Excellent Property and great friendly staff.

Ok stay

Location was strategic. But it didnt have a pick up and drop off area. We had 4 big luggages and had to be dropped off in the middle of the busy street. Hotel staff are okay but not service oriented. I was n pain for 4 days due to an infected gum and I couldnt even get a recommendation for a place or dentist. They did take care of us when its a tipping service like assisting in a luggage or hailing a cab. :(

Hotel is conveniently located, only steps from metro and bus stations. Staff is really friendly. Early and late check in was available for us and accomodated our flight schedules. The only negative is that coffee at breakfast was not that good. There is always great selection of fruits even in the lobby, this was great.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Breakfast is included with your stay, and the breakfast every morning was AMAZING. Tons of food options and were very good. My only negative would be being able to hear the elevator go up/down all day from our room. The elevators are also super busy from 8-10 am. The front desk did tell us that upon check in so that was to be expected. Our room was great. Our room had a full refrigerator, paper towels, and even dishes to eat on. We had a great view of the Empire State Building. I would stay at this hotel again. It’s in a very convenient location. And their breakfast buffet is another reason I’d come back!

The rooms were a great size for NYC and the hotel was right in the heart of everything!

The lower ground floors are loud with the elevator noises all day and night. The rooms look small compared to what it looks like the pictures. The place is good location wise. Close to Bryant Park and subway stations. Felt dated.

Staff went above and beyond

Hotel room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room and hotel is a bit dated and the elevators at breakfast time had a very long wait.

Sounded like a train in bathroom and would not move us or fix. Property run down. Elevators very loud and you could wait for 20 minutes to go down. Not sure how this was rated excellent, fake reviews and extremely overpriced even for nyc.

Enjoy my stay at the hotel. The customer service was excellent. We checked in easily with no problems. Room was clean aI must say I enjoyed the extremely hot, hot water. Most hotel run out at peak times. But never was an issue no matter the time of day. The only thing I must mention is the sound of the the elevator through the night. This is my new go-to hotel because your within walking distance of MSG, Macys to the right. And Times Square, Bryant Park , Rockafella to the left.

It was across from subway. The third floor space was great and was usable for my family to hang out and play games. The rooms was spacious. Bathroom was small and the door open wrong way so it made it right going in and out.

Perfect location to walk to many NYC spots. Staff were helpful and so nice.

We stayed in room 503. On Saturday night there must have been a party on the 3rd floor. The music was so loud it kept us up. We called the front desk but nothing was done. Additionally you can hear the elevator moving up and down all day and night. You get used to it so it’s not terrible but the music on Saturday night was really bad.

Nice hotel, great location

Hotel was in a great location, close to everything. Room was spacious, loved the layout with the beds on opposite sides of the room! Had an issue with the water and someone was there to address and fix it immediately! Breakfast was great and they offer lots of choices. Tried the restaurant one night for dinner and don’t recommend. Food took a long time and burger was overcooked. We ate with our friends and they got their food and were done eating before we got our meal. Overall, nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We were so pleased with the spaciousness of our room as well as the kitchen set up. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was completely quiet. Every single staff person we met was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Their attitude creates a welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire hotel, and made our stay extra memorable. Great stay

The property was in a central location, but we had issues with our room and the elevators. I complained twice about a bad showerhead that was clogged and just a trickle of water would come out, the bathroom sink that was clogged, and a broken hinge on a kitchen cabinet door. That staff did not care to help fix the situation. The elevators would have a mind of their own, you would go halfway down and then all by its self it would go all the way to the top before it would go down.

The location is great and all of the staff were so nice and welcoming. I have stayed here before for a work trip and had to come back. The breakfast buffet is good and I love that they change up the menu day to day. The food is good, just make sure you don't go when its the busy time because it will be difficult to get elevators.

Decent price, decent cleanliness across the facilities, full kitchen room. However, facility have broken elevator button, preventing us from getting off the proper floor.

The quality of the view and location

The property is a little tired and the rooms need a refurb. The saving grace is the amazing view we had of the Empire State and right down to the Trade Centre. Location is excellent and the breakfast is good

We have stayed at this property on multiple occasions due to its proximity to Bryant Park, time square and other NY classics. The staff are amazing. Our only recommendation is that they update the rooms as they are a bit outdated and the washrooms is where that is mostly visible.

Felt it was a great location. Two things- 1)there were teeny tiny spiders on the kitchen counter and bathroom floor. Didn’t see them after they cleaned the room 2)the shampoo and body soap was empty Overall I would stay here again

The full breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower was terrible, only the handheld worked and the water pressure was very low. The bathroom didn’t have an overhead fan to switch on.

The hotel has obviously had its best days. Basically, we can say that we were very dissatisfied, except for the location. What was explicitly bad? - On arrival, my family had to wait 2 hours for me to arrive so we could all be accommodated. Even though the stay was guaranteed by my credit card (at least the first night) through Expedia.com, they did not accommodate because they did not have a credit card to present at the front desk. Embarrassing, after a 14 hour flight to New York - the first room we got was on the level of an old and dirty 2 star hotel, the second, after complaints addressed with the hotel manager was a little better but still on the level of a 3 star - Breakfast? A mockery and a disaster. There was no cold buffet on offer at all, something like ham, salami, cheese, nothing ... coffee to vomit, serving in plastic containers, horror of horrors - the lifts either didn't run or were so crowded that we preferred to take the stairs when there was no other option. In one of the four elevators, they couldn't even push the buttons for each floor. We don't sleep less on our vacations as a matter of principle than we do in four-star accommodations, but I have to say that few hostels have a higher level of service and accommodation than this one. Too bad, it pretty much ruined our trip to New York. The Marriott brand, I think, is being damaged considerably by this. In conclusion, I have to commend the hotel manager for being interested in addressing the situation

Location was amazing, free breakfast was good, rooms were huge. The inly downside was the elevators were frequently broken and had very long wait times for them.

Sandra at check in was amazing and she really cared about our needs. Explained everything we needed to know about the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel has really noisy and old elevators that make it impossible to sleep. It is not really clean on public areas but room was ok. Location was the best part of the hotel.

Not what I was expecting from a Marriott. Hotel is Very very rundown. We would’ve gone to a different hotel but the staff was amazing and we stayed because of the great service they provided. Specially Sergio at the front desk.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was respectful and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed for our room.

A little old but ok while in NY for afew days Large rooms Breakfast very busy using takeaway plates cups and bowls which is abit odd for hotel but it was a ok stay

Manhattan bargain

For Manhattan -excellent. Great free breakfast (some hot food along with many fruits, cereals and breads). large room with kitchen et and pans , plated and utensils

Location was perfect. Stuff was friendly the bathroom can use update little dated, but overall was good.

Comfortable bed, nice kitchen, full frig, nice hot water but not crazy for their choice of toiletries.

I didn't like that they gave us a handicapped room without stating that it was a handicapped room. The shower was awkward.

Property is a little dated but location is fantastic and staff is excellent. Close to Times Square but not in the thick of it- closer to Bryant Park. Walkable to subway. Great breakfast options. Highly recommend.

Great stay!

The property is unbeatable with it's centralized location. The building and rooms are showing its age, this needs attention. Staffs were excellent. Breakfast was good but repetitive for our 5 day stay. Definitely will come back for it's location. Expedia service was seamless as always.

I actually only have very positive comments about the Residence Inn Times Square. I took my 12 & 13 year old daughters to NYC to sightsee. The staff was beyond welcome! They ensured that we felt safe and confident going out to explore NYC! The breakfast was fantastic and our room was excellent!! I would highly recommend!!

By far, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in NYC. The full size refrigerator, small kitchen space was a bonus. They offer a variety of breakfast food including grits!! Perfect location just a couple blocks from Times Square and Bryant park one block over. I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. We placed 2 laptop bags on the floor, 1 with a laptop in and accessories, the other one has some accessories and books (laptop was taken out). We did not move the bags until the last night when we were packing up, and found that both bags were wet, the stuff inside were wet and the laptop inside was moldy. We found that the carpet in that area was soaking, the area where the coffee table (which has metal legs) was rusty. We called the front door and she sent a technician up to the room to check and found that the AC was dripping from the inside. Long story short, we filed a claim but no one contacted until we chased a few times. It has been 1.5 months but the hotel nor the insurance from the hotel still has not advise the status of the claim.

I stayed at this location for four nights. The staff are amazing and the hotel is very clean. Loved the breakfast options and the accessibility to all places in Manhattan. The ac and HVAC system is dated and did not work for 2 days but was eventually fixed by the technician.

The hotel is good but not great in terms of upkeep and such… a little worn out. But the location is excellent and the staff is wonderful so we would definitely consider staying again.

Our check in time was for 4pm. Did not get a text that room was ready until after 6:30pm. Condition of room and facilities was ok.
