Small room, but good value for the area. There is a small elevator that is very slow, but does the trick for getting luggage to the upper floors. The staff is very nice and the place is immaculate.

Close to an underground station and bus stops

I m sorry to bad reviews. I left something in the room and there was no way to give it back. Until that moment everything was ok. But after check out it seems there s no customer care at all…

Great to stay if you want to wonder around notthing hill, portobello market. The room is minimal and simple, but clean it has a window so its good for the price!

We had a lovely time

Nice historic building, but I couldn’t get much info about it even when I asked. Description said there was a restaurant on the property but it was only a bar. “Sauna” existed but heated the whole hotel room because it is cheap quality and doesn’t seal.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, amazing people, very clean! Definitely coming back.

The bathroom had no place to put the shampoo and conditioner when you were in the shower and the shower did not work well.

Highly recommend Ravna Gora Hotel in Holland Park

I came here for 8 nights in September with a friend. We were very pleased with our accommodations: the hotel was quiet, spotlessly cleaned, perfectly maintained and very conveniently located near bus and Tube stops and shops, pubs & grocery stores. The bathrooms are shared but we never had an issue, the hotel was not fully booked so it was never crowded. The manager Marius was very helpful and kind. We did not buy the breakfast as it didn’t look great but we appreciated the 24 hour coffee and tea bar. The mattresses could use an upgrade but other than that in such an expensive city it was a wonderful bargain!

We had a great stay. Staff were super helpful, room was clean and plenty of places to eat within a short walk.

Great stay all round, no fault of hotel but very hot during our stay, the hotel is set back from a busy road , noisy with windows open. Apart from that great location, impeccable staff , everything in the room worked, had a really good stay.

Ravna Gora was a very clean, safe hotel. The room was small but nice and well-kept. It was great if you aren’t spending a lot a time in the room and just need a place to sleep and wash up, but it may be a little tight if you have two people spending a lot of time in the room. If you are larger, note that the basic rooms don’t have much space to walk around the bed; you have to shuffle. But we very much enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The location is great in terms of restaurants, shops and both the Holland Park Tube station and actual park right next door. I would indeed stay here again!

We stayed here for two nights in July. The room itself was TINY! I understand that this is London, but we couldnt even both have our suitcases on the ground. The Tv was about 30cm wide. The room itself was really hot, and there was no air-conditioning, and you could only open the window about 10cm. We had a couple very uncomfortable nights. The beds mattress was so old, we could feel the springs. The shower was great, only very small as well. No extra facilities were provided, eg kettle, iron, etc. The location was wonderul, with a tube station across the road. We were also able to park our car at the hotel for £20 per night.

Kind and accommodating front desk!

Hotel room was quite small with no extras but was clean and fit for purpose! Weather was hot and could have done with a fan but you could open the window fully. Surrounding area was very nice, few shops, bakeries near, felt very safe.

The rooms were small but clean, well priced and modern. The reception was excellent and allowed us to store our luggage and even accepted a delayed bag after we checked out. The Holland Park area is a great location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Ravna Gora hotel is part Hostile, part Bed and Breakfast, all charm. It is not 4 or 5 star, yes, the main road outside can get loud in the middle of the night due to Police sirens just loving to do it. Truly, at 2am the toad is empty and there is no need London Police. Aside from that, which I do NOT hold against the hotel, lies a very quaint establishment. The bed was cozy, and quiet, pillows were okay. The bathroom is quintessential Europe, small. We had a deluxe room that slept 4. 2 doubles that face each other. We made it work because we really weren't in our room but to crash. Some real highlights are the staff, at the desk to greet you at all times . Also the big location plus is you are right across the street from shopping, gelato, a beautiful cafe, a Pret, and the Holland Place Tube station. So walk up to the Nottinghill Market, stroll across the street for a lovely dinner, and pop off to anywhere via the tube. Ravna Gora was a unique choice for me, but if it fits your budget and you dont need POSH center of London accommodations I would suggest here. DO get a room with your bathroom, make sure of that in the room descriptions.

A simple bed for the night. No thrills. Clean. Good location. Shared shower room.

Hot and noisy

Small and perfectly clean room. The bed was really comfortable. Two problems: the room overlooked the main road so traffic noise was a problem even with the window closed. And there was no cold water - all the taps produced plentiful hot water

Beautiful and feasible place to accommodate

Overall, everything was good. However, if you stay in rooms facing the street, it might be a bit noisy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to stay in London.

Perfect for what we wanted

Lovely place in a nice and quiet area with a 2 minute walk to the central line underground. Lovely and clean room and hotel was very pretty.

Windows are not soundproof for night traffic noise

Place is clean and receptionist is welcoming enough BUT If you unfortunate enough to end up in one of the front rooms it’s unlikely that you going to get any sleep because windows are not sound proof and traffic noise goes on all night. Ambulances, police, motorbikes you hear it all night.

Not bad

We had the en-suite quadruple room (#15). Comfortable beds. Tiny bathroom with no venting. Noisy since our room faced Holland Ave. Not much room for luggage or storage. Decent outlets (with USB ports) but only available on 1 side of the room. Bathroom needs floor repair and shower could do with a good scrubbing on the door hinges and corners. No extra toilet paper so we helped ourselves to the shared toilet/WC across the hallway. Breakfast was ok (not included) and you get what you pay for GBP10 per person. No egg but lots of bacon, ham, bread, yoghurt, fruit, cereals, coffee, tea. Made an open cheese and bacon toastie on the little grilling appliance.

A mini fridge for cold water bottles would help We were on the third floor and it was so hot in the room the fans supplied didn’t really help other than push the hot air around and the windows were not able to be opened more to help cool the room down

ROOMS WITH SHARING TOILET/BATHROOM!!!!!

The room and shared areas was in good condition and clean. But I didn't get what I paid for! In section "choose room" there were rooms with shared bathroom, and en-suite rooms. I choose en-suite (as I always do), but I got a room without a bathroom in an 8 rooms floor with just one bathroom/toilet. Also I paid extra for breakfast, as it says in "Reservation 493-883-134" email I received from the hotel, but although I showed that email in the reception, they insisted that the booking was with no breakfast, and I need to pay more. Of course I didn't pay second time for what I've already payed and in the morning I just left

Excellent place, short stay but very happy with Hotel and staff.

This is a great place to stay. It is located right across from the Holland Park underground station. There are a bit of stairs to get up to the main entrance, but once inside you can use the elevator to take your bags up to your room. The complimentary breakfast was very decent. Lots of choice. Rooms are small, but the area is so nice to walk around and convenient to catch a bus. We would definitely stay again!

Clean and friendly staff

I was surprised when I checked in I was told I had no private bathroom or shower and needed to share with others. Although it was always available to me. Check in was fine. Housekeeping staff efficient and friendly. Lounge off the lobby was available for hot drinks. Suggest they put a soda/water vending machine, rather than having guests walking to a grocery shop for them. Hotel can make the revenue. The place was repainted as was the rooms, however small units.

Staff was helpful and polite. Housekeepers were thorough and friendly. Had a fine time staying at The Ravna Gora for 9 days. Close to tube stations, shopping and right on a main roadway for decent walking distances to a varied amount of places.

Tiny room for one person is all I needed. No nonsense check-in and polite staff. Room was cleaned daily and property looked to be kept up in great shape.

I enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and we received a wonderful welcome. The hotel is very clean and in excellent condition. There is a room where you can sit and watch TV, make a cup of tea or coffee and relax. Breakfast is optional. I would definitely stay here again.

Budget boutique hotel that punches above weight

No other budget hotel will have the same charm as this hotel. The hotel is located just off the central line, which is ideal. Also a short walk to Notting Hill, Holland Park and Kensington High Street (and a slightly longer walk to Hyde Park, but very much do-able). Staff are always very pleasant and helpful when I stay, there's a lift, and the rooms are contemporary, stylish and chic. Found them to be very clean and comfortable too, but they do need to invest in proper ventilation and air conditioning, especially in the warm weather.

You advertise this as a hotel. It is not. I was so shocked to find out I had SHARED toilet & bathroom!!! That is for a hostel! There was NO mention of this on the site. Extremely off putting

Nice outlook but poor service inside

1) No phone inside the room and also no passenger lift available, meaning that you need to walk downstairs to contact the reception directly and then walk upstairs back to your room if you need any special requests 2) Temperature of shower water is unstable, it's either too hot or too cold, do not have a point in between 3) Room was too closed to the road and noisy 4) During check out date morning, when you meet the reception, instead of saying "Good morning", reception just remind you to check out before 11:00 which is rude and not respect to hotel guest 5) Blinder cannot fully block the sunlight penetrated to the room 6) Bathroom ventilator was not working 7) I will not recommend this hotel to friends

Friendly staff, great location

Great location for getting in and around London, super friendly and helpful staff. If you need a place to stay and don't mind communal bathrooms, I recommend the stay

Family break

Lovely looking building, great entrance check in was fine the gentleman was very pleasant. Only downside was no bathroom in the room only a shared one between numerous rooms which I hadn’t noticed when booking

Nice property in Nice location but lift to top floor not in use and on first night no parking at hotel so had to park at local Westfield Shopping Centre 15 minutes brisk walk away. Got parking on second night, only 8 spaces available. Bathroom had hairs from previous occupants but room generally clean otherwise and a good size. Staff friendly enough.

Fantastic find.

Stayed overn8ght on a last minute business trip at a nearby Embassy. The location, on site parking and price were key factors in my last minute choice and was not let down in any way. I contacted the hotel to let them know that l would be arriving late at night and concise instructions on the parking entrance were given and a flawless check in was performed. All staff were smart, polite and very professional at all times and they allowed me to leave my car on site whilst I got my visa. Would highly reccomend this hotel to other travellers and will use it again myself if l visit that area again.

Great place to stay at a great price, stay here!

I have stayed here for the past two weeks and can not fault the place. The guy who runs the place called Zoran has been more than helpful and has been extremely polite. The hotel is clean and the service is brilliant. I have already booked to stay the next four weeks in advance. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone and for the price and location to all the shops and commuting routes is brilliant.

It was a very comfortable but compact room and a good price for the area but although I was in the very top floor it had no double glazing and was very noisy There was some kind of generator or something either just the other side of the wall or above the room than was so loud all night that as comfortable as the bed was still woke me frequently so I slept very badly But all else was good

Good for local shops and a few pubs. Very close to tube. Restaurants are quite a walk away; nothing much in immediate area. Traffic noisy from 5am

It's close to the Tube, & the Design Museum. It's a bit noisy during the night, but i have no problem falling asleep.

Room had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was clean and close to the rooms. Great location - you can see the hotel from the tube station. Would use again!

Lovely old property. needs come TLC inside and out. When booking it was not clear enough that the rooms did not have en-suite. There is only one shared bathroom and toilet on each floor for 6-8 rooms, some of which are twin and double rooms. So its a bit of a gamble when you actually get your turn in the morning. Staff were nice, just needs much better amenities and bathroom arrangements. Would rather not have to share

bed was not good

The bed was not good, too soft with a pit in the middle. Combined with a beep noise when I turned around was it difficult to enjoy my sleeping. I couldn’t turn Off the green light above the door which made the room a little spooky. And the Holland Avenue is a busy street with a lot of noise... Positive Point is the beautiful building and the hotel is very easy accessible by metro.

This place is less than 2 mins walk to underground station Holland Park. Pleasure to stay at and will come back if im back in London again.

The hotel is not a hotel but a B&B, the rooms do not look like the rooms advertised. All the carpets are frayed, stained and and some have iron burns. En-suite is the smallest I have encountered. The windows are single glazed so the rooms are very noisy at night. Breakfast if it can be called that consisted of a disgruntled worker, who when I asked why the vegetarian option was she said cereal, toast cheese. There is no cooked breakfast and although they said it was a continental breakfast, putting 1 choice salami and cheese in my book does not make it continental. If you want an over priced B&B near the central line then this is the place for you. Not a place to come to if you have children. Thoroughly disappointed

The location of this hotel was perfect for all the things we wanted to do in London. It is located across from Holland Park metro stop. The room was exactly as described with a shared bathroom. My daughter andi had no trouble with the starting of the shower or the toilet. There was small sink in our room which allowed us a place to brush our teeth. We would easily stay here again. It was a good value.

Love the location! Close to the tube and cafe shops! Walking distance to downtown London!

Right on a busy street, but it quiets down by bedtime.

Staff and service was really nice. I will give a 5. The receptionist was really helpful. His prompt response to request is worth commendation. Although a bit noisy in the room from cars honking outside. Furthermore, the door to room 11 (right beside mine) responds to the use of the main door to the corridor. Anytime anyone uses the corridor, the room door shakes and makes noise. Similar to what most hotels are doing in other climes, I think it would be nice to have the option to reuse towels to save the environment.

Very Helpful Staff

Counted on elevator but was out of order making it inconvenient going upstairs. Front desk Victor and Alex were very helpful and cheerful - excellent!! Room was small as expected. Clean room with private ensuite and WIFI as requested. Basic breakfast. Good and safe location.

Great location and the hotel had all i needed, however they should invest in double glazing. Could hear all the traffic and sirens throughout the one night i stayed

Close to shopping center easy to transportation perfect for a weekend

All the staff are very friendly, special thanks to Victor, the night shift staff, whom we seen most nights when we back from trips. We are going to miss him. The room and bathroom are newly renovated and clean. The most wonderful part about this hotel is the staff will open the main door for you every night when you are back to the hotel. You just feel welcome and warm, like at home. Didn’t mind about climbing the stairs, we just treat it as exercising!!

Cut to the chase. This Hotel is all about Location Location Location. The Staff were all very welcoming and although some fixtures are dated by no means dirty. The Traffic noise is on the loud side however comes with inner city Hotels. My Advice is take advantage of Notting Hill Gate Underground. The station is only a 7 min walk and is serviced by the Central and Circle Lines ( Can be in most places in under 30 min). Notting Hill Gate has a Tesco Supermarket and fast food options for Budget minded. Holland park station is closer but only serviced by central line. Unless it is your wedding night give this place a go and use the money saved on 2 4 1 cocktails in Piccadilly Circus before a show.

Very nice location

The area itself is very nice, the hotel is very close to the underground station and right in front of a bus stop. The building tho is a bit old and one bathroom per floor resulted in some short waiting times at peak times, but nothing unbearable. Friendly staff during the day, but the staff at night could show somewhat more pro-activity on ensuring the guests' comfort. Power outlets had USB connections, which helps a lot travelers who do not have chargers for electronic devices with UK standard.

A typical B&B. Good location. Smooth access to public transportation such as underground and bus.

Didn’t like it

I wasn’t really as described and photos doesn’t match how it is really look in the reality, the alevalor doesn’t work u have to lift ur own luggages and take the stairs, the room is too tiny and cold.

Cute botique hotel that is only roughly a 2 minute walk away from the Underground Station (Holland Park). The hotel workers were very helpful, most especially during check-in when unfortunately the lifts we’re out of service (they helped us carry 4 heavy luggages up a spiral staircase to level 3)! We had an issue with the shower (at one stage we had no hot water) but they were quick to fix the problem. The bathroom was small and decent, maybe it was just me but I had issues with accidentally burning my arm with the electric towel warmer due to how narrow the bathroom was. The rooms were warm and cosy, a great way to end the day when you’ve been sight-seeing in 5 degree London Winter Weather! Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when visiting London!

Very disappointed in this hotel which resulted me not staying and booking another hotel. After a 12hr shift I checked in, had to hold the button on the lift to get to my floor. So lift is unsafe in my eyes. Hallway to room there were stains all on the carpet, room was very small with just a sink. Share toliet and bathroom was dirty and not pleasant looking. I asked to be moved room but due to being fully booked I couldn’t, called up Expedia customer service and hotel still refused to give us a refund. Cost me some money for a room I didn’t even sleep in. Very disappointed...!

Great and nice place

Single night out.

The room with shared bathroom was just below standard as it was small and difficult to move around the Queen size bed as not adequate for an average size couple. Also mattress time to change. May stay here if coming alone as rate attractive.

I wanted a reasonable hotel for a one night stay and this place fitted the bill; room was small, but adequate. Toilet and bathroom shared, but ok. Good selection for breakfast. Only real negative was the noisy road outside, but if you are a good sleeper (or have a room not on that side), then no problem. All in all, for the price, I was satisfied.

No bathroom very annoyed having to share with entire floor.. £6 for breakfast only Toast and coffee provided. Will never stay here again.

Winter experience

Excellent stay with comfortable room and good service. Continental breakfast is satisfactory. Lift available to move luggage to room. Tube and bus stops nearby.

Loved my stay here. Staff were so courteous and polite - really felt welcomed. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable, will definitely be coming back. Hotel is in a great location very close to the Tube.

Lovely old building with clean bedroom and bathroom.

BED BUGS, BED BUGS! Stayed in a room full of bed bugs. The bed bugs hid and came out in the mid-night, they were over the curtain and linens when I woke up and checked. It was so horrible that I could not fall asleep again. Though staff were friendly... but who could help you at the mid-night? Check other reviews and you would find out that they had never fixed the problem. Horrible!!

Great price but everything else let it down.

The hotel is in a great location but nothing is well kept! Even the fire exit sign had been held up with gaffer tape and let out a bright green glow all night! The house keeper walked into my room at 08.40 on my last day, claiming I had lost my key but it was obvious it was to make sure I was up for checkout! A few seconds later I was getting changed! Highly annoying! Not sure I would choose to stay here again!

not good to stay for more than 2 nights. kitchen seems messy. toaster should have been placed outside the kitchen or on the table where the cheese and ham are. first morning we waited for somebody to ask for bread then a guy came out from nowhere which doesn’t fit to serve food by the way he dressed. 2nd morning, a lady in the kitchen i asked where’s the bread and she pointed the bread. She’s kind of not english speaking. She was toasting bread so I ask if i can toast it myself as i didn’t see anybody there to serve. She just pointed the toaster, and so I did.
