Tout etait très bien. La chambre un peu petite mais très propre. Le siege ded toilettes était brisé. Le quartier était rempli d'itinérants et je ne me sentais pas très en sécuritépour le soir. Ça semblait un quartier défavorisé.
Found bugs in our bed. The staff on site are extremely rude and short. House keeping never came to our room.
It was walking distance from the colosseum (about a mile). The rooms were clean, but very very small. Our air conditioning went out one night and the front day staff was rude (you could tell they did NOT like Americans). Breakfast was okay. They will make you cappuccinos and pastries were good! Not a huge option of items but does the job.
Unfortunately this hotel needs major improvements. Our room door had no sound proofing whatsoever. As soon as someone walked in the hotel you could hear everything from people talking to footsteps, honestly everything. The door blocked out no sound whatsoever. The bathroom was generally clean but every time you flushed the toilet the smell of the drains came straight into the room and it was horrific. The lights kept flickering in the room, the bedding wasn't washed throughout our stay (there was a dirty mark on the bed sheet when we got there and it was still there when we left after 4 nights). There were some good things - the room was nicely presented, it had a nice decking area and the staff were nice. It is very safe to get into as you need to be buzzed in by staff from the front door. Generally fairly well located to the centre but also quiet. Generally poor though unfortunately and we won't be looking to stay here again.
This was our first time in Rome. The hotel is really cute, the rooms are nice, and the staff is so sweet. We enjoyed our stay here and would deffinitely stay again. Its on the outskirts of the city centre so its not touristy or crowded, and it's only a 5 min walk to the Metro.
Our experience was very pleasant. The staff was very attentive and friendly, especially Francesca, who guided and helped us from the moment we arrived. The place is nice and cozy, and the breakfast service was good. Thank you!
Perfect place to stay in Rome! Very close to most attractions, walking distance. Metro stop near the hotel. Staff very nice. Room extremely clean. Breakfast ok. Recommended
Clean place, friendly staffs with good services.
Wonderful staff. Great breakfast very nice room.
Cute little hotel close to metro station. Rooms were very small but clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
The staff was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was easily accessible, clean and very good and the neighborhood was extremely convenient. The only negative we found was a sewer gas smell coming from the bathroom that was pretty intense. As long as you kept the bathroom door closed and the bathroom door open it was tolerable. Everything's else was perfect!
The staff is great!
All staff were very friendly. The facility is very clean and breakfast and cappuccinos are a must! The Coliseum and Forum are walking distance, but if you’re not the biggest fan of walking the subway station is located just around the corner. You MUST go to Trattoria Pizzeria Porta Maggiore just a 10-15mins walk away for the best Spaghetti Carbonara.
Suitable for one night, however, we could hear all the conversations outside the room, as the walls are not insulated at all. The hotel is clean and offers a free breakfast. I recommend it for a one-night stay near the train station.
Relais Manzoni is a hidden gem in Rome! Situated 5 minutes from Manzoni Metro station it has great links to the city and only 2 stops from Roma Termini. The staff are excellent, allowing us to store our bags prior to check in then quickly taking us to our room on our return. The room was spotless and well equipped with everything you may need for a stay. The hotel is very compact but every inch of space has been utilised! Breakfast was a well stocked continental spread with coffee made to order on the terrace. Would recommend this hotel and hope to return soon!!
👍
Nice room and bathroom. Breakfast included. Staff was friendly. Location close to subway but area seemed a little sketchy but it’s hard to tell in Rome.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, location was quiet but still close to a subway station, the only issue was the rooms were a little small. Other than this, no issues at all.
Terrible. Do not stay here. Rooms are tiny. Private terraces are not private at all.
First day cleaning not complete until 2:30 pm so we have to wait to enter our room Second day we left at 12:45 pm and we were notified that there will be no room service because we left the room late. No knocking or notification of room service while we were there.
Lady at the reception and breakfast bar was lovely and very helpful, overall whole stay was really nice , however AC didn’t work it was more of a fan , as it would not cool room at all just circulate air
Nice staff. The TV did not work and they did not care to fix. Air conditioner was not working. It was being controlled to keep room warm. To far from attractions. Do not recommend
The owner was amazing as well as the staff. They were very helpful and polite my whole stay. They accommodated me having a guest which was an additional charge each night. Someone was available 24 hours if needed. Small downside for me personally were the mosquitoes in this area might just be do to the plants there. Also about 20 minutes from most main areas but quiet and perfect to stay here for the first time in Rome.
Friendly staff, we loved the breakfast and the surprise balcony, would have been good to have the single bed rather than a sofa bed and there were a couple of small cleanliness issues in the room but other than that very happy with our stay.
We stayed at this hotel for a very shorty stay. It was exactly what we required when doing the search. Walkable to the train station and walkable to the Colloseum. Room was clean, small but operational. Sky TV was a nice touch to watch the Olympics for a few min. Bathroom was the largest shower I had in Italy! Air conditioning was working perfectly which was required in August. Bed was comfortable. We had the main floor with a little courtyard sitting area. It wasn’t used but nice touch. Staff were friendly.
I would have let this go, cause I dont like writing negative reviews, but I hope this negative will make the hotel fix their issue and no one else have to give 2 stars in the future. 1-Front desk was friendly and helpful.. had issues about TV not working, addressed but was not fixed… . 2-Room was warm, felt like we were sleeping in a sauna. AC had 17’C but actual reading was 28-30‘C. I requested for a fan. they didnt have one. I could have opened the windows and have mosquitoes bite us. Have to choose your battles. 3 noisy - you can hear conversations from our room and then there was dog barking at night - not sure from where, but yeah, from the heat, the noise.. sure glad we left already. 4- Smell- there was a weird / garbage smell coming from the bathroom.
There was absolutely no staff to assist us for our needs. Nobody in the hotel was available to fix our non-operational TV. The reply of the front desk was "If I have time"! We were ask to check out at the unholy hour of 10:30 AM - right after breakfast. I regret staying in this hotel.
We visited Rome during summer months and it was 100 degrees outside. The Property claimed they had air conditioning when I booked the room, but our unit was merely a fan that blew minimal air. You have to press turbo every 10 minutes just to get any air pressure but it doesn’t last long. Our room was very hot, muggy and never felt comfortable in our 5 night stay. The staff attempted to convince us we just needed to give it time to cool off but it never did. I slept every night without sheets or blankets due to being so hot. The bed was stiff, pillows stiff and it was difficult to feel comfortable. Our bathroom sink was plugged up and despite attempts to get it fixed by staff, it remained plugged during our stay, which created a bad odor coming from the bathroom, resulting in the need to keep the door closed at all times. Breakfast options were limited, no variety at all. The hotel is not located in the best area, but it is close to the metro station which was helpful and is about a 15 minute walk away from the Colosseum. I would never stay here again, mainly because of the air conditioning problem.
Thank you to the entire staff at Relais Manzoni! Our stay with you was amazing. From the comfort of the rooms, yummy breakfast, convenient location with easy access to Metro and busses, to the friendliness and kindness of the staff (Emanuelle Ntogo, Roxana, and the other reception and housekeeping staff). We hope to return in the future! Grazie!
Pros There is a metro station 4 minutes walk away from the hôtel which is great and convenient They were very accomodating when we requested some water and a bottle opener AC works great The bed is super confortable and there’s lots of pillows Room was clean Breakfast was good, pastries cold cuts and boiled eggs Cons The duvet is not closed, it’s in between two sheets which we thought was odd/not the most sanitary There is no elevator but a lift which is pretty small and can be inconvenient Wifi connection has a lot of latency so might not be able to get good service There is a mini fridge but it was not cold inside The shower temp is pretty inconsistent and can get super hot or super cold, there is no in between
Relais Manzoni in Rome is a delightful boutique hotel that perfectly balances comfort and convenience. Situated near major attractions and public transportation, it offers easy access to the city's highlights. The rooms are elegantly decorated, providing a cozy and modern ambiance. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. While the breakfast is basic, it is served in a charming setting. The surrounding area can be a bit dirty, but the hotel's location still offers great access to Rome's main attractions. Ideal for travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
Great place to stay
Amazing staff and lovely stay! Highly recommend
Very Clean. Great service. Charming
Fantastic location!
We had a fantastic 3 night stay at this wonderful boutique hotel. We were there to see The Colosseum (20 minute easy walk) and The Vatican (3 minute walk to Metro plus 10 minute ride)......in other words a perfect location. Excellent restaurants within a 3 block radius, and a supermarket 1 block away. The hotel itself has been very nicely renovated, rooms are on the smaller side but everything you need is there. Newly installed elevator for those not wanting to take stairs (although you still have to go down a small flight to get to the lobby from the street level so may not be sutable for those with physical challenges), The rooms were always cleaned, and replenished daily. Breakfast is your typical Italian style, fresh breads, meats, cheese with yogurt and cereal. The ladies constantly replenishing and serving delicious coffees - always smiling and friendly. HUGE thank you to all the front desk staff that went out of their way daily to assist us. Luckily the location proved to be invaluable, when our departure day turned out to include a Taxi strike (a weekly occurance), so we had to take Metro and train to Fiumicino airport - easily managed as we only had to carry luggage the one block to the metro. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
This was a nice boutique hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very nice. I appreciated the breakfast. The only complaint we had was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. It was especially noticeable in the morning.
It is a small hotel with 11 rooms and very friendly staff 😀.
Good
As I arrived I didn’t have a good experience, the room was super small and the ac didn’t really work. Almost no toiletries. Breakfast was limited options. You can hear everyone talk and noises, meaning everyone can hear you. Expedia tax amount said a price and was charged a different rate at check out. The neighborhood is dirty and if never been to Italy can be scary at first.
The lady at front desk was really nice. The guy however, needs to work on his customer service. Beautiful place to stay.
Hotel is in nice area. Staff was helpful. Clean and comfy room.
Nice hotel 15-20 min walk from Termini train station & the Colosseum. Friendly staff, clean, attractive rooms. They had a wonderful breakfast area on 2nd floor every morning. Had elevator that didn’t seem to work at times. Also, mattress was a bit hard for our liking. Overall had a great stay.
Very nice breakfast service.
I stayed here in June 2023. When we checked in, the reception employee was friendly and spoke English well. They gave us the top room, but their tiny elevator didn't go that high up. So despite having an elevator, you have to carry your luggage up a few sets of stairs. The AC worked in the room. The fridge was defective and useless. The safe didn't work. The balcony was big, but it had little privacy. The room was pretty small, but fairly modern. The morning when we were checking out, the front desk staff member barely spoke any English. He tried to charge us another 200 Euros although I showed him the receipt of my payment in Canadian dollars through Expedia. I was only supposed to pay the few Euros of the City hotel tax, but this staff member was trying to scam me. I argued over and over with him, showed him receipts and credit card statements, this incompetent Italian scam artist idiot wouldn't budge. I told him I am willing to pay for the City tax and nothing else, but he refused. I told him you have a copy of my passport, call the police if you want. I then walked out. Spent more than half an hour arguing with this idiot who barely spoke any English, but claimed that he spoke it well. I ended up missing my train. I nearly missed my flight too, but I got lucky with that one. Avoid this hotel. It is hit or miss, you may get a nice guy or a stubborn and corrupt scam artist.
Had a great stay here, the staff are all very nice and helpful. Recommendations for nearby restaurants were excellent and breakfast on the terrace was handy every morning. Handy to get about Rome if you're happy to walk. There are no faults with this hotel and would stay again!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel for the most part. Highlights were the breakfast… I typically don’t eat much so it was the right amount for me. I had an espresso and cappuccino prepared by the staff which was quite delicious! A couple of downsides were no ice machine… temps were over 100f. Being disturbed when I had the do not disturb sign on my door. The were adamant they had to change the sheets. I totally understand but when they saw me at breakfast or even at check in this information could have been told then. Overall lovely hotel and staff. Very close to public transportation, nice restaurants, colosseum about 20 min walk. Definitely would stay here again!
quite
Excellent location near to metro. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Enjoyed my stay and would recommend, however I would stay in a different neighborhood upon returning to Rome. Facilities: clean room, good air con, good water and bathroom services, lovely complement continental breakfast, quiet location. The smallest hotel room over ever experienced in Europe. I expected small and this did not disappoint! 😂 Staff: friendly enough, only two staff spoke English, Daniele and Roxanna were delightful, do prepare some Italian. Location: quiet, safe, residential, near bus and train lines. No nightlife or tourist activities nearby, 15 minute bus or train to everything a visitor wants to see our do.
Great stay!
Very attentive staff, and always friendly.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained and clean. The location is great as it is very close to a metro stop, so getting into Rome was easy and also in walking distance with the colosseum. Good selection at breakfast. Stay was comfortable and stress free.
Elevator did not work, neighbors dog barks all the time. Photos and advertisement are not what seem very small shower was tiny beds very uncomfortable

I love the boutique style and how friendly the staff was
Amazing little boutique hotel , super little room with the most amazing , friendly helpful staff. Danielle recommended some local restaurants and some hidden treasures not found on the main tourist maps which were lovely treats. The room was spotlessly clean with a super powerful hot shower. Much needed after the long days visiting the sites. . Breakfast was lovely . We are so glad we booked relais manzoni as realy feel this little hotel enhanced our Rome minibreak
Thanks
Wonderful boutique hotel! A bit off the beaten path of tourist attractions but an excellent hotel.
It's a very good hotel with a terrific staff and an excellent location. Danieli was very helpful and courteous with us - and as far we could see with every single guest - which made our stay even easier and pleasured.
Excellent hotel. Top quality staff, friendly and helpful. Clean, smart accommodation. Great shower. Metro station nearby if needed but no more than a 20 minute straight walk to The Collosseum. At least 4 restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Excellent stay
Nice room, modern and clean. Good facilities and breakfast. Staff were lovely!
I liked the cleanliness, the quiet nature, and the coziness of my room. The breakfast items were varied and plentiful. The small courtyard at the back was private and enjoyable. Staff was very helpful.
Everything was great and the staff were very friendly. The location was perfect for us being able to walk everywhere and get across town easy with the train station right there. Very good restaurants nearby and just out of the tourist zone making it quite and giving us a sense of actually living there. You could smell the sewer a bit in the washroom or I would have rated the property full stars
It's a cute botique hotel with free breakfast. I stayed here last week and Rome was so hot. I checked in alone and they gave me a cute room with a small bed (just right for solo travelers) but a big toilet room/restroom. The only problem was that their toilet sit was so tall that my feet aren't even touching the floor (not sure why they built it that way). Also just a warning... there's not much nearby restaurants, only snack bars or small food stores. But if you'll mostly be outside on your tours, you can just buy some food for to go before coming back to your hotel. The subway train was also close which was great for me (1st time traveler in Rome). The front desk gave me a map and he showed me where the subway is and where are my stops. I really appreciated that he did this cause my phone data was gone for a day and all I relied on to be able to meet my 2 tour groups was the map he gave (glad I survived!). Overall, it was a great hotel for my 5 day vacation in Rome.
The staff on arrival were friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel is a small hotel and close to the Metro station, which is very convenient for getting to the historic centre. Ideal for a couple of days.
Cute boutique hotel
This is a lovely little hotel a bit further out from the big tourist sites but within walking distance from the main train station (about 20 mins) and close to a metro station. My room and the whole hotel looked newly renovated with good taste and some nice details. Loved the airy breakfast area with a good selection and really nice coffee (!), which was open from 7 to 10, and the little roof balcony my room had. Overall I thought this was really good value for money.
Awesome staff! Cute and modern spot. Only thing is its very small but that’s it!!
Nette kamer, ietwat gehorig. Simpel ontbijt, had wat gevarieerder gekund (geen zuivel of fruit) maar zeker voldoende. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Cosy. Close to metro. Some days a bad smell of sewer. Boring breakfast. Friendly staff.

Great hotel with pretty good breakfast. Few minutes away from a metro station or about a 15-20 min walk to the main train station. Great dining options nearby. The rooms were smaller than expected and I heard footsteps through the door along with other conversations.
