This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The view was perfect looking into the harbor, and the room had a large bath tub which was important to me. Staff was perfect and professional and pleasant. I Love This Hotel !
Connection with exhibition centre
Excellent service
Great views
Loved my experience. Hotel was overall very good. Only issue I had was my experience with the elevators. They could take very long and a lot of time wasted waiting for them at times. Thank you

Great services
Nice hotel, great view. Good location
good
The room was clean with daily cleaning done thoroughly. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. However, as is common with many hotels, there were times when it took a while for the elevator to arrive, depending on the time of day, so it’s best to plan with some extra time. (That said, I would prefer staying on a higher floor and waiting for the elevator rather than being on a lower floor and unable to board due to overcrowding.)
Accesible
Great location, one full hotel
Elevators after 10 years still not adequate. Old software. Executive lounge so crowded could not seat down Ran out of food. Benefits of executive lounge not worth the money
It was a wonderful property! I hate giving it 3 stars but you would have to wait up to 15 minutes to use an elevator at some points during the day. That is the only reason I’ll never stay at the property again
The hotel is part of the convention center. It is located right by the water and the harbor view room was great. Easy walk to stores and hotel had 3 great restaurants. Highly recommend
Recommend
convenient for attending trade fair
It wasn't as we expected as the hotel advertising.
The ocean view has some best scenery. However, if you want to see the iconic Hong Kong skyline, you’re on the wrong side of the harbor. The area is convenient with multiple public transportation options. The room is bright, clean and well maintained, but the hotel need to pay attention to the nooks and crannies The bathroom curtain was broken and the rail gunked up. The bath room exhaust was not functional. Overall good experience.
Property is very nice and conveniently to all the ferries and breathtaking view of Victorian Harbor view.
Elevator can take some time
Excellent
Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise room fine but no internet plugs.
Excellent room overlooking thrle bay, wonderful breakfast
very comfortable
Nice hotel, good location, enjoyable stay. Decent gym, pool ( closed on last day of our stay). Elevators were slow
Centrally located safe clean
Check in
check in time was not at 2pm as indicated on the booking. I was not able to get a room until 6pm
We booked a 4 days 3 nights stay at this hotel for attending friend's wedding. But it was a disappointment for a 5 stars hotel. We were given a room on the lowest level (level 12th). Room felt like it's for employee flat rate room. Toilet amenities were not in good condition. Shower bar, vanity mirror, shaver plug area was shaky. An ant was spotted on the window ledge inside the room on the first day but we thought it's a minor issue, but we were wrong, more ants and pests appeared at coffee bar area on the last night (videos available). Have also encountered a cockroach about 3cm in size at our door when returning on the 2nd night. We've also spotted some insects on the bedsheets right before we check-out (photo available) Waiting time for lift is ridiculous! The system is so inefficient that you could wait 5 mins or more during non peak period and it could go up to 10 mins or more during morning and evening. Have never encountered such waiting time for lift at other hotels! Would recommend upgrading the lift system. Overall, our experience was not great and felt that the room is definitely not worth the price paid. Would not recommend this hotel. I could have gotten a much better room of a 4 star hotel with the price paid (~SGD$380/night)(~HKD$2280/night) Only good thing about the hotel is the location.
Take the stairs - it’s faster
Fix the lifts!!! Never experienced a hotel where you have to press every lift button on a single floor; Takes considerable time to get from ground to your room given lifts stop on every floor.
Great place to stay in Hong Kong! Room had amazing views and the facilities are awesome with good pool area. Also staff were very helpful and food was amazing
NOTHING TO NOTE.
I booked this room for a colleague. They had to change her room multiple times. The first room had a horrible odor and was dirty. The second room had a different odor. The third room was acceptable. Their room keys had to be replaced about 10 times because they stopped working after just a few minutes. All bathrooms in the building require a key card. The amenities are very limited. Marriott officially manages the property but your status cannot be used here and the standards for management are unclear. This place used to be better before COVID, but this trip was just a mess.
Central location. Front desk personnel are a bit overwhelmed most of the time. The line for checking in is usually long.
This hotel was spectacular. The property, view, clean, staff customer service exceeded my expectation. Wow thumbs up!!! I will come back again. Breakfast buffet was delicious. And room view was “out of this world”. This made my trip a memorable and love Hing Kong. So proud of you all for making me feel so welcome and comfortable. Great job!
For my purpose which was to attend event at HKCEC, this was very convenient since its within rhe same complex
Buffet is very good. 5 star service all around.
Can be better
The huge advantage the Renaissance has is the provision of access to the glorious Grand Hyatt pool at a price point far lower than the GH itself. This (with a late check-out offer to 4pm) made it a brilliant stay for a sunny weekend. Elsewhere the room was fine but the shower was too low for anyone 5’7 plus, refurbs going on to other rooms on our floor suggest the widespread replacement of bath/shower combinations with walk in showers which would be welcome. Breakfast is excellent, one of the best in Hong Kong, room service was underwhelming though, great presentation and service but a cumbersome trolley and bland food.
convenience
A very business hotel next to the exhibition centre. Breakfast can be very busy. Check out is at noon, which is great, albeit, when we were checking in, at 1145am, a huge crowd appeared to check out. The barristers at the nearby Arts Centre are good enough to make good coffee in a good NZ or Australian cafe.
To me, the hotel looks better on paper than it was to actuall be there. The room was comfortable. The view of the harbor was amazing. Turn down service was nice especially for giving us extra towels and water for an evening shower. The soundproofing is pretty lowgrade, frankly. I could hear my upstairs neighbors moving their chair around and we mistook the neighbor's doorbell for our own frequently. Also, I waited for 27 minutes for an available elevator to go to breakfast cutting my eating time down to about 30 minutes. I most likely will not stay again. But I recommend it for others who are more business minded or don't need to relax so much.
Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel is an excellent property, and a beautiful hotel with a professional well caring staff, who will meet all your expectations. This a great hotel, so don't give it another thought, and book it now! You won't go wrong. The Zalis Family, Harding Township, NJ, USA, aka 'El Garbancito Espanol'
Hotel in good condition; location excellent
The view is fantastic.
We had a fantastic stay. The facility is very well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the outdoor pool; amazing view of the bay!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View hotel. It’s located a block south of Victoria Harbour and offers amazing views of the harbour and Kowloon. It also offers easy access to the elevated walking platform, which has easy access to Wan Chai pier, subway station and the neighborhood of Wan Chai itself. You’re also between a half hour to an hour walk away from a lot of the main tourist areas in Central which is handy. And the food and service are impeccable.
Nice stay
This is our second time staying in the hotel. Like many guests mentioned, some rooms have a moldy smell, probably due to the humidity of the city and the lack of good ventilation. But the staff try their best to make things work. We were helped by Marco who set us up for a room without moldy smell. We also requested a dehumidifier sent to the room which made a huge difference. The cleaning lady is also very professional and nice. Too bad we didn't get her name to recognize her here!
Excellent buffet breakfast / The room is little too small for that kind of hotel / Could put some feltre on the chairs to avoid the disturbance when someone move chairs. Loved the view from the window.
Great
Nice hotel with awesome views. There is scope for improvement in the waiting time for the lifts and also on the check in and check out period as lines get quite long.
very nice hotel
Good location, nice people, good food.
Terrible front desk
Good hotel in a good central location. Would recommend that it is not cheap
This is the first time staying in this part of Hong Kong. It was very convenient to the MTR train system which is ever expanding. Also very walkable to areas around central and Wanchai
It’s a beautiful hotel. I will recommend to families and friends.
Convenient
Fantastic service - top class staff
I had such a fantastic stay in Renaissance, and could not recommend the hotel highly enough. Jacky on reception was so incredibly welcoming and made me feel so welcome, as well as giving me the best tips and advice on where to explore in HK. The rooms and views are beautiful, the location and amenities are excellent and service is top class. I will be sure to stay here again the next time I visit HK. Thanks to all, in particular to Jacky Chan.
Lovely hotel and the staff is very eager to please, and would be five start however we encountered a few that didn't speak any English. Not a problem, especially if the hotel is up-skilling staff, it was just that sometimes we had to ask a couple times for things. The rooms are generally nice if a bit tired in some (scuffs on the walls and furniture) and great shower. One of the best features is that the pool is one that is shared with the Grand Hyatt and is very nice (pool staff were also outstanding).
A pleasant stay.
As there was a convention, there was a queue checking in. Check in was smooth and the staff was helpful and pleasant. The room was very good with a sea view. The buffet breakfast had a very wide spread and the food was very good. The hotel is near the MTR and taxis are easily available.
Ideal location, excellent service
This hotel is conveniently located next to convention Center. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast buffet is Excellent.
Facility is a bit dated, e.g. the sink drainage is slow, but it still does not shy away from the friendly staff and 5 star service standards
We were happy with the hotel facility but will search next time for a hotel with jacuzzi but only because the water in the pool was cold
Unreasonable management
Had a taxi bill to be paid which I assumed could be done at checkout. Came back late after a customer event and could not get into my room. Turns out they blocked room access until I came to reception at 1am to pay taxi bill
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Very enjoyable stay with friendly, helpful staff
Great area
The hotel was of a high standard, however, there are signs of age, wear and tear, ie marks on the furniture and poor lighting. Generally a very pleasant stay, staff were all very friendly helpful and approachable, Concierge's were all very knowledgable. Good location great accessibility to Central and star ferry and 2 MTR stations are very local.

The service was top notch and excellent. The entire staff was very helpful with everything that I need. The rooms were exquisite with all the amenities.
Beautiful pool
Totally enjoyed my stay!
Food was nice. Hallways need to be clearer.
The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was warm and welcoming.
Best city stay in a long time
From the moment we arrived at the hotel every aspect of our stay was a pleasure. This made our very short stop off in Hong Kong a very memorable part of our longer holiday. We would not change a single thing about our stay. This great experience was in no small part down to the front desk team’s excellent service – every question and every interaction we had was easy and as frictionless as it could possibly be. We are definitely going back!
Very convenient and clean
Run down
Great location. Outstanding breakfast
Best stay ever
It was beautiful! ❤️
Great place!
The view from the room is unmatching. It is also close to the subway state. Enjoyed the coffee very much.
The cleanliness and the bed quality are superb! The services from the staff are excellent! Wide choices of good-rated dining options in the neighborhood within walking distance.
Nearby MTR
Upon arrival i was informed that i had 300 dollars credit for food and drink ‘per room per night’, i have this in writing. I didn't want to eat at the hotel so we spent the credit in the bar (scrupulously calculating the bill) At check out i was asked to pay for these drinks, which where wonderfully overpriced. I showed the piece of paper which states ‘HK$300 per room per night’ and the receptionist said that that was her colleagues mistake (she thought the offer was 300 per stay) and that I would have to pay for most of these unwanted drinks. I pointed out that this was a printed document, not something that another person had said, and was extremely clear. She offered me another drink, but did not want to cancel the charge. She kept saying ‘Im sorry.’ While she loaded up the card machine. I ended up paying so i didn't miss my ferry.
Hotel was great but for one important thing. The room was hot, musty and humid. It made the stay very uncomfortable.
They told us can cancel one night however they did not do so.
Excellent
We had an amazing stay at Renaissance. We travelled for business and the staff was just amazing at the hotel. Very accommodating and made our stay seamless. The pool facilities and sauna were great after a long day. Chef at the breakfast buffet ensured that we were well fed and Samuel Tsang at the concierge went out of his way to help with our luggage and load it up for our taxi to the airport. Looking forward to staying again!
.
Great harbour views
Great location with views of the harbour. Close to transport for ferry, bus and train.
Very good
Staff were great at dealing with a complaint
I was given an early check in which was nice of the staff. I had specifically booked the hotel for the pool and it was closed for the duration of my stay which I had not been advised of which I complained about. I feel Hotels.com should have informed me of this prior to booking. I would like to thank Eric, front office manager and Bernard the Navigator General for taking the time to deal with my complaint offering me a swim at a local sister hotel. The hotel is in a good location and the buffet at breakfast is very good. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This hotel definitely outdid our expectations. From the incredible view from our room overlooking Victoria Harbour, to the food at the Dynasty Restaurant and the convenient location for all of our needs, we will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great stay and great service!
Great location
Great location! Easy to find places to eat and shop. The room was very clean and quiet plus beautiful view of the sea and the harbour.
This was cancelled due to the area’s COVID restrictions. I couldn’t possibly review a business I did not use. I would however applaud the hotel for not charging me for the cancellation.
Amazing views of Harbour from hotel window, lots of extras in hotel room which added to the comfort of our two week stay. Staff were all pleasant, efficient and very helpful. One even helped me with a query on my health surveillance form which was over and above her duties and very useful to me. Check in and check out was quick, concierge service was excellent and the cleaning staff did a first rate job. I asked for an extra pillow and received it within minutes. Top class service from lovely people.
Quite happy with the room itself. Staff are a bit slow and passive. Overall above average
Excellent stay the room is spacious. I love the swimming pool and the lounge service is impeccable
