Beautiful view great location, beautiful room

This resort is so beautiful. Since we got there the customer service was amazing. The resort was very accommodating to all our necessities from spa, dining, transportation and accessibility to near by attractions. I would love to come back and visit. Highly recommended

Resort La Ginabelle blew me away in a variety of ways! The staff was incredibly present, attentive, and kind. Our surprise upgrade on arrival to a suite with a view of the Matterhorn was spectacular. The breakfast buffet rivals that of a number of globally renowned five star hotels. And, of course, the spa (after a day of hiking) is the cherry on top. I can't recommend this hotel enough, especially with the exceptional service that helped us catch our train 7 minutes after checking out. If you're in Zermatt, don't want to stay on the shopping street, and want an amazing accommodation, Resort La Ginabelle should be a top choice.

First consideration if ever traveling to Zermatt again! Staff, facilities, property 10/10

It’s an awesome property. Their staff is also welcoming and helpful. I loved their breakfast as they had many options for vegetarians as well. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Zermatt.

The best breakfast in all my European travels. The spa and heated pools were fantastic. Friendly and very helpful staff. Easy 10 minute walk to the town center. Clean and comfortable room. Loved the bathroom. Overall very satisfactory experience.

Most amazing property with great food and spa/pool. Perfect for adults and families. This is our 3rd time h we look at other properties but we always come back! Beat staff and great environment. Recommend 5 stars!

Wonderful stay & well maintained hotel, incredible spa. Few things for improvement: should be 4 pillows for king size by default (we had to ask for more, as had only two), a bit disappointed with 2 duvets for a king size bed, where it’s normally just 1. Rather than that,- incredible stay! Thank you

Great place for families - even don’t think about any other place. Amazing spa amenities and kids room. All people are friendly and the atmosphere is very positive.

I would absolutly recommend this property to anyone looking to blown away by an exceptional resort. We went to plenty of bars around Zermatt, and the best creative cocktails to be had are at La Ginabelle.

Amazing property, would definitely stay here again. We had a 2 bed 2 bath apartment which was perfect for our family of 4. Close to the lift and shopping and dinning options.

All the staffs are very friendly. I had been contacting the hotel due to potentially late check in caused by flight cancellation and delays. They gave me options for late check in if I arrived after 11pm. Sarina and her colleagues monitored my status and arranged a taxi pickup from the train station. The room was clean and nice with a balcony. The breakfast buffet was delicious and provided enough variety. This hotel is only a few minutes walk to sunnega. Very convenient location.

High end wonderful property, mixture of old world charm and modern amenities! Location cannot be beat, close to shopping streets, ski areas, trains and buses for travel and ski. All in a beautiful area by river, the sounds very tranquil. staff very personable and helpful. The pools and spa area outstanding, truly luxurious. Only place in town I believe with pools outside, gorgeous. And our room had view of Matterhorn, what a treat! Saw the sun glow on top 3 mornings, so blessed! Our family of 5 loved it! Ski room also heated your boots at night! Amazing stay! Would love to return. Oh and before I forget, an incredible breakfast! Make your own juice room, live cooking, fresh honey you take from the comb, outstanding quality! And Prosecco 😉

Great resort super friendly staff. We stayed there for a ski holiday. 5 minute walk to the Sunnegga funicular and right across the street from the blue shuttle to get to the other lifts. The breakfast was great and our family enjoyed the Spa facilities after our days of skiing. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great place to stay! We were here for our honeymoon and it was 10/10. The continental breakfast was very convenient and the restaurant staff were very friendly. The pools and saunas were a great way to relax after days exploring the area.

This entire stay exceed my expectations. The pool / jacuzzi was my absolute favorite. It was great way to relax after the long hikes! My one and only suggestion is to add fans / ceiling fans to rooms during summer. It’s just too hot this day in age to not have any way to cool the room. As far as everything else, pool, room, views, food, shower , was spectacular. Would love to return one day

The service was excellent and the amenities were the best we’ve had - beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. It as lol felt luxurious.

Could not have been nicer to us in every way. We got stuck in Zermatt for an extra night thanks to a train accident and we were able to stay in the same room we had before. Highly recommend La Ginabelle.

The pool is spectacular, but our room was next to the sidewalk and people could see in the room unless we closed everything up. The desk manager said he would move us the next day, but nothing. Overpriced plus tacked on added fees on departure!

Very nice and clean room. Good location, within easy walking distance from train station, restaurants and other attractions.

The rooms are lovely and spacious. Great views of the Matterhorn. Connecting rooms with two kings were great. Lovely sitting areas and balcony. We loved the breakfast (included) and the pools are so neat. Had dinner two out of the three nights at the hotel. Fondue was one of the dinners. We would go back in a second.

We loved the facilities at the Ginabelle. The pool and hot tub were state of the art and there is a relaxing lounge area with a fireplace where you can read a book and chill out. The breakfast is delicious with endless choices and options. You can even make your own custom juice. The rooms are immaculate and recently renovated. It's also convenient to walk to the Sunegga lift, the Gornergrat train and the bus for Furi is right across the street.

Nice newer facility. Most rooms that don’t face the Matterhorn instead have views of the mountains surrounding Zermatt. The breakfast buffet is large and excellent. Dinners there are good as well. Reservations are needed. There are large “hot tubs” with jets on two different levels.

Nice room, 5 star restaurant and friendly staff. Had good moments at the bar and heated swimming pool and sauna (and it was snowing outside). Not far away from the center, walkable distance (5min).

So so happy with my stay at Ginabelle. The service was impeccable and the staff was very kind and welcoming. The location is great for everything one wants to do in Zermatt. I will be back again!!

A great place to stay

I’ve been to Zermatt 5 times and this is by far my favorite place to stay. It has a wonderful spa, 5 star turn down service and beautiful views.

Why does the pool close at 8pm? Mattress is old. Room is tiny.

Great experience !!!! Could not have been more pleased with this hotel. Even with some construction still going on, the hotel was very quiet and at the pool where the construction is still underway the workers were pleasant and friendly. Put my back out with luggage and the spa staff got me going so I could enjoy my trip which I did. Thanks again to the masseur I had. The location of the hotel was close to everything with the best view of the Matterhorn was a 3 minute walk to catch the ride up to the top. The hotel went above our expectations with their food. Breakfast what ever you can imagine. Omelette all the way was my choice. The chef cooked it perfectly every morning. Fresh juices, baked items fresh every morning. We also ate fondue here and it was the best we had in Zermatt. My recommendation is to book this hotel you won’t be sorry.

The spa was amazing with the pool/hot tub area. The spa attendant has an attitude toward me when I went for my massage because he couldn’t find my appointment and then he was my massage which made it awkward. Didn’t like that. Then I got an unexpected charge for 250 for an extra person!? I paid 500 already and then they wanted another 250 for 2 people! I would of never stayed there if I new it was going to be 850 for two nights. Didn’t like that. But room is beautiful and close to everything.

Great experience, hotel recently renovated. Staff was VEEERY kind, from reception, to waiters at restaurant, to Kids`club monitor, not say about Andrea and the lady at the piano bar, a MUST STOP after dinner for good song and a perfect drink, both made with a lot of passion. The new spa area is also very nice, thumbs up to the infinity pool. Near to everything, great place. Will be back for sure.

THE BEST Hotel in Zermatt. Excellent Service!!!

This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was close to town and the slopes but what really made this hotel was the service. It was absolutely incredible. Everyone knew you by name, there was afternoon hor d'ourves when you came off the slopes, free water (a rarity in Zermatt) and each afternoon the GM would bring a round of champagne out to the pool. The pool was amazing and my children loved that you could swim from the inside to the outside. Wish it was open a bit later though as it closed at 8:00pm each evening. Breakfast was included and by far the best I've ever had. You could order from a menu or if you ordered in advance, they'd custom make you anything you asked. Absolutely the best!

Loved the spa and the location was good too, very close to the Sunnegga lift. Our room was very clean and service on the whole was very good. The afternoon buffet was good too. There were a couple of issues though: 1. We contacted the hotel beforehand and were told our room would have a Matterhorn view , room 212 does not have that. This wasn't too much of a problem as the weather was only clear on two days but is something to be aware of. 2. We asked reception to book a restaurant for us, came back later and it hadn't been booked as they couldn't get through to the restaurant. We were then promised hat a booking would be made by the staff coming on shift that afternoon/ evening but we heard nothing back. Decided to book ourselves instead. 3. It should be made clear if coffee is included or not in the afternoon buffet, my wife and I are still not sure whether it's included or not, based on the literature left in our room.

Excellent Hotel

Really nice hotel. We got a panorama room with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. I don’t know how many more rooms have a view, but it was well worth the extra money.

2 Star Room in a 4 Star hotel

Would not stay here again. Rooms 107 and 108 are basically subterranean. My mountain view home had a view of a lawnmower. Staff was friendly, but would not switch rooms when I asked. Breakfast was great.

Excellent stay

I stayed here with my 3 children (9,6,3). Our room was perfect for us. The staff tidied our room twice daily. The breakfast buffet was delicious and they made omelets, eggs to order as well. My children loved the kids club. The pool and spa area was added bonus. We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel and would highly recommend it for anyone traveling with children. The hotel picked us and dropped us off at train station. Great location to lifts, bus, and central shopping.

Delightful, traditionally Swiss hotel

Had a great experience with a lovely room that included a charming sleeping loft for our teenaged son. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi and simply perfect view of the Matterhorn. We would definitely return the next time we are in Zermatt. Also had a sumputous breakfast and lovely dinner at the hotel.

We had a beautiful room with 2 little balconies, a very cozy and comfortable seating area and many little extra comforts. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Nice view of the Matterhorn

This is a beautiful hotel with great staff and a very nice spa. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. You can see the Matterhorn from the balcony. The heated outdoor pool with jets is very nice and relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good as well. Enjoyed the experience.

Great location and the room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn walking distance to the main area great pool and a long day of walking.

Unhelpful & Rude Staff

Positive points- 1) walking distance from Zermatt train station 2) the house keeper was very attentive. Negative points - 1) No kettle in the room to make a cup of tea; 2) A non smoking room smelt like someone has been smoking there daily; 3) No proper bottle opener in the room and 4) whenever we asked th receptionist for help - they just said - talk to the restaurant or kitchen... HELLO!! Very disappointing stay.

It was an elegant hotel decoration. The staffs were friendly. The mountain view is excellent.But the breakfast was not included in the room rate Which we did not know before the charge, and the breakfast was fair, the egg was not very good.

Made the Dream Sweeter

The Ginabelle was wonderful. We arrived late at night, Andrea at the front desk was very sweet and helpful, the Ginabelle had all the amnesties you could possibly ask for and the room had the most awesome view to the Matterhorn. Waking up at the Ginabelle was a dream come true for us!

Perfect place to stay in Zermat.

We had an amazing stay at La Ginabelle. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They upgraded our room without us asking. The location is great - just a few minutes walk to the train station and a nice quiet neighborhood. The spa facilities are amazing. Loved this hotel!!!

Excellent Hotel for visit or holiday in Zermatt

My wife and I stayed five nights. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the facilities; swimming pools, saunas and bar. The food was excellent We judged our stay to be good value for money and will definately be back

Charmingly lovely

We arrived at this hotel after a long day of trains and automobile travel. We were so overly surprised and amazed at the efficiency, assistance and lovely welcoming we received from the moment we entered the lobby. The sweet girl at the desk was very informative and kind as to get us started on what turned out to be two days and nights of one of the most beautiful little towns we have visited in a long time. On entering our lovely charming Very Clean and neat room with a balcony that looked out at the famous Matterhorn, we were amazed and relaxed right away. We originally booked our room for one night but loved it so much we decided to stay another night. I would have stayed forever if I could. Haha. This hotel is listed as a SPA hotel and from what we saw, it looks like a lovely SPA, however we did not partake of any of those amenities. We did however thoroughly enjoy the breakfast buffet each morning. The croissants were to die for and the service quite lovely. Our trip was to visit the beautiful town of Zermatt and see the Matterhorn, Mission accomplished. Thankyou to the wonderful La Ginabelle Hotel and it's staff.

An excellent night's stay.

We stayed here for one night before travelling on the Glacier Express. We arrived quite late in the evening and easily found the hotel after a short walk downhill from the station. We were welcomed as we came through the door and given all the details in a friendly manner in perfect English. Our room, 104, was quite large with plenty of storage space, a huge bed, sofa and sitting area as well as a desk and access to a private balcony from which you could get a view of the Materhorn from one end. The bathroom was well equipped, lots ot towels robes etc with shower over the bath, which was a little tricky to organise at first. Just a note for travellers who rely on the hotel to provide shampoo, body lotion etc, this hotel provides an all in one washing gel in fixed dispensers only so you may want to pack your own. But they did supply a proper hairdryer! When we stayed the hotel was extremely quiet, with one tour party and a handful of independent guests which made for a goodnights sleep. The breakfast was, in our view, excellent with a good selection on the cold buffet with eggs cooked to order, we benefited from freshly made scrambled eggs and ham. On leaving we were offered the use of the hotel electric taxi to take us back to the station but as we were travelling light we didn't use it for the short walk. We felt that if we were lucky enough to return to Zermatt it would make an excellent base for summer walking.

Excelente hotel, piscinas formidáveis (interna e externa aquecidas), limpeza, café da manhã fantástico, localização top e como era aniversário de minha esposa, nos deram um upgrade de quarto que parecia uma casa!! A única coisa que me chateou muito foi o garçom que nos recebia no café da manhã. Exigia o local onde deveríamos nos sentar e de uma forma muito ríspida, não gostei!

Amei muito e vou voltar com toda certeza - apenas o aquecimento do quarto que deveria ser mais quentinho! Spa maravilhoso - simplesmente perfeito para relaxar após um dia de ski, restaurantes ótimos, atendimento maravilhoso de toda equipe! Simplesmente perfeito- amei!

O hotel é muito bom… me hospedei no primeiro andar do predio novo, com vista pro materhorn… o quarto é otimo e tb tinha vista pra piscina. Quando chegamos estavam em obras no quarto ao lado e acho q podiam ter avisado, fomos acordados com barulho, pedimos pra parar e pararam rapidamente. Fui com meu bebe de 1 aninho e pedi frutas especificas pro cafe da manha e eles me trouxeram todos os dias uma cesta de frutas, amei essa gentileza, as frutas estavam perfeitas, exatamente como pedi. O cafe da manha é otimoooo, amei poder fazer meu proprio suco fresco na hora. A piscina é perfeita, tem 3 piscinas aquecidas… e sao realmente quentesss e com hidromassagem: PERFEITAS. É bem perto do centrinho, 5 minutos ate a estaçao. A recepçao do hotel q é meio antiga, podiam melhorar, pois fica no predio mais antigo. No quarto tem panelas e utensilios pra cozinhar: tem tudooo, da pra fazer muuuitos jantares p a cozinha é otimaaa!!! Com relaçao ao espaço kids podiam melhorar, colocar um espaço p crianças menores que engatinham, pois o espaço era pra crianças maiores. Mas gostaria muito de voltar…piscina otima, quarto otimo, cafe da manha otimo!!!! Funcionarios muito prestativos e preocupados tb!!

Wunderbares zu empfehlen Hotel

Wunderbares Hotel, Sauberkeit ist top, Zimmer sind im besten Zustand. Was mich sehr gestört hat ist dass beim Frühstuck wenn ich eine Omelette verlangt habe, auf Deutsch, hat mir der Koch erklärt ich musste Englisch sprechen. Wir sind schlussendlich in der Schweiz und erwarte dass der Staff die Kunden betreuen mindestens eine Landessprache kennen. Das andere was nicht sehr erfreulich was ist die Renovierungen die im Zimmer über unserem war: schon am 07:50 hat das borgen und hammern angefangen.
