Lovely Location

Lovely location. Probably not a great time to visit as very quiet.

Very nice old castle. Amenities were a little too Old and scarce. We liked it very much but it was not worth the price. Staff was very friendly, dinner excellent and breakfast very nice

Nice stay

Very nice hotel, with unusually large rooms. Dinner was rather ordinary, but then we were both vegetarian and we may have caught the chef unprepared.

Excellent property, very attentive staff, decent restaurant (wines are a bit overpriced), quiet rural surrounding. Very pleasant stay overall.

Beautiful castle in non-descript town

The hotel is beautiful, in a castle. The hotel staff were kind and helpful, making a reservation for us at the 1-star michelin restaurant in town. We were in a room with more modern decor that seemed out of place in the old castle, but it was comfortable and huge. The only real downside is the location. Oviglia doesn't have much. So I would recommend staying here as a base for going out to wine country or a stop on a longer journey definitely, just not for a cute Italian country town.

Good for 1-night stay, without a wedding!

Stayed 4 nights, too long in such an isolated town with no local attractions. Staff were charming. Food was good. Room was huge. Bathroom was not well cleaned. Unfortunately, there were two weddings on successive nights, and the "music" (noise) went till 2am and was awful. We were given our last meal gratis in recognition of how disturbing the experience had been.

Beautiful, but a little off the beaten path

The hotel was magnificent and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The only drawback for those just passing through is that it is a little distant from the town of Alessandria (about 14 km) but their graciousness and the beauty of the facility and grounds quickly made up for that taxi ride. Everything was pristine and the restaurant was 5 star. I would go again but plan for a little more time to get to know the community.

A lovely overnight

Got off a plane from NYC and needed to find a quiet place for our first evening. The hotel was small and the staff helpful. Had a great dinner in an intimate setting. Nothing much happening in the small town but he room was comfortable and air-conditioned and the food was great. Being in a small castle for the night was fun.

Relais del Castello di Oviglio - a real castle

Not easy to find - need a car to get there, a genuinely old castle - a little dark; huge clean rooms with modern bathroom equipment, some though already needs repair; good breakfast buffet, very friendly staff

Très bel endroit avec un joli jardin extérieur, nous avions la meilleure suite du Château bel espace mais très déçu de la propretés des lieux,des punaise partout dans notre suite, et déçu par le manque de confort des lits et de la literie.Le buffet du petit déjeuner très restraint. La nourriture du restaurant de l hôtel était fade pas beaucoup de choix sur la carte, le pain était sec et dur, les gressinis aussi mauvais et le restaurant à couté cher on attendait mieux d un 4 étoiles.

Delusione totale

Il soggiorno presso questa struttura é stato un’amara delusione. Innanzitutto il prezzo é esageratamente alto per la qualità offerta. La camera, che dovrebbe essere una junior suite, é una delle più brutte in cui io abbia mai dormito. Camera fatiscente con arredamento obsoleto a angusto. Lo sconsiglio, non fatevi ammaliare dall’idea di dormire in un castello.

Affascinante castello ristrutturato in posizione calma e tranquilla. Personale estremamente gentile. Ottima colazione. Esperienza da ripetere e assolutamente consigliabile.

Petit Chateau Plein de Charme, au calme

Chambre immense et très agréable avec petit salon grande salle de bain tout confort lit kinggsize ,calme et environnement très reposant :la vie de château ! Un bon petit déjeuner pour couronnerreur le tout Parfait !

2 notti in suite. Camera enorme anche se per essere una suite mancava qualcosa. Era un pò spoglia.

Belle étape pour une nuit

Ce château est une belle étape dans le Piémont mais isolé Accueil parfait ( mais il n'y avait que 2 chambres d'occupées ) Notre chambre était une suite junior immense avec une décoration design très élégante La salle de bain équipée d'une baignoire avec hydro massage certes mais il manquait une douche L'éclairage de lachambre faisait défaut car plusieurs ampoules n'existaient plus mais on arrivait quand même à voir toutes les toiles d'araignées ..... Nous avons dîné à l'hôtel devant un feu de cheminée l'apéritif nous fut offert et le dîner fut savoureux et très copieux ( cuisine simple mais de qualité ) Le petit déjeuner était tout aussi copieux et varié En bref ,très bonne étape à un prix très correct hors saison mais me paraît trop cher en pleine saison

Family weekend trip

We stayed just for one night on our weekend roundtrip. The hotel was really nice! We arrived quite late, but still had a chance to have a great dinner at the hotel, and breakfast was also good. Hotel staff was really friendly. So, all in all, excellent stay!

Nice for transit

As we are driving car from Florence to France. This is a very nice transit place for a night. The town is very small. The hotel is a castle, our room in third floor is large and modern but with some old crossbeam on the ceiling. The dinner is also delicious. We arrived at Saturday night, there is firework in the midnight.

En historisk overnatning

Vi havde en enkelt nat på "slottet" - og bestemt udenfor sæson (medio januar). Tror vi var de eneste gæster. Vi blev godt modtaget, men opholdet blev præget af en fornemmelse af et historisk monuument, der i al sin fordums storhed, mest virkede forladt. Tror bestemt, at vi ville have fået et andet indtryk en sommernat eller hvis vi havde besøgt stedet til et stort selskab!

Castello che diventa hotel

Sono stata in questo hotel lo scorso fine settimana insieme ad una coppia di amici. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, magari potrebbero migliorare l'arredamento e la cura dei particolari. Personale gentile e disponibile. Buona colazione con una discreta scelta sia nel dolce che nel salato.

Charme al Castello

Brevissimo soggiorno con tema enogastronomico, non poteva capitare sistemazione migliore, personale cortese, premuroso, famigliare. Grandissime camere arredate con gusto, atmosfera quasi da fiaba. Unico limite la temperatura un po' elevata nelle camere

Flot historisk bygning

Et sted hvor vi fik en fantastisk service lige fra vi kom og forlod stedet og rigtig godt køkken. Værelserne er store og herskabelige og der mangler intet. Så vi kan kun sige godt for stedet.

schönes Schlosshotel mit schöner Parkanlage

der Aufenthalt entsprach unseren Wünschen. Nachtessen gab es allerdings erst ab 20h. Treppensteigen verlangt eine gewisse Kondition. Eignet sich nicht für längeren Aufenhalt.

Great service

We stayed one night at the hotel and received great service in combination with a very understanding attitude when we realized we had made a booking on another date than planned. The room was in great condition with furniture of great quality. We also ate dinner in their restaurant and it felt like being at home at the same time as being at a very good restaurant at the same time. Breakfast was also very good. I can really recommend a stay when passing by Piemonte!

Très beau château et excellent restaurant

Très beau château, grande chambre très confortable, un accueil vraiment chaleureux et professionnel. Le petit-déjeuner est extra, et je vous recommande aussi de dîner au château, la cuisine est de grande qualité, les vins italiens de la région sont très bons. Le parc du château est agréable. Bref je le recommande.

Toppenhotell på landsbyggden

Häftigt gammalt "slott" som funnits där sedan 800-talet och nu är ombyggt till hotell med några få rum som är bland de största jag sett om man inte bokar en svit på lyxhotellen. Lite olika styling på rummen med 6 meter i takhöjd och 60-70 kvadratmeter att röra sig på bryr man sig nog inte om man hamnar i fel århundrade. Frukost var ok, men det är typiskt för hotell med få rum (få gäster) de kan inte handla in en massa mat och sedan slänga den. Rekommenderas, bara att boka - om du har bil och kan ta dig dit.

<cercavo un posto romantico e alternativo per festeggiare un compleanno a sorpresa...e direi che la sorpresa e' stata molto gradita,il tutto contornato da uno staff attento e disponibile.

Pernottamento di una notte

Complessivamente una struttura affascinante e piena di storia. Vi sono delle piccole problematiche di manutenzione (vasca idromassaggio rotta, un lavandino su due poco funzionante).

Reserver aldrig i en week-end

Vi havde set frem til et dejligt ophold med god mad i den Michelin-anbefalede restaurant. Da vi ankom lørdag eftermiddag konstaterede vi at der skulle være stort bryllup og at restauranten derfor var lukket. Bryllupsfest til kl. 2.30 om natten, ikke meget søvn. Bryllupsfest også om søndagen til kl. 2.30 og nu var det slet ikke sjovt mere.

Underbart romantiskt hotell/slott

Fantastiskt ställe när man väl hittar dit! Maten är god och servicen toppen. Rummet var rent och stort (!) och badrummet fräscht. Omgivningarna är ganska tråkiga men i övrigt var allt toppen för en romantisk övernattning!!

100% Zufriedenheit

Super Erlebnis in einem Schloss mit sehr grossen Zimmern, neuen Badezimmern. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück im Schlosskeller. Lage auf dem Lande in einem sehr kleinen Dorf. So wie man es sich wünscht. Würde sofort wieder buchen!

Herskapelig luksus!

Fantastisk hotell som virkelig gir deg følelsen av hvordan de kongelige må ha hatt det i sitt slott! Utrolig atmosfære når porten glir stille igjen bak deg og du kjører bilen opp til slottet.. hentet rett ut fra eventyrene! Vi ble mottatt av personalet ute på gårdsplassen og ønsket velkommen med et håndtrykk og varme smil! Personalet tok bagasjen og vi ble geleidet til rommet vårt i 4.etg med fantastisk utsikt over landskapet og den lille byen som omkranser slottet. Etterpå satt vi oss ned i den stille hagen og nøt et glass prosecco mens vi lyttet til fuglene som sang. Vi valgte å spise middag i hotellets restaurant som virkelig var i en klasse for seg! Anbefales!

本物の古城に泊まる

落ち着いた田舎町にある本物の小さな古城です。部屋の広さ、天井の高さ、にもビックリでした。シャワーやジェットバスのメンテナンスに若干の難はありましたが、建物全体の古城としての本物観は素晴らしくまさにロマンチックホテルです。朝食もまるで映画セットのような城内のダイニングで美味しいハムとパンにカプチーノをいただきました。このホテルに泊まること自体を十分に楽しめるホテルです。また、門を出てすぐのところにはミシュランの星持ちリストランテDnatellaがあり、都会では味わえないアットホームな感覚で美味しい地場料理をお手頃な値段でいただくことができます。ホテルスタッフの対応もフレンドリーで好感が持てました。とても良い思いでとなったお勧めのホテルです。
