Nice little gem hidden away in an unlikely area

Really good. Staff friendly and helpful (limited by language). Breakfast was a joke. The local area did not feel very safe. However they can call out taxis to take you where you need to go. Language barrier.

Hotel was close to Go Vap Orphanage.

We were visiting the Go Vap orphanage, and this hotel was recommended for being close by.

Very good

The room maintenance needs improvement. Few light switches didn't work. Shower door was jammed and unable to slide shut. Nice cigarette burn in the bed sheet. The key reader on the door was out of battery and needed replacement. Upon check out I was told I needed to pay for 2 bottled waters, that the receptionist had offered me upon arrival. I don't mind paying, however at least make it explicitly clear that the drinks are not complimentary.

Enjoyable hotel.

My wife stays here every time she goes to Ho Chi Minh to see her Brother. It is close to the Airport and a good deal. She has stayed at a few of the budget hotels around the airport in the last year and this is her favorite.

Very Friendly staff, close to Airport.

The staff at this hotel was wonderful and very helpful they made the stay very enjoyable. The hotel is close to the airport but not in the hotel heavy area. I would say this in one the the friendliest hotels I have stayed at in Vietnam.

staffs, (specially reception staffs) are very weak

Inconveniences....

Broken door key(had to get them to open the door everytime, and receptionist had the nerve to ask me for broken key when I went out. I left it in slot to charge batteries in room because it was broken anyway), was overcharged 3x local price for a bottle of water....I stayed at 4 stars hotels and paid cheaper for water if at all free...everything in hotel feels like overpriced...between being far away, overpriced, I wouldn't stay here again. You can get better deal elsewhere.

A decent hotel

Consider the pricing, it is a good value decent hotel. The service was very good though. The staff was very very polite and helpful in transporting our lugages. Highly recommended.

Too far from airport

Cab fare from and to the airport almost exceeded the cost of the room. Next time I would pay a little more for a hotel nearer to the airport and avoid the time waisted getting to the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was a challenge with very few choices in the area.

Good, typical hotel

I rate it average. It was good, typical hotel. Does not offer meals, but there are eating places next door. There are hotels closer to the airport, but it was only 150,000 dong taxi ride so not too far.

Deceiving advertisement

While booking, there was no indication whatsoever that the room has no window, the "shower" is just a water dispenser on the ceiling of the W.C. and the sink is inside the room. There would be nothing wrong with all of these if there were honestly and clearly advertized.

hotel 2 1/2 star rating..in hotels.com I book one night $30, when I check in, they said no more room, so they send me to another hotel...I don't mind...... when I get there the hotel they replace for me not either have star rating... infront the hotel have the sign rent room $2.50 per hour or $10 a night.. hope they not do these with all customer.. booking at hotels.com never book this hotel again..............

Great stopover hotel near the airport

We had a 15 hour stopover and the hotel was able to accommodate us from 8am for the day. Excellent air con, shower and comfortable bed. The hotel has a lift and the room has tea & coffee making plus a fridge. Rate was very cheap and only about $5 for a taxi to the airport each way. Certainly could stay longer at this hotel if remaining in Saigon

Helping Hands

If you are looking for an intimate and quiet hotel this is for you. Don't be put off by the location because the tiny price of a taxi can put you anywhere in the city, and the staff will treat you like royalty to help you get back and forth. Be patient because the “English” takes some getting used to, but remember you are the foreigner and these folks will do anything they can to help and serve you.

Rooms are clean, but the air conditioning unit in the room we stayed in is not so good.

The rooms are huge with comfortable beds. The service was wonderful and the location convenient. It is a great value for the money. I stayed at a few different hotels in the area and I would definitely come back to this one.

Hotel was very nice clean , and staff was as helpful as it could get but it's a bit far from the main attractions of where all the city life is if you want more of a local feel this is a great place....

Good condition hotel with something weird in it

The experience staying at Hon En hotel is not too bad until the day we checked out. We have an hour spare time till we checked out. So I decided to go for massage service provided in the hotel. I expect a lady to bring me to the massage room instead a guy, because I am a female customer. The receptionist asked a guy to bring me to the massage room and I started to feel uneasy. I suspect something wrong with the spa place. So, I quickly decided to cancel the massage and refund from the reception. Phew!!

Good for airport layover

The hotel staff were extremely courteous, going so far as to unload our luggage from the cab at 1 in the morning. For the price, this hotel was a great value.

An Oasis in Go Vap

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. All the hotel staff went out of their way to look after us. The room was cozy, clean, and spacious - more than I had bargained for given the modest cost. Westerners traveling to Vietnam and concerned that their accommodations can put their fears aside when they check in at the Hon En Hotel & Spa.

If you need a short one night stay it's ok

Close to the airport, not to the city. Neighbourhood is so-so. Staff didn't speak well English. Rooms were small but OK. Clean. It was cheap but I would probably pay a bit more and get another hotel another time. No safe in the room as the description though says

Just enough for a quick over night stay!

Nothing flash but Just enough if u want a bed and toilet/shower for a quick overnight stay as its only a 140,000 dong ($7au) ride from airport . Don't pay anymore u will need to bargain. From airport they hotel will get u a cab for $5au.

near airport

Needed aroom forafew hours overnight for early morning flight. This was verycheap and near airport. Neighborhood felt unsafe hotel had drinks and money change. Hotel was v noisy through the night doors banging etc. Rooms v small , clean, with toiletries, tea and coffee etc. Served purpose for few hours but would not return.

Overnight in Saigon

Very Impressed with this first time stay at this hotel. customer Service rates 10 out of 10! Check-in a breeze, front desk staff "Walk the Talk"! The friendly attitude of the staff far outgoes any North American Hotel Service. Only drawback, I would say this hotel is a little out of the way from the Airport in Saigon. You should book your taxi on arrival if you plan to depart early the next day! I will stay at this hotel again on my next overnight visit. Another Class Act to Follow!

Close to "real life"

Hotel was clean and breakfast was ok. Only problem was that no one told us where to get the breakfast even it was already served in the top floor cabinet. Very nice personnel and they even came with us to take us to the bus station and helped us to buy the tickets to our destination, and they did not want any money about it.

Fantastic views, lovely hotel & excellent service!

Cleanliness of room and hotel was excellent, friendly and courteous staff, hotel amenities were excellent and the hotel's location was perfect for us as we were volunteering at a local orphanage which is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The surrounding streets are full of little eateries and restaurants and the locals are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Hotels.Com for booking our accommodation here for us.

他のホテルでは名前を伝えるだけでチェックインをしてくれましたが、ここは名前をつたえても、予約番号をみせてもすんなりと対応してくれませんでした。エクスペディアからの予約メールをみせても、金額が日本語のため分からないということで、ドンに換算して表示したらようやくチェックインになりました。しかし、その後も5分間パスポートとをあずからせてくれ、その間に部屋に案内しますと、他のホテルでさなかなかない対応がありました。 コピーをとるのに時間がかかることを気にしてくれたのかもしれません。 従業員はそんなに愛想はありませんが良い人たちでした。

it's not bad

It's enough to sleep in there. And every persons who work in that inn is kind. But its equipment is old.

Een echte afrader!

Gekozen om locatie, die niets kan bieden. Receptie had niet door dat ik ook voor ontbijt had betaald. Geen WiFi op m'n IPad op de kamer. Slechte keus dus.

空港に近いと思ったがそれほど近くなかった

値段相応のホテルです。目的をもってこの場所に決めるにはそれなりおホテルです。ローカル食を楽しむには良い場所ではないでしょうか?

お湯が出ない、お風呂のドアが閉まらない

ダブルルームに2連泊でした。最初の部屋は何分たってもお湯が出ず、スタッフさんにも来てもらいましたが無理とのことでした。そしてお風呂は別部屋のバスルームを使って良いとのことでしたが、バスルームを使い終わったらお部屋の鍵を返さなければならない、ベッドにすわってはいけないなど、誓約が多く、アフターバスのケアをするには本当に大変でした。また、バスルームのドアが閉めても全開になってしまうので、床はびしょびしょになっていました。お湯が出ないのはホテルの不手際なのに、お客さんの不便など考えていないようでした。 翌日はお湯の出るお部屋でしたが、バスルームのドアはこちらも閉まらず、大変困りました。 またホテルの場所が分かりづらくタクシーの運転手にホテルの名刺を渡しても中々つきませんでした。また、バインミーのお店が周りに数件あるだけで、レストランはほぼなく、食事に大変不便な場所です。隣に一軒夜にやっているレストランがありますが、貝や鶏肉まで中が血の赤なので、使わないほうがいいと思います。

お湯の出ないホテル

ホーチミンに23時過ぎに到着し、翌早朝の飛行機のために空港近くのホテルを探し、価格と評価の面からこのホテルにしました。実際、ホテルは空港から近くはなく、路地に入ったわかりづらい場所で、近くにコンビニも何もありませんでした。このホテルに特に不満な点は２つあります。パスポートがデポジットと、シャワーのお湯です。チェックイン時に、パスポートを見せるだけなら良いのですが、クレジットで支払っているにもかかわらず、朝までパスポートは返せないと言われ、嫌だと答えると、パスポートをコピーしようとしていましたが、コピー機が壊れて使えず、24時を過ぎていて早く部屋に行きたいのに非常に待たされました。また、シャワーのお湯が出ず使えませんでした。部屋の広さやアメニティは価格相応でしたが、禁煙ルームのはずなのに灰皿がありました。また、壁が薄いのか廊下を歩く音、チェックインの声や不思議な音が聞こえ、時々びっくりすることもありました。雰囲気も暗いですし、もう泊まりたくないです。

2015年築ということで内装の新しさにまず驚いた。特筆すべきはコストパフォーマンスで、3,000円に満たない価格でこのレベルなのかと感動した。いままでに泊まったどのホテルよりもクオリティが高かった。

Awaiting forgetter times

Hotel is obviously passed its prime. Pros: inexpensive single rooms with normal amenities always available. Not far from airport. Cons: far from downtown Saigon; two floors occupied by spa in need of serious update --- I would not pay what they ask for their services there. Nothing much around but typical Saigon neighborhoods. Overall: no more then a single star hotel.

Khu vực yên tĩnh, có thể đi bộ dài dài tìm tiệm ăn vừa ý, không nhiều xe cộ ồn ào như bên ngoài đường lộ chính, gần trường sinh viên học có nhiều quán ăn đặt biệt rất ngon và rẽ. Suppermarket cũng khá gần khoảng 700m, có thể mua thức ăn nóng mới nấu sẳn giá phải chăng và chè tráng miệng hay bánh ít bánh bèo vừa ngon vừa vệ sinh, Suppermarket mở cửa tới 22 giờ, từ Suppermarket có nhiều trạm xe Bus nối các tuyến đường về thẳng trung tâm TP Hồ chí Minh, chợ Bến Thành Quận 1, hoặc xe bus về thẳng Chợ-lớn quận 5 hoặc quận 6 đi ngang qua ngay cổng chính ga xe lửa Saigon ở quận 1. Từ trường học cho các sinh viên gần đó cũng có xe Bus chạy thẳng về chợ Bến thành đi ngang qua chợ Tân Định. Giá vé mỗi chuyến xe bus chỉ từ 5000 đ đến 6000đ cho mỗi người. Nhân viên khách sạn nhiệt tình như trong gia đình và tánh tình rất chất phát, khiến chồng tôi là người Đức dù ở Q1 tiện việc đi lại, nhưng nhất định quay về ks Hòn Én ở, dù phải đón xe Bus hơi xa hơn ở ngay trung tâm Q.1, nhưng ông vẫn thích.

Greit for en overnatting når du skal videre neste dag. Kort avstand til flyplassen. Frokosten var litt spesiell, et stekt egg i midten på tallerken, med tomat og agurk rundt, og en stor baguett ved siden av. Blir nok den frokosten vi husker best fra oppholdet i Vietnam. Alt i alt en grei overnatting.

Even though the room was small, it was really good and equipped with everything. Facilities are new and clean. It costed less than 140,000 VND from this hotel to the airport. It's close to the airport.

Fine for a night or two.

We've been there for one night only. The hotel is fine, and the location is also OK, especially if you are a vegetarian - a couple of veg restaurants are nearby.

less than 5 km from the airport. quite nice hotel, small rooms, but decent. AC nothing much around although everything necessary available (street food, bike rental, small stores). overall very good rating, would recommend. Many hotels for higher price with poorer service .

深夜のトランジットで時間があったのため、休憩するために予約しました。空港からのタクシーは、住所を見せればすぐにいけました。チェックインと部屋への案内はとてもスムーズでしたが、Wi-Fiのパスワードやルームサービスを頼むときの内線の番号はどこにも書いておらず、結局フロントまでまた降りました、、部屋にお茶セットがあったにも関わらずお湯が全く見当たらずおかしいなと感じました。朝の3時にチェックアウトしたのですが、流石にフロントの人もロビーのソファーで仮眠をとっていて申し訳ないと感じましたが、タクシーもすぐに呼んでくれて助かりました。

目立たない場所にありますが、部屋の中は値段のわりに大変よかったです。近所を歩いたら市場も２４スーパーもあり、とても安かったです。 パンのおいしいお店が近くにありました。帰国前日そこでパンを買ったので早朝空港で買ったパンを食べて帰国しました。 夜はとても静かで窓も大きく不安なく寝やすかったです。この値段だと窓のない部屋は多いですから。
