Fantastic riad in a great location. Asad and Abdul were very friendly and helpful.
The staff were amazing and super friendly, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable! I would highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking to stay in Marrakesh!
Highly recommend, although only a few minutes walk from the spice market, the main square and the myriad of the souks, the Riad is quiet and tranquil. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for the brilliantly knowledgable Abdul, we loved our chats and all of the insights he shared with us. Asad (the owner) made us feel immediately at home in this very traditional Riad, with suggestions of places to eat and to explore. Both Asad and Abdel were available on WhatsApp throughout our stay should we have needed them. If you are looking for a real Riad experience, where you feel part of the family, traditional Moroccan breakfasts from the ladies at the Riad who ensured we were well fed and kept everywhere clean and tidy, to the sights and smells in the markets with a calm home to come back to then this is for you. Thank you Al Mamoune team for an amazing experience. Craig and Manda
As a solo traveler I appreciated the hospitality extended to me by Asad who was in communication with me before I even got to Morocco, insuring that all questions were answered. Once there, he was very helpful and provided so much information to help me maneuver and get the most out of my visit to Marrakech. Thanks again also to Abdul who was so very helpful as well. I highly recommend this riad for its convenient access to the medina and Jemaa el-Fnaa and all other points of interest.
What can I say about this Riad that hasn't already been said! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and the service and hospitality was absolutely incredible, we arrived late at night and were greeted by Abdul in the main square to walk us back to the Riad, Asad then welcomed us into the Riad and prepared a 3 course meal for us, which we had already requested, the communication with Asad prior to arriving was excellent. Anything we needed Asad and Abdul were on hand to accommodate us, whether it was tips on how to haggle, where and what to do, restaurant recommendations etc we felt so at home in the Riad. Special word about Abdul - nothing was too much to ask for and he went over and beyond to look after us, a really great guy. Keep up the good work Asad! If you're looking for a traditional Riad in the heart of the Medina then you can't look past staying here! Can't wait to come back.
Amazing stay in Riad Al Mamoune. A warm welcome with tea early in the morning. It truly felt like a safe home under the care of Abdul. We had to leave early in the morning a few times and he made sure we had an early breakfast ready for us. Abdul even helped us find some great souvenirs in the souks at affordable prizes. The location is perfect, and Abdul made sure on our first day to direct us so we wouldn’t get lost. We loved our room. It was beautiful and spacious, though be ready for the light to be dimmed. 5/5, would go again!
Character and Charm
I had a great stay at the Riad. It is absolutely beautiful with tremendous character. The staff was really great. I received fantastic customer service after my misunderstanding the booking rules. I would not recommend staying out very late. The Riad is tucked away inside the Souk and the walk is dark, deserted and ominous very late at night. I felt safe however walking to the Riad during the day while there is lots of activity in the Souk.
Truly wonderful experience! The most customer oriented property I’ve ever stayed at. We were made to feel like family immediately. The location is exactly what we were looking for at a traditional riad in the central city deep into the markets and souks. Asad and Abdul are remarkable hosts, the rooms are quite comfortable, the architecture is spectacular, and we were well cared for. I hope to be able to return and would absolutely stay here again!
Amazing staff and great location- perfect Riad
Thanks Asad and the team. We really enjoyed our stay in your Riad, which is authentic and very clean with good facilities. We really liked the roof top for breakfast, and we found the staff to all be very friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble! 10/10 and would stay again!
This may be the best place to stay in Marrakesh. It is in the heart of the Medina. A traditional building that is very welcoming. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make your stay hassle free. They arrange a pickup and drop off to and from the airport (at a very reasonable cost), and help you plan your activities (if you want). Good breakfast (included). The Riad takes you back hundreds of years.
5 night stay
Fantastic authentic riad to stay. All staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Its ideally located right in the heart of the midena. The roof top is a nice tranquil place to chill. Abdul and Asad, look after you. Worth doing the cooking and dining experience with them rather than elsewhere. They will arrange any trips and taxis transfers for you. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great location
Unbeatable location in the Souk right by the Spice Market and 5 minute walk from the main square at Keema El Fnaa. Owner Asad is friendly and very helpful with advice and bookings. Nice breakfast daily, even when needing to leave early.
Very nice, quiet Riad by the Spice Market minutes from the hustle and bustle. Asad and Abdul are fantastic hosts, always at your disposal and ready to assist in any way. Highly recommended.
I cannot say enough good things about Riad Al Mamoune! Asad and Abdul took such good care of us. They will organize transportation and excursions for you. We were not familiar with Marrakech and they made us feel very comfortable. Abdul met us at the car on our arrival to walk us through the medina to the riad and Asad walked us to our car to go back to the airport. The breakfast was incredible! The decor was stunning. We were REALLY well taken care of. WHEN we go back to Morocco we will be staying here!
This was the best place to stay in Marrakech. The general manager personally picked me up when I arrived in the medina. Before showing me the route to the riad, he pointed out places where I could use the ATM, restaurants, etc. He showed me how easy it was to navigate your way back to the riad through the medina which was incredibly helpful. Inside the riad was stunning. There courtyard area and pool was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to help me with anything (including helping me find affordable souvenirs). Everyone treated me with respect and kindness. The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff was very attentive. The room itself was stunning. It was very clean and comfortable. I recommend this riad to anyone wanting to stay in the medina. The staff truly go above and beyond for you and you feel very safe and comfortable.
Asad and Abdul went ABOVE and BEYOND in accomodating us. They are very welcoming, friendly and gave us tips to navigate Always there to help. Breakfast was good. Location is walkable to attractions,, shopping, reataurants and beautiful gardens. The whole team of AL Riad Mamoune was AWESOME. We highly recommend this place.
Great location and great staff.
Great location and amazing staff. They took great care of use and were incredibly helpful! Right in the middle of the medina, access to everything easily.
Riad Al Mamoune is in a great location inside the souk and very near to Jemaa el Fna. Assad and Abdul were excellent hosts and the breakfast was excellent everyday.
Great unique hotel in the middle of the souk. The decoration inside was very authentic and the room was very comfortable. Nice breakfast in the main courtyard or on the terrace. Asad was in contact with directions and advice for getting to the hotel and negotiating the locals in the market. I was very happy with my stay at the hotel and if I am lucky enough to go back to Morocco i will stay again.
I would give the property a 3.5 out of 5. Pretty but a little odd. The owner was always present that’s always a good thing. There is another person helping guests and he was wonderful until he asked for money for his services. I’m not sure about how people feel about that but to me it’s not something you ask for
From the day I arrived to the day I left, Asad and Abdul made me feel like I am part of their family rather than a guest. And that made my trip more memorable more than anything else. Location was great. You are basically in the middle of the of Medina yet still have the quietness and privacy that is needed after a full day of market and tours. I hope to go back to Marrakech and will definitely stay here again!!
Calm and Comfort in Marrakesh
We loved this Riad as it was comfortable and quiet with wonderful hosts. Each morning we enjoyed a wonderful Moroccan breakfast, which we chose to eat on the lovely rooftop terrace. The entire staff was extremely helpful and made our stay a real joy. We highly recommend this Riad if you are planning to stay in the Medina.
While in Marrakech you want the authentic feel by staying in a Riad. This is clean, cozy and the staff is fantastic. Asad gave us highlights of Morocco and what to see and Abdul went out of his way multiple times (getting up early to make breakfast, walking us to tour meeting etc). The only thing is the location is deep in the shopping area so it’s crowded getting there but the Riad is on a quiet street.
Fabulous little Riad in the heart of Medina
Fabulous little Riad, in the middle of Medina. Asad and his family were so attentive, arranging a taxi and then walking us through the Souk to find the accommodation. Breakfast was delicious and more than you could eat!
Excellent staff all are good but I will give especial credit to Hamza for the hospitality he was always there to answer questions and help thanks 🙏
Excellent mgmt and staff at the riad. Felt like staying at a comfortable home with your own private room.
Great! Everything was wonderful, and the a Riad was nice and clean, really close to everything, in the center of the action. The manager and his team are simply the Best! They are there to make your stay confortable, they will help you with anything, always welling to go a mile for you. I stay during the pandemic and i am so glad i stay there, because they help me every day and make me feel like family. I can’t wait to come back to Marrakesh and stay here again! I travel a lot and i am telling you, the Riad service is excellent!
The stuff hospitality was awesome. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
Lovely riad located in the heart of the Medina near the spice market. Asad and his team were fantastic. Great communication before we arrived, they arranged pick up from the airport and walked us through the main square for check in. The riad itself is beautiful and also feels very cozy, with unique rooms and a nice sized roof terrace. Food was lovely, especially breakfast (probably our favorite meals of the entire trip)! They also gave great recommendations for navigating Marrakech, including interesting food recs and tips for buying things and negotiating taxi fares. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for an authentic riad experience.
Mst stay!
This was probably one of my best stays in my long travelling life. (I have been to 40 countries and several multiple times). The riad was beautiful and the room was great, but the hosts went over and beyond what was necessary. When I was travel weary and didn't want to go out to dinner, they went out and got it for me! Amazing! (You can order a great dinner here, but I was too late telling them) Breakfasts were so yummy! They booked a tour for me and I didn't have to lift a finger. Plus, it was in the medina and right next to all the action, but on a super quiet street. If I come to Marrakech again, I am staying here!
Centrally located gem
Riad Al Mamoune is a very pretty Riad tucked away in the middle of Marrakech's markets. While its a bit of a trek in with your luggage the staff were incredibly helpful in arranging taxis and help. It is ideally located for shopping in Marrakech
A home-away-from-home
Everything during my stay at Riad Al Mamoune was great! Very friendly and helpful staff, quiet during nights, comfy bed, superb breakfasts on the rooftop sitting area and an overall home-away-from-home feel. Also as central as I could wish for, with walking distance to most sights. On future visits to Marrakesh, it's very likely that I will stay at Al Mamoune again.
Authentic and high quality service!
From being met at the taxi drop off to when we left the premises the employees couldn’t have been more helpful. A different tweak to breakfast every day and a great place to fall in to bed after the hustle and bustle of the souk and the city. Great place for an authentic stay.
A truly hospitable place. Very welcoming and extremely helpful staff. Would definitely return and highly recommended. Location was very good too, Stone throw away from the souk and Square and walking distance to other attractions.
great location, very welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Peaceful and safe.
The room was basic. It fronted the interior courtyard so you heard other people's conversations. Despite of it being centrally located in the medina, the premises were quiet. The staff was very helpful and informative.
Best Riad
Very clean and nice designed, professional and helpful staff and good breakfast! we stayed in 4 Riads while we were in Marrakech and I could say this is the best Riad in the area.
Great staff and nice rooms.
Great staff. Nice rooms. A little pricey but good overall quality!
I must complement the staff above all else. Azad the manager texted me a day earlier to confirm my checkin with a diagram finding the Riad. It was comforting knowing my room was secured and my arrival expected around the stipulated time. GoogleMap WAS LIFESAVING and extremely useful to find any directions in the puzzling Souk! My arrival was greeted by Anas, in my years of traveling around the world, I had never met a staff who was so dedicated, polite, professional and helpful, I saw in him a great asset to any establishment. His proficient English and French were remarkable. Abdul was equally great in making my stay “like home”. Housekeeping and breakfast were excellent I looked forward every morning enjoying my meals on the cool breezy terrace rooftop. The Riad itself was beautiful and serene. It was peaceful and guests were wonderfully hushed in keeping with the calm ambience. Chirping of birds and the household cat were an unexpected welcome. Cute. Location was excellent about 10-15 min through labyrinth of maze (thank goodness for GoogleMap) to get to JemaaElFna, shops, restaurants and the cafes. The only aspect that could be better was bathroom in my room, it could use a minor touch up to prevent shower from wetting the whole bathroom. Maybe a bigger and more prominent signage outside the Riad entrance would ease travelers finding it. Having said that, I highly recommend this Riad, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and grateful to the excellent staff.
Great location, staff, and breakfast!
We loved our stay at the Riad Al Mamoune. The location is fantastic, you are right in the thick of things, but tucked away just enough that it is quiet, off a merchant alley connected to the Jemaa el-Fnaa medina. The staff is very outgoing and friendly. Our host met us at the driver drop-off point across the medina and walked us to the Riad, giving us some info about the markets along the way. Once there we were greeted with warm mint tea, and given an overview of the area with the help of a map. The area can get very confusing to navigate with all the streets and alleys, this was very helpful for us to orientate ourselves and our walks. He recommended some great non-tourist trap places to shop and eat as well. The breakfast we delicious, fresh, cute, and a little different each day, served on a lovely rooftop. We highly recommend this place, and would definitly stay again.
Great kindness and great location.
Houcine was so kind to us from the moment he met us outside the Medina to guide us to the hotel to the following week when he met us at another hotel to bring the bag we had left with him after we had an accident and couldn't travel. The Riad itself was beautiful, especially breakfast on the roof and the tiled courtyard, and it's location on the outer edge of the Medina and right near great restaurants was fantastic. Everything was clean, organized and comfortable. I highly recommend for a great Marrakesh experience!
Great stay! Nice room. Location and breakfast is great.
Our stay at the riad was great. Definitely setup a taxi from the airport with the riad before you go. We made the mistake of negiotiating a local taxi for 50-80 dirham and trying to navigate through the medina on our own with our suitcases. Hosscine was a great host and gave us many great tips and suggestions of places to see and things to do. The road is pretty central to the souks, Ben Youssef, and the Place Jemaa el Fna. The wifi was weak but it was okay since we weren't in the riad much. The fresh breakfast was great! Breads, jam, fresh juice, and coffee. We felt safe too. Even when we came back late at night, Hosscine was always alert to see who was entering. We would recommend others to stay here while in Marrakech!
Lovely quiet riad, tucked away but by the souks
I received a fabulous warm welcome from Abdo and the team, being told on arrival that I was to treat this as my home whilst in Marrakech. The riad is in a great central position in the heart of the Medina, hidden away yet very close to the Souks, Jemaa el fna and all the main sights. I was met by Abdo where my airport transport dropped me off who led me to the hotel and patiently made sure I could find my way back and forth from the main square! The breakfast was wonderful each morning and my room was very comfortable.
helpful hosts
i booked the hotel transfer from the airport and we were met at in the main square by the charming gentleman who runs the hotel, when you first walk there, ( it is through the souk) you are afraid you will be lost , but actually it is just around two corners, on arrival over a glass of mint tea you get a map, and a lots of helpful tips for enjoying your time in marrakech, its a romantic place to stay, lovely old riad, also the breakfast is very nice, i went in the winter when it was cold and rainy but my room and bed were cosy and warm. i thought it was excellent value and much better than staying in a modern hotel in the new town
Amazing hotel... Location is amazing!
Just a quick reminder that a taxi can not drive u to the front door...
Riad in the most superbly authentic location.
This Riad can only be found with the guide provided by the hotel. Think Arabian nights (not Knights) in a labrynth next to the most must do souk and square on the planet. Great staff. GREAT WELCOME. Superb.
Charming hotel with great staff.
The hotel is difficult to locate however the hotel staff was kind enough to come meet us to bring us to the hotel. The hotel is very charming with a nice terrasse. I would difficult go back.
Hidden in the Souk but worth finding.
You'll need to pay some boys to find this Riad. V friendly English-speaking manager. Rooms in Moroccan Riad style so charming, clean and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast. V helpful in giving guidance and directions. I'd stay there again.

A beautiful property in the heart of the Souk. The most excellent staff, Abdul and Asad were super helpful and ensured our stay was excellent. Highly recommended!
