Travelled with family. Kitchen had enough to prepare a few meals. We walked everywhere from here. Room was comfortable, cool and quiet, allowing for a restful sleep.

property was great. close to the convention center. there was a lot of ppl checked in for different events but never felt crowded. breakfast was great just wish u could get coffee any time after the morning. room was spacious and staff was able to help with all questions i had.

Excellent property! Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean, and spacious room. Couch worn and could be replaced. Bed was a great night’s sleep. Delicious and plentiful breakfast with many options. Just under a mile walk from National Mall. Near dining, shopping, and metro!

Extra Fees

I had a very frustrating experience at the Residence Inn Washington Downtown/Convention Center. Upon arrival, we were told our room wasn’t ready at the designated check-in time, which was incredibly inconvenient. After waiting longer than expected, they offered us a late check-out as compensation, which I thought was a decent gesture at first. However, what they failed to mention was that we would be charged extra for keeping our car in valet past the usual check-out time. This caught us completely off guard when we received the bill, as no one had mentioned any additional fees. Poor communication and lack of transparency completely ruined what should have been a relaxing stay. Definitely won’t be returning.

The staff was great! Very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and well kept, but it did smell of cat pee/ammonia which was at times overwhelming.

Property wasn’t well looked after. Drawers were broken, shower rods broken and staff were not super friendly

We had a one night stay and it was nice to have breakfast the next day. The room was spacial and great, we had a kind kitchennette. However, the bathroom had an odor like plumbing issues but it was not too bad since it was just for one night. Staff was friendly too.

Great stay. Room was spacious and clean. It had a full kitchen and small living room. Would definitely stay again.

The laundry room should have available for purchase right in the area. It was a little annoying going to the lobby and get the soap and then go back to the third floor to do the laundry.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. Room was a bit smaller than expected for suite-type rooms. Continental breakfast was cold on the morning we visited it, so we decided to not eat there the other mornings.

Hotels location good. Close to Metro walking distance to white house. New hotel w modern facilities. My room had full kitchen. Large room w revolving TV. Reception staff not friendly. Breakfast quote good though menu is same everyday. Overall excellent place to stay.

We had a suite and it was wonderful. Staff were so accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was recently remodeled and the decor is very modern, clean and neat. The sofa bed wasn't very comfy but the king bed was great. We chose to sleep in one day which was ok since we had a kitchen and was able to make our own meals, drinks, etc. No oven, but we were able to make a skillet meal and basic breakfast items. Our room was pretty quiet but the view was the side of a building. Thankfully we weren't there for the view. The rooftop is nice for dining and there was a show being performed in the building. So for those days you felt you were out all day and wanted to stay close, check out the show. Staff were very nice and considerate and watched our bags when we checked out so we could tour a bit more before leaving. Walking distance from nice coffee shops, shopping and restaurants. Rideshare able to easily locate the hotel for pick up and drop off. About 15 mins from the DCA airport. No hotel shuttle service.

Great locación, close to the metro station and also easy to walk to many tourists attractions. The breakfast was a great, different options for everyone. Definitely we will stay again in this hotel.

Nice place for our extended stay

We spent four nights at this hotel. This was a nice hotel for our stay. The room was clean, spacious and included a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. Our only critique is the lack of towel bars in the bathroom and the sofa could use a good deep cleaning. The location was good. There is a little bit of a hike to get to transportation such as the Metro. We would stay here again.

The location was great -- we were able to walk to many of the restaurants and sites we visited. Beautiful facility with an excellent breakfast option. We could even see the Capital building from our room!

The location is extremely convenient for walking in the city and services were also very good. Breakfast was a bit limited but sufficient. Overall a very good place to stay in DC.

The room was alright. The only issue was the sink in the bathroom it waa clogged. I called for service and they fixed it the day after. Theres not much choice on the breakfast menu

Throw out what you think about traditional residential inns -- this place to top notch ... it feels like a nice traditional hotel in terms of a lobby and internal access to rooms. The rooms and kitchenette installs feel modern and makes it feel like a mini home away from home. The staff is very friendly all around all the way to the valet. The food in the restaurant is standard hotel variety and could be a bit better but it served its purpose (you can tell they really try there but its almost like they probably don't ask people if its good lol -- tried and tried to find something good and only had one hit) They have breakfast which is a bit lackluster but it's free and does the job (should really think about adding a soda machine as well) Walking wise -- its a few LONG but walkable blocks to popular tourist sites like the Smithsonian and National Archives (if you're not a walk -- a cab or uber ride is just minutes away) Super happy with the stay

The only negative would need the need to pull back on the air freshener or scented cleaners. It was a bit much and could be an issue for guests with respiratory issues. We did love though a would stay there again for sure!

About 20 minutes away from monument and surrounding restaurants and sites

When we arrive I immediately tried to open the auto shades in the room and they would not open. We finally got one to work. Could not see out of the room, room was dark and I am a person that needs light. I called the front desk, 2 people did arrived, they could not get them to work and said they would be back later. I had an event and left the room but had told them to please feel free to come back and fix the issue so I would have a view later that evening. When I returned they still did not work and never saw another person before we checked out. I could have been in a large closet with the same view. Thanks

The interior is modern. The rooms are a nice size with all amenities that are needed. Great location to downtown DC and close to the universities as well. Only thing that we didn’t like was at the valet parking was full and we had to find parking on the street a couple blocks away. Breakfast was delicious.

Not worth it

Well, we showed up to the hotel to check in. We were told that there was no parking anywhere. We were greeted by very rude valet who told us that we needed to move our car and there was nowhere to park. So we ended up finding a place, about six blocks away. When we called the hotel to try to correct it they kept hanging up on us saying that there was nothing that they could do. We decided to stay elsewhere in the city because of The rude service and unprofessionalism of this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it for anybody who is just trying to relax and have a nice stay.

Excellent service

Felt right at home. All the amenities and comfort.

The rooms were clean but the bathroom was having faulty sink. The temperature in the thermostat was showing as 73 even though we had set up the temperature at 68 during our visit as the outside temp was 95.

The staff made this place an awesome stay. Easy to access all sorts of amenities around and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Never Again!

We came here for a nice staycation for my husband's birthday. This experience has been a complete nightmare! We "checked" into our room Friday 7/19. We are staying until 7/21. When we were unable to get keys because of the outage so every time we left the room we had to have a staff person come up and unlock our door. Saturday I left my watch upstairs and got back on the elevator with a group going up. The staff guy asked what room number, I was like 1202. A couple checking in said their room was also 1202. Thank goodness I just happened to be there going up because staff were just unlocking doors and walking away. We went down to sort everything out. The lady at the counter said our room was listed as check in ready even though we weren't leaving until Sunday. She apologized an assured me the issue was taken care of. We were enjoing the city all day and got back that night. We go to the counter to find a staff person to let us in. We're told the system is back up and we can finally get keys! The first guy looks up our room number and can't find us. Then he looks up my name and can't find me. A manager.... Mark comes over. We explain the issue we had earlier, someone reassigning our room. He informs us we were never checked into our room. No apology nothing just a straight up attitude.Mark needs customer service training especially being a front desk manager! We've stayed at this hotel several times and have never had such a poor experience! Ruined my husband's birthday!

We had a very nice unit with a great kitchen, the room was spacious, it had an entire wall of windows. It was comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning. We would stay there again.

The property was very walkable and great with my dog, a small park was one block away. Room was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if in the DC area.

Beautiful hotel! Our room was very nice and clean, carpet could use a wash though as it had many stains. Service was excellent, we were even able to check in early. The food at the restaurant was very good. Breakfast offered many tasty items. Would definitely stay here again!

This brand new property was great, modern with great kitchen, bathroom and very good bedding, blackout courtains and very good facilities (gym and rooftop). Breakfast was included and was good too. Mrs. Williams assisted with smooth check in and she was excellent, friendly, explained all the amenities and gave as an amazing room with great view. I highly recommend this property.

Jeffrey checked us in and not only did he offer us waters and professional service, he upgraded our room which was amazing of him! This is our new go-to hotel for when we stay in DC!

Nicely located , nicely appointed and good service.

AC had a mind of it's own. Fan noise was high and they never stopped. Bathroom shower curtain was short and water pooled around the bath floor. View was amazing from 11th floor. Breakfast was super good.

Breakfast was really good.

The staff and the room was overall good. I would rebook again when I return to DC. I am having a major problem with the $150 deposit they said would be returned to me in 3-5 business days. If they needed to hold my deposit for a WEEK,I would've used another card. I was initially told it was being returned when I left. NOT A WEEK AFTER. The funds in the account on that card, are going to disrupt my bills that are coming out. As I previously said, I would've used another account

The property and amenities were great. Having to pay for parking wasn't expected.

Location of the hotel is super convenient- close to Metro station and nice restaurants. The room we were in was a disaster - no curtain on one of the windows, torn shower curtain, no body-wash in shower, only two drawers for cloths storage, AC set up to motion so at night we woke up several times to reset it because it turn off automatically.

We checked in at 6:30 pm and they said the room wasn’t ready. They had to have people check on room, so it was a bit of a mess. After that everything went fine.

We enjoyed the room we stayed at. It had a mini kitchen with a lot of amenities to use. The location was good and walkable to a lot of things. I would recommend this hotel.

I liked the location and staff was friendly

My room had issues. The automatic electric curtains were broken and the curtains were falling down. Several other issues in the room as well. The AC also cuts off after four hours or so, so you wake up in the middle of the night with no air and have to get up and turn it back on. Not good. The room needed cleaning better and had only 1/8 a roll of TP and 2 towels.
