I really like it it’s very clean and very comfortable beds and etc and stuff are very helpful and neat overall I like it and this is gonna be my place to stay when I come on a vacation!:)
We really enjoyed the hotel, it's wonderfully varied and high quality breakfast buffet, and the friendly, helpful service from the staff
Needs major upgrade. The ‘renovated’ room we got needed work to meet our Hilton expectations. The first room they gave us was comparable to a flea bag motel. The breakfast was mediocre and the lobby was loud and crowded like a train station.
Nothing like,just staff is friendly
Great clean hotel
I had an amazing view of the Nile River with boats, Tagrir square, Giza pyramids, Cairo tower and Alabaster Mosque. Room was wonderful! Very nice bath and sitting areas.
There is no way that the Ramses Hilton is a 5-star hotel, as is advertised and labeled. At best, it is a 3-star hotel but the bathrooms are more like a 1-star or maybe a 2-star. I booked a 5-star hotel and got a 2-star hotel. It is really completely misleading. I stayed in 3-star hotel (The President Hotel Cairo) in Cairo during the same trip and that hotel was much better in very way you look at it.
the lobby was so noisy, and they did not have change when I pay cash at the check out. I heve never imagined that a Hilton Hotel didn'thave money to give a change to a customer.
Food
Make à request for a blankett when I madr my réservation and I got in the last day
Panne courant durant la nuit, chauffage déficient et bris de tv mais les corrections ont été apportées dès que signalées
5* Hotel with 5* service
Liked the Indian restaurant, Namaste. Breakfast was excellent.
Reception staff seems inadequate to handle queries re New Year Eve celebration if any at hotel..they were only interested in checking in groups interesterest and not individual guest
Sad that they sent such a rude message
Had a lovely room and beautiful view, you can tell the hotel is dated but my room was clean and comfortable. They are clearly understaffed, lots of waiting time for reception. Breakfast is great and the omelette chef was wonderful. His smile made my day and he made the best omelettes. The rooftop bar was great and the pool area very good. What was a real downer when I left was I got an email calling me Dear Mr/Ms and that was really rude and hurtful.
Property is next to the Egyptian museum but streets are basically unwalkable. Hotel is dated, rooms are old and noisy
Had a good stay, very clean and 5 star service
Was a great stay!
The location is very nice Infront the Nile which is amazing but it is really noisy.. the hotel is ok but old .. it really need renovation.. the rooms are ok but the furniture is old as well
Mustafa was in the front desk were very helpful
Best guest service I have received from a hotel. The staff was very helpful and polite, they accommodated us in everyway possible. I would definitely return and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo.
Every thing is available for hotel stay.
Great location Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent breakfast Amazing views of Cairo Excellent facilities
Amazing service and value for the money
The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpfull. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at the hotel restaurant with some local dishes and a frienly staff.
The service here was exceptional. The receptionist went out of her way to give us a wonderful room with a view of the pyramids, Nile and Citadel. And she followed up to make sure we were happy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Horrible city view
The city view was really bad, so we didn’t go on the balcony.
Good property to stay in. Very central.. little tired and needs modernisation in comparison to other Hilton in town but a good property to stay in. Clean and comfortable
I liked the flowery smell all over the lobby. Property is too old, rooms are dark, small balconies without chairs
We had a wonderful stay, great views of the pyramids from our room. Friendly and helpful staff.
This was a very clean and comfortable hotel, and the food in the restaurants was excellent. The traffic noise/honking (even in our room on the 14th floor!) was excessive.
Hotel is very dated and crowded. Checking in and out takes forever and the process is paper based. Not the fault of the clerks. Room was straight out of a 1980 film and the bathroom was damaged in so many levels
Excellent staff.
Great Staff; Very comfortable; Quiet; Excellent Breakfast.
All
Beep beep.
Amazing place, but heaps of traffic noise.
We took an upgrade offered and it was very worth it. Would stay again
Very poor location, the only thing good is breakfast
I like this hotel but it need an update asap ,and this have to be the worst pillows ever ,breakfast is great ,and everyone is super nice and willing to help !
Average experience
This is a safe hotel. Very average overall. I was expecting a five star but just in reality it was just an average 3 international star. Over price Resturant with average food. Shower did not work properly. Fridge was not working.
Its not at all good; service is very poor at front desk and room service very poor. No one comes even after several calls.
Except
Hotel is dated. Indian restaurant in the hotel is outstanding!
I really enjoyed staying at the Hilton and I thought it was comparable to a stay at an American Hilton. I saw previous reviews that said it was difficult to cross the street, but that is a reality of Egypt (its simply a different way of crossing the road). I felt safe, the entrance has a metal detector and security. The hotel staff were polite and my room was cleaned everyday.
Nice view and facility
nice hotel very safe good service staf is polite and helpful.. the waitress DAHAB ALI is very kind. thank you
I loved the Nile view room - looking out on the Nile each morning, going out onto the little balcony. The experienced staff were great, but the interns could have used more mentoring. It’s downtown, so an easy Uber just about anywhere. Walking is a bit more difficult due to traffic - it’s very hard to get to the corniche directly from the hotel, but it’s possible to have a nice walk across the bridge over the Nile to Zamalek, and a walk along the corniche there - and visit Cairo Tower. It’s also a pretty easy walk to the old Egyptian Museum.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Downtown. Good option if you are visiting for business as the rooms are quiet, large and comfortable. It is easy as well to move around the city if you are staying there and the staff at the hotel are very welcoming and friendly.
Great location
Not enough restaurants
We were upgraded to a Nile River view, hotel is a little dated but all in all a nice hotel. The cocktail lounge on the top floor has amazing views.
Reception staff at check in was very poor they took passport and took copy and then just kept walking away talking to other other doing other stuff and left us for more than half an hour when we got to our room the bathroom was dirty everything falling apart. No mini bar in room with this service I am not happy after I paid more to stay here as meant to be nice and am very disappointed with this I have the pictures of how dirty the bathroom and unhygienic the room was
Updating to room and bath are needed. Hair dryers must be requested; however there was no outlet in the bathroom for the dryer. At check in I was given a discount for breakfast but the clerk failed to put it in the computer. I was hounded throughout my breakfast to pay for it. I had to go back down to reception to advise them of this issue. There was no apology or willingness to compensate for the shame it caused me.
Good location, but subpar for a Hilton.

Many thanks Ramsis Hilton is really excellent place
It’s OK
great very great staff
They were remodeling the hotel and it had so much noice and dust
Stayed here a year ago and it was an amazing experience. Returned back expecting the same, was a terrible experience. Old rooms, in desperate need of repairs. Bathrooms, the furniture, everything is in dire condition. Stayed on the 10th floor first, the room was UNLIVABLE, to which the reception gave us another room on the 9th floor, which was almost the same. Not impressed at all. This will be out last stay here, and hopefully the hotel will keep this notes into consideration and works on improvement. Good luck.
Most likely the worst Hilton property in all Hiltons world wide. The Hotel has few if any amenities available, no spa, gym, pool, the restaurants have partial menus, you will not be able to connect to basic internet services. The hotel is filthy and dirty like you might imagine a 1 star or no star hotel. What an utter disappointment. They do not recognize Hilton Honors Gold members, they charge $15 USD for a breakfast worth $3, the entire hotel needs cleaning, they should not get more than $20 USD a night in its condition with its staff and missing any of the services that make a multi star hotel. Horrific experience, highly recommend skipping Cairo Hilton and head for Nile Towers or Sofitel.
My impression the building is old the rooms are old same with furniture. Staff is friendly, the area is a messed but that is life there everyone is busy. Too much smoking cigarettes every where. Always better too pay more to stay in a good hotel
NICE LOCATION ON THE NILE RIVER, 8 Minute Walk to the MUSEUM and not too far from the PYRAMIDS. The staff was very friendly and 24HR GOVT BANK OF EGYPT was inside the hotel. Also It is very safe to book a Taxi from the hotel to the Airport at their counter.
A Mix of Discomfort and Disappointment
My recent visit to Ramses Hotel in Egypt was quite a letdown, to be honest. When I walked into the lobby, I was immediately struck by how small and plain it looked – not at all what I expected. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom. It just didn’t cater to the needs of an Arab guest like me, especially with no water for cleaning – a basic necessity. Plus, the whole hotel was a construction zone with renovations going on, which meant there was constant noise disrupting my peace. And don’t get me started on the elevator! Every ride felt like a scene from a thriller, where it seemed like it could just stop working any second. Showering was another ordeal, with the ancient fixtures and poor water drainage. I’m a big fan of Egypt and its rich culture, but staying at Ramses Hotel was definitely the low point of my trip
Very close to Egypt Museum which is one of major tourist attractions in Cairo. Restaurants are within walking distance. Nice view as the hotel is by the river.
Excellent service
A comfortable hotel with excellent service. The location seems perfect as it's by the Nile and near the museum of Egypt. However the hotel is surrounded by a network of dual carriageways which are almost impossible to cross unless you are a confident local.
This is a very old property that badly needs some renovation work. The air conditioner was barely working and we found it uncomfortable even though our stay was in Jan. Beware if you book this property in summer. Super slowww check in and check out process, they seem to be severely understaffed and you may end up waiting long if you happen to be when a tourist bus is there. The bellboys, security and other staff near reception are more keen in getting some tips than anything else. Do not book unless thee are no other options with rooms available. The only good thing is the location is good near Cairo museum and with easy access to old Cairo.
The staff took very good care of us, the room clean and completely functional. We had everything we needed for a goods night sleep. We were warned about eating food at local restaurants, so ate most of our meals at the hotel and did not get sick. The portions were very generous. The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars is it sits on the corner of a very busy intersection, so crossing the street to walk the two blocks to the museum is like playing "frogger". I recommend, crossing with a group of locals until you get a hang of it. There are no street lights, or pedestrian crossings in Cairo and it's especially bad around this hotel. But once you get across this street, the neighborhood is easy to navigate and felt safe; after my heart stopped pounding from the crossing.
Very lovely staff and nice location.. clean.. excellent service
Property is in the heart of downtown but crossing the street is a challenge. Staff at this hotel is very welcoming, friendly, polite and will go out to serve you. I really enjoyed the hospitality.
Nice hotel but nearly impossible to cross any street
Two hotels: stellar lounges and lobbies, rooms that need an update. Also landlocked for walking around Cairo so have to get a car.
Good hotel, but we cannot safely cross the street to explore the area.
Old hotel with unprofessional staff in front desk ( hydi ) Late in check in process Only the view best thing in this hotel
The property is well taken care of with lots of choice for food. The staff are all very friendly. I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.
Over priced!!! definitely go somewhere else The whole place is under construction they should be discontinuing. Spa is under construction, they didnt have this notice up when i booked my stay
Mohammed at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure our check-in and entire stay were exceptional. Our early arrival at 6 am was accommodated, although we did have to pay an additional fee for the early check-in. While we would have preferred if it was complimentary like other hotels we've stayed at, we were pleased to receive a complimentary late check-out, which made up for it. One minor hiccup during our stay was a glitch between the hotel's system and the travel booking site. As a result, the hotel manager at reception explained that they had to put a hold on the first night's rate on our credit card in order to provide us with the room key. We were assured that the hold would be cancelled within 15-21 days after our check-out, so we hope that will be resolved smoothly. Despite the ongoing construction at the hotel, the nightly rate should have been cheaper. However, the spacious room and the spectacular river view made up for it. It was truly a treat to wake up to such a breathtaking sight every morning. I must also commend the housekeeping lady on the 16th floor. She did an outstanding job and her friendly demeanor truly made a difference. Daily we’ve enjoyed freshly prepared desserts at the lobby, accompanied by a talented live piano performer. It created a delightful ambiance and added to the overall experience of our stay. Additionally, the hotel's restaurants offered good food.
Very clean hotel undergoing renovations We felt very safe there and staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great. And other restaurants were available at different price points. The roof top bar was amazing.
This is a very busy hotel with some lovely staff and I am conscious that it is being renovated, but in the meantime the standard is well below the quality of any Hilton hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world. My room hasn't been cleaned properly, the furniture and fittings are very old and it took 7 hours for the hotel wifi connection to work - despite me following up
this is an old hotel. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. It’s super old the carpet the bathrooms. In the Europe or America, this hotel would be at the very best a Two star hotel. lobby is nice but that’s about it.
Pretty average. Nothing special. Nothing bad, just nothing to write home about.
Staff was great. Hotel is undergoing renovations which are needed. Neighborhood is sketchy and not walkable. However, the location is very close to the Egyptian Museum which is fantastic. Food is good. This property will be outstanding after renovations are completed.
Service at the restaurants
Middle
Hotel is located i the center of a traffic jungle and walking anywhere was frightful and dangerous for us . We like to walk and explore and this was a total waste of our time . T
Amazing Service
Amazing service from Hadeer at front desk. She was so kind and professional. Restaurant and bar was very good. The gym facilities could use more machines and cardio equipment. Overall very pleasant stay
Stayed in lower Floor, not executive level and the place smells like an ashtray. Reminded me of 2star hotels back in the United States. Breakfast was good, staff were great, but the conditions of the room were absolutely made me depressed.
Elevators wait is very very long every thing is out dated the lobby is very old and crowded
Couldn’t do enough. Was on executive floor 30 and loved every minute!
All Average
It was excellent, clean with a very friendly and helpful staff. My thanks to Zamah Zaki,Shanda Sami and especially Emad Fawzi A Kereem whom provide me with top service in breakfast restaurant. But I was not impressed with the pricey food and drinks in the hotel. I also was not very impressed with state of pavements outside the hotel which was very hazardous and dangerous especially at night. Kamran London
Good location
At the Front Desk they told me that they are going to give me a better room but they sheeted me and gave me a room very dirty and AC wasn’t working and the furniture was dirty and very old .
Pleasant Cairo stay.
The service and hotel on the whole made for a pleasant stay. There seemed to be a few issues with the elevators, though in fairness they are in the middle of working on them (with one side out of service completely). The room was okay but could use a refresh as well with a dated and well worn room. Expected a bit higher standard in this regard from a Hilton property, but on the whole enjoyed the stay.
Awful experience. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Smoke coming from the vents. Smoking indoor was allowed.
Breakfast was not good , my wife got an issue right after first day breaskfast
The breakfast was very good. The staff members Ms Doaa Mohamed, Mr Mohammed H were nice. In particular, there was a gentleman who served us during the mornings of June 18-21 and 22 who was especially courteous. I wish i had written down his name. The elevators require an upgrade. We were provided with rooms on the renovated level which provided a great view of the area, but they were too close to the elevators. The covering for the bed was stained but was changed immediately when requested. Stay was pretty good overall. I would stay there again.
Ramses Hilton | Hotel in Cairo | Travala.com
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful including checkin, bar and restaurant staff and cleaning staff. The hotel is very central to downtown Cairo and it is easy to walk many places.
