Dirty,old and really small room

Firstly staff was great,Location was good.BUT OVERALL WORST PLACE SO OLD TOILET DIRTY ROOM AND TINY TINY ROOM

The exterior looked old, very different from the picture, the staff was always there to help you, the room was ok, it is very convenient to get to the beach

Not as advertised

Hotel was decent.

An absolute nightmare. Checked in and out of this hotel within 10 minutes. Filthy, unsafe not even a bottle of water in the room. Cancelled the reservation and they still charged us for 2 nights. Any positive review of this hotel would be fraudulent.

Nice comfy bef

A nice simple room with a comfy bed. Very small room but enough to have a nice sleep in.

Best value in Patong

I had a very enjoyable stay at red planet . The rooms are small but very clean and modern . 10 minute walk to the beach and to Bangla Road. Nice restaurant next-door to enjoy breakfast . I will stay here again and would be happy to send friends here .

Great location just a few minutes walk to everything, but not in a noisy area. Very basic rooms. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper almost every day. Staff not helpful with maps or recommendations.

Very good budget hotel

Rooms are a bit small but more than enough to sleep in. Not a lot to watch on the TV but that's fine. Short 10-15 min walk to Bangla road with lots of food options nearby. Fairly quiet considering it's a bit farther from all the clubs.

Great location for family

The hotel was a short walk from the beach. It was very clean. Suggestions for improvement - the shampoo and shower gel dispenser could be improved. The top plastic cover would come off frequently which was a little annoying. The check in process could be made more smooth. Tip: you could ask for an iron at the front desk. They don't have one in the room.

Cheap and cheerful hotel! The Room was immaculate and had everything you need, modern, clean and in a perfect location in Patong.

Very bad experience

The hotel was very bad .. we were 4 people and we had 4 different rooms any single room there wasn’t fridge and Wardrobe we basically left our clothes in the suitcase. Also the cleaning staff was very bad, they never clean it properly

Good value for money

Staff are excellent, but there were no fridge, kettle, coffee/tea, water and closet, need to pay attention more to cleaning bedsheets, pillows had stains... location and Wifi were really good

Not the best experience

Booked this hotel for just a couple of days and glad I only did that. Hotel itself has seen better days. Staff were already but the room is basically a closet with a bed. Couple things were broken in the room and the bar across the street stayed pretty loud most of the night. The. You had drunk people standing outside the hotel entrance/exit being loud as well. If you are on a budget then maybe I would stay but there are much better places out there. Wouldn't recommend this place.

They need to change towel because some ripe of towel and must be new towel please. Local is so amazing and closet to beach perfect. The price is so good reasonable and satisfied.

Worth the price. 13 mins walk to Happening places such as Bangla Road and Jungceylon Mall. Lot of convenience shop and foods nearby.

Room had some interesting stains and the staff are very stingy with towels. Only one of the rooms outlets was functioning and there was only a single window which barely opened as to really make it clear it was a non-smoking room, but also a non natural air room

All hangers were damaged by radioactivity

I was hard to bear and remove the strong radioactivity hangers in the room after checked in the room. ( I took out them from the room) Also it was hard to good sleep in the early morning night by the high density power noise in all the room.

The location.

Especially the restaurants around the Hotel are poor.

Clean hotel, nice staff, good for stay overnight for night flight!!! Will try again and suggest to friends.

Affordable and comfy stay

For the affordable and competitive price, the experience was amazing. Decent distance from everything else, (only) a little bit far away from Bangla street and Jungceylon mall, but there's always a tuktuk or taxi right?

Wrong map location but good location anyway 😉

The Red Planet Phuket is not in right place in Hotels.com map. It is on the same road but over 500 meters more away from Bangla road. We went there for 2 nights and it was a good choise for lowcost. You can easily walk anywhere in Patong Beach. And have good fresh food restaurants on the way to Bangla near hotel where you can eat first for low prices before going to bars and nightclubs.

Good hotel for price.

The hotel is located near the beach. No thrills hotel, very basic - exactly what we needed.

The second or third night I was met with ants. I told the reception about this. She kindly got rid of them but the next night I was them again. The hot water from the showers were not working.

It was very loud and the hotel did not provide bath towels

Not for light sleepers

Pros: Great Location, clean rooms, Air conditioning and elevator. Cons: Walls are very thin and smaller rooms Honestly this was a bare bones hotel in a great location we don’t care for breakfast or shampoo just clean and simple. However I am a light sleeper and I found this hotel to be very loud. The guest next door and above us were very rude and there is no phone in the room so only way to complain would have been to go down in the middle of the night in my pajamas to complain which is NOT ideal. One night there was a man screaming and knocking on the door next to our room for 5 minutes at 3 am. But we had no way to contact front desk, the only way I could contact them was through Facebook and they didn’t reply till morning and advised me to download app which was pointless because by that point of our trip we were leaving. For this reason I cannot recommend to light sleepers. Also we came back to nap twice mid day and the cleaning staff was VERY loud. It sound like they were literally running and yelling singing through the halls.

Budget friendly hotel in central location. Rooms are small but beds are comfortable. Bathroom was okay. Ideal for a quick stay.

Cheap but nasty rooms

Brother had flying ants in bed. I barely could sleep in my bed. These rooms get filled every night for people staying only one night and seem to be trashed. It’s very in expensive but not worth it.

Simple, clean, overall a good stay

I stayed in this hotel for one night. The rooms are small but clean. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Staff were polite. Can't beat the price of this hotel which was very good and affordable.

Nice hotel close to the beach

I always stay at the Red Planet hotels in Thailand. The location is great, a few large blocks off the beach and roughly 4-5 blocks from the walking street. The service is what sets the Red Planet Hoteis apart from other hotel chains. They are very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

cheap place for sleeping

the ac took ages to cool the place down and the towels were pretty much useless, the room provided what we expected so cant complain there, all and all was a decent experience

Very Poor Hotel

Room was very cozy. Room size is equal to bed size. They don't provide drinking water!!! Rather ask to buy from reception if needed. In such a hot weather how they do it with guest I can't understand. They are chain hotel but don't have enough money to provide drinking water how funny. Anyway please don't stay here. Waste of money.

close to bars

Your web page led us to believe we had breakfast with the booking and 1 smoking room for my friend. It had neither.... not even water or a glass to drink water. It did not have a kitchen so how can you include breakfast in the booking!!! It was a non-smoking hotel!!! Very misleading webpage from Expedia.com.sg We both felt cheated I had a very good experience at Red Planet Makati, which had a huge bar, eating area and breakfast included. I don't think I can biook through Expedia again if they misrepresent what facilities the hotel actually has

Good place to sleep and go.

Great location, about 10 minutes walking time from all the clubs. Good enough to go and rest. Rooms are extremely small and they lack closet space. Staff is friendly but limited on english.

Pretty awesome so far

So far it has been good. Staff has been accomadating. Mo has been exceptional in dealing with my needs. You need to keep that girl. She is an asset to your Hotel. I would definitely consider her for promotion.

Staff not so friendly, small room, cheap soft bed, bad wifi, bad tv reception, weak ac, not very clean, felt like converted office building, I booked for three nights but left after the first night. The rooms are worth about $15 a night only. Use for crash pad..

An Ok place

It is very important to me to have decent bathroom and this place had it. Sadly the rooms are extremely small. There is no place to put the luggage but on the floor All the others hotels I have been in Patong have mini fridge, offer tow free bottles of water and have beach towels. This place has none of the above, so just bear that in mind

No frills hotel that is clean/ close to the beach

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated their assistance with booking a taxi to the airport. They also allowed us to check in a bit early.

Pleasant and nice stay for a night

Friendly and nice staff even I arrived around 04:00 am. Quick check-in making me feel great. The room cleanliness is fair & the beds are confortable. Hair dryer is equipped, that's good I liked this hotel. The location of this hotel is quite far to largest shopping mall - Junceylon. That's the weakness point of this hotel. Less massage shops or restaurants nearby the hotel. But if I come to Phuket again, I will try to stay in here.

Check in time was at 2 PM and we arrived around 12:45 pm and they let us check in earlier than the check in time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was about $11 a night (I was kind of skeptical of the hotel before booking it but when i saw it in a person i was very impressed for the value i paid). Towels were dirty and had stains in them which was kinda frustrating but you can't beat the price for the room. It is about 15-20 mnts walking distance from walking street (Bangla). Don't forget to check out the bar across the street it is a must visit. Overall, I would stay again and recommend this hotel to my friends.

good for budget trip

the hotel located in town, easy to find. it's quite quiet (not like Patong beach) there was water leaked from the AC the night we stayed there but they changed the room for us immediately room is tidy and very clean even it's quite small but i don't mind they have everything that is necessary such as hangers, soap, hair dryer.

The hotel was very clean, had a great price and great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, except a lady from in the reception from the night shift. We want to book another night and the price was a lot more expensive then on their Website. So she was very unfriendly when we said that on the Website is a lot cheaper.

Week aircon good price.

Great for the money I just booked the place because I had a flight at 3:00am. So I wanted a place to relax a few hours. But the aircon was not enough to keep that tiny room cool. That was what I did not like.

Nice hotel

I went in this place for 1 week with my friend and was really nice, the room was always clean and the staff was very friendly very nice people specially one girl in reception very nice and funny, I will go back in this place one day. See you soon best staff by Amin and Antonio.

Nice and Clean Hotel

This was a good hotel for the money. It was very clean but the only thing was that the room was a bit small. Other than that, the stay was comfortable.

I am a seasoned traveller and have stayed at many places of various types and ratings. I have NEVER stayed somewhere in Thailand that doesn't supply any bottled water or any hotel that has no wardrobe/table to store your luggage, and no fridge. Bathroom was spacious and presented well enough but soap only available. Room was made up several times without fresh towels, linen not changed for 4 days. Not for me I'm afraid.

Convenient and clean

The hotel was clean, room was little bit small. The staff were helpful, close to a street food, fast check in and check out. It was about 7min walk to the beach.

Accessible location to almost everything.

From arrival to check out (5 days), staffs were extremely plesant and accomodating. Clean lobby, lift, hallway and room. Room gets to be cleaned everyday with new towels daily, tissues. The room is small compared to other rooms in the area but its just perfect for me ( solo) or for 2. Has great view of the hill or the beach or the street specially kn top floors. Good and sttong wifi connections all through out my stay. Cons: you would hear the door slaming sound and chit chats (if they are really noisy) from your neighboring rooms. Not much space for big luggages. Good thing i only travel lite. Only two hangers (that is if you need more). Pillows are nice and soft but just 2 small onces for a queen bed. Overall, i had a pleasant worry free stay with them and will definitly stay again ( having a 10%) discount as a repeat customer on their hotels.

Red Planet Patong

It was just ok for a place to sleep . Rooms are very small but sufficient for what I needed ....just a place to sleep . Nothing special If you don't like small spaces and feeling a bit closterphobic ...this is not for you .

The Red Planet staff were absolutely fantastic & helped at any hour of the day with any questions or queries related to the hotel & surrounding areas. Rooms were small but had all we needed, inc free aircon, movies & a safe , would have preferred to have a wardrobe of some description as i ended up having to live out of my case. My ONLY downside would have to be the fact that the walkways to the rooms & lifts were not airconditioned or fanned in anyway as this made it rather uncomfortable waiting for the lifts & riding the lift to the top floor. Other than that I will most definitely be visiting again.

What a dump! STAY AWAY!

First off, the place smells like mold and i mean really bad. When I arrived, they did not have my room, They had no record of me thought i booked in expedia and if i could not produce proof then I would not have had a room. The towels are as old as I am and I am 53. There are no amenities. The rooms are filthy and the sink would not go down and they could not fix it the whole week. There were no washcloths. The room had no closets and my suitcase could not fit in the room with the top open. I had to live out of a closed suitcase for a week. This was the worst hotel i have stayed in since i backpacked and stayed in hostels in my college days. You have been warned.

Not a nice place.

Night starff are rude. Basic room. No shampoo, condition, no soap provide. No tea or coffee facilities and bar fridges in selected rooms only, not even the staff know what rooms have fridges. Rediculous and very out of touch in providing a true budget hotel.

The flickering lights in the corridor was not a welcoming sight at 2am on arrival. We also discovered that in our teeny tiny room (where there was hardly any room for the luggage), the bathroom sink did not drain properly, there were no toiletries, no tissues and my bedsheets were stained. This was more like a hostel than a hotel. I guess I should be thankful that there was a hairdryer...

great little hotel, great location

we had 11 nights stay at red planet patong. the room was clean but was quite small, no space to walk. our bathroom smelt like fungi, had to turn on aircon to clear the smell. overall the location is great and hotel staff are very friendly. for the price you pay, its a great hotel. tuktuk is 200 baht, dont fall for anything above and they will take a bunch of you to the snake shows, elephant trekking, tigers, go karting, shooting etc as they are all next to each other.
