Unfortunately the hotel was dirty and it was condition if we want the rooms to be clean we need to pay extra because they only do it after the check out. Then the toilet smell like urine due to the lack of cleaning, the drain from the shower was dirty and smelly as well. We needed to left the windows and door open during the day so the smell doesn’t concentrate, with the down side of the moskitos getting inside the bedroom. The hotel wasn’t cheap either just in case but either a 5 * one.
Great stay when in Bordeaux. Staff was friendly, room was clean and it is about a 30 minute walk from the city centre.
Free parking outside, helpful check in staff member. It was not easy to find the accom initially as sat nav was taking us to a slightly different spot. There is a small sign higher up with the apartment name on, but it's not an obvious entrance so need to look out for this - esp at night. Overall was a nice enough small apartment.
Front desk was incredibly great!! Nice hotel 😃
Smelly and run down
Smells of sewage
Friendly and helpful staff
The room was noisy and the hotel is in a garaje around a lot of working places
The hotel was well located, bed very comfortable. Property condition and cleanliness could be improved.
Basic aparthotel beds were ok lots of mould in shower and bath Location a little bit far out to walk from main centre nothing around it Ok for the price
Great value, really accommodating in late check-in, close to tram stop, all in all a comfortable stay - room / bathroom could do with a little TLC but a nice, comfortable aparthotel.
Good stay.
Rooms have signs of use, comfortable stay though. Marks on walls and cabinets that don't line up properly, but well equipped space to feel settled in. Great location close to a tram stop. Upon scheduled check in time no rooms were available so I had to wait an hour until there was one. I was given a bigger room for this inconvenience though.
First room I was assigned was not cleaned and a mess. Went back to reception and got another room. Rooms ok, basic facilities. Easy connection with city centre by tram close by.
Convenient hotel with everything you need for a simple stay. The district isn’t very interesting but the Tram was 2 minutes away and the walk to the Center of Bordeaux was very simple.
This property was in a very unsafe area. Our room had stained towels, a missing smoke alarm and a kettle with a bunch of mould in it. We were supposed to stay for three nights and left as soon as we arrived. We did not receive our money back and all of the staff were less than helpful. No refund was given or apology.
Good size space in the family suite room. Basic but clean and comfortable. Basic kitchen but enough for day to day. One bedroom with large double bed. Bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. All in good condition and clean. Living room with sofa bed, table and chairs and TV. Staff friendly and helpful. A very quiet local area only a couple of bars / restaurants a few streets away. A couple of shops in walking distance but these tend to close early. However it is only 2 minutes walk from tram stop Grand Parc on line c. 10 minutes in to town or 10 minutes to large out of town shopping centre so well connected. Depending on time of day around an hour on tram to the airport with one change required. About 15 minutes to the rail station direct. Alternatively Uber transfer to airport approx 15 mins around €30 depending on time and demand.
The safe box for late check in and the staff was very useful
Holiday stay
Very convenient clean and comfortable with helpful staff
I did not like the so many different taxes. I liked it’s convenient location.
Positive: - well communicated. 5 stops in the tram from the main center - quick check-in - near La Cité du Vin Negative: - not very clean - old property - no cleaning of the room during stay
Unwelcoming, unhelpful man on check in. Later lady on reception was really pleasant & helpful. Adequate facilities in room. Good breakfast. Easy, convenient parking & tram.
Tram station really close, about 20 min to reach center of Bordeux, kitchen to cook and really close to the city of Wine and Submarine Pen.
This hotel become one of my favorite hotels in France. I just booked another one in Marseille.
Amazing place. One of best hotel rooms that I ever been. The best place to stay in France.
Hotel rooms size ok location was not bad close to tram and bus stop. Clean not perfect special in toilet. And communication was realy bad we hava fly delayed and canot book in to hotel before 2230. Hotels.com giva as wrong contact number to contact Hotel to make check-in. We spend good hours really tired late night to try find and resolving issues. Lady from Hotels.com try to offer as book another hotel with our pay. Finally we find corrct number to hotel and right person giv as all simplebinstruction where is key to our room. But we hava a lovely time afther this. Bordeaux is nice place to visit 😊.
GReat Hotel will stay again
Excellent, tramway very close, clean, polite staff
Disappointing
After spending 10 days traveling in hotels, wanted a place where we could cook, sorry we chose this place, it was not equipped properly, lacking in the basics, we gave up trying to cook on the second night, we had booked two rooms, just as well, otherwise we would have just one large pot to cook in. The place offers you half a sponge and detergent to leave the place clean after your stay, the sponge was not clean and it would have helped to have some tea towels,Have stayed in Bordeaux in much better apart-hotels and for less. This is more hostel type, if you are expecting a bit more upmarket, this is not the place.
A scam - avoid at all costs
Do not book here!!! Terrible service, terrible people! Save yourself the headache! Horrible staff who will disrespect you, look at the Google reviews for a true picture!
Great location. Nice room. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
They charged me twice. Never again. When I arrived to the hotel the receptionist advised me that they had two reservations under my name and they gonna cancel one, but they charged me twice for my room. After speaking with a Expedia agent I was told the hotel was going to refund , but them they refused to do it. The bathroom was dirty with mold
Really nice
Realky nice
Good location with 5 minutes walk to the tram station. Easy off site parking. Quiet environment. Small room but well equipped with everything we need. The mini pantry is good especially during this semi lockdown period with all restaurants closed. Will come again.
The residence is clearly under refurbishment. This wasn’t mentioned at anytime of the boo
On arriving at property wasn’t impressed but once inside was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the people and the cleanliness of the place. Next time I am in Bordeaux would not hesitate to stay there again👍
The property was very clean and comfertable. It enjoys a good location with free parking and is convienent to the tram for transport to the centre.
The room was very small. The bathroom tub did not have a plug so we could take a bath if wanted. The price for breakfast was high. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Residhotel Tatry
First of all, we got upgrade from the studio to apartment, which was very nice and unexpected 😊. Apartment was good, very big, with kitchenette and small balcony, the only thing I didn't really like was a shower, it looked quite old. The hotel is in a quiet area, but at the same time not far from the city center. It's walkable, or you can use a tram. There are shops nearby.
Good and not so good
Stayed 8 night in room C202 Pro: Good bed, good bed sheets, quite, good value for money, great tub! Contra: Between the stones under the bridges clearly breeding mosquitos. With in 5 minutes open window 12 mosquitos killed. Easy to see on the white walls. Funiest toilet flush ever 😂. Maybe undust the air conditioning. But that's a basic problem in most hotel rooms where I've been in the last years. Really bad for nonsmokers: Lots of guest Smoking in open windows. So no chance for fresh air by night. (Clearly not all guests respect simplest house rules)
Clean, good WiFi, free parking, 2 minutes walk to tram.
good experience
good hotel, comfortable bad and room, good energy, i got everything i asked for from the reception. will come back if i will be in bordeaux, 20 min walk to chartron and center city and tram that brings you to center city just right by.
Room was full of mosquitos Local area was very dirty
The hotel did not match the photos or description on Expedia. The location was in a less than desirable area. There were glass from broken car windows all over the parking lot. The hotel was in poor condition and dirty. The staff was dressed less than professionally and only mildly welcoming.
Great customer service, nice room and GREAT shower.
Nice appartment. A few tram stops from the downtown.
Excellent
Another excellent stay at Galerie Tatry. Great facilities and location-perfect for getting the tram into town.
We arrived in the hotel around 3:00PM on a Sunday. The office is closed. We were not told when we booked the hotel. Also, the bathroom is so dark and the shower is so small. The carpet had so many stained.
Not recommended
Firstly I will get the positives out of the way, the staff were very friendly. Now onto the negatives, the WiFi was poor and kept going off, you have to pay extra to get your room cleaned, the hotel seemed to be invested with flies, I had a double bed which was actually two single mattresses pushed together which was very uncomfortable. Also there’s no staff at all at the hotel after 11pm so if your flights delayed you will be spending your first night outside.
Excellent service, great location near tram stop, easy for parking, very quite hotel environment and fully equipped kitchen. Good place for holiday.
Basic Functional Accommodation
The hotel is basic nothing more and very clean, but the photos you show on your website are in no way a true representation of the room we stayed in and set a false expectation. The area of the hotel is also not the nicest and therefore you feel unsafe when travelling back to your room after dark.
Close to metro line (that was under maintenance) Clean and tidy apartment, small but functional kitchen, large bed
Good car parking. Price was good. Cleanliness of bathroom was a problem. Floor sticky, not mopped properly. Bad smell from bathroom.
Very good location
Très bon emplacement, très proche arrêt de tramway pour visiter le centre-ville et plus encore - nourriture à proximité dans les centres de "fitness", confortable, bien équipée, tout autour de 99% super endroit
Not so good
We Were disappointed by the room we had. It was very small( not even a place to put a luggage) . In the clothing closet, there was stuff to clean, and all mixed up. Then the towels are so thin and old. There was no fire detector in our room either. We tried to get a reimbursement for the second night because we wanted to Leave but they refused to do so. Not a great experience at all.
OK and reasonable value
OK place - rooms were quite small but just about acceptable - there is a cooking ring and fridge if you want to do your own food. Bit of a trek to the nicer parts of Bordeaux but reasonable value for money. Provided a storage area for our bikes which was helpful.
I was very happy with my room a service
Location was difficult to find. Address does not match with GPS but once found parking on property was wonderful.
Good, clean accommodation
Well equipped,clean accommodation. Good breakfast.
Clean and basic. A little way out of town but tram close by . Apart from the cafe at the surf club there is nowhere to eat close by . Room was clean but tired . Bed was comfortable. It was fine for what I wanted which was basically a clean bed and shower .
Excellent location, tram literally 1 min walk around the corner. Parking was secure, no height restriction which was key as we had a van. The bed was huge and very comfortable the shower was excellent. Separate small living room with a sofa bed and separate kitchen. Felt like student halls of residence very practical with full kitchen appliances - so not glamourous but well worth the money for two of us.
Not great
This place is far our of the main city and honestly it's kind of gross. Definitely not a place I'd like to revisit.
Good place to stay
Stayed here a number of times. Basic but always very clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful.
Good value while hotel is remodeled.
Hotel is being remodeled. Should be good once finished.
Wonderful stay
Very good place to stay. Convenient to tram and town. Will definitely be there again
Okay for one night, but very basic
The photos put up for this property don't represent the rooms we were given. Two ground floor rooms. Rooms were tired looking, very basic and small with lino flooring. Kitchenette a couple of feet from the beds and coffee cups they provided were filthy. We had to request extra pillows and a kettle. Okay for a one night stay if you're happy to go basic for a night to serve a purpose. Positives - free parking, it's fairly central and they provide a decent breakfast albeit at an extra cost.
Good location if one doesn't mind walking or travelling by tram/bus. Downside:nowhere to hang out/relax in the evening in the hotel when getting back from the city and no bar service whatsoever(just a vending machine with soft drinks). There are no bars or shops in the vicinity of the hotel either.
Good position for walking around the city and easy to return by tram.
Very helpful receptionist ( black lady) who gave us great directions and good parking for Motorcyles
Ideal for a one night stop over, free parking, breakfast ok room was small but clean. Plenty of bars within a km of the hotel
One night stay
We just needed somewhere for the night to sleep so met our needs perfectly. Breakfast was really good lots of variety. All staff friendly and helpful.
Good position
We had a good stay, very close to tram stop that takes you with a quick trip to Bordeaux.fairly hard to spot, whilst on a main road no real signage to indicate where it was. It is part of an old building at the back. Room wa good
Uncomfortable and noisy
Really uncomfortable bed, one of the sides was crooked, so I felt like I was falling off the bed the entire night. There was a lot of noise during the night, from the old pipes and other guests coming and going. Staff wasn’t really friendly, just cold and robotic. Also, we were asked to take our rubbish out ourselves, for no apparent reason, which was really odd.
Location
Little further out than anticipated. Decent accomodation and bus routes were excellent.
location ok, basic room, with this price, it is a good choice.
Hotel is fine but let down by poor area
Hotel is fine, tram stops within 200m but the area is not so good. Hotel has 'secure parking, with gates and codes etc etc, however while we were there 20 cars were vandalised and things stolen. when asked the receptionist said the gate lock dosnt work, and had no idea when it would be fixed, so the gate remained open at all times.
The WiFi Internet was painfully slow. The only good thing about this hotel was that it had a lot of (free) parking spaces.
City Weekend Break
Our 1 bed studio was very well air conditioned in the summer heat. Clean on arrival. Proximity to C line tram makes it very handy for a city break.
Value for Bordeaux.
Very good value for Bordeaux and the tram stop only 1 minute away makes getting to the centre dead easy.
No tourists please
Despite the promise of adequate parking, a space did not become available until a couple hours after arrival. There is no place to turn around, so one exits by driving in reverse. The neighborhood is not good. Not really a place to stay for tourists.
I recommend highly
Very nice place, good location, good value for the money
Room was ok bit dated and bed was very hard. Staff were very freindly and helpful though.
very close to the tram line so easy to get tp Bordeaux city centre. 17 minutes from the airport and my satnav found the hotel easily. Plently of free parking on site. They didn't do daily cleaning of the room and so new towels cost €7 for a pack. No issue with this and the reception staff were helpful and friendly .
Cheap and basic
Very basic accommodation but friendly helpful staff. Easy to get to city center by tram in 5 minutes
Reasonable size for 1
Entry was hard to find, but off-street parking when you eventually get there. A bit of a rabbit warren to find your room. Several large buildings connected by walkways and the lift to your level is not necessarily in your building. Room itself was OK but tiny (ideally should be classed as a single). No tea or Coffee provided, though there is a tiny kitchenette. 15 to 20 minute easy walk into the city. Eateries nearby, but limited
Budget friendly - close to tram stop Grand Parc
Good budget basic accommodation although had to ask for extra pillows (1 is just not enough!) be warned though housekeeping like clean towels/sheets is an additional cost payable on arrival if wanted! Otherwise good location tram stop literally just round the corner 👍
Bed was so-so. Room was quite small. On the positive side... staff very nice; having a kettle in the room was appreciated; price was okay as it included breakfast.
Extra small apartments
Extra small apartments. Two tables plus chairs that can't be pulled out for lack of space. No balcony. Everything extremely tight.
Clean and simple
We stayed here one night, I would recommend this hotel if you’re planning on sleeping there only. It was clean and served its purpose. It was within walking distance to the tram station, complimentary parking.
Good price and spacious but very tired.
A one night half way stop from spain to calais Was upgraded to an apartment so value for money very good but the hotel and apartment very tired through out.
Stay here when overnighting in Bordeaux. Convenient on tram line. Sometimes parking is difficult. We noticed people using the parking who were not resident. The decor is tired, however it is clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for money and we will continue to stay here.
Stopover
Extremely worried about safety of vehicles in car park lots of evidence of broken window glass, area doesn't feel safe , hotel ok for stopover very basic but warm no uk telly bed uncomfortable as I said basic
Good access to town centre.
Convenient for tram stop for access to town centre. Kitchen area good for breakfast preparation with hob, microwave and fridge. Asked for extra pillow, supplied immediately. Wifi not brilliant but useable.
Horrible. Old non comfortable
This a hotel away from everything. Will be ok if it cost no more than $ 50
Tram service into Bordeaux literally around corner from hotel. Cheap and easy to use.
Had a nice stay at this hotel
We arrived at Bordeaux around 10pm. Couldn't find the entrance to the hotel. WE ended up in the Galerie Tatry. Luckily a couple helped us to get to the hotel entrance. The gentleman called the hotel number for us & he was given instructions by the staff how to take our room key out of a box.
Worth it!!
Great value for the money! Full of amenities! Seams like a real house! I would stay again!
Look elsewhere
This Apparthotel style accommodation was very disappointing, and not to the standards we saw in other similar places. The pictures don't really show what this former wine warehouse looks like. Hallways are badly lit, ceilings in hallways are painted black, making the place seem very closed and dangerous. Rooms are very small, poor bedding, felt like poor student housing. Location is an industrial park, albeit close to a tram station. Staff were rude and abrupt. We could not wait to leave.
Good location and good kitchen facilities. Liked the free parking
Functional and friendly hotel at a great price!
We booked late as our plans had changed and we needed somewhere to spend one night in Bordeaux. We arrived very late but the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room was basic but comfortable and spacious, and the overall vibe was relaxed and friendly.
Excellent location
Very good location easy access to tram and getting to the centre of Bordeaux. A lovely stay and will come again
Not pleased.
Long walk from nearest tram station. When we arrived, tired and lugging our baggage we were given a room on the third floor...with not elevator! Staff was a bit sarcastic, not a great experience.
Residhotel Galerie Tatry | Hotel in Bordeaux | Travala.com
Hotel pretty clean staff helpful , speak English, quite near tram
