La calidad de los servicios recibidos es cada vez peor… El desayuno se acaba todo muy rápido y cada vez con menos opciones. Platos sucios, sábanas arrugadas, no sirven los electrodomésticos de la habitación, se sale toda el agua de la regadera, no calienta bien el agua, te dan solo una botellita de agua, no sirve el teléfono, almohadas incómodas… Bien ubicado y en general limpio y bien pero hemos visto cómo se va deteriorando!

Great Place to Stay

From check-in to check-out, our stay could not have been better. The front desk clerks were all so helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious…eggs, pancakes, sausage, two types of potatoes, beans salsa, chilaquiles, chicken stew, a beef dish one morning, and all the other typical breakfast items, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, pastries. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Three small issues - it took a very long time for the water in the shower to get hot, a faint sewer smell came from the garbage disposable, and the lighting in the bathroom is not very bright. Other than that, great place to stay.

We love how helpful, efficient and kind the staff was. Breakfast was delicious and with variety. Location is very good. A mall is right in front and it was very easy get an Uber from there.

Marriott needs to be SURE what is advertised on websites such as Expedia are correct for the Marriott properties. This hotel listed free shuttle within 10km. This was not true, after aksing at the front desk twice. It seems the van for this property was only for groups, or another way to make reservations however, I was told no. I was there for medical, and what seems like a small walk can be more challenging when you are 71 and in pain. Other than that, which was a rather big reason I choose the hotel, it was excellant. Also avoid staying on the 1st floor if you use ice, there is no ice on the 1st floor you must go to the main lobby and walk down to where the breakfast areas is, and that machine seemed to be out frequently. There was ice on the other floors, however your room key will only allow you to travel to the floor you are staying on, so no ice for the 1st floor.

Excelente ubicación, a unos metros del Museo Maya, centro de convenciones y centro comercial, restaurantes, cafeterías y bares. Personal amable, habitaciones cómodas y limpias libres de humo, en lo personal me gustan las habitaciones PET free por mis alergias, en mi opinión necesitan variedad en el bufete. No olviden dejar propina el personal trabajó todo el día para mantener y hacer tu estancia agradable.

El área es excelente, a unos pasos del Museo Maya, centro de Convenciones y centro comercial. El personal muy amable, habitaciones limpias, mi única observación es que necesitan mejorar la variedad bufete. En lo personal me gustó el hotel. (No olviden dejar propina, el personal trabaja todo el día para mantener limpio el hotel que será tu lugar de descanso por el tiempo que estés hospedado) seamos conscientes y generosos.

Soy visitante frecuente. El gym cada vez en peores condiciones. Solo había una toalla, muy vieja y rota. Los tapetes para ejercitarse se nota que NUNCA los limpian. La atención en general del staff es buena.

This hotel is a very good option traveling with kids since the rooms have a small kitchen and refrigerator The rooms have plenty of space and it has breakfast included. Its basic for it serves its purpose

Hotel staff and security personnel are very cordial and polite. I would say the breakfast can be better. More variety per day. For example: eggs with bacon; eggs with chorizo; etc. Salads are to early for breakfast.

Property location is excellent. Close to 2 awesome shopping malls with lots of food options. The only small thing is that the shower water pressure is not very good but manageable.

Someone on their staff waited until I went upstairs while I was using the guest laundry and put feces in the washing machine I was using. I had to throw away brand new clothes I bought for vacation. When I told the front desk, they laughed. They also charged me $50 US dollars to purchase laundry tokens that I no longer wanted to use and wouldn't give a refund. The people working there should be ashamed but more importantly Marriott as a brand should be worried about them representing an American brand so poorly. There is also noisy construction being added to the building.

Nice hotel but needs to address HOT water issue

The hotel staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The gentleman at the front desk called and booked me a taxi for the following morning. Even though the taxi company dropped the ball the next morning; I appreciated the hotel staff taking the time to satisfy a customer. My one main issue with the hotel is that there’s no HOT water in the room. You can wash your hands or shower in slightly WARM water but it’s a hassle. We had to run all of the faucets on hot just to have a “warm” shower and the other night the hotel staff had to cut our cold water valve off and only run hot water to the room. That was the only night that we had a halfway decent warm shower. However, you have to remember to call to turn the cold back on after showering because the toilet has to refill with cold water after flushing.

No bar, hate that.

The property is under renovation upon arrival and during the week they temporarily closed the front doors to the hotel. In my bathroom, there was wallpaper cut and repasted near the toilet paper without drywall with access to the hallway locked doors, which is odd. The couches were soiled with stains and occasionally you can smell sewage. Some staff were not welcoming and some were nice. The kitchen staff did not keep up with filling the food trays, utensils, and the food was cold. The pool was unclean and the pool bar was not open. One security was alert and the other appeared to come out from naps. Needs improvement!!!

The hotel change my room from 2 queen beds to a king size bed. I came with my 24 years son and he slept in a sofa bed. My reservation is for a 2 queen beds and it’s not fair they change my room, NO VIEW TO THE CITY as well! The people are abusive! I confirmed 7 days before arriving! The rooms are FANTASTIC by the way

Absolutely enjoyed this property and it will be my primary choice of stay when visiting Merida.

We had to leave our Airbnb early due to excessive noise and ended up here. This place is sooo quiet. The room: layout was spacious and well thought out with a comfy bed. There were some complaints in the reviews of the shower not getting hot. We initially thought we had that problem too but after at least 2 minutes of letting the water run it turned hot. My suggestion, leave the handle right in the middle of hot and cold and let it run. That may help. The rooftop swimming pool/Fitness area: pool is a nice size with plenty of lounge chairs and relaxing music. Fitness area has the basics of treadmills, ellipticals and free weights with a great view of the city. Their breakfast: arguably the best selection of breakfast foods we've seen at a hotel. Coffee and cappuccinos were fantastic. A shopping mall is right across the street for food and shops, the mall even has an ice skating rink. There is a Mayan museum close by, only a 15 walk. Probably the best part: we stayed during Superbowl Sunday and they thoughtfully served everyone complimentary pizza, wings, chips, peanuts, guacamole and drinks for the game. It was much appreciated. Only suggestion I would make, they have 2 washers and dryers but one dryer is down. One of the gentlemen staying here said it's been down since October. Maybe fix so there isn't a line of people, we worked with it though. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

El hotel tiene una ubicación muy privilegiad, es una pena que tenga varias oportunidades con los servicios básicos de la habitación. La llave del agua no funcionaba, mismo cuando mantenimiento subió y salió agua, nunca salió caliente, solamente fría. Es una pena por la tarifa que se paga.

Service, amenities y atmosphere were great. Front desk were very informative and friendly. Hotel was extremely clean and well maintained and organized.

All in all the property and rooms were clean and inviting. Complimentary breakfast was good and staff constantly refilling food items. My problem was with housekeeping and front reception staff. Water in our shower came out too hot. It was practically unbearable to shower, my husband told reception but nothing was done. On our final night, my daughter’s bathing suit was removed from where we left it to dry and not to be found anywhere in the room. I called front desk and again nothing was done. I was told housekeeping was gone for the day but no other solution was provided.

Great place to stay

We were impressed by the cleanliness of our room. The condition of the hotel is very good. Everything looked new and worked perfectly to our satisfaction. Also, the size of the suite with kitchen made our stay much more comfortable. The location is a plus, close to shopping malls and access to key routes.

Shower was lukewarm and very little variety for breakfast. No drinking water was left in the room.

Mediocre Guest Experience

Residence Inn Marriott in Merida was a mediocre stay for us for the price we paid. The hotel condition was as expected of a Marriott and the reason for the 3 star rating is that there was nothing exceptional. We got a little less than what we paid for. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and it does seem that it is highly dependent on if other rooms were showering or not!! The "hot water" was less than luke-warm which made it uncomfortable if one was washing hair and in the shower for awhile. Although we understand that being a "long stay" residence, some amenities are not provided, we were shocked when we asked for refill of the coffee packets in our room that we were directed to purchase instant coffee in the convenience store. If Marriott wants to pursue short stays as a business option, then it should train staff to know when to accommodate guests requests.

Todo estuvo perfecto, la atención del personal, las instalaciones, ubicacion, etc. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y bien equipadas para preparsr y guardar alimentos, yo estuve 3 noches y mi familia y yo disfrutamos la estadía y descansamos. Otro punto a favor es que puedes llevar a tu mascota, claro, con un costo extra que es menor. Solo sugeriría como área de oportunidad que variaran los platillos del desayuno

Horrible Customer Service.

The person that checked us in and not was friendly. She was rude and made it seem like we were bothering her. The first room we were checked into had mold on the ceiling. When you told desk about it, they just looked at us as if we were crazy. We had to have someone help us after we took several pictures to show them we were not lying. Breakfast was the same all nine days we were there. The second room was fine, very clean. The location was great.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is always wonderful!! The entire hotel is clean and fresh and well kept. The rooms are big and very nice and comfy. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is yummy. And best of all, the entire staff is amazingly friendly and helpful!!
