This is a basic hotel that is well looked after and kept very clean. On top of that it is conveniently located for an early morning drive to the airport. I and my wife prefer a softer bed, but if you like a firm mattress this place is for you!

Awful experience the room was gross. My sons bed was stained yellow. Bed bug body's behind the bed. Then they will steal your deposit and lie to you about it. Worst experience even do not use.

I like the fact that though it's not in the centre of town, it's within walking distance. The Back Eddy Pub is nearby. Staff is friendly at the inn and there's a handy airport shuttle. There's simple breakfast options as well.

Average place to stay, limited breakfast items. Baseboard heating in the room, took a while to warm up. Appreciated the shuttle service to the airport.

Nice place

A great one night stay before heading to terrace airport. Perfect for families who don’t want to get to terrace very early in the morning and drive in winter conditions. Very friendly couple running this motel.

We were lucky to get a room because the confirmation from Expedia went in their junk mail and our room was not booked, eventhough we received email from Expedia confirming that room was booked. Fortunately we were able to get the last room.

Staff was very friendly. Also very helpful in getting my bage to my room as i could not. Would recommend a say anytime.

Interestingly reversed water taps in kitchenette. Good WiFi. Easy checkin and checkout. Friendly staff responsive to queriezs and complaints. We never used the complementary continental breakfasts.

older hotel thay has been updated. all was nice. breakfast a litttle "lite" but fine. espresso machine in breakfast area bot no real basic coffee, but use the pot in the room beforehand.

This is the fourth hotel we have stayed at in Terrace and the best one so far. They have done a good job at refurbishing the hotel. We will book here on our next trip.

There's no restaurant that I'm aware of, but there are several convenient places to get food and it's a simple walk to the downtown and not far from the local trails. The price was right and I still didn't feel like I had to worry about my car getting broken into. I'll probably stay here again I'm ever back in the area.

I frequently stay in hotels and motels. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in years. The walls are so thin, I was awakened from a deep sleep every night for 3 nights. I would call this motel the Unrest Inn! I arrived home today exhausted. The pictures are very misleading. There is no fresh fruit for example in the breakfast room. I stayed for 3 days and would not recommend this motel to anyone who is staying longer than one night. Ask for a room on the 3rd floor.

Suite was so quiet, I slept great!

Check in was easy, I was able to check in a few hours early, which was great. I was worried it would be loud, as it was a Friday night, but thankfully it was not. Cable left something to be desired and the WiFi cut out a few times, but nothing major.

The room was nice and clean,but the guest on top of us was very loud even worse when the staff did tell them to consider their issues.

I arrived very late in the middle of the night and called ahead to arrange key retrieval. Service was excellent!

Wonderful experience, the inn was awesome, the location was perfect, and the staff was so nice! I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Terrace.

Very clean rooms, gorgeous detailing in what looked like a freshly renovated well kept establishment. The lady at check in was very kind. Comes across as a higher end hotel at a very affordable rate.

The staff are very friendly, the location while being away from the downtown core has a couple of good restaurants within walking distance, the casino is within walking distance, and the hotel is quiet and clean with a comfortable bed

It had said in the online booking there was an airport shuttle but apparently not all the time. I had an early flight and it was not available

Good place to rest

This hotel was just right for its two-star rating—it was a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay with a good location. They could improve their service by providing a lobby for guests to wait in, as they are more on the edge of town. Also, there was no coffee available in the morning, and the breakfast was lacking in supplies. I trust they would fix this however, as the staff were very helpful and conscientious.

Nicely tucked away from the main downtown area and conveniently near enough for shopping and any town appointments. Pub and restaurant right next door offer great food and drinks.Bike and walking path right at your door step.Top notch for reasonable price!

Property was nice. Rooms are clean and nice. Check in was great. Lady at the desk was nice and helped with getting a cab however cleaning staff was TERRIBLE!!! housekeeping knocked on our door at 8am and woke us up to check to see if we were still in the room!! She knocked again at 9:45 to tell us checkout was at 11!! We went to a hotel to get a break from our kids and sleep in but obviously she was making sure this was NOT allowed at this motel! Cleaning was SO LOUD on the floor above us! We could hear furniture being dragged across the floor and housekeeping knocking on every door from 8am-10:30am (when we left). It is a nice facility but I WILL NOT be staying here again. Impossible to sleep!

Clean rooms. Great customer service. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the location isn't ideal, but this is a fine place to stay.

The interior is really well-renovated and I loved the room. If you arrive later than 11PM, there is a fair chance that you will have to wait outside for a bit since the staff and concierge would have turned-in for the night and you would have to wake them up by ringing the bell or calling on the phone

We stayed at the rest and for one night we'll travel in to Haida Gwaii. We stayed in a different hotel in Paris previously and were very disappointed. The rest in was very clean and the woman who met us was very friendly and seemed to care about the hotel. I would definitely stay there again

Good place and good people

The only hotel that does daily housekeeping at this time. The only negative was the parking lot was ice and sometimes was a challenge to drive and walk. The staff tried to do what they could but the contractor was sometimes late to clear. If I need to I would definitely stay there over many of the other hotels.

I enjoyed staying there.... there's a little pub right next door that has great food and the hotel is close to the main highway which is ideally located if you're on the road to the west or east.

It was quiet - did not like that the coffee pot took about an hour to make coffee and I asked for a kettle to boil water and was advised "sorry, no - they are for the rooms for a kitchenette only."

I did not like being mislead by the lady that told me that my Expedia booking was canceled when i booked in on a previous date. I paid for a room for nothing. I would have gave it to a homeless person if id known they were taking my money. Very dissatisfied with their customer service. Harsh lesson to find out you need to deal with Expedia with cancelations.

I’ve stayed here before, the property is clean, well managed, and it’s proximity to amenities is close, lots of parking, And very quiet.

The guy behind the desk said he canceled the room and I still got charged and I never even stayed there and they told me that they never charged but I had a charge on my account

Adaptations

In this time of covid , we understand why the breakfast room wasn't available. We are thankful that Radun(sp?) was able to help with plastic cutlery. Suggest a kitchen basket with suitable items(cutlery, paper plates, napkins, little butter and jams) upon request. Especially since they added toaster in the room. Roomed smelled so clean when we opened the door...I love that.

Overall had a very good stay! Had to ring a doorbell at the front in order to get anyone’s attention from the front desk. Beds are less than desirable, but would stay again.

Quiet, comfortable nights rest. The room was freezing when I arrived (heat was off). Continental breakfast was sparse with two cereal options and yoghurt.

First time stay

This was the first time I have stayed at the Rest Inn, but I would not hesitate to stay again. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfy. Little noisy from the street and vehicles, but that levelled off later in the evening. My complaints are; the light in the exercise room was burnt out, and I couldn't find anyone that morning to notify (office door was still locked at 7:30am), the morning breakfast was almost non-existant (cereal, bananas and frozen Eggo waffles anyone?), and in the exercise room, it sure would be nice to have a place to hang your jacket, put your outdoor shoes and bag, and have a few more weights (5lb would be nice, as they only had one set of 25lb) to use when you just want a lighter lift. Some disinfectant wipes would be handy as well, so you can wipe things down before/after. I know this is minor stuff, but would make the stay a little better, and offer the guests a bit more convenience.

Nice place to stay but heavily perfumed.

The room was neat sandlot had lots of space. My only real concern was that upon stepping in the cleaning solutions that are used by the hotel were overwhelmingly scented. Well I am not personally allergic it took a great deal of time with the window open to air it out.

Great place but poor noise control

I really liked most things about this motel. Service is amazing! People are great and it is very clean and well maintained. However, the motel was not full and all guests were clustered together in the same part of the motel. Even though people were reasonably quiet and respectful, it is very noisy. You hear every footstep and people do come and go at all times of day and night. It is quite unsuitable for me as I go to bed at 7:00 pm and get up to go to work at 2:30 am. EVERYTHING is good but for noise and guest separation.

Stay is always great BUT...

I stay here usually multiple times throughout the summers while in the area fishing... The past 3 stays, someone tried to get into our room at 8am. You guys should try to ensure people are checked out prior to barging in their rooms... thankfully the chain is always across the door when we are in the room. Maybe revamp how your staff checks on rooms where people have departed, especially when check out times are late mornings..

It was awesome. They got me into a lower level room which I like. And there is a comfortable pub right next door so once I was out of my car after a long drive I got to relax.
