Good location and good customer services
Great experience staying at the Regent. Service was excellent and very welcoming. Taxi service very convenient. Mattress seemed firm but I slept great. They were doing construction during the day a few floors up but it was hardly noticeable apart from the first day when we were napping due to jet lag.
Overall service is top notch. Staff did notice during the time of stay was my birthday, and even sent me a birthday cake. Will definitely stay again !

Best property and great breakfast selections. Will be back. Many Thanks, J
This property is generally great, is just that on the first day the wi-fi and the TV is not functioning properly, also on the first day the check in is abit slow and things is not explained clearly on my check in day, for a five star hotel that is not ok. Other than that other staff on the front desk are great answer all my questions clearly and politely thank you for that!
Well trained staff that provides 5-star customer service. Had to change rooms due to a strong foul odor.
I have been staying at this property for years the staff and services are amazing they make you feel welcomed
Problems with the Regent
I am not sure what to say about this hotel-in general, this is an upscale, older, but very well-maintained property. The interior design and features are quite sophisticated and are deserving of a five-star status. Having said that though, the main problem we encountered with this hotel was the original check in and room assignment. We had a booked a room with a balcony and a nice city view. When we checked in, they assigned us a room with a view of two very dirty buildings in the background of a construction site. There was an active crane and work going on right outside of our window, which was very, very unpleasant. We returned to front desk, confronted them with this, and finally were able to have a front desk manger help us. To her credit, she was able to get us a much more suitable room assignment. So everything ended well, but we were left with a concern about the business ethics and intent of a seemingly upscale hotel which was willing to assign a balcony room with a marketed nice city view to us, when in reality the room looked directly out on to a construction site. For the money, I think there are probably much better options for your travel accommodations in Taibei, and would recommend against this hotel.
Good location, friendly staff
The service is outstanding! Every service man/woman was well trained and attentive to our needs including the ones in the lobby and the ones in the lounge. We arrived early in the morning and we had to wait in the lounge before we can check in to our room. They served us tea at a table with a beautiful window view. Also, our room was ready in no time. This hotel has demonstrated an outstanding customer service throughout the 4 nights of our stay. We will definitely return again.
Showing its age
The Regent is a high end property attached to the Regent Galleria (Chanel, BV, LV, Chaumet etc.) The service is impeccable and efficient. What I quarrel with is the rooms. They are dated and need a serious makeover—new carpet, furniture etc. The buffet at the Brasserie is over the top but delicious.Would I stay again? Only if the Regent takes itself seriously.
Well maintained and managed hotel, centrally located with conveniences to shopping and all activities.
Still use key to open door.
nice stay
We love the place. Everything you want is right in the area. Definitely going back there with our kids next time.
I was glad that I've booked into Regent's Taipan club king room with club facilities over CNY because many eateries and shops were closed. We were happy to eat and drink at the Taipan lounge on the 19/f from 7am to 10pm on CNY eve and CNY 1st day. They offered free flow of wine and spirits in the evening so it was great value. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in Taipei.
We had fantastic and memorable time at Regent Taipei. The staffs were so kind to the customers, especially Yuki and Jenny from Taipan lounge, since arrival they welcomed us with lovely smile and assisted us with everything! And Jasmine from Robin’s Grill, we had amazing meal (I highly recommend this place). From their amazing customer service, we will definitely come back this year! The room was amazing and neat as well! Thank you so much and Happy New Year!
Great location and good service
Beautiful property in a great location with all the amenities you could want. Truly a luxurious haven.
For the price and how big the room is I suppose it’s fair, but the quality is def not there anymore. Very outdated, pictures look better than they appear. However the entire staff were 5 star! U just gotta lower ur expectations bc what you are paying.
Incredible hotel! Will stay again.
Room light is bit dark and the smoke detector light blinks distracting sleeping
Very understanding and helpful staff
Too crowded
Great hotel but when it’s totally packed it’s a nightmare. Doors slamming every 30 seconds, guests shouting and spitting in the spa.
Friendly services and quiet rooms. Good to feel relaxed
The Regent was in a great area, very close to the Zongahsan metro for the Red and Green lines which can take you to most of the major sites in Taipei. There are 2 7/11's next to the hotel and a laundry a 5 minute walk away (we did 2 full loads washed and tumble dried for the price of 1 pair of underwear at the hotel - just saying!) There are loads of restaurants, fast food places, shops and bars. The hotel itself is very nice for Taipei, but not as good as a 5 Star you'd get in another country. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was nice and we had a view of Taipei 101. We also got little stockings on christmas morning on the door filled with sweets, which was super cute. We did find it very very busy as the hotel was in its own sort of shopping mall. I have never seen a hotel with so many people in the lobby day and night. We were never sure of what part of the foyer/restaurant was the bar to just have a drink as the area was massive and not easy to work out what what what. We never used the gym or pool and usually I would always use the gym, but you had to go down in the normal elevator to the lobby and then change elevators and walk down several flights of stairs to get to the fitness centre. Because the elevators were always busy and had people in them, it felt really awkward to get into one in gym kit and then walk through the lobby to the next elevator/stairs. Coming back up all sweaty would have felt even more awkward. Would I stay again? Maybe!
This is a very nice hotel. You get what you pay for, which is a lot! It has everything. And for a luxury hotel, it’s actually still a good deal. It’s a great neighborhood, the amenities are top-notch, and it seems like a perfect spot for all sorts of travelers. I can’t think of anything that it’s missing. There were solo travelers, couples, families with children, and plenty to do. The rooms are large and the staff is on point. Zero complaints here.
Amazing property!
Love it
Excellent hotel
Business trip
I've stayed at this property many times and I like it the rooms are comfortable it's a very stylish hotel and the food is excellent this time I had access to the lounge on the 19th floor which was nice to have that privacy and comfort and quietness to eat breakfast and not the rush of the buffet downstairs which can get quite busy
Beat expectations!!
I will recommend this to my friends. It’s a nice a comfy hotel. I will come back next time.
Amazing experience
The room was spacious and staff was attentive and very helpful!! Would stay here again!!!
Above any expectation
Fantastic hotel. Above any expectation. Breakfast buffet is like I have never seen before in any other 5 star hotel. Staff is very attentive and cleanliness and comfort everywhere.
.
Hotel is nice despite it's not a new hotel. Spacious room and clean. It would be great if the facilities can be improved. Eg. Gym room equipments and dumbells looked old. In the room, no capsule coffee maker, shaver was bad and cut my son's skin. But in room dining was good and we loved the champion beef noodles in clear broth
Love this place. Will come back
Fabulous hotel and great location. Very friendly staff and a great view of Taipei 101 from my room
Convenient location to transportation, dining and shopping
Wonderful experience. Great hotel.
Very outdated Excellent location Probable can get better value with other hotels in the vicinity
Customer service and concierge is pretty good Easy to get taxi good location I didn’t like the breakfast. I can take it for the first day but not the rest of the week. Too dark in the hallway.
Amazing and probably my go to place in Taipei
Difficult to use pump shower gel and shampoo
Taipei is nice

We had a fabulous time at Regent. All the staff are super welcoming and helpful at all times. The food service, including room service, are superb!

แนะนำมาไต้หวันพักที่นี่ดีมากครับ สะดวกเดินทาง ร้านอาหารเยอะ
A vintage hotel with large rooms and good service. It’s just very slightly farther from public transportation. Other than that it’s perfect!
Friendly staff and amazing room
Great hotel. Very spacious bedroom and lots of things to do and dining options.
All inclusive Staff are well trained[iness
I have been staying this hotel every time I visit Taipei, never disappoint me.
I poorly slept because the elevator was making noise at midnight
So nice hotel.
Great location near MRT and close to shopping and dining options. Great service, spacious rooms breakfast is luxurious
Great hotel great service staff is amazing specially at the Taipan lounge Lily,Rae and all the orhers
Upgraded with reservation to king bed room on 18th floor of hotel. Granted two free beverages out of mini bar, excellent front desk and housekeeping service. Delicious added buffet breakfast.
This was my second time stayed in this hotel. Once more I received a 5 star hotel experience. I don’t have any complaints or negative feedback at all. I will stay in Regent again next time I am in Taipei.
Excellent room service. Attentive staffs.
Great area!
A real 5 star hotel
My husband and I recently completed a one-week stay at your hotel. It was overall an enjoyable experience - but we'd like to call attention to a few things that made our stay less pleasant than expected. (a) Tripping hazards near the front entrance and in the lobby. As I approached the entrance to the front lobby, I tripped on the single-step raised platform. This could have been a serious fall and definitely not a good way to start a vacation. We noticed the same design in the lobby itself. Both represent somewhat hidden completely unexpected hazards. I believe more should be done to prevent potential falls - placing staff there to warn patrons is not an effective solution as it failed in my case. (b) Substandard room. We are IHG platinum elite members. Even though it was booked through a 3rd party, we did not expect a room that the upkeep we expected. The bathroom was old with cracked/peeling caulking along the floor and walls, the toilet barely flushed, and the bed was uncomfortable. We were not forewarned that there would be remodeling into the night - instead we found a note in the room. We ended up leaving a few days early. In contrast, our stay last October with an IHG hotel in Osaka was an amazing experience. Not everything was disappointing. We enjoyed cocktails in the lounge, and found the buffet to be above average. The hotel is well-situated and conveniently located next to shopping areas and restaurants. We found the staff to be warm and friendly.
I would definitely return
About as good as it gets in Taipei. Classic old building, but maintained well, you don't really feel anything is old. I would definitely stay here again. Very walkable, it takes less than 15 min walk to Main station.
Regent has a beautiful interior.
Easy and convenient location
Room is spacious but quite old. The mattress is too firm for me. The staff service is average.
A hotel with a lot of details and thoughtful design. Good location. Excellent service. Absolutely a top choice for anyone who is first goin Taiwan!
This hotel is outdated. It has too many hidden steps on the property.
Best hotel in Taipei
Great hotel great staff and service evryone so helpfull and kind i will return
Good CS
Definitely top-rated luxury hotel. The staff were uniformly superior to anywhere else—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being in your business. Even the man disinfecting the elevator buttons remembered what floor I was on. Huge room. Odd smell on the basement level. Great shops and food.
Definitely not 5*
Definitely NOT a 5* The hotel needs serious upgrades: smelly, dirty carpet, hard as a rock beds, closets doors without handles, etc. At 9 am we already got a notice under the door that the service could not be performed since the door is locked. The only highlight of the stay is the Concierge staff, especially Nicole, helpful, friendly, professional.
Really amazing service. We requested a crib and they gave us a real crib, not just a portable one. The room was spacious and the walls were thick, we couldn't hear much outside noise at all. Food was amazing, even the room service food. Everyone was very nice and we had a great stay!
Wonderful huge rooms and very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast spread is amazing!
Superb accommodation overall
Beautiful hotel and our room was very specious. The service was wonderful and we had a great time. One minor thing to mention was the bathroom seemed to be a little old and the sealant were not great visually. Having said that the shower pressure was excellent. The 7/11 next door was very convenient (otherwise nothing opens early in Taiwan!). Overall it was a very comfortable stay - will stay again.
we together with other guest saw a cockroach at the breakfast buffet counter. The attendant behind the counter took care of that pest quickly enough. However, it is a dent in our trust. The bidet is kind of old comparing to many hotels in Taiwan.
Very comfortable stay, very convenient since it was near the shopping street Zhongshan and station. Staffs were very polite, except I flew in early but couldn’t check in until after 3 pm, I asked how to get around but may be she didn’t understand ( 7.30 -8 am staff) I was tried and hopeless. Spa was very nice btw, Very comfortable 4 nights stay.
Very nice and friendly staff and services. Except the hallway on the floor is dimly lit
Nice location. Very crowded lobby.
It’s about 5 minutes walk from Zhongshan MRT station, great hotel with very spacious rooms. They still give physical keys though. My first time staying in a hotel where they give out physical keys. The only thing is that the big bed is actually composed of two smaller beds so the middle may sink in at times. Room service was excellent, it’s always cleaned and tidied at all times of the day!
Location is good.
In general it was quite good..i was go back again
Excellent location, help., Beautiful renovation, restaurants, and piano bar! I will definitely stay here again.
Convenient location
Superb hotel and service
Large, well appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of international options and a beautiful dining area. Attentive and professional staff. Very nice rooftop pool. Most things you might need (toiletries, robe, slippers, makeup remover, toothbrush umbrella, etc) available quickly and easily. City view king room was large and had a very nice view from the 9th floor. Area around the hotel has lots of shopping, restaurants, Mass Transit, parks, etc and is easy for day trips, access to Taipei main station, Taipei 101, night markets, airport, etc staff really helpful with getting taxis to the front of the hotel. Gym was a little dated/crowded but clean, professional and well equiped. Overall one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and Taipei is a world class city.
Good locations
Services are excellent from check-in, conciege, staff from restaurant, they are very pro-active without even i need to speak. Breakfast was perfect with all kind of cuisine & they keep rotating different menu even i stay 3 nights. I would like to shout out to all the staff who made this hotel at the top service standard.

It is luxury 5 star hotel that located in the quieter corner of this busy city. It is surrounded by many shops and restaurants in walking distance. Especially for people who love to shop or try local food. We love the hotel offer many food choices- hundreds of selections of great breakfast buffet items and the food are delicious. It also offers Saua, Rooftop. swimming pool, lounge… We love quite and clean environment, the variety of food, 10 - 13 walking distance to public transportation and/or attractions. Of course, the staff made us feel very pleasant. We definitely choose this hotel again when come back to Taipei and strongly recommend to people for indulgent vacation.
