Great host. Place is updated and putting some love back into it. Would definitely go back there. Good stay. Thanks.
Blenheim stay
Very dated motel but convenient location for leaving the car & walking into Blenheim.
Good
Cheap but not what we expected when booking
Handy to city
Handy to town and food outlets. Pain trying to turn right out of Raymar, so turned left and went around the block
Wasn't expecting too much for the price, but my stay for work was okay; the host was great - friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had all the basic facilities - comfy bed and fresh towels daily. Instant hot water in the bathroom, shower a bit dated but everything worked as it should. Only gripe was no sink in the kitchen to wash up dirty plates, cutlery etc, so needed to do so in the wash basin in the bathroom. Overall not a bad stay.

1 more night in Blenheim
Another night in Blenheim, motel nice and central so works for me
Basic accommodation but value for money.
The man running motel is rude & unfriendly, did not allow me to book in an hour early, I asked to not have rooms done for fear of my property, when I asked for tangs & sugar his reply was “ that’s what you get fir not getting room done! “ had also said to be quiet as walls thin & toilet roll holder is so far back it’s silly, lastly furniture holding kettle & microwave wobbled badly! Won’t be going back there!
Good
Nothing
last night 2021
Last night for the year, have stayed many times and it is always nice and comfortable
Back in Blenheim
Nice and comfortable, handy and well priced
It was fine
Disappointing
Disappointed - no milk in the fridge or shampoo in bathroom, wi-fi was terrible, reception not professional on check. Definitely not a 7.8 in my eyes.
We stayed 3 nights and our room was serviced probably ones, we ran out of toilet paper, inadequate heating at night, the milk provided was in a open jug, main door hardly closed properly overall the stay was miserable and we paid top dollar (about $175 per night) If you have a family wouldn’t recommend staying there
Good location
The owner is accommodating and the motel is in a good location. The rooms are too small that dining tables & chairs were not provided. Not sure why an extra bed is provided if there are only 3 people to sleep in each room. Also 2 of the rooms asked to be made up but they were not, only provided new towels.
Comfy bed, nice owner, good location. Only issue being no kitchen sink to wash our dishes.
Kitchen bench so small no room for jug, toaster, at the same time, not enough plugs for toaster, jug, microwave. No bowls or utensils for microwave.
Plesently surprised to find older style mofels so well presented.
Very clean and close to the city. Quite enjoyed staying there
Room was clean and tidy. It lacked a few things like a bowl to microwave food, a coffee plunger
Good location, dairy just across the road. Very handy to our conference location.
Close to work and very friendly plus helpful staff
Lily very helpful arranging early morning transport to airport. Quiet room and very clean
Room clean, good price, disappointed the kitchenette area did not have its own sink. Parking was tight due to picnic tables overlapping the car parks
Clean and quiet, we only stayed one night as we were just passing through, but we were very pleased with our accommodations and the pricing was reasonable.
Did not like no sink basin to wash dishes and crockery and utensils were on the bottom of cupboard ....no shelf in middle a bit hard for me to bend to the floor to get crockery and utensils the car parking was not wide enough ti park the car
One more time
Over night once again
Friendly and helpful staff but very out of date facility with too tiny room size
The motel was okay, very basic with no kitchen in unit. However there was kitchen facilities next to our unit. Rooms not very soundproofed.
Great place! Large rooms and great staff. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
Central to shopping centre. Affordable accommodation.
There was no indication in the booking confirmation that credit cards are not accepted.
Good spot
Very good spot for a couple days stay. Wifi could use a booster so that rooms farther from the office could have a good connection. Air conditioned rooms would be a bonus. Very much enjoyed the outdoor shared kitchen and eating area
Very close to the beach, shopping, food & coffee outlets.
Another night in Blenheim
I only stay as an over nighter, on transit, great for that purpose, close to shops if needed, always freindly reception with clean and tidy units
Just what we needed on a little pit stop through town whilst traveling.
We checked in late after 11pm but the room was ready for us thanks to the arrangement by the management. The room was compact with comfy beds and ensuite facilities.
Good budget motel
Good budget accommodation option in Blenheim. Easy walk to town and restaurants. Great base for exploring wine region.
Great motel close to town centre, very reasonable rates.
Trip 3
Time to be back in Bleheim, great place when on your own or just a quick stop, clean and great host, ill be back
Was good place to stay in Blenheim, nice and close to town
NO CREDIT CARD FACILITIES
Nothing more annoying than be told on arrival that they dont accept any form of Credit card payment. Owner states its on every booking site (IT IS NOT - just check for yourself.) Beware also that there is limited heating in the rooms and this makes for a Polar experience if there is a cold snap....
Over night again
Back again for an over night stay, cool night so was a little trick getting the room warm but all good, will return
OK for Budget Accommodation
This is budget accommodation and as such was fine, the price however wasn't far away from much nicer rooms we stayed in on our trip, so given the opportunity, would probably spend a few dollars more next time and stay somewhere nicer - but as far as budget accommodation goes, there was nothing fundamentally wrong with this place.
Close to city centre
Great place central to city, yet quiet. The only thing i would suggest is bring your own pillow the ones in the room are not good. The car park is small. No sink near small kitchenette but using bathroom was fine. Huge bathroom. Overall great value though.
Close to town. Parking was a bit tight. No sink in the kitchen.
Over night stop
Great value for money, did what i needed and will stay again
Comfortable motel, close to the city centre
The motel was easy to find, the room reasonably big. As the motel was situated near the city centre along a busy road, the noise was a bit much, even the people next door were heard. (They weren't extra loud, but the walls seem to be quite thin, and not sound proof. But all in all, a comfortable enough stay.
Average motel OK for tariff
Stayed one night in studio unit, quite suitable for us.
Shabby motel, no street appeal
We arrived in Blenheim tired and hot and felt very disappointed when we saw this motel. It was on a busy road, looked shabby and the units were very basic. We decided to stay elsewhere.
Good enough
Its pretty good for the price. The room and bathroom are clean. They provided electric fan on summer. The walls are thin so dont talk too loud specially at night. Just be considerate of your neighbour. There was a couple having a domestic argument when we were there and it kept us up. A bit scary because they were shouting and banging the door, then followed by loud knocking and more shouting. Although this is not the fault of the motel.
very quiet and comfortable, excellent staff, .
I only stayed 1 night at the Motel, but I had a good rest there e me a good rest for my long flight home. The staff was excellent , I could not wish for something better.
Good stsy
The room was clean and big. There was a fan but it was not enough. Very good wifi.
Raymar - worthwhile
Everything was comfortable, although bathroom a little narrow. Living space very good, staff friendly. Clean.
Nice Motel.
We didn't need a full kitchenette so this place worked out fine with microwave. Clean and beautiful sheets. Would recommend.
Trip to Blenhiem
Friendly staff easy to contact. Hotel was on the main route out of town so it was easy to find.
the person behind desk needs a bit of PRtraining
when a son and his mother arrive and have 2 rooms booked and the person behind desk asked why we can't sleep together
Short walk to town centre
Good location just a few minutes walk to town centre, shops parks etc. went to pay at motel and they dnt accept credit cards.cash or eftpos only.
Dissatisfied
When me and my partner arrived they forgot that we were coming and had double booked. After this the staff at the front desk didn't know what to do and so I had to explain to do the give us a refund, or find us somewhere to stay. After a bit of haggling we finally got put into another motel for the night. Next day we went back to check in and everything was sweet, until that night where the wall thermostat was broken and at -2°C, that night it was not a comfortable. Would not reccomened.
Cheap and central
Motel was cheap and room had everything we needed. Room and bathroom were clean and towels were changed daily. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room to park our vehicle inside the motel so had to park on the road (didn't have any problems through).
Very convenient situation and easy to find
Very comfortable. good price. Short distance from Picton ferry
Stayed one night only. It was comfortable and quiet.
No heating in room RCD keep popping - have tv on and turn on jug and the rcd would blow?
Nice motel close to city centre.
Nice clean motel close to city centre, clean and comfortable.
Melb kiwis on tour
Ideal for what we needed. Connecting to the Internet was touch and go at times which was frustrating for the teenager.
Clean and Spacious
Very calm and relax place. Have a tidy kitchen. Friendly hospitality. There is a darling kitty to play. It came to our room and slept on my mom's sweater.
Hi there, Really enjoyed our stays the only negative I have with the Hotel is that it needs to have a Credit Card facility or at least let guests know before hand that there is no Credit Card facilities available to avoid any unnecessary awkwardness between guests and proprietor. Otherwise had an excellent stay. Many thanks Patsy Horne
DIY disgrace
On arrival we discovered that the reason we couldnt pay online is because they dont takecredit cards Next there were insufficient car parks largely due to the owners car parked in one of the spaces. So cars were parked everywhere. The fridge was full of ants the bathroom door handle fell off, the shower wall was cracked and the toilet ran all night. We had to take the painting off the wall behind the bed otherwise we couldnt sit up. Reasonable price but it ended there
Close to tow
Unit was clean and comfortable close to town, friendly service
Very central in Blenheim being on the High Street.
Room was very comfortable and the beds were good too. Microwave and kettle in room with crockery, glasses and cutlery. There was also a cooker in a communal area if you wanted to cook a meal. In a good place to tour the vineyards. Found it very good value for money.
Very clean quite motel
Super friendly staff. Cheap and dated but perfect for us. Very clean room would 100% stay here again
Good experience
Very nice and clean. Loved the staff. Bathroom a bit small, but the shower pressure was so good....
Booked but it was full.
Staff rebooked us a place nearby. So can't comment
affordable and clean... what more do you need
First of all, parking is horrible with not enough space for the amount of rooms that they have. Secondly, no air-conditioning in the room or any fans at all...so was very warm at night with the one window in the room open and the two windows in the bathroom (facing the street) trying to get some air flow. Third, was surprised to not have an iron or ironing board in the room at all... It was on check out that receptionist staff said that there was one in reception available for use... so for future reference. Fourth, a plug next to my bed did not work however the one right next to it did... a tad redundant.
Not bad, needs to sort out internet
A reasonable motel for the price, main problem was that the free internet did not reach most of the rooms. When we needed tu use theinternet we had to sit at a picnic table in the parking lot
They ONLY ACCEPT CASH from international travelers
Walls incredibly thin, you hear every sound from several rooms away. There is no facial tissue in the room and the tap in the bathroom is an extended tap as you would find in a kitchen. The WiFi is not available in rooms that are not immediately adjacent to the office, the curtains do not cover the entire width of the entry door and are too thin to block the lights in the parking lot. The owner is untruthful in responding to comments
Nice central motel
great room for the price, would stay again. Central to town so everything was convenient
Pleasant stay
Very nice room and close enough to walk into town, found pizza bar or a very busy nightclub type bar. Bed was a little bouncy.
economy buget motel
the carpet was stained and the fridge was noisy also out side every rooms smoking BBo table set was used for meeting place and phone call at night if remove smoking table set and replace it with just single chair the place will much quieter also when car arrived at night close to your room the room light up due to car light may be with thicker blind will prevint this.
Convenient for ferry users.
We were last to arrive at 9pm off the ferry so had to park on the road. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient for a quick overnight stay. No security stays on the windows so did not feel comfortable to leave the back windows on the boundary open while sleeping. The shower initially was just a dribble but turning a knob above the shower head made the water flow.
Good location
The ideal motel for a visit the wine region and for easy access to the town
Nice stay good customer service
Raymar Blenhiem
We arrived late in the afternoon and found the Motel staff frendly and helpfull. The motel was clean and tidy
Clean but that's about it
The motel is in a good location near town however our whole check in process was conducted with the owner (?) talking to a friend on the phone the whole time. He was talking about selling the motel and if he always greets his guests like this I can understand why he may not be doing too well. The room was clean and tidy however the beds were a bit sunken and possibly need replacing. The walls are thin and we had to knock on our neighbour's door at half past midnight asking them to keep their voices down. Parking is on site however if the motel is full it is first in first served with the spaces and a tad cramped.
The motel was pretty average, there were some damaged items in the room, and the condition was prettty dated. Also they dont support credit cards.
Not bad apart from ladies of the night.
Have a young family and was not happy that 2 prostitutes were working out of the 2 rooms beside us. Hotel other than was good for overnighters.
Great priced units
The units are well priced and definitely all I need for under $100.00. Seem to be really popular they looked booked out.
You get what you pay for
Budget price, comfortable bed, clean. The room layout was a bit odd. There was an area with a microwave and toaster but no sink, although there was a communal kitchen. The parking was inadequate and we couldn't park near our room but the manager was very obliging and helped carry our bags.
great situation in relationship to town
Great situation. Very obliging staff and motel though of the older type very clean and comfortable. Also a bonus of having a shuttle service to the airport.
Mr Cat
Had just one night at the motel. Didn't meet the manager as it was labour weekend, I presume, and he/they were away, so picked up my key from reception where it was left. Did meet an exceptionally friendly and amiable cat who proceeded to follow me into my unit and make himself at home on the bed, which was fine as I am a cat lover. Gave a nice homely feel to the place
Doesn't have credit card facilities
I want a refund for the fact we had to do an international bank transfer which cost $22
Extremely disappointing.
No staff available when we arrived to check in. Whole motel was old and in poor condition. Room facilities were below standard. Inadequate parking.
Good Budget motel
Value for money, very clean ,new bathroom, limited parking. Recommendable.
See you on the way back.
Very quiet and clean.
