Good location
Highly recommended. Very convenient location. Will return.
The location for this property was excellent with only minutes to the red light district. The room is average with a comfortable bed and roomy space.
Great location. Room was small but fine. Only probably was the bathroom smelled like urine or sewage or something the entire time. Kept the bathroom door closed when not using it and it was fine.
Was ok for last minute reservations
Over all very good. A bit dated. We had a fab stay
Staff were always friendly and assisted the times we needed something. Property is conveniently located close to a lot of shopping, dining and main areas. Close to the main train station as well. Would stay again!
Excellent location, so many dining options within walking distance. Shopping is also very nearby. There's public transportation within short walking distance as well. The property is older but clean. The mattress and the pillows are on the firmer side. My AC did not work but I wonder if it's because it's winter, it did get too hot at one point I had to leave the window open. It could get loud at times, you could hear everything above you and in the hallways. I'd still come back and maybe I'll just pack me some earplugs!
It is a very tired hotel. Shower took ages to get to optimum temperature, our room was shabby- holes in curtains, radiator wouldnt turn off, poor lighting, extremely noisy- could do eith soundproofing
LOCATION is the BEST! but parking must be free for hotel guests.
No tea pot or coffee maker in the rooms super expensive parking 50 EUR per night! overall was not happy with the experience
It was clean and excellent location, staff was very nice, nice breakfast. Very outdated, bare minimum light in the room and very old bathroom
Great location
Love the hot water and water pressure .
Good location
Excellent central location, they kindly let us to our room early to store our luggage
Closento everything
Not impressed
No drainage, the whole bathroom including your clothes get soaked while having a shower.
Good location
Noodles on reception
Was nice, nice staff lift was broken tho but made my noodle on the reception desk. Very nice
Fun. Very small rooms. Great service overall.
The stay was great! Got exactly what I paid for.
An older property but everything was perfect and an excellent value.
As advertised, felt safe.
LOVED. Was perfect
Great location wonderful staff
Hotel is pretty run down- for the money being spent they should update
Overpriced. Expedia made a mistake and gave us a room for 2 when we asked for a room for 3. Impossible to contact Expedia. I don't have a PayPal acct and they require it to get help. Won't be using them again if I can help it.
Great Central location in the heart of Amsterdam.
It was nice but
The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect, in the center of it all. One downside was the bathroom. Our toliet button got stuck and was constantly draining. We were able to fix it ourselves but it kept getting stuck. Other then that, it was very nice.
Stayed five nights. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast. Second time staying at this hotel. It's close to everything and easy to get around walking. Near Damm Square and red light district
It was central, fair price, nice staff, good rooms
the beds in the room were small and not good, noise from the next rooms and the corridor
Right on Dam Square, not fancy, but excellent value for location. Small single room perfect for lone traveller Clean, well kept, cool lobby from an earlier era
Good location!
Great location to explore Amsterdam from
Amazing location right on Dam Square, excellent base for exploring Amsterdam and directly opposite the Palace, only 10 min walk from train station. Reception service was good, no tea or coffee available in our room but there was a very nice coffee machine in reception. Room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Good location!
Good value good location
This place will def be one of my favorite spots. It’s right in the main square in the middle of the city. We had Ana amazing time. Very clean and the staff was amazing…
Dusty fans
A bit dusty and no AC in the room. When we utilized the fan a bunch of dust flew off. This was upsetting but not the end of the world.
This is not a luxury hotel, the rooms are old. At almost 430 euros a night it is overpriced. Bathroom and room was clean and ok. Shower has close to zero water pressure. Main window was old and drafty. No protection from cold air or noise from the street. Our comfort double room 322 was just a regular double. Very nice reception area & staff.
The room was kind of nasty. There were huge carpet stains as well as a large red blotch on the upper wall- hope it wasn't blood! The bathroom was fine. Beds ok at best.
Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms. Fantastic location, everything is easily walkable.
It’s outdated, the WiFi never worked in the room and there’s no air conditioning. There was a fan provided but it was small so it didn’t really cool the room too much. It’s in a great location, so it’s given that it will be noisy. The walls are thin and even with the windows closed, you can still hear that people talking outside passing by the hotel.
The staff was wonderful. The location was great. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again
Good sized room for 3 Property is along a street whereby it’s walkable to everywhere! Tram is reasonably near. A lot of food options nearby. Good selection of breakfast. In short, I’m happy to have chosen this place!
We’ll be back!
Absolutely brilliant stay at the Rho hotel and we’ve all said we’d go back. The location is perfect, so easy to get the train from the airport and an easy walk to every attraction. The rooms were clean, beds really comfy and great air con! The staff were lovely, we couldn’t speak highly enough about them. Warm, friendly and so helpful with great restaurant tips!
Walkable to Centraal station and option for the tram which is a 10 minute walk. The area is close to everything.
Thank
This is a very good value in a great location.
Rho Hotel Rocks
Step outside the hotel into Palace square. Plenty of attractions and restaurants close by and the reception staff were friendly and helpful
Very good hotel in the center of the city price was also reasonable
OLD & DIRTY
Choose somewhere else if you can. Will never go back. My room was cramped and small, had dirty stained carpets, dirt on the walls, the shower wasn’t clean and had hair and mold. And walls are paper thin! I arrived at the hotel jet lagged, exhausted, and with 2 sprained ankles from a fall just prior. I was put in a room with a far walk from the elevator despite them knowing my condition. When I saw the status of my room I tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room didn’t work. The walls are so thin I could hear everything from the rooms on both sides of me… people’s conversations, tvs, and their intimate moments. It was very uncomfortable and I barely got sleep. Ended up leaving to a friend’s hotel to rest and checked out early because I couldn’t handle another night there. They said it was too late to get any money back.
Comfortable & spacious room, very helpful and cheery staff
The hotel didnt look like much from the outside but when you walk unto the lobby, it has a lot of old world charm. Room was ok. Breakfast buffet was expansive. Overall, certainly great for the price
Perfect location
Very nice older hotel in a wonderfully central location in the old city. Every place we wanted to experience was completely walkable. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Our family stayed in two rooms at this hotel, and both were horrible. The main lights in both rooms did not work, so the rooms were extremely dark. Despite the receptionist’s promise to have this fixed - it was never fixed during our 3-night stay. The rooms were also very noisy - you could hear every talk, step or toilet flush in adjacent rooms, and whenever another door in the corridor was shut - our door banged as well. The room had no air condition, the wifi signal was unstable, and the mattress - very soft and uncomfortable. Room amenities were very basic and the bathroom felt old and outdated. The staff at the hotel were not very pleasant to deal with. They always seemed gloomy and lacking any motivation to help. Also be aware that checkout time is quite early (11AM), and late checkout is only available for a 40€ extra fee.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was fine and the location was very close to Dam Square and an easy walk from train station
Dans le chambre il y avait pas de clim et il faisait trop chaud.Tout l'hôtel doit reconstruire parce que l'hôtel est trop ancien pour accueillir les gens mais l'endroit est parfait pour les touristes de la ville.
The hotel itself is quite dated and could do with a few upgrades to the rooms and there wasn't any complimentary water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. HOWEVER - although dated it was clean and everything in the room and the bathroom worked as it should. Wifi is free in the hotel (all areas) and it is well located right next to Dam square. The hotel was at the cheaper end of the range so you get what you pay for. having said all that the staff were friendly and I would definitely stay there again if visiting Amsterdam and would recommend it.
I liked the staff&service, I was there 2 weeks ago and I was looking for a charger the stuff was really helpful on that, thank you!
Nice place to rest after walking the city all day.
Best in DAM Square
Staff at the front desk were super helpful: I was able to check in early which was so nice after flying overnight to get here; they also had an adapter that worked for me as had forgotten mine at home; and they reserved a cab for me for next day! And breakfast is included with my stay…
Great location but room with old interior and pathetic noise insulation
Very nice hotel I love
Excellent Value/Location
EXCELLENT VALUE FOR $$$ Location Is #1 Bathroom outdated but clean Definitely would come back
Staff was great. No hassles. Rooms were clean and well kept. Building old but very welcoming .
Can’t wait to return!!
The staff are great very nice breakfast not great average, shower small but it's not bad
We felt welcomed & comfortable.
Will definitely stay here again if we return
Short trip
Great price and value on a great location. And with air conditioning!
Room was not clean at all, smelled bad and there were interesting substances on the wall. Front desk was understanding and changed my room.
Room was very small and run down, definitely needs a makeover. Staff were great. Location is fantastic
it's all about the Staff. and they were great.
Great location. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Very accommodating and efficient front desk. The place is a little quirky but I loved it, The Rho has a minor negative or 2 but the positives far outweigh them. Location can not be beat: I will definitely stay here whenever I return to Amsterdam. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Aside from our room they were great in helping me solve some issues with my Dutch sim card. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are clean and the location is good.
Hotel is in the middle of everything. Walking distance to Royal Palace and Dam Square. Mini-Fridge is not a refrigerator, staff came to look at it and said "it's a mini bar, it doesn't get colder." It kept soft drinks somewhat cold but not food items, so we didn't keep much in it. Luckily Dirk grocery store was a 5 min walk, so we bought items daily so we didn't have to refrigerate food. Tub has awkward big step to get into it. No non-skid mat, so you have to hold onto the lower pony wall. No shampoo provided, only body wash.
Good location but very basic hotel.
Hotel is nicely kept up with a perfect location! We had to ask for fans to have some cooler air in the room, in addition to opening the windows.
Ok
I was a bit surprised because I stayed here two years ago and the room was a bit tatty but this time I had a nice clean modernish room. The staff is always great and the location is superb. The only downside is the other guests which is certainly not the hotel’s fault. Hopefully Amsterdam can keep chasing away undesirable loud inconsiderate boorish visitors who ruin everyone’s experience in this otherwise lovely city.
Lobby great, breakfast great. Storage in the room, not so great but workable.
Right in the downtown area, with rail access quite close. Shops outside the front door and the staff were friendly.
Great location right in the heart of all the action
That is very nice
Our 1st European trip and we had to switch hotels and danggumit what a great spot. Close to everything, access to the train, simply delightful to do exaxtly what we needed Eat drink sleep repeat
The hotel was ok. The room was small and no a/c or ice anywhere. Luggage storage was nice and convenient. A bit of a walk from the train station, but definitely easily accessible to a lot of places in Amsterdam.
It’s a older property, walkabile
It conveniently located in the middle of shops, bars, restaurants. But the room doesn’t have a blow dryer, no air conditioner, has to go to the lobby to borrow the iron.
Awesome location for all things Amsterdam!
Location is great for Rho Hotel. Easy to walk to most places, close to Rokin Metro station.
Loved the location and staff
Unbeatable location! Close to train and trams, Central Station is within walking distance, next to Red Lights District. The hotel is a bit shabby looking, but the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also pretty good. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Rho is a Go
The Rho is an older property similar to hotels I have stayed at in New York. It seems well maintained. Spacious lobby. Breakfast is excellent. Room was big enough for no more than 2 people. Shower is open design without a door. Sufficient closet space. Bed was comfortable enough for one. Walking distance to Dam Square. Plenty of shops and food nearby. 10-15 walking to train station and canal rides. Had trouble figuring out how to open the window to ventilate the room. Could use some air conditioning in summer. Overall a good stay. Quiet despite proximity to street life.
Was comfortable and friendly.
This hotel is in a really good location. The air conditioning works great also the hot waters was amazing. The rooms needs an upgraded.
Our only complaint is that it was quite warm, and we had only a heavy comforter for cover. It would have been better to have provided a top sheet and light blanket. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I would recommend this hotel.
The perfect location!

I really liked the hotel , the location was fab but the rooms were very poorly lit .
