Fantastic location. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Perfect location.
.
We had a great stay and would definitely return for another when we come back to Rome!
Loved the rooftop view
Really enjoyed our stay. Great area, easy to walk to anything. Love the narrow cobblestone streets.
The location was great, the staff couldn't have been less interested and our room was on the ground floor and backed onto a lightwell with barely any natural light and we were woken early in the morning by the laundry machines!! If you book this hotel, AVOID THIS ROOM!!!
Tucked away in the heart of Rome, this place is a gem. A boutique hotel but without the bells and whistles. We had a hard time getting hot water, or water pressure. It was the most convenient and quiet location, incredible for walking all of the major attractions in Rome. Rooftop is very quiet and relaxing in the evening. Able to bring our own beverages and snacks to the rooftop, there is a grocery store across the street and two incredible restaurants. Location couldn’t be better.
Industrial Warm Italian Retreat
It Was A Fabulous Stay In This Masculine Modern Gem. Had A Split Level Room, A Loft Feel, Windows To Open Up The Space To Fresh Air And Light, Stunning Curtains, Bedding, Cloud Like Mattress, Lots Of Layered Lighting Options, Fantastic Shower Pressure, With Window As Well. I Was Actually Exhausted And Under The Weather, So I Stayed In The Whole Time, Afternoon Evening, And Morning... Went To The Rooftop Lounge At Dawn, To Enjoy The Peaceful Chirping Of Birds And Enjoyed The Expensive View. The Front Desk Was So Kind & Hospitable. Loved The Sitting Lounge And Social Room The Next Day, Enjoyed Tea and Fresh Italian Espresso Cafe Maker In The Room☕ This Was A Supurb Landing Spot In The City, Great For Walking Tour Of All Famous Sites On The Way To Train Station.
Great hotel, central, great place if you need to just rest!
The room was extremely small, right infront of a busy road where you can hear foot steps on top and garbage trucks at 5 am. The bathroom was so small you would turn the water off if you moved around in it. The worst part was me and my mother in law in separate rooms both got a rash from the sheets on our legs! Super unsanitary , do not reccomend. Also almost lost our flight due to staff misconfirmed our driver.
Convenient, great staff!
Staff was very helpful. Property was close to everything we needed.
Sur votre site, il dit qu’il y a des stationnements disponibles le stationnement le plus proche est à 13 minutes de marche
Hot room, square toilet with great location.
It was a fabulous location to restaurants, stores, hop on and hop off bus. About 15 minute walk to Vatican City. About zap minute walk to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Location is awesome. Con’s: Hot rooms and AC is so little you cannot feel it. Front desk gal came to look and said 20 is lowest it can go but felt like 30 plus all the time. Asked if someone can look at it again. Maintenance came. Turned it down to 18. Problem is only one vent above doorway and so small it doesn’t get to any of the bedroom area. Asked for a fan. They had one which helped to make the room like 25/26 but at least not 30. Guess we should have looked at building built in 1400 so should not have expected good air conditioning when it states air conditioned. Bathroom toilet is square. Most uncomfortable toilet seat ever. Outside terrace had a tub for two…..except no faucet (and was dirty anyways) so not useable. TV could not get wifi connected to hook up Netflix at end of night to watch a show. Link it, start downloading a show, then freezes and lose wifi. Only 3 channels on TV, two of which audio only. Rooftop bar is cute little area. Unfortunately the night we went up nobody there. When we we down to ask the bartender was sick. Still nice view from rooftop.
love it!
I would absolutely recommend this place and would stay again. The only caveat is that there is no breakfast available at the hotel. There are some very nice places to eat in the area, but breakfast options are very scarce, especially on Sunday. Otherwise, great room, great staff. Shout out to Vanessa!
Room was cool and quite mostly. Odd layout meant next to no natural light. Staff were very friendly. For the money it was acceptable
Great customer service
Great customer service . Staff made sure we were taken care of . We needed transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to cruise ship terminal . They used a reliable transportation service and made sure we had transportation , they even arranged our transportation even if we are staying at another hotel after the cruise . I was very impressed . The location was walking distance to a lot of restaurants & tourist attractions . Highly recommend !
On a nice quiet street. Very cool property and very friendly and caring staff. The shower was a little difficult to navigate with it being small and the door not closing. But otherwise a really great property.
My wife and I enjoyed our time there. We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel because we were in Rome, so we had a lot to do. However, we did like the hotel while we were there with only one issue. One night while we were attempting to sleep, we were awakened by a very loud couple in the room next door. They were obviously coming back to the room after a night on the town, but they did not pay much attention to the fact that they were very loud at 2:00 AM. We should have called the front desk, but we hollered that they needed to be quiet. Of course the drunk man became belligerent and threatening, but we were safely locked in our room, and soon enough the woman in that room quieted him down and they went to bed. The hotel is not responsible for that sort of thing, and we were partially to blame for the escalation. So, lesson learned, and we enjoyed the rest of our time there.
This hotel was clean. The staff were great! Fabrizio and Joanna were so very helpful. Walking distance to everything you need. All of the restaurants, shopping, churches and must see locations.
The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating and very helpful. The location is perfect - very close to restaurants and no more than a 25ish-minute walk to any of Rome’s sights. The property is a boutique hotel in an older building in Rome, so the walls are thin and you can easily hear people in the hallways. We were not in the room much during the day or evenings, so this did not bother us at all. The furnishing are nice and the bathrooms were lovely. Would happily stay here again!
very nice property and close to many shopping's and restaurants.
Wonderful hotel and great location. Everything was perfect, the only reason for the 4 stars is the tiny shower. It’s quite small even for normal sized people. The water spills all over the floor next to the toilet and door will not close properly. Other than that the room was clean, comfortable and the staff was the best part! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. If they have rooms with better showers, we would stay here again.
The property was located within close proximity to main attractions, it was renovated and they provided coffee and tea facilities which is not the norm these days. The staff were very attentive.
Well located. Staff is really nice !
A definite must to stay here and walk to all
Loved the Relais Orso! Can’t have a more perfect location if you want to just walk to everything. Only 5-10 min walk at most to each of the Vatican, Castel Samtangelo, pantheon, trevi fountain, Spanish steps. I thought the colosseum was going to be too far for a walk but in fact, only took me 15 min at only a slight brisk pace. From there, the Roman Forum is on the way back to the hotel so makes for a great single day outing. Staff was excellent. Location is quiet and very close to a million cafes and restaurants.
This is a great property just 2 min on foot north of Piazza Navona. I have stayed here many times and I think it’s the best value in Rome. The rooms are modern and clean, the hotel entrance has a lot of charm, and there’s a great sitting room/lounge area if you need a space to work.
A good place.
A nice place to stay not far from the Vatican and in walking distance of other attractions. Even though they do not serve breakfast, there are plenty of cafes around. View from the window is limited but Wi-Fi is fast for the most part, and AC/Heater works well.
Great location and staff
Really nice and caring staff. And the property is cozy and lots of old lovely finished
Good location, close to many attractions, highly recommend!the only thing i want to mention is the sqare toilet, not comfortable although looking modern
Very tiny room. Great location!
Very close to the main sites. Clean, great staff. Would recommend. Oh, the door easy to miss but you’ll find it.
really nice staff martina was great . loved the area . if i had a complaint it would be room size but all good
We had a good stay at Relais Orso! Martina was so helpful and always with a smile. This hotel was clean but somewhat dark. It was walkable to all sights in Rome and close to many good restaurants.
This property was absolutely amazing!! Right in the heart of Rome. It was so easy to walk to everything from the hotel. The rooftop terrace was amazing too. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be close to everything in Rome
Great hotel in a great area that is literally right where you want to be in terms of catching buses around the area.
This property is very well located in relation to major Rome attractions like Vatican City, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It also has excellent dining options nearby as there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
The area appears almost sketchy upon arriving .. and when heading toward the river, but if we had headed in the other direction, the area was nice. The hotel is in a convenient location to many city highlights. The hotel room was nice, but very dark. We were in the adjacent property entrance and the room had not windows and brick walls - making it very dark. And beware of the corners of the bed support -- you will stub your toe. We ended up putting a backpack on the corner. The bar/gathering space is very outdated with peeling wallpaper. It is not attractive or welcoming. On the positive side .. the rooftop bar was nice. We met a couple of other couples there one evening, and had a nice glass of wine before heading out that evening. The staff were all very, very kind. A plus is that the hotel offers laundry service!
Fabrezio was great to answer all my questions before we arrived and Maria was amazing once we got there She was so helpful with everything. The location was great, and the room was small but fine. Just an FYI: The shower was tiny!
I have stayed in this area twice now and love it. Close to many things but off the busy street and offers many little dining options and quick conveniences. The hotel was great. The rooms like most in Rome was small but modern and offered everything you needed. The only complaint is the washroom was very small and the shower was difficult to get in and out. Otherwise, excellent stay.
Beautiful place and within the vicinity of the city. Very hospitable staff. Apartment from the bathroom drainage, all was ok.
Hotel is in the center of Rome, you need less than 10 minutes walking to go somewhere. Also, people who are working in hotel were so nice and friendly.
Small bathroom Extra bed is not comfortable at all
LOVE this property. If your a couple and want a lux experience, this place is great . Cozy and has great A/C.
Super hotel and even my ground room floor was filled with light & felt safe for a woman traveling alone. The location is great -- wonderful historic street and easy to walk to everything, plus great restaurants, coffee & gelato nearby! The staff was lovely & arranged a car to take me to the airport. Wish I could have stayed longer!
Location location location
This was the perfect hotel for spending 2 days in Rome before catching a cruise ship. We saw all of the main sites in a see Rome in a day tour, walking 30 minutes to our meeting place near the colleseum and then walked back 18 minutes from its end at Vatican City. it is in the center of town very near Piazza Navona and many restaurants. We had a taxi feom the hotel to ceuise port d that went well.
Fantastic service, location, and amenities! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay. Having a simple breakfast bar would have been very nice
Our room was beautiful and the staff were very caring and on top of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!
The evening staff person who checked us in was incompetent. The morning person was pretty good. We loved being walking distance to the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and other sites.
The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean. It was also within walkable distance from most of the major tourist attractions in Rome.
Great hotel and comfortable stay
Had an amazing stay at this hotel! It is in a great location, walkable to all the major tourist areas. There are some great restaurants on the same street as the hotel. It's on a quiet, cute side room. I booked the the upgrade from the standard double room. However, the room and bathroom was large for a European hotel which was nice. The bed was comfortable and the room had working AC, which it's always common in Europe. The only thing to note is that you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms. Like every word if people are speaking louder than the norm. But this didn't really bother us. We slept with white noise on so it masked any noise. Check in was easy and the receptionist offer some great restaurants recs that we checked out and they were all great! I would recommend this hotel to any traveling to Rome.
I really liked how it was centrally located to historical sites of the city. There are multiple cafes and restaurants within a very short distance. Great location!
This location is very close to the activities you can walk to Vatican City and use the hop on hop in bus and tour the city, and shopping centers and the metro is very close
Great location. Room is tiny and certain things either did not work or needed repair. The staff did not address our concerns and we just had to deal with it for the few days we were staying there.
The staff were fantastic. The hotel is located in a great spot, central to everything. Quaint little hotel which was very comfortable. It could be a little noisy, but not too bad. Would recommend.
Great location but soundproofing was horrible!!!
All was good. Great staff 24/7. Would stay again.
Superb location with awesome staff!
Located on a quite laneway, but so close to everything. Roof top bar was excellent. Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience.
Maria and the entire staff were very accommodating, very pleasant and always there when we needed them. They made our experience a wonderful one.
Room was very cramped, dark and dingy. Bathroom was very cramped and the sink didn't drain well. No place to hang towels or let clothes dry. Wi-fi did not work well at all.
They were extremely helpful in allowing us to stow our luggage as we got in well ahead of our scheduled check in. This let us enjoy Rome without lugging around suitcases. Also helped us resolve an unexpected issue that popped up with class & efficiency. Bravo.
Lovely stay at Relais Orso. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean, in a great location and all amenities were as promised. The only thing that needs an update is the mattress In the room/two single mattresses pushed together to make double. Other than that, a great hotel, we would definitely return. Thank you.
Excellent location
I did not like the layout of the room, the fact that the shower tub is next to the bedroom.
I have never experienced a more helpful hotel staff than Relais Orso. Not only is the hotel an adorable, clean, and cultured, but a phone call away for advice when traveling the city and help when needed. Desk staff is kind, sweet, and willing to do anything needed to make your stay enjoyable. The great restaurants that sit feet away are a bonus too (and rooftop bar).
Great staff, great location. The shower is a bit small however
Kindness and availability of the staff
It’s rome, let’s start there. Nothing is easy building wise for any business to develop with comparable North American amenities. But the room we got needed some help none the less. Sink (even though being made of porcelain) had a bow in it, so it would never fully drain. Shower glass door was falling off, and when you took a shower the water would go on the floor unbeknownst to the user, leaving a swimming pool waiting to be discovered. And the AC was best described as an old woman waving her hands through a vent, making the regular 34 degree Celsius days that much more degrading. That being said, the property is in a fantastic location food wise, location wise and the staff are extremely helpful.
Room was very nice, they let us check in early, helped us with checking process, very flexible, excellent service from staff, very welcoming. Although the room was small, it was clean and very well maintained.
100% Recommend
Staff were wonderful, room was clean and location was perfect! 100% recommend this hotel if you having a few days in Rome and want to be walking distance from all the main attractions and bars/ restaurants. The rooftop is lovely too!
As a solo female traveler this was a wonderful stay! Staff were so sweet, the room was tidy and attractive and the neighborhood is perfect. A great place to stay for a few nights!
The staff is amazing! Overall ver satisfied with both the hotel and the location! Thanks a lot 👏
Wonderful place to stay to see all of Rome!!
We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, the hotel was chic. We loved the roof top!! The service was amazing. The bed was a little hard for my taste, the toilet was square so not as comfy as I’m use to. Otherwise a perfect place! Thank you for an amazing time.
Nice and Clean Little Hotel
The hotel staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. They are small though but the location is amazing. Just a few minutes walk from a lot great spots.
A cool little hotel in a charming area of Rome close to the Piazza Navona. The only drawback was having to listen to the couple in the next (adjoins door) room have loud passionate sex. I would ask for a room with no connecting door next time - but otherwise a lovely experience.
Relais Orso
The staff were amazing and location probably the best in Rome. Surrounded by beautiful restaurants and bars, I cannot recommend the Relais Orso enough!!! 5 star!!!💥💥 Me and my wife will be back as soon as we can!!!😎
Couple city break
Relais Orso is a great place to stay for a few days in Rome. It is a really central location and within a 2 minute walk to the Piazza Navona and a 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps/Pantheon. The Colosseum is a short taxi ride and costs around €8, there is a taxi rank just around the corner. The room itself was modern and spotlessly clean, with housekeeping changing the sheets etc everyday and adding fresh toiletries. It also comes with a nespresso machine in the room which is a nice touch. We stayed in August which had highs of 37 degrees so the aircon was a great help. The hotel has a bar in the foyer and a rooftop bar however they weren’t open during our stay. The rooftop is still available to bring your own drinks up to if you wish and it has great views of the city. Upon check out the staff were happy to keep our cases all day too which was helpful. My only fault of the stay was the mini fridge, as it kept flicking on and off so we weren’t able to keep our drinks/water chilled. Apart from that everything was perfect.
Place and location was great (<10 min walk from Vatican, <25min walk everywhere else) Highly recommend visiting Lagana’s or Papa’s cafe while you stay... Staff works to accommodate your every need.
Great location! One negative is if you are on the lower floor you could be disturbed by the street noise
Awful experience. Cold room, no extra blankets available, useless staff
Rome Gem
Great low key place in a terrific location! Very close to everything within walking distance. Cool rooftop bar to chill after a day of sightseeing.
We had a great three night stay at the Relais Orso. Loved the charm of this small boutique hotel, located in a quaint little street within walking distance to many of the sites. The rooms were comfortable. We only wish it would have offered breakfast!
Roof top bar was nice. Convenient and close to everything within walking distance.
Amazing staff. for a 600 year old building, you can expect to see renovation chalenges yet they pull it off. I've seen much worst and I've seen much better. Location is amazing. very close to the Vatican and other landmarks. Dusting seems to be a challenge yet overall, We will probably return to this hotel. Did I mention how amazing and friendly the staff was?
It is very central to historical Rome and easy to walk around.
In a very central area , close to major attractions Very helpful and pleasant staff . Beautifully renovated and immaculately clean. Plenty of restaurants with excellent food within short walking distances. Close to the hop on hop of buses, Vatican, Trivoli Fountain. Spanish Steps . A roof top bar with views of Rome and lovely atmosphere .
Nice small boutique hotel centrally located in Rome. Rooms were a very good size and in very good condition.
nice apartments.
The hotel is not so cheap, but the location is great, our junior suite room was big, but the facilities and the cleanliness are not so good, it's not a hotel more like Appartement , no breakfast, rooms are in quiet place.
Loved the rooftop. Rooms fairly small. Especially the shower but nice and modern updates n great staff. Location in s cute private ally was wonderful.
The rooms were small, but super comfortable and unique. We used the rooftop bar every night as well as the sitting areas in the lobby. The staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel was in a great location and the room were perfect! Lovely rooftop terrace!!
Lovely place, extremely friendly staff. The location is just perfect. One little remark, few things need to be fixed in the jacuzzi 😊
Lovely hotel
Hotel was lovely and in a great location. It was about a 25 minute walk from the Vatican, Colosseum and the main station. The receptionist was super friendly. The room was modern and clean. We were looking forward to using the roof terrace but the lift was broken and roof terrace closed throughout our 2 night stay. We also had 3 pillows for two of us and when we asked for an extra one they said that they’d run out - we thought this was a bit odd for a hotel. Other than this, we loved it.
Location location location. Never been to such convenient location in Rome. Close to almost everything by foot.
