Had a fabulous stay here. Staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms view was amazing, so close to the pyramids. The hotel itself was a little tired and would benefit from a refurbishment. I understand that these things can't be done straight away and after covid, tourism is on its way up so hopefully these improvements shall be done. Everything else was great. Thankyou so much.
Once we walked into this hotel everyone made us feel safe and everyone was so friendly and nice it made us feel more at home rather. Would definitely recommend to others for there stay/visit in Egypt 🇪🇬 ❤️😊 My friend and I will definitely be back at Egypt and when we do we will make sure to book this hotel again for the next time❤️
The view of the pyramids from orvtoom snd the pool is fantastic
Only one good thing was the view. Nightly wedding parties and restaurants that done dont open til 11. Breakfast was free must just eggs and cheese. Bits of bread. Hotel is rundown and my shower didn't work. Aircon didnt cool the room for a good sleep
I had a marvelous time at Regency Pyramids Hotel. Conveniently located adjacent to the Pyramids, under a 5 minutes walk. Hotel had great breakfast selection and super friendly staff. Hotel Manager Mohamed Abdo was super professional, he took the time to reach out prior to my arrival and upon arrival and was very helpful in questions I had via WhatsApp instantly. Best hotel in Giza/Cairo near pyramids.
Hospitable staff .
Good location and quiet , good service too.
The room was not in the best shape. Curtains falling
Super staff. Great location.
Toilet leaked at discharge point so contaminated water ran across bathroom floor. Hot water in shower non existant, staff said to let it run for 10 minutes. There is an all night disco on the ground floor with deep drum beats audible until 4 am.
It is very dated and not maintained. Rooms are not good; bathroom condition not good, lights not working; curtain half unhooked, breakfast is non existent and location is near nothing to utilize time out in the evening. Staff at reception is good.
It has a great view, amenities were average. Some added decor seemed as an afterthought. You need your key card to run ac, so every time you get back its to a warm-ish room. Ac made noise throughout the night. The hotel hosted several weddings while we were there and party lasted from 12 to 3am. People were friendly, hotel manager did his best to accommodate us. Free breakfast was good but basic. If you want pyramids view, this would be a hotel to consider.
We booked this hotel for the views which were excellent. The hotel itself was good, the rooftop pools look nice but are not very clean.
Top second worst hotel I stayed at and there are only two. - internet continually expiring - staff pushy (called me 3 in one pay to pay for the taxi transport that was agreed will be pain on check out) - tried to up the price of the taxi when my partner went to pay from $30 to $35 - 2 towels for 3 people on check in; difficult to chase up more - next day all towels removed; none left; difficult to get more - chased an iron (no board!) for 2 days - water needs 10 minutes of running before it is luke warm (according to maintenance that’s normal) - internet just gone for hours; no explanation why - conversion rate for payment way above average (ripping you off big time, so be careful) - lights/electricity tripping on-off ever 15minutes to 1hour - no coffee/tea/creamer in room and not replaced either (so not one day oversight) - we bought coffee and the plastic spoons melted in the hot water - no actual cups - be mindful that everyday there is a wedding which produces loads of noise each night - no stopper in bathtub - not cleaned after renovations so all dusty and some strange white stuff all over the bathroom that comes off onto you like shower gel when water is running over it - staff English/Deutsch the poorest I’ve ever encountered travelling; very difficult to explain/agree on anything - safe not working - pool full of algae - overall incredibly filthy I really have no good word/comment for it
The Hotel provided a taxi and guide for the whole week we were staying there, this was sorted by Mohammed. Due to mobility problems there were some museums we were unable to visit fully but saw more than we expected. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view of the pyramids. Would recommend this hotel. Mohammed arranged trips to Saqqara, Alexandria, Cairo Museum, the Museum of Egyptian Civilisation, and the new Grand Egyptian Museum as well as the Pyramids at very reasonable prices.
Nice, but disappointed
Budget 4 star .. value for money .. But disappointed to be constantly approached by people from small shops in the hotel trying to sell you stuff .. expect this outside, not in the hotel ..
You get what you pay
This was such a nice hotel! The lobby looked amazing and so was the view from the pool was gorgeous. You could see the pyramids from there!
Awesome people
They are really friendly people specially Mohammed Abdu, Ehab, and Ahmad. If I decided to come back for sure be here again. They take care of us like their own family. Thank you guys
I want to express my Happiness with My stay at The Hotel. The service was special and The Cleanliness of The Room was Good , The Room was Spacious, The Hotel staff were Helpful . In The end I want to Thank Mr Mohamed Abdo ,He was Friendly with us ,He organized wonderful Trips for us.
Best location to visit pyramids . Fabulous view from the rooftop , Staff was helpful and friendly. my room was big and was clean
Very good location and really nice staff Abdo make our stay very enjoyable with tours And thx so much for Mohamed the guide Was very good experience in Egypt hope you all the best
Great place to see Great Pyramids
Wedding music everything. Breakfast is very very basic, dust every where, on cups, chairs , tables.
Nice three stars hotel
This hotel has potential but is not well runned. The only bright spot is the easy way Mohamet the administrator helped us plan our tourist visits to all sites.
There are better hotels in Giza. Don't use this.
It's an ok hotel. The biggest issue is the noise. Noisy street outside and sometimes parties that go late into the night with the music constantly coming through the walls. The hotel is a little run down. Some of the people on my tour had to be moved as the bathrooms didn't work. We constantly had to ask for water each day as they wouldn't give us bottle water unless we asked. The lobby has these little shops with vendors who constantly pester you for a sale as you walk by to get to the elevator to go to your room. No peace. One can expect that behavior on the streets but to also have to deal with annoying vendors inside your own hotel was a big problem. Some of the guests on my tours ended up taking the stairs instead to avoid the vendors who can be quite rude in pushing for a sale.
It is unbelievable to me that this hotel has this high of a review. It is in disrepair there is reconstruction going on. It is filthy. There’s no breakfast available. It’s just unbelievable. You have to walk through debris to get to the pool and I’m talking concrete and blocks and everything, the staff was very nice. However we arrived at 11 o’clock at night and there was construction going on. They told us it would end in several hours. We got no sleep at all that night. It was so bad we checked out the next morning and found a new hotel , the manager, Mohammed insisted we pay for the first night even though we got no sleep and no breakfast I was very disappointed. I would never stay here and I would want anyone else to stay away.
The best choice
The most affordable if you want to stay next to the Pyramids. All the staff is very friendly and supportive, they will help you in anything you may need. You will get up, have your meal and swim in the roof top pool with the most astonishing view of Cairo. Rooms are spacious, they have rooms of different sizes (even up to 3 beds) that may easily match your travel requirements. There are restaurants in the complex were enjoy dining and chill.
Friendly staff
The staff was very kind and helpful. The facilities are under construction but it's not a big inconvenience. I would definitely stay there again, the price os good and the location is perfect. The coffee house was wonderful i wish i would have gone on my first day there and not my last.
Ok at best
The hotel is right across from the Pyramids, however there’s a wedding hall in the hotel and it is extremely loud. The bathroom floors were very dirty. There’s nothing around in terms of dining or drinks.
Close to pyramids. Clean room, friendly staff. Shuttle from airport available. Assistance with tours of pyramids
We had very good experience with the hotel. Mohamed was the reason who made was experience super. He went out of way to coordinate our trips and met us daily to coordinate the next day programs. Cannot imagine doing the Egypt tours without him. The hotel was in excellent location and close to pyramids. Lifetime memorable experience
Little problems with the internet but all in all it was great.
Filthy In horrible state - no hot water, no towels , apart of a dance club, a gentleman’s club, tour bus dining, loud music that raged until 5:00 am every day, broken elevator, mud puddle floors, breakfast made up of buffet leftovers under plastic wrap, super creepy place! Worst nightmare of a place -
The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. Everyone working there was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome, especially the manager Mohamed, he was always available to assist with any needs we had. Being able to wake up and see the pyramids from your window just took our breath away. We definitely recommend this hotel!
One day before my arrival they offered me a transfer to the hotel. Transportation was always waiting for us in communication with us. Upon arrival at the hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and have a view of the pyramids. Breakfast, as we left before the opening time of the restaurant, they prepared us to take away. The bathtub is very comfortable. nos empacaban para llevar. La tina de baño muy confortable.
Sadly, the only good thing was the pyramid views. My flight landed at 0530 and I arrived at the hotel at 0730. Upon arriving, I was not checked in and up into my room for over 2 hours. I showed my booking receipt/confirmation, and messages from the hotel enquiring my arrival and confirming I could do early check in, and the gentleman at the hotel still would not check me in. Due to the language barrier, all he said to me was “the manager will be here in 15 minutes” every time I asked him. Eventually 2 hours I enquired again what the holdup was and stated that if I was unable to be checked in I would find another booking and I was magically checked in. I was willing to overlook this and still give this place a positive review but after three awful nights I am unable to. The beds and pillows are rock hard, the shower takes over 10 minutes to heat up and the drain kept malfunctioning require me to manually drain it, and the air conditioner did not work at all. I told the front desk about all of these issues the first day, and reminded them the second day and they were not addressed. Simple things were a huge process. I asked for an extra towel and it took over an hour for me to get it and involved me going downstairs twice, and asking three different staff members, none of which spoke English. When checking out, immediately after walking out my room door I almost stepped in dog poop and found the hallway flooded from the pool on the roof.
Amazing views of the pyramids, convenient location. Staff is very responsive and professional. You can book all your tours through them, have the best deals. Clean rooms. Has a local feel. Several good restaurants available on property, BYOB though.
This is a true gem of a hotel. The hotel has it quirks but nothing major. What is outstanding is the staff and the amazing treatment they provide. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is met with the staff going over and beyond. This hotel would put a 5 star to shame with the customer service. I will return and I recommend this hotel over any 5 star one.The Manager Mohamed Abdo is amazing and made our stay fabulous and memorable.
It was great accommosation
The view was amazing The room is big and beautiful The staf is very good
The staff, front desk, reservation manager, restaurant wait staff- each and every one was friendly, helpful. We appreciated the information about and the hotel making the reservation including transportation to the boat, for a river/dinner cruise with a variety of entertainment. We enjoyed seeing the pyramids from the roof where we enjoyed our breakfast and the pool.
Awesome views great service
I was looking for a hotel close to the pyramid complex seeing we only had a few days to sightsee The hotel contacted us and picked us up at the airport at midnight We were checked in quickly The room was huge and super comfortable The bathroom was clean and roomy The staff was amazing especially Mohammed He went above and beyond for us. He set up our airport transportation he helped us on getting around Cairo and the sites without getting taken advantage of. Basically the whole staff was wonderful We walked back from the pyramids in about 10 minutes The pool was so great and the views are priceless So great location Great staff Very comfortable Great value Would recommend to anyone ———————————————————- Ok so this is not a hotel comment this is a Cairo comment…. If you are American bring a lot of $1 bills and $5 bills any low denomination of currency Us$ is king here everyone wants it, don’t plan on using your credit card most places l
This was the most amazing experience in Egypt. Mohamed and his team went above and beyond to make this trip the most memorable one. The hospitality, kindness, tours, etc., were above and beyond our expectations. The experience he gave us is priceless!
The property is in front of the pyramids of Giza. That is the only positive for this. The entire building is ramshackle and apparently under construction??? I literally couldn't not tell where the construction area began or ended. We began with our the front desk informing us that we did not have a reservation even though their property manager had already contacted us offering us a airport shuttle before we got there. It only got worse from there. The room was not ready at 2pm with check in time at 11am. Then the room had a wet carpet, dirty bathroom with loose faucet and tiles falling apart. The shower water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The beds were ok and the linen was overall clean-ish. The pool area is a joke. Dusk everywhere, garbage piles in all corners. All employees looked overworked and tired. Front desk staff was horrible and property manager was more focused on selling us stuff rather than fixing all the problems. I do not recommend. Further, i warn everyone against staying here.
Good host, hotel needs more improvement and professionalism
The hotel is in a suburb location, gorgeous view of pyramid from your bedroom. Bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Nice ambiance in terrace restaurant and good food. Hotel Manager Mohamad Abdo went out of his way to provide personal service for our comfort. He is very helpful and help us organize our tour. The hotel is still in final stage of its completion. Though some are clean some deep cleaning required to have immaculate touch.
Definitely not 4 star hotel!!!!
The only positive was the staff. They were very helpful, kind and friendly. However it does not warrant a 4 star rating Sheet did not even cover top of mattress. Mattress full of hard springs and uncomfortable. Shower kept turning hot and cold. Breakfast was not great. Only Nescafé. WiFi was weak. Only thing to recommend is that it is close to the pyramids and other than the over priced Marriott it looked like the best of the hotels around. Very tacky with overdone Egyptian motifs. Our room faces the street and street noises were very loud. Our friend’s room faced the inner courtyard ( with pyramid view) and had to deal with music until late as there were wedding parties below every night.
