Riad, stay here!
An outstanding Riad, truly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The owners were incredibly helpful and above all kind, friendly people. The riad is only small but beautifully decorated, very relaxing and we had a great stay. Breakfast on the terrace will set you up for the morning and it's a 5 min walk tops to the main square. Rooms very comfortable. I could not recommend more highly.
Beautifully renovated Riad near to main square
5 star for customer service. Franciose and her staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we really felt that she tried her best to make sure we enjoyed our stay in Marrakeckh. Meals available in the evening if you wish were excellent and good value.
Wonderful Riad Argan
Fantastic host and hostess. Nothing is to much trouble for Francoise and Bernard. Great staff, facilities and location. I would not hesitate to recommend this Riad to friends and family or anyone looking to visit Marrakesh.
Perfect hideaway amongst the craziness!
The hotel is situated in the heart of the medina, a few winding alleys from the busiest and most spectacular street. We arrived late and were met from our taxi by sofienne (this is probably spelt terribly.. Apologies). He showed us the way to the Riad and up to the roof terrace where a gorgeous and simple 3 course meal awaited.. Yum! The next morning the lovely French couple, Francois and Bernard, who run the Riad met us. Francois took us on a guided trip around the Medina which was very comforting as it's pretty mental! She recommended restaurants and gave us tips about what to do and what not to worry about.. Exactly what was needed! The Riad is superb.. Beautifly decorated and so secluded. Only 5 rooms meant that one day we had the whole place to ourselves! Stunning roof terrace where breakfast is served (delicious!) and lots of relaxed sunbathing and chilling to be done. The pool on the ground floor was totally serene. Sofienne and the girls who work at the Riad were so wonderful and made constant delicious snacks! We really couldn't recommend it more and will be coming back.. We have already convinced my parents to book this year!! Thank you xxx
June 2014
Great little Riad run by a very hospitable and helpful French couple. Excellent location being close to Marrakech's main attractions. Well presented rooms provide an authentic Riad experience. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Excellent location and fantastic service!
Francoise, Bernard and Sufian were absolutely fantastic! Bernard greeted us at the parking lot to take us directly to the Riad (we would recommend the airport pick up service). Francoise took us on a quick tour around the Medina upon arrival so that we could familiarize ourselves with the surroundings. We really enjoyed the Moroccan mint tea and Sufian showed us how it was made! The location was fantastic - such a quiet little retreat only a 5 minute walk to the Jemaa el Fna. Amazing place…would definitely stay here again!
Lovely riad and a nice roof terrace.
Had a fantastic four days after some reservations about the location. Francois and Bernaud were extremely welcoming and helpful andwe soon felt very comfortable.
Best accommodation I have ever booked.
The sole reason why I say that this has been the best place I have ever booked comes purely down to the Francoise and her amazing staff that really go that extra mile to make sure you have the best stay in Marrakech. After organising for a taxi to pick us up, she personally greeted us at the drop off point and walked us to our hotel. She sat and drank mint tea with us while explaining what there was to do in the city and where everything was (a must because it is absolute nightmare to navigate!). She then showed us to our vary spacious room that really had an Arabian feel. It was fantastic! After us freshening up, she then walked us to the main square, making sure to point out certain landmarks that would guide us back home. She also gave some suggestions to some great places to eat at very cheap prices. Furthermore, she queued up outside the bus stop to make sure we got tickets to Essaouria early in the morning (it took an hr to pick them up), while we just relaxed in the hotel. A special shout out to Sufjan who was the most polite and caring waiter I have ever met! He was so friendly and made sure our very generous breakfasts were enjoyed on the rooftop terrace. He even came and delivered mint tea to us to our room every night just in case we felt like something to drink - all complimentary). This is a truly great riad and you would be hard to find another Riad of equal comfort and SERVICE in the area.
Lovely riad in the heart of the medina
This riad was lovely. When we arrived we were sat down and given traditional morrocan green tea. Francoise was very helpful. She helped us plan our trip and what to visit. We were given a map. She also provided tips on how much to pay for things as taxi drivers and markets try to overcharge foreigners. This was very useful information. The staff looked after us very well and I would strongly recommend this riad. Tres bien!
Just perfect
Riad Argan was just gorgeous. Francoise and Bernard make everything perfect - and go way way beyond what you would expect.
Fantastic Riad - warm hosts & brill location
Francoise and her team are just so helpful and kind. Marrakesh takes a little bit of orientating so her arranging taxis straight from the airport is a brilliant service. She's a fountain of knowledge and kindness. Food is superb - lovely authentic Morrocan breakfasts on the roof terrace are a fab start to the day. Do arrange an evening meal at the Riad, our beef and prune tagine was easily the best if our whole trip. Riad location is brilliant - less than 5 mins to the main square. The rooms are lovely - spotless and serene. Riad Argan is the oasis and base you need to counteract the wonderful frenzy of Marrakesh. Francoise, her husband Bernard, and the Riad team are some of the warmest people we have ever met. Enjoy!
Would recommend to anyone !
The owners of the Riad could not have made our trip easier in terms of pick up and drop off. They are the loveliest people and will do anything they can to help you. The Riad itself is beautiful and felt like a true Moroccan experience, the rooms have everything you need and the decor is amazing. Location wise it could not have been more perfect, was just a few minutes from the square and all the touristy stuff you will want to see. The food in the Riad was lovely, the breakfast was always plentiful and the dinner we had one night was amazing! If I returned to Marrakech I would definitely stay here again.
Best service I've ever experienced at a hotel
A beautiful place to stay and excellent service. Franciose, Bernard and the rest of the staff really couldn't do enough for you. Excellent play to stay for a couples break in the city. Location was perfect also - every attraction just a shot walk away. I recommend having a meal there aswell - the best meal we had in Morocco which is saying something. And the breakfasts were excellent too.
Central location was great. Quiet, even though you
Great stay. Bernard and Francoise could not do enough to make us feel more welcome. Comfortable room, lovely breakfasts, really relaxing. Would recommend the Riad Argan unreservedly
Fabulous Riad which is close to the Medina.
We were looked after extremely well by Francois & Bernard and also the staff. We were picked up at the airport and taken back on day of departure. We were given valuable advice on activities and places to eat. Excellent four days away.
Amazing
It was a beautiful place to stay: clean, quiet, comfortable and elegant. The service was excellent and Francoise went out of her way to make sure our stay was as easy as possible. She arranged a taxi pickup for us and was extremely warm and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and could be taken at any time. Mint tea also on request. The riad is in the medina and an easy to walk to the main attractions. Would most definately stay here again.
WISH WE WERE STILL THERE
Absolutely fantastic Riad, Fransoise and Bernard could not have been more accomodatingThe cooking class with Khadija was fantastic, Habiba, Mahassin ,Soufiane and Khadija were absolutely magnificent. We hopefully will be back in FebruaryThank You so much
Perfect trip in Marrakech
Perfect ! I would recommend this Riad to everyone interested in a trip to Marrakech. Only 5 min walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks. The staff is awesome, Francoise gave us a lot of tips to explore the city and booked excursions in the desert and Ourika valley for us. Breakfast is great and a good way to start visiting this superb country ! Thank you !
Simply amazing & fantastice value
Even before getting to the Riad the service we recieved was exceptional, we were contacted by mail within minutes of booking, offering a taxi from the airport and thanking us for booking. We were met & welcomed from the taxi by Francois, who led us back to the Riad and over a complimentary mint tea (amazing) talked us through the must-see's and marked everything on a map for us. We were then given a guided tour through the streets into the main square, with great advice on restaurants, sights and tipping. The Riad itself is amazing. You can not envisage what awaits you from the outside, but the second you go through the huge wooden doors, its simply breath taking. Its immaculately maintained, absolutely spotless and everything you could want for a couples retreat in a traditional Riad. Breakfast is by far the best I've ever had, and eating in the morning sun on the roof terrace is a must. If you decide to have an evening meal, you wont be disappointed, simple, fresh, traditional and comes with a beer/wine. The service from the staff is also exceptional, polite, curteous and they cant do enough for you. I can not recommend this place highly enough ... fantastic Riad, exceptional service, great food and at a great price !!!!
Excellent owners
The owners are so incredibly accommodating. Staff is very friendly and a wonderful breakfast and excellent coffee. I have traveled to 68 countries and have been coming to Morocco since 1993.
A home away from home
In the chaotic craziness that Marrakesh could be for a first timer, Francoise the owner of this Riad was the perfect guide and created a sense of calm and relaxation. Her Riad felt like a home away from home. There was always someone at hand to help or provide guidance. I woudln't have had such a great vacation without her. The Riad is within perfect walking distance of all the main attractions. It is tucked away in a quiet area, and at first seems hard to find, but Francoise walked us around after we checked in to ensure we knew hwo to easily find her place. She also had someone pick us up and meet us from the airport to ensure we found our way. The Riad is a beautiful newly renovated space with five rooms. She has a wonderful Terrace with lounges to enjoy the sunshine, or seats to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is freshly made for when you get up, and was delicious each morning. I don't think I would have had such a good time without Francoise.
Brilliant
The whole experience was lovely. I got a lovely welcome, and Francoise took me for a quick walk to the square - which I never would have found on my own! This place is so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice! I felt very secure with this riad, and the service was excellent from all staff.. I had a wonderful stay thanks!!
Great experience - wonderful host
A wonderful stay made special by the hospitality of host Francoise and her staff. The breakfast on the terrace was also very nice with traditional Moroccan pastries. The rooms open onto the central courtyard and as this is a small Riad it does result in some noise but a minor issue when compared with opportunity to experience life in the Medina.
Perfect location
Francoise , the owner, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The location of the Riad is fantastic. The staff is helpful. The place is TERRIFIC.
Great location and wonderful staff
The staff spoke excellent English and did all possible to be sure that we enjoyed our stay in Marrakesh. We were a bit apprehensive about finding our way in the Medina and how to "bargain" . Our hosts walked us into the Medina, pointing out landmarks for our return, and gave us tips on bargaining and restaurants. This was a great start for us to experience this wonderful culture. Our room was clean, classy and very Moroccan. The traditional breakfast was served on the roof top patio and the evening wine was accompanied with a dish of olives. All very enjoyable.
Fantastic honeymoon
Its all been said before, this is a great RIad with the friendliest owners and staff. We had a great 4 night honeymoon and everything was spot on. Can't rate it highly enough.
Lovely riad, perfect for a luxury romantic getaway
Excellent experience...easily the best place we've ever stayed. Francoise, Bernard and their staff have created an incredible little bubble of tranquility and luxury in the centre of Marrakech. The rooms and communal spaces are absolutely beautiful, with a plunge pool perfect for hot afternoons and a terrace on the roof that is excellent for breakfast or a few quiet evening drinks. We had a Moroccan breakfast every morning, with fresh orange juice, coffee, pancakes, yoghurt, jams, cake and bread. We also had a three course meal one night (which we highly recommend to everyone staying) cooked by one of the girls. Would definitely return.
Stay at this Riad
Riad Argan is wonderful. Perfectly located, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are great, and the feel of the place is wonderful. It's very close to the Djemma el-fna, so you'll probably want to schedule the airport transfer so you can actually find the place. Marrakech, at least the medina, is a bit overwhelming to the first time visitor. But, the Hotel owner will meet you where the taxi drops you and guide you to the riad. If you are looking to be close to the old town/medina section of Marrakech, this is a wonderful home base.
Peace and tranquility in a frenetic city
Very enjoyable. Francoise and her staff do everything possible to make the stay the best which even includes giving sound advice about buying goods in the souks. The food is plentiful and delicious. Riad Argan is an oasis in a city of humdrum.
The Best Accommodation of My Life
My girlfriend and I stayed at Riad Argan on a long weekend trip to Marrakech in early April, 2012, and I can easily say it was the best place I've ever stayed at. The hosts Bernard and Francoise along with staff member Sala were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging our transfers and also helping us to book tours and giving us tips for haggling. The other staff members (the girls) made our room look immaculate each day that we went out. And the rooms are amazing and traditional as you can see in photos. The staff offered us mint tea each day (which we chose to have on the roof terrace under the stars) and Sala prepared an amazing Moroccan breakfast for us each morning, with juice, mint tea, fresh yogurt and different types of Moroccan breads, muffins and jams. We also chose to pay the 20 Euro each for the dinner at the riad, and it was one of the best decisions we made on our holiday. After we expected it to consist of a main meal and perhaps a starter, Sala prepared an amazing FIVE course meal consisting entirely of traditional Moroccan cuisine which was better and cheaper than anything we could find in the restaurants in the city. The location is also perfect, with the riad being nestled discretely in a side alley in the medina five minutes walk from the famous main square Djemaa el Fna. If you're planning a trip to Marrakech and want the real Moroccan experience, you must stay at Riad Argan - and you MUST try the riad dinner one night.
Excellent Riad
An excellent Riad in an ideal location. Françoise and Bernard provided very useful advice during our stay and the staff were always happy to accommodate any requests. Can highly recommend the Riad for a visit to Marrakech.
Amazing service
Absolutely fantastic! Francoise was lovely and so helpful. Perfectly positioned to look round the Medina, will definitely go back.

Nice stay
Nice Riad, in a convenient location in Médina to restaurants and not too far from a drop off point that you have to drag your bags a long ways. The staff was friendly and hot tea awaited our arrival. We had to leave early so missed the breakfast, but they provided us with a to go bag. Very nice !
