Great property and location

We were on the ground floor just passed the lobby. In the morning for about half an hour we got to hear the cleaning crew in the laundry room, it was like they were in our room. If we had a quieter location it the stay would have been much more pleasant.

Good omelette and coffee. Great selection of breakfast items for all the family. Room was very quiet, spacious and comfortable.

Great property and location but lousy service.

Breakfast closing time is supposed to be 9 am on weekdays. The staff doesn’t restock any items after 8:20. They were out of bagels, bread and egg omelets. We had specifically requested for housekeeping service during our 2 night stay but came back from our day trip to find the room was exactly as we left it.

The room was very nice. Super spacious, clean, comfortable, abd quiet. Location great, right off the interstate, lots of food options close by. Breakfast was...meg Coukd have been great. Cage free scrambled eggs ( not powdered), really tasty little spinach quiches ( good enough im going to replicate them at home) and lots of interesting toppings for oatmeal.there was also sausage and the usual cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs. But the food was all cool, not warm, let alone hot. Coffee ran out and wasnt replaced for 30 minutes ( I timed it). Oh so close! Not sure why they couldnt keep it warm!! Would have made a world of difference!

Great accommodations for a family!

Residence Inn consistently offers great accommodations for our family of 5. As our kids are growing up we are finding these rooms give us the space we need and the cleanliness and comfort we desire.

Our stay was amazing! The staff was attentive and courteous. The entire hotel property was immaculate. I will definitely be staying here again whenever I’m in Jacksonville.

Ok, but wouldn’t stay here again.

Easy check in, very comfortable bed/pillow, but plastic like furniture was not comfortable. The cleanliness level was questionable. Lots of grime on kitchen and bathroom handles. The room was showing its age.

I love the Residence Inn the only concern I have is that my shower did not have warm water it only had extreme cold or Extreme Hot I could not adjust it in the room to get warm in between. That needs to be looked at right away.

Everything was good

The property was clean and well kept. The room was very clean. The whole staff at this property was superb. The checking in lady was very professional, helpful and friendly. She stored our suitcases until check in time, and check-in was a breeze. The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast lady was very helpful. I am sorry that I did not get everyone's name. Kudos to the team at this Marriott! Thank you!

Very nice staff

The staff were amazing! Room was spacious and cleeeaaan! There are some renovations going on in the lobby which didn’t bother me, just showed they take pride in the facility. Conveniently located off the freeway with zero freeway noise and lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend!

There was an issue with my booking through Expedia but Indeanna at the front desk was so helpful and kind. She was able to resolve the issue immediately. I am a Hilton Diamon Member and my experience at this Marriott hotel has completely blown any of my Hilton stays out of the water. Amazing customer service, fantastic amenities, and an outstanding hotel.

This property has a very helpful & friendly staff. The room was recently renovated, so it was beautiful. Convenient location made it easy to access our hotel as well as shopping centers and restaurants. Pool and fire pit areas were also very nice.

Was in town for my son track national meet the location was convient. House keeping didn't do a great job cleaning our room prior to our check in, we had serval issues with something not being cleaned. The staff in the lobby was great and she helped as much as she could.

Hotel was very clean and the updates are great!

Breakfast was great. Fourth floor remodel is fantastic.

Excellent room- lots of space and storage. Clean. Check in was late due to family emergency but smooth and professional. After that, sometimes no one manned the desk or even looked up. If I asked for a clean towel (because I did not seek room clean for 4 days), I felt like I was a nuisance.No “lounge” service at all despite advertising they had one. Apparently there was no one to work it.

The night shift manger was very rude and intruding!

Amazing stay, very clean hotel

Really didn’t feel like a Marriott hotel. Out of 4 days bar was only one. Staff was ok. Room was a little outdated for the price. Felt like being in a Comfort Suites.

Nice facility.Not quite as good as the Marriott we stayed at in Dania Pointe.

Overall ok, but amenities were definitely below average. Limited food options, bar shut down without notice, lack of coffee during breakfast, overpriced snacks, paper thin walls with very loud guests and animals. Would not return

Overall a good stay if Jill didn’t work there

Overall a great stay EXCEPT for the extremely nasty, unprofessional, and rudeness of the breakfast area attendant Jill. We had walked into the area at 945am not realizing it closed at 10. There was ample food in there and as we started to take some she yelled at us they it was closed. We were naturally confused as to there being food available and she denied us where she spoke condescendingly to us, women over 40, as if we were children that couldn’t process the idea of it being closed. Ironically the next day as we were leaving we heard her snap at a man waiting to get a receipt that “that wasn’t her job” and left him standing there. This woman needs some on the job training of customer service because she is lacking. Tori, the desk attendant, on the other hand was wonderful. She was sweet and thoughtful as we checked in and went above and beyond when we asked if we could have a top floor room as we were going to bed earlier than most people. Outside of Jill, the place is wonderful and a great value

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was wonderful., consistently kept the room clean. Bar could be better (Not opened on the weekend). Pool was closed. The pull out couch was damaged and could not be used.

Never again at this hotel

Room was dirty, sheets had spots. Coffee maker was broken. Shower was broken.

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was clean and nice but I want to mention the pillows were garbage. I called guest services and requested new ones and never heard back from anyone. We ended up buying some at a store.

Normally love staying here but this time we had a little issue with bugs

Favorite Hotel in the Area

It was great stay as usual. I’ve been coming to Jacksonville for 10 years. I was one of the first people to stay at this location and have been back multiple times each year. I would’ve stayed here more, but some of the trips the prices for here were considerably higher than similar hotels. This however is my favorite.

Property was absolutely beautiful. Our room was great, the bed was perfect, not too soft, not too firm. For an overnight trip, this hotel was a great choice.

Bugs in bathroom and on bed

Stayed here for a night. Got put into an accessible room in the first floor and I woke up to a bathroom with small black bugs on my comforter sheets and a handful of large flying ants. I informed the front desk staff and she did nothing and didn’t seem concerned.

This property is fantastic! Great location, clean and spacious rooms, and even better staff! I had a great interaction with Charlie upon check-in - and was always greeted with a smile from any other front-desk attendant while entering/leaving the hotel. The location is right in the midst between downtown Jax & St Augustine, and it’s surrounded by restaurants and a few shops. The room itself was clean and had plenty of space.

Very clean quiet property, conveniently located to a vast choice of dinning. The hotel is clean spacious, the pool is nice but not heated. Best hotel choice we could have made for the money. Only con is the breakfast, there is plenty of options but the egg sandwich buns could crack concrete if you dropped one. The eggs will give you a mouthful of sulfur. Your best bet would be the jalapeño egg biscuits. I wouldn’t let the breakfast stop me from staying here again, the rest of the stay outshined the breakfast and there is a McDonald’s and First Watch just down the road

Request not honored

Upon making my reservation with Hotels.com, I requested a quiet room, not too far from the elevator, and a connecting room to my daughter and her family. When we checked in the employee told us they did not receive the request. They put me on the third floor and my daughter and her family on the fifth floor. The hotel clerk was able to find two rooms on the fourth floor but they were very far apart. My daughters room was 423 and mine was 403. Room 403 was extremely far from the elevator and I have a sprained foot. The next morning, about 4:10 am, I was awakened by the trash people emptying the garbage dumpster. 😡 Later that morning I called to see if they had another room closer to my daughter’s and hopefully quieter, but I was told they did not have any other rooms on the floor that were closer except room 405 which was right next-door to my room so that didn’t make any sense to move. I had a king size bed and my daughter and her family had two double beds. I wanted to move closer to my daughter and the elevator, because of my foot. I have stayed at Marriott many times and although the room was lovely, except for the view of the trash dumpster, it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Great Staff, Uncomfortable Beds, Bugs In Muffins

First, let me say that the people here were really nice. The hotel itself is in good condition and the rooms are large and well set up. But the bed was absolutely terrible. We booked a 1 bedroom with a king and it was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. After the first night, I called and told the front desk to ask for a mattress topper or to see what could be done and was told they didn't have any but could give me a couple of extra blankets, which I had to go retrieve myself and which didn't help but the lady was nice and apologetic about the bed. They said they were also out of rooms other than one downgraded studio. During breakfast, my daughter was about to open a muffin and noticed that inside the packaging there were bugs crawling around. I saw several people come grab those muffins before my daughter and go up to their rooms, so hopefully, they noticed. The staff was quick to remove them once I pointed this out and everything else on the line was clean. In summary I'd say the staff were great as far as being friendly. The bed was so bad though. My neck and back were torn up after staying here for 4 nights on vacation. I went back home from vacation feeling beat up because of it. If something could have been done on the bed situation, the rating would be much higher, but when the bed prevents any rest and relaxation on vacation, it's something I can't just gloss over. Now I have to try to recover from my vacation while going back to the grind.

Wonderful hotel

This was a great hotel to stay with the family. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of amenities, that I regret not having time to use. Pool and grill area are wonderful. Will definitely look at it again when we visit back.

Loved the layout of the room and kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Definitely more of a residence then just a hotel room. Easy to find and close to highway. Staff was very pleasant. Condition of hotel was very nice and clean. Mattress could be better but didn’t lose any sleep over it. Pillows were perfect though. Nice amenities. Breakfast was ok. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to others. Would love if bathroom had magnifying makeup mirror in future.

A great place to stay in Jacksonville

Even though I didn't use your pool or fire pit, I loved seeing them. The kitchen in the studio was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was large and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was also good. I plan to return. I recommend this to anyone.
