Nice stay. Great breakfast
The hotel manager cancelled my reservation and kept my advance payment. $636.
Convenient location in downtown. However lobby is also shared with Courtyard and Springhill Suites and can be busy with conferences. Rooms are clean but severely outdated and need a renovation.
Great location, clean, very nice!
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Great place to stay! Young man in the front very helpful!
Overall, a good hotel to stay at, just be cautious of homelessness around the side of building, which they didn’t bother us.
Didn't know anything about the vaket parking until i arrived, wasn't informed during on-line booking
Super friendly staff, rooms were immaculate. Definitely will be back.
Regrettably quite a large number of homeless around the district. Nothing the hotel could do about this though. Inter city transport nonexistent, to visit anywhere other than the city of Houston you need to use a cab.
Loved it!
The location is great. The breakfast was good. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant.
Very recommended
Terrible
Spacious rooms.
Very clean room, kind staffs and convenient to anywhere.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Ben was not helpful and very unprofessional. He was not willing to help even though he was well able to do so!
Very clean rooms and safe property.
the ice maker in the freezer didn't work.
I loved my stay. It's perfect considering the cost...the breakfast was very good with a great selection, the staffs was very friendly and polit, same the guesses. The staff was OUTSTANDING. My room was clean, and I had no issue with the state it was in. A bit of wear and tear noticeable but nothing major. As for the neighborhood, its ok, its downtown located in a business sector, so its a bit boring naturally, but you can walk to better spots easily or take the light train. I highly recommend it.
I stayed here on a business trip. Everything was great! Loved the location. Will stay here again.
Book it!
The view was amazing, great breakfast, the location was convenient, and the staff was so friendly!
Think about it...
I have stayed at other Residence Inn. This one has past its time. The bed was fine, however there were old couches, lights, and tvs. I stayed in the 2 bedroom and one of the showers hum and shake while the water was pouring out the shower. There was stains on the floor and the carpet need to be replaced in the central area. Would I stay at that Residence Inn again, No. If the rooms were update to the new standard I might stay there again. Good Luck. The breakfast food was excellent.
Great property and staff. Breakfast was great. Very loud in this area at night, especially on weekends
The young lady that checked me in Thursday night and checked me out Sunday morning was very nice and friendly.
Good for traveler
I double booked the stay and when I got there the lady pressured me into canceling the other reservation knowing I would not get credit for anything since I had already paid. I ended up without even Marriott points after throwing away $1K. When I asked her to see what she could do to at least credit me points she said she had already canceled it and could do nothing.
Homeless people on the sidewalk.
Concert night stay
I had stayed here before but there have been improvements. Our room and bathroom were very clean! Not even dust in the bathroom corners. Good breakfast for continental. Friendly staff.
Really clean room. Room had a really nice size to it
No clean rundown looking furniture stained dirty
Ok
Checked in at 4 pm and left at 8 pm.
Good.
No where close to shop and you have to uber everywhere you go.
Convenient for downtown business visit
Room was to hot
The room had a few spots that weren’t cleaned but probably easily missed. Also, the continental breakfast could be better.
Breakfast staff was very nice
Was a great stay.
Very nice
I highly recommend Residence Inn Downtown Houston! The rooms felt just like home and the views were amazing! We had everything we needed! The staff was so friendly, helpful, and provided us with a thorough list of activities, grocery stores, shopping malls, and dieections. Valer was so quick and convenient! 10 stars!!!
Excellent!
Excellent!! Very clean, excellent water pressure in the shower, complimentary breakfast!
Weekend for 1
Hotel was nice just had issues with AC in my room. Other than that, I would book again.
Great area place to bring your family to stay, would definitely be back
It was the perfect single room for five people. We were looking for something with a pullout bed. Right in the heart of Houston. Great breakfast.
What a brilliant hotel!!! The staff were outstanding! My room was huge and extremely well-equipped (“full kitchen” literally means a full kitchen…!). The included breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast room was big enough to accommodate many people. I loved everything about this hotel! Being downtown, homelessness in the area is evident, but the hotel is secure. The area is walkable. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Houston. As I said, the staff were amazing and are a true asset to the hotel.
The room was spacious and clean. The shower made a loud noise and kept turning all the way to hot when turned on. Housekeeping didnt knock one time when coming in the room. Other than that the area was perfect, close to lots of events and shopping and food. Breakfast was really good.Kudos to whoever made those waffles. Staff was friendly. The room wasnt okay, good for thr price.
Traveled from Dallas and had a great stay
good location but nothing in Down town.
Clean, staff was nice, breakfast was tasty, pool was clean.
Front desk clerk Phuong was incredible--she was very kind and helpful. She had our room ready quickly although we were early. Thank you for such great service!
Perfect location!
We had an amazing stay! This hotel was close to both arenas we attended for events!
People was friendly and good but they made only the bed, not sofa bed And that (sofa) was no comfort
All around, the hotel's location was very convenient for our stay. Being at the center of downtown, it made it easier to walk to places. The room was surprisingly big, would say one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. Can't beat the price. Would for sure stay here again.
Nightly parking is extremely expensive. Apart from that this is a great area and place to stay
Spacious and Clean
The room was huge and very clean. The location was great as we were going to Minute Maid Park. Felt very safe.
Place was fine. Just wish there was more parking options. Parking cost about half of the hotel stay
I felt like no one had slept in my room but ME!
The stay was fine, however, like most hotels, they bumped up the price for Valentine’s Day. But what was even worse, they charged $50 for their parking!!! The valet podium had a sign on it saying parking was $20. I called the hotel and they apologized for their parking price but said $50 isn’t a mistake. I think that is just price gouging and just plane wrong.
.
The staff was friendly the hotel was clean. The bedroom was clean no noise complaint the breakfast is good.
Philosopher hag red stains all over them indicating blood
The room was not ready and they offered a
Clear miscommunication. Customer service is everything when your not comfortable staying in an unfamiliar place vs your home.
It was in a convenient location. But some of my stuff got stolen. The cleanliness was poor and front desk was friendly but didn’t really act on things being told to them.
Excellent place
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast
Very nice staff.
Nice totel!
nice hotel with full kitchen!
Fe
Great location. Clean and kind persons attending the hotel
Good place to stay if you are going to the House of Blues.
Overall a nice place for an extended stay. It would be nice to have a chancing room for the pool, other than that, no complaints here.
It was good. The bed was comfortable housekeepers available. Breakfast was abundant.
Room booked month ahead not available at check in
I booked a 2 bed suite with sofa bed a month in advance because we had 5 people in our party. At check in, the front desk notified us that they didnt have any 2 bed suites available and because I booked through a 3rd party, they didnt have to do anything about it. They said Hotels.com overbooked those room types and I should never use them for bookings. 2 of us got a bed, 2 had to sleep on the double sofa bed with the typical thin mattress that you can feel the springs through, and 1 slept on the floor on the pillows from the sofa. Other than that, although that was a major part of the price I thought I was paying for, the hotel was clean and breakfast had a good variety. If you drive, they only have $50 a day valet parking. The manager waived that fee for our trouble. The room was $270 for the one night. We only needed it to sleep as we were coming downtown to see a concert and didnt want to have to drive home late at night.
Yuck
Only issue was roaches in the bathroom and kitchen area.
Staff was nice, breakfast was good, hotel just needs a face lift! Not many restaurants and bars close, but all in all a good stay!
Very Nice
Loved this hotel. Clean, nice amenities, good breakfast selection, comfortable nice hotel.
The breakfast room was spacious. The sofa bed in the room was not working. Front desk was called and they delayed in responding. In the end they couldn't provide a bed to replace the non-working sofa bed and we had to sleep on the bare floor. The shower knob was not user-friendly.
Courteous staff
Great location
There were a few hiccups but overall it was a great stay and convenient to my client
Houston
Great service and welcome at check in. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff friendly. The suite had everything you need for a stay with great self catering facilities. Room very spacious if a little dated but still excellent VFM. We would stay here again
was good
Staff was very friendly/helpful. Room was nice.
Everything was really good
Everything Was Nice!!
Property was very clean, totally impressed with the room. Reserved queen size room very large has a built-in kitchen. The front desk staff was excellent. Walking distance to Minute Maid Park. Definitely recommend and will stay here again.!
Goog
Rooms was clean but very outdated. Looked liked something from Addams family. If I was not with a group then I would’ve gotten a hotel elsewhere. Smallest tv ever. Tv was far from bed so makes your eyes hurt because it’s so small to see. No USB cord. No smart tv. We in 2023. Please keep up with the updates.
Perfeect staff, location, clean :)
Very helpful at check-in. Not much around for food nearby.
The location was perfect. We were in walking distance to good dining and entertainment options. I also appreciated the ease of access to public transportation (trolly, uber, etc.) I do wish that downtown Houston had more convenience store options in the immediate area. It would have been nice to be able to grab snacks and drinks from a place outside of the hotel without having to jump in an Uber.
Walking distance to the Toyota Center.
I was not impressed with the check in time. Arrived close to 6 PM and had to wait several minutes for a clean room but was lucky because some of the guest had been waiting for at least an hour. The shampoo conditioner and bodywash dispenser were empty. The hot water doesn't last very long. Overall it was a nice hotel and walking distance to the Toyota Center to watch the Rockets game. I'd considered staying there again for the price.
Very good stay
Loved the service
In general I liked just about everything just the parking was whaI didn’t like other then that everything was good..
Great stay at residence inn!
It's been awhile since I stayed at a residence inn. Forgot how nice it is to have the bigger room and the feeling of an apartment after a long day of work. Didn't use the kitchen but everything looked new and clean. Stainless steel appliances. Everything I needed for a four-day business trip to houston. Would definitely stay again.
The room was a kitchenette style and it was set up perfectly. Had all the utensils, dishes, pots and pans. Just like home, nicely thought out and thorough. Everything but the food😂 The coffee maker was much to be desired. It didn't brew the coffee hot enough for my taste.

Not worth the price
Dirty carpets, poor maintenance, same breakfast each day and not bad, but… Every day the same thing. Not worth the price. Parking $60 a night.
