The worst mattresses ever, really need upgrading. Black mold in shower, doubt rooms get inspected daily or weekly. Great location and dining options. Room type was really too tight for 3 people, had I know I would have gone with a larger room.
Good hotel with spacious rooms conveniently located near public transportation and close to the main London attractions. Breakfast is very good, hotel is starting to feel dated and in need of a refresh, but still very good.
Lovely front office staff
We enjoyed a short stay in London and found the Residence Inn to be clean and comfortable. It wasn’t far from the train station, which made it easy access to visit all the fun things in London. I would definitely return.
Convenientemente ubicado. Buen desayuno
Great hotel
It was our daughters first stay over and it was lovely we’re so glad we choose this hotel it was perfect
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The grounds and the room were spotless. It was located close to everything we wanted to do. Good dining and pub options around the hotel as well.
The area was close to London Bridge Station yet in a quiet neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and I would stay here again.
Ultra Bad Marriott Customer Service
We booked 4 rooms and thought we’d presses refundable. Within 10 mins of confirmation, two people said the didn’t want rooms as they already live in London (I didn’t know) so I immediately cancelled them and was told Hotels.com would sort direct with the hotel - 10 minutes!! We stayed and after our stay - Hotels.com says that Marriott Management decided they wouldn’t give us a refund as it was too late notice. Ultra disappointed by a global brand being so bad and so short sighted - you must be desperate for cash!!
Clean spacious room which met our needs. Staff were attentive. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and lovely fresh bakeries. Thanks for the stay.
Day 1 was great. Following day 1, felt staff was very disconnected and almost annoyed to support.
Close proximity to trains and Underground Breakfast is excellent Staff very accommodating
Paper thin doors and terrible acoustics outside caused repeated disturbances in the evening and night time. On top of that, the fire alarm went off several times in our room because people were cooking in other rooms. If the sound proofing of the doors was fixed, as well as the fire alarm issue, it would be a wonderful hotel.
Uma alternativa razoável perto da London Bridge
Estadia ok. A limpeza do quarto é fraca e as camas não são confortáveis. O quarto é apertado.
Amazing experience from A to Z! If I have to come back to London I will book this hotel once again. Room was very large for 5 persons and we appreciated the well-equiped kitchen and the 2 bathrooms. Perfect place to explore the city and close to London bridge and subway. Very great breakfast and exceptional personal, wery welcoming and helpful. Cannot find something wrong except maybe the lack of room in the breakfast area during peak hour
We booked to stay at the residence inn as we were here five years ago. To say we are disappointed is the least. The room has a very musky smell with loose flooring that sinks down when you step on it. I’m certain there is water damage as our clothes reeked when we left. The service is very slow, even with simple requests as another towel. Only one outlet worked in our room, after trying every outlet with all 4 of our adapters. Lastly, they advertise to have infant cribs, but only provided a pack and play with a very unsafe and worn out mattress. Thankfully we brought our own sheet for our baby, but had to watch him sleep the whole first night to ensure he was safe. Although there are some good restaurants nearby, this hotel is not worth staying at.
Our window leaked, the shower leaked, the bed was so lumpy, and the hallways were so cold!!! Not worth the money for a Residence INN!!! And people messed with our laundry.
Not what i expected from Marriott
The room provided was an accessible room, which was not requested. The accessible room had a low bathroom sink and a high commode, which were not ideal. Additionally, there were insufficient electrical outlets and lighting in the room to charge devices. The television was also not functioning properly. The breakfast, however, was satisfactory.
Good for price
King bed was in a small room. Had 1 foot clearance on each side. Foot of bed had a little more room. Pull out bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
To provide parking lot.
Good place to stay, nice size rooms. Did have noisy neighbours in next room but you can hardly blame the hotel for that.
Recommended. Clean and modern. Friendly staff and has a great breakfast selection. Close to Tower Bridge and major stations.
Amazing location and great property
Nice and comfortable room. No AC, but probably not needed with few exceptions.
The hotel offers a fantastic breakfast, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Every morning, there was a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, from healthy fruits and yogurts to beans, eggs, soda bread, pancakes, cereal, pastries, and a variety of coffee: cappuccino, espresso, latte, americano. The quality and variety really made a difference in starting our family’s day on the right foot. Another major perk is the free laundry service, which is rare to find at many hotels. It made traveling so much more convenient, especially for our 1-week long stay. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel is a gem and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, hassle-free stay.
Breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful.
Breakfast is amazing, staff so friendly and accommodating
Room were good. The dryers in the laundry room were horrible!!!!! Please upgrade it took hours to dry our clothes.
Great hotel. Everything we needed was there. Loved the breakfast. Great service from all members of staff. They were more than happy to keep our bags before check in and after our stay.
I enjoying staying within walking distance to the tower, bus station, tube, the Strand and Borough Market. Also it was located near many dining options
We stayed in this hotel for one week. The hotel and location is nice! I informed the staff about the water pressure in our room, but no action was taken. The water pressure was so low that I spent triple the time washing my hair. I could have given them five stars if they had addressed my issue or done something. If you don't mind low water pressure, this hotel might be good for you. For me, I will not stay here again.
Excellent hotel in a superb location
This was the second time we've stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott London Tower Bridge and for sure it won't be the last. The staff were excellent from arrival to departure, the breakfast choice great and the hotel very clean. The location is absolutely perfect and only a short walk from London Bridge tube station. Bermondsey Street is absolutely superb. The kitchen facilities in the room were perfect and if you did want to dine in they had everything you needed.
Our stay was great! Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff!
The hotel on the whole was fabulous the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.. the room was well presented with all the amenities you need and more!! The only downside to our hotel stay was the main bed it was so squeaky it was ridiculous and that was literally just turning over through the night it woke the whole apartment!
The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great!!
I loved the location. Bermondsey street was charming. London Bridge station was close to everything.
Small suite in lovely area
The hotel is in a great area, service was excellent and very clean. The breakfast was wonderful. However the suite is very small, little space to unpack and no door on the bedroom. The toilet was very hard to flush and we asked for someone to fix it but it didn’t get serviced.
They moved our booking to a different hotel
I originally booked to stay at tower bridge but on the day of check in got an email to say our booking has been moved to the sister hotel at London Bridge due to maintenance issues. We booked tower bridge as we were attending an event on the same street as tower bridge hotel. When questioning reception at London Bridge they were clueless about it and tried to convince us that London bridge was just as nice even though it’s a 3* when we booked the 4*(tower bridge ) The London Bridge hotel was not in a convenient area for us had they given us more notice I would have cancelled the booking and booked a different hotel nearer the location I needed. I wrote an email to complain with an apology but really no interest will not be using Marriott hotels again
Practical but can be pricy
Good part is the free laundry facilities - esp important for long stays and the 24 hr free tea & coffee supply + complementary bakery in the evening. The downside is the cost - far too expensive for a Resident Inn. Maybe we booked at the wrong time.
They were great!!
Very close to London Tower Bridge and the train station. Very walkable. Staff at the hotel are amazing. Breakfast was also nice. Was great to have a kitchen. Stayed there for the London Marathon so did use the kitchen a few times. Grocery is nearby too with some great restaurants.
The room was immaculate and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
The lift being out of service caused some long wait times.
Best staff.. great place to stay as everything is nearby and location is very safe
This suites-type hotel on Bermondsey Street is a gem! It's a 15 minute walk to Tower Bridge. Street is quiet and largely out of busy tourist areas. Many excellent small local restaurants are very close by. The neighborhood is an interesting former leather-tanning district with a number of old commercial buildings now repurposed as apartments. The room had a good, well-equipped kitchen area. An excellent free breakfast including healthy options is included.
Staff was exceptional… friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. Claudia at reception made us feel at home
Lovely hotel and great location
Great experience lovely accommodation. We were placed in an accessible room, despite not being disabled. Which although not the end of the world isn’t as comfortable as we’d have liked. Great location though and just a short walk from the Shard and a vibey street full of bars and restaurants and coffee shops.
It was great
first time at a residence inn . loved the room size and amenities. Also having a free use of laundry facilities was a nice bonus.
Great front desk Staff and great location.
Wonderful place to stay in London, close to most everything and literally a pub or eatery every where you look. The staff is top notch and were incredible!
Great stay. Comfy beds and great service.
Awesome experience
Staying at Residence Inn, was amazing. From the well kept rooms to the incredible breakfast each morning. Location wise was very convenient, many restaurants, local shops, sightseeings, and even landmarks nearby. Overall a great stay with Residence Inn, especially being in London for the first time. Will be visiting soon.
Friendly staffs
It's the first time we've been in London. We booked this hotel because it's a walking distance to all the nice places we wanted to see. We walked to London Bridge, The Big Ben, The Eye of London. There are many restaurants near the hotel of all types. The room is nice, clean, with all the silverware if we need to eat the leftover from the restaurants. We loved the breakfast here, the food is amazing, the staff is outstanding, very attentive and helpful. I always wanted ice for my bottle, and I did get them most of the time, just have to wait for the ice to be made LOL. We would definitely come back here again if we visit London. Thanks everyone for the wonderful stay.
Excellent for staying a few days with the extra sitting/ dining space. Only one small point- the shower floor gets very slippy and nearly caused a problem.
Small small rooms, heater/ ac working non stop and noisy,
Family turned away on Xmas Eve as no physical ID
Totally devastating experience. Being a modern family mainly using Apple Pay, we didn’t have ID and literally got turned away on Christmas Eve, despite prepaying on Hotels.com When I called their customer services, she did too and blocked them resolving it for us. The shift manager seemed to actually enjoy doing it too! When we tried to mobile phone film the terrible scene she tried calling the police ‘on our family’ and we had to run off scared! No words can explain this situation. We’re just normal folk, not some awful people. Floods of tears from a 5 & 7 year old and a serious complaint lodged. We paid for another hotel across the bridge, where we were welcomed with free branded teddies - and no ID check!
Fantastic
Overall a 3 star Hotel. You get what you pay for. It’s definitely outdated . It is on the outskirts so cabs /taxis to get into the city will cost you about $50 US . The manager I believe his name was Teryron was very helpful and kind.
Uncomfortable sofa bed. Dusty furniture. Hostile front desk staff. On the positive side, good breakfast spread and friendly cleaning staff during breakfast service.
Very accomo
Size of room is very good, area is a little far, breakfast is excellent, staff is very friendly, maintenance of the property could be better
Great stay during our trip to London over Thanksgiving. Excellent location and the staff could not have been more helpful or nicer. Very nice buffet breakfast every morning too. Thank you!
Cleanliness was deficient
Great hotel in a great location
Great Hotel and great location
My earrings (which was a gift from my husband) got stolen inside the room and the staff at the lobby did nothing about it. I left my earrings on my bedside table. I didn't hide it or use the safe because I always leave the "Do Not Disturb Sign" hanging on the door. Unfortunately, the one we had was very old and worn out so it always fell on the floor whenever we use the door. One day, my daughter saw it on the floor and mistakenly put it the sign inside the room. So the cleaning lady went in and that was the only day that someone else entered our room. When we got back, my earrings were gone. I asked my daughter to report it and the staff immediately said, "Hmmm...this has never happened before." Sounding defensive. No apology or empathy. They said they will look into it and get back to us. But they never did. We had to be the one to always go down to the lobby to followed it up every single day because the phone in our room was either dead or not connected. All they said was, "That cleaning lady has been with us for so many years and this has never happened.' That's it. Ok so who else entered our room, then? Granted that I should've used the safe or hid my earrings, but bottom line is... it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I will not recommend this hotel and never stay here again.
The location was fantastic with train and bus stops nearby. The hotel is on a main street with many restaurant options. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Would definitely return.
Walkable to most things. Clean hotel with spacious rooms. Mix up with the hotel who, after we dropped our bags off, sent an email saying we were being sent to stay in their sister hotel. This apparently was not the case….a confusing start to our stay.
The hotel was at a convenient location walkable to London Tower Bridge. Room was clean and kitchen facilities was good. Bathrooms neat and service was great. Sure to recommend. We enjoyed our stay.
Great complementary breakfast Great service and staff
Location.
The property was located close to many sight seeing opportunities and the train station is nearby.
Mixed feelings
Great location, but design of the rooms means that one of the beds is VERY close to the toilet, which isn't ideal.
THIS HOTEL HAS AIR CONDITIONING!!!! Just was there about two weeks ago …had left a hot box hotel for this and couldn’t be happier with my decision… great location, clean facilities, a gym and laundry mat, friendly attentive staff. Will definitely book here again next time I’m in London
It was really good having the kitchen area as we were there for 6 nights and didn’t want to eatut every night. The laundry was a bonus as well.
This property was great.
Great staff!!
Not enough signage for property to be seen for transportation purposes. Not enough lighting at night. Some laundry facility machines did not work. My room air conditioning did not work, although maintenance very quickly brought into the room a portable air unit which did help somewhat. Breakfast was usually late being placed and only one coffee machine for the facility, and it did not work quite often. The staff were extremely helpful, respectful and always courteous and generous with their time.
They overbooked my room and had my family walk with all of our luggage to their sister hotel. It was upsetting that there was no compensation or even an upgrade for the inconvenience. I expected more from Marriott. The point of making a reservation is to have a room reserved. Not the best way to start the vacation I planned for months.
Very good value for your money
- after repeatedly asking to fix the faucet and toilet it was not fixed. - shower leaked - very small room - hostess was friendly (earlier checkin) - nice breakfast - great location
Staff is not helpful. Any requests wevhad put were not answered. Rooms are very small. The cleaning crew lost the pair of my shoe and had no idea were they put. When we told reception desk they did not care
Marriot did it again and saved our trip after a disapponting booking with another hotel. I will be faithful to Marriot forever. Glad to be a Bonvoy member!
This hotel was perfect for our visit to London. Close to public transportation & lots of fun restaurants close by. Room was well-equipped with full kitchen. Small but comfortable.
Really mice area Staff was very helpful It is not a walking distance from London main attractions Breakfast was crowded and not that fancy.
Room was very nice and clean with comfortable beds. Having the double bathroom was extremely nice. Really enjoyed ourselves!
The room and the bathroom were soooo small. I usually like to stay at Residence Inns because they are so roomy but not this one. Also, the entrance to the hotel was through an alleyway so it was difficult to get luggage to and from the hotel.
Great staff, always available!
Great Place to stay, friendly/helpful staff…walking distance to shopping, restaurants, pubs, cafes, etc. Convenience of underground within walking distance….Highly Recommended!
Loved the neighborhood. Bermondsey is full of young people, lively pubs and shops and a lovely little park. Quiet at night, yet still very much alive.
We had the best stay! The location is a cute and fun neighborhood with lots of places to eat and hang out. It’s also a very safe location where two young girls felt comfortable coming to after dark
This property was perfect for our needs. Nice morning breakfast. Friendly staff. Excellent housekeeping. Fun and interesting neighborhood!
Don't stay hear
No secure lock on the entry door. no hot water in the bathroom sink. promised to fix but did not. 3 tissues. never replaed tea bags. No shower curtain to contain spray (shower was an open showerhead with a drain in the floor.) safe located in bottom of clothes closet - had to get down on my hands and knees to operate it.
Lovely room, excellent breakfast, and helpful staff.
The room is a bit too small. The location is good. Took us 10 minutes to walk to the subway or train
Many dining options nearby. Train and metro nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Noise disturbances from room next door as well as opening/ closing of room doors were very audible. Room had strange odours from vent, otherwise clean.
