The employees of the front desk need to have more knowledge to guide better the tourist

Beautiful Hotel right on the beach. Air Con in first room did not work, they immediately tried to fix and after day 2 with still not Air con, they moved us to a different room.

Blocked drains that smell constantly on your balcony. Drilling at 6.55 am. Sea view rooms are not side view rooms. Hotel has no sea view rooms. Miwadi for breakfast replacing fresh juice. Food ok but disappointing choice apart from breakfast. V clean nice pool area, beach has a lovely view but dont try swimming with out protective shoes. 4 star premises. Could be better with attention to details. Cant blame the general staff they are v nice.

Lovely hotel and a great base to get to other areas of the island. We had a double room upgrade to a sea view which was nice

Great stay if you prefer outside the main town.

Generally, my stay was great—starting with my room (#400), which I highly recommend if you don’t mind having two single beds. The view is great (pool and ocean view). As always, there is one minor “problem” if we are picky. At one point I asked one if the younger server-helpers whether there was water available (because I asked after the breakfast buffet closed). Instead of going to check, he told me to go and check. The one server, Evaggelia, was fantastic!

Hotel was spotless and the staff were very friendly. Lovely location on the beach. Overall I couldn’t fault it.

Amazing food

Disappointing

Beach area did not match the photo it was rough and full of stones very difficult to actually get in the sea without hurting yourself, staff did not ask how our stay was and they charged us for an extra card for our room. The food was not 5 star standard looked like it was going stale. 3 star hotel at best.

Hello the personnelle. Needs more training not highly qualified for the treatment they provide They are nice persons polite etc But do not meet the expertise. The rooms should meet more spa standards Like the hotels presentations are very impressive

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent condition. The selection of food for breakfast was unbelievable, so many choices and very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved staying at the Rethymno Palace, it was outstanding in all ways. From the very pleasant and helpful staff, the beautiful landscape to the wonderful food. We will go back in 2020 for a month. We highly recommend the Rethymno Palace you will not be disappointed.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was wonderful! Room was clean although there was a slight sewage smell. Other than that everything was great!

Lovely stay

We didn't stay as an All Inclusive guest so found there were always queues for the beach bar. However the main barman in the evening was really friendly and made up for slower service in the day. The hotel was very nicely presented and our room was always clean and well kept. The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing as the hot food was luke warm and no watermelon or nuts. However overall we had a lovely time.

Nice Hotel and great staff. As soon as we came to the Rethymno Palace on June 21st Mrs. Stella Tsagaraki (Manager) has been very attentive to our Family and took care of us. She personally made sure that we are comfortable with the choice of the hotel and the suite. Many thanks to Mrs. Stella Tsagarakis and her staff members as well. Beridze Family. P.S. We had a wonderful time. Staff could not have been better. It was spolt by other guests banging doors really hard but thats not the hotels fault.

Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand - toller Pool. Angenehme Zimmer - groß und sauber. Der Service im Restaurant nicht immer freundlich. Essen landestypisch; Auswahl OK.Sehr freundlicher Service an der Rezeption.

Värt vartenda öre!!!

Mysigt hotell med fin utsikt (om man har utsikt mot poolen + havet som oss). Vi bokade All-inclusive vilket var mycket bra. Dem har varierande mat från lunch till middag dessutom inte samma samma lunch varje dag. Bra variation! Dem har sin egna Beach Bar/Taverna som är precis vid stranden/havet. Vi är i helhet extremt nöjda med detta boende. Värt vartenda öre!

Nach dem Wechsel in ein anderes 5*Hotel ist die Qualität des Rethymno Palace noch deutlicher geworden. Sehr schöne, saubere und gepflegte Anlage. Sehr strukturiert die Arbeitsweise des erfahrenen Personals. Nicht nur Aushilfen oder Schüler:innen beschäftigt, sondern auch motivierte ältere Mitarbeiter. Sicherheitspersonal vorhanden. Wir empfanden es als ruhiges Hotel. Zwei mal die Woche kretischer Abend. Wir empfehlen es auf jeden Fall.

Hotel war sehr gut, Räumlichkeiten waren sauber sowie ein schönes Zimmer . Der Transfer war nicht wie angegeben Inklusiv, mussten 120 Euro 1 weg Taxi bezahlen. Rezeption fühlte sich nicht verpflichtet aufzukommen für dieses Problem. Schade :(

For mye fokus på all inklusive gjester, om man ikke har det selv. Går litt utover service på steder hvor det ikke er all inklusive gjester. Kamp om solsenger både rundt basseng og på strand. Ikke nok solsenger. Rent og fine rom, men litt små. Fine bad.

Piscina e spiaggia comode. Ristorante con molte offerte e self service. Purtroppo le camere con richiesta di tre letti hanno un divano durissimo con lenzuolo appena appoggiato, improponibile.

Great place and value for money.

Hotel propre dans l ensemble mais equipements et decoration vieiillote. Coffre fort payant, climatisation vieille et longue au fonctionnement. Une seule par carte par chambre, petit dejeuner moyen. Prestation correcte mais n equivaut pas a celle d un 5 etoiles.

Kein 5-Sterne-Service

Wir haben ein Open Plan Sea View für 2 Personen gebucht und beim Check-in ein solches Zimmer in der obersten Etage bekommen. Es war etwa so groß wie bei der Buchung angegeben und hatte einen wunderschönen Meerblick. Allerdings war es bei Ankunft nicht klimatisiert und ca. 30 Grad heiß. Trotz Einschalten der Klimaanlage auf höchster Stufe und dem Versuch bei laufender Klimaanlage zu schlafen, wurde es nicht „kälter“ als 28 Grad. Nach einer schlaflosen Nacht baten wir um ein anderes Zimmer, z. Bsp. 1 Etage tiefer. Wir wurden aber mehrfach abgewiesen ober bekamen Zimmer einer schlechteren (bzw. günstigeren) Kategorie ohne finanziellen Ausgleich angeboten. Erst bei unserer 5. Beschwerde und nach 2 heißen Nächten bekamen wir 1 Zimmer 1 Etage tiefer, welches bereits offensichtlich mindestens 1 Tag frei war. Aber auch hier war die Klimaanlage offensichtlich zentral in ihrer Leistung gedrosselt und eine Kühlung unter ca. 26 Grad Raumtemperatur war selbst bei 24 Stunden eingeschalteter Klimaanlage nicht möglich. Bei unserer Buchung über Expedia hatten wir einen Late-check-out von 2 Stunden mitgebucht. Dieser wurde uns von der Rezeption verweigert und erst nachdem wir bei Expedia angerufen haben und diese mit dem Hotel telefoniert haben, wurde er uns gewährt. Fazit: Ein eigentlich schönes Hotel, aber unfreundliche und respektlose Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, bei denen man wie ein Bittsteller abgewimmelt wird, wenn man das möchte, wofür man beim Check-in bezahlt hat.

Très bel établissement soigné et confortable. Beaucoup d'espace ce qui permet de ne pas avoir l'impression que nous sommes collés aux autres. Le bémol : l'accès à la partie détente (massage, sauna) qui est payant et relativement coûteux au regard du reste.

La vue sur la mer, les chambres refaites sont des points positifs de l hôtel.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt schön das Essen ist abwechslungsreich und schmeckt gut. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Auf Grund von Covid 19 sind die Zimmer nur jeden zweiten Tag gereinigt worden, was uns erstaunt hat und kein Sinn macht. 5 Sterne sind nicht angebracht, gutes 4 Sterne kann man sagen. Am Pool wurde schon morgen früh die Liegen mit Badetücher besetzt! Sehr ärgerlich! Der Dress Code wurde überhaupt nicht eingehalten und auch nicht hingewiesen. yvonne und Claudio

Le pire des hotels. Demie pension ......ne prenez pas cest une blague, nous avons mange dehors tous les jours..... 1 seule clef de chambre pour 4...... Personnel de reception insolent et agressif...... Je fréquente les gotels 5 étoilés minimum 4 a 5 fois par an, celui ci est le premier hotel dont le staff de la reception est aussi irrespectueux et limite insultant, en appelenat la reception pour indiquer que le coffre ne fermait pas le réceptionnistes ma carement raccroché au nez, et a complètement nié lorseqie je suis descendu les voir, la responsable a dit quelle regarderai les enregistrements caméra mais biensure aucune nouvelle. Personnel de la bputique adorables ainsi que les 2 restaurants, mais lhotel est hyper mal géré, le menage na pas zte fait un jour et on nous simplement explique que la femme de menage aetait absente. le directeur n'est sorti nous parler qu'une fois il a pensé qu'il y avait un souci de paiement avec hotel.com et expedia mais ne sest jamais montre lorseque son réceptionniste ma raccroché au nez! Il ne la même pas mentionné. Vraiment dommage que ca soit limage de la grece que l'on a gardé, cest un pays qui a tellemebt besoin de tourisme, mais les gens comme le staff de cet hotel s'en fichent car ils ont un travail! Et ne pensent pas a ceux qui n'en ont pas. Cest clairement le pire des hotels 5 etoiles que jai vu de ma vie, fuyez .....

Resort mit direkter Strandlage.

Resorthotel am Kiesstrand, für Baden Wasserschuhe empfehlenswert. Sehr gute Büffets, die wirklich für jeden Geschmack etwas bieten. Insbesondere das Desert-Büffet ist herausragend. All-in Getränke von 10-23 Uhr. Nett wäre, wenn man bereits vor 10 Uhr eine Kaffeespezialität (Espresso etc.) haben könnte, da der Kaffee am Büffet der einzige Schwachpunkt dort ist. Personal immer sehr freundlich. Kleines Fitness-Studio mit 2 Laufbändern, Crosstrainer und Trimmrad, bei gutem Wetter sehr warm. Gesamte Anlage sehr gepflegt und sauber. Parkplatz kostenlos vorm Eingang. Während unseres Aufenthalts (keine volle Auslastung) genug Liegen und Schirme am Strand. Von unserem Zimmer (oberste Etage) spektakulärer Meerblick. Zimmerflure nicht klimatisiert und bei heißem Wetter war schlafen nur mit laufender AC im Zimmer möglich. Würden trotz der tollen Aussicht eher Zimmer in unterer (kühlerer) Etage empfehlen. Früh und / oder lange schlafen schwierig, da v.a. am Wochenende bis 1 Uhr nachts laute Musik auf Nachbargelände und morgens um 7:30 Uhr auf dem Flur schon laut staubgesaugt wird. Für empfindliche sind Ohrenstöpsel empfehlenswert. Ansonsten eine top Anlage!

Le Personnel de l'hôtel est très accueillant, souriant et serviable. Les chambres sont bien équipées et propres. L'emplacement central avec la piscine est bien agréable. Le seul bémol concerne le buffet qui n'est pas très varié et d'une qualité inférieure à ce que l'on attend d'un 5*

Bell’Hotel non lontano da Rethymno. Ottima la pulizia e gentilezza del personale. Bella spiaggia ma con presenza di scogli piatti sul fondale appena si entra in acqua. Ciò rende pericoloso fare il bagno in presenza di vento e mare mosso. ( unico neo della struttura!!) Da consigliare.

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig - ansonsten eine sehr schöne und gut gepflegte Anlage

Sehr saubere und gepflegte Anlage, in der das Personal alles für die Gäste gibt. Diesen Servicegedanken erlebt man nicht mehr so häufig in Hotels. Das gilt für alle öffentlichen Bereiche sowie für die Zimmer. Im Restaurant wurde uns das Essen nicht langweilig und innerhalb von zwei Wochen war für jeden etwas dabei. Glücklicherweise werden abends griechische Gerichte angeboten. Im Mai 2019 waren zu jederzeit freie Liegen am Strand und am Pool zu bekommen. Am Strand gibt es viele Steine, daher sind Wasserschuhe ratsam. Aufgrund der Lage würden wir einen Mietwagen empfehlen.

Practical hotel, but unpleasant staff

The hotel has very practical facilities but seems sometimes slightly outdated in the sense that lobby furniture is not the most modern. The hotel reminds me of the 90s. But overall, it is very well maintained and very clean. The staff overall is nice and welcoming but lacks customer attention. This might be a Greek cultural thing, but in many cases you can get surprised by a too direct harsh inflexible response. Sometimes it is shocking especially when you are on vacation... reminds me the first dinner where I was asked to wear pants. The funny thing is that I didn't have pants during my holiday. The staff didn't even want to give me an exception for 1 dinner until I buy a pair of pants. We were asked to go and have dinner outside... this wasn't even negotiable until I asked to get refunded and leave the hotel. This event, even if minor, shocked us all of how much unpleasant a touristic staff can be, for what seems to be a minor thing for us (this seems not to be the case for the hotel's policy). Anyway, overall we spent a great stay at the hotel and at the last night, the head of the waiters' staff offered us all the drinks at the dinner and amazing cocktails at the bar (we didn't have the all inclusive formula). This confirms the creta's people reputation being welcoming. We liked Creta a lot, and we might come back next year...

Dejligt hotel, men langt fra 5 stjerner.

Dejligt hotel med skøn pool, strand og beliggenhed. Personalet super søde og hjælpsomme. Dog undrer det mig meget at hotellet kan have 5 stjerner - det højeste man kan få. Værelserne var fine og i god størrelse, men bestemt IKKE 5 stjernet, nok mere 3. Lille bitte fladskærm, funtørre som i 80'erne (en kasse på væggen), tomt køleskab etc. Dog var maden/buffeten nok det der var mest kendetegnene for at hotellet mere burde være 3 stjernet - rent cafeteriamad - kedeligt og kun lunkent. Det samme HVER DAG til både frokost og aftensmad og ikke meget andet end det sædvanlige junk.
