Close to airport

Had a long overnight layover in Shanghai so this was the perfect option close to the airport while visiting the city. I only wish we had more time to spend in the room than a few hours, as it was so large and clean and comfortable!

Service not great, nice room and good value

I used the hotel for a long stop over. The hotel was clean, large room with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The shower was cold water. The reception staff could not find my booking so it took about 1/2 an hour to check in so that was really annoying. I could not connect to WiFi and they said it was my phone but had no issues anywhere else. The main reception area was really nice with lots of seating.

Good for staying in transit as 5 mins from the airport via shuttle. It’s an airport hotel

Bad food, tv didn’t work, sauna not working. Overall it’s a very basic hotel only good for a quick overnight.

Great option between flights

Great airport hotel conveniently located when you need a quick place to lay your head between flights out of Pudong. Clean, comfortable with easy access to the airport. They have a regular airport shuttle to/from the airport, or a 25 yuan taxi ride.

Very nice hotel. Polite and friendly staff. Free shuttle bus to the airport that comes every half an hour. Good breakfast. Nice room.

Great place for a long stopover. Very close to the airport. A free shuttle bus or a 16 RMB taxi trip. About 5 minutes away. Nothing else in the vicinity, its in an industrial area. Since its close to the airport the sound of planes is prevalent throughout the day/night. The hotel thoughtfully provide ear plugs. Breakfast buffet was 138RMB. Plenty of choices, western and eastern food. It was not great but ok. I would stay again in similar circumstances and would recommend for such.

It was fine.Getting from the airport on the Ramada was not at all clear. I ended up taking a taxi.

Got ripoff from airport taxi asking concierge on how to contact China better business bureau and got a answer call the cops. Very poor service.

Only stayed for one night during our layover. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they couldn't find our reservation made through a worldwide third-party travel site. We had to wait too long around 22:00 for them to find it even though I provided confirmation of booking through my app. When you've flown quite a bit and are tired it's not ok to make people wait like this. Other than that our stay was pleasant, room was clean and we hung out in the lounge for many hours until it was time to go to airport. You can work peacefully in the lounge. The restaurant has many cuisines to choose from and food is pretty ok.

This hotel served its purpose of providing me with a comfortable place to sleep at the aiport, before an early morning flight. The restaurant was perfectly adequate, and the hotel was quiet, in spite of being at the airport.

Girl at desk was rude and rolled her eyes. Room smelled like smoke was supposed to be non smoking. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Stayed a couple nights for business. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice bar/lounge area and the restaurant had a great dinner menu along with a great breakfast buffet that catered to everyone.

Air conditioner did not cool room to desired temperature. They had a humidifier but it was noisy

Perfect airport hotel

Great hotel to stay in if you need to be at Pudong Airport the following day for a flight! Reception was very nice and professional. The room itself was very comfortable with earplugs provided to block out the airport noise. The only complaint I have is that they had not prepared my room with the non-feather bedding I had requested in advance. When I phoned reception, they sent a housekeeper to change the bedding immediately.

Staying for one night before my flight, I found the room clean and tidy, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location convenient. They have a shuttle service to and from the airport, which is super cool.

Typical airport hotel. It’s quite dated but functional. Bar was a bit weird, but served a selection of beers and served some western food. Shuttle bus is convenient!

Good convenient hotel to airport. I’ve stayed here 2 times on different occasions. The shuttle bus that is easier to figure out and take from hotel to airport vs airport to hotel. Drinks are over priced in restaurant but in house convince store is great. Breakfast buffet was great. Dinner was ok; recommend to order local menu options and not the American or other nationality foods.

Had a very unpleasant check-in experience, slow staff, rude foreign customer who is in another line, while try to cut in my line for the check in service. ~130$ per night is normal hotel charge for most hotel in US, but in China this is quite pricy, sadly, the service and the house facilities fail to meet the standard.

Walking distance to PVG. Easy hotel to stay at. Only complaint rooms smells of stale cigarette.

Property was close to airport but not walkable, room was nice and staff friendly but was very isolated from Shanghai itself and there was only industrial properties around it, took about 45 minutes by taxi to get to points of interest or the city. As a place to sleep in between flights it was pretty good if you didn't want to see the city

Excellent place for staying in Shanghai location. Room is clean with all facilities in perfect conditions. Very close to the PVG airport with free transportation within 7 minutes. Good restaurant with free breakfast, paid menu for lunch as well as dinner. Worthy in every aspect.

Excellent choice for in-transit at PVG airport. One negative is shuttle from airport every 1.25 hrs vs 0.5 hours from hotel. Also, coffee station at 05:00 am would be a nice perk for early morning flights.

Close to the terminal, nice room and comfortable. But shuttle to Ramada only each 75min! Definitely not enough

I stayed at the hotel because my flight arrived so late and I didn’t want to bother my parents midnight. The hotel provides the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. And the check in process was quick even though it was late. The hotel room is clean and decent size. I enjoyed the hotel breakfast. There were a lot of choices. There is a ramen station that you get fresh made ramen.

Just to update some earlier reviews, the bus service is now more regular. You need to catch it across the road outside entrance 9 in terminal 1, but they run every 30 minutes for most of the day. They also have a schedule posted in the hotel. It as clean but it does need some money spent on it. Only 5 minute's drive from terminal so taxi drivers may be reluctant

Clean and close to the airport. Room was noisy and hot even with the AC and it is late November

The room was too hot, air conditioner did not work well, wine was terrible, i foud difficult to communicate as not many people speak English, They did not give me my invoice for one night y will have problems with my company because of that.

Good Location

Its a airport hotel, don't expect too much, but very satisfied for what the purpose for the hotel is.

A clean room in a relatively lifeless hotel. Like a lot of hotels the fitness area wasn't great. The key feature was it is close to the airport.

Give me a pizza and hold the smoke

Hotel is lacking what it used to be - was what was looked forward to after a long trip through China. TV has been reduced (only four channels in English), and room service is unable to make pizza or sandwiches anymore (they say they also can't make these in the restaurant). Restaurant food is B-grade at best. No smoking also is posted everywhere in the hotel but woke up to a room filled with smoke - no consequence was done to fix this issue to find/solve this problem.

Hotel is nice but no convenience stores nearby. Better get all the stuff in the nearest station before going to the hotel

Great hotel, update food menu.

Hotel is in great shape and convenient and I bought a couple of things from the gift shop. I have 2 complaints. 1) please add instructions to the hotels.com website or have your own website working that gives instructions on how to get from the terminal to the shuttle and show shuttle schedule. I missed the email that was sent when I was running around trying to find the pick up. There are no signs in the airport so it's difficult. I spoke to 5 different people in the hotel and 4 people in the airport before finally the english person at the hotel said it's across the street from #9 exit at T1. lol. 2) Please remove the Chicken Tika Marsala from your menu; it was made with tomato spaghetti sauce on yellow rice and was super gross. I was so hungry I ate it. I explained to the waiter it had the wrong sauce. Where's my basmati rice? Only serve items you are good at making. No one used to eating Indian food would like this or anyone else. Or rename it to Chicken Spaghetti in Nan!

Good, except for transport from the airport

Fine hotel to stay very near the airport (but not close enough to walk). Comfortable, clean and good room service. But shuttle from the airport not frequent enough at night, and no pick up spot marked. Had to call the hotel, then wound up taking a taxi - and the driver made a fuss because it was a short fare.

Excellent nights stay. Close to the airport and good shuttle service. Spacious clean room. Carpet was tired but other than that we were very impressed. Breakfast was brilliant too - great buffet.

Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and employees are friendly. The breakfast buffet omelette station not available the last two stays in 2023. The Brick oven pizza not in use. Dinner menu was limited. Hotel is not up to pre-covid standards possible due to staffing level. Airport shuttle also picks up for the Holiday Inn

very impressive hotel

When we arrived we had to handle our own luggage. We had large suitcases and work bags. There was no offer to help us from the concierge desk and had to struggle taking our bags to our room I asked about airport transfers at the reception desk and for a timetable but was told just to stand outside the hotel entrance when we were ready to go to the airport and a shuttle bus would be available every 10 mins. When we arrived for the bus the following morning we were told the next shuttle bus would be in 35 mins. We then had to call a taxi as we couldn’t wait for the bus. When I got to my room, after checking in I couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi. I called reception and the person who answered the call told me to wait and hung up. Each time I called reception (3 times) they hung up the call. I have stayed here many times and this was by far the worst experience. I will not be staying here again

Very convenient to the airport

The issue is the transportation. No taxi wants to take you but the hotel shuttle is one and half hour per trip. I end up walk for half an hour with my luggage under sunshine at 39c

Excellent service

The hotel is close to the airport and offers free transfers from the airport. But, the free transfers are not frequent and also not flexible – we had to wait for 1 hour and 30 minutes if we wanted to use the free transfer. As the hotel is close to the airport, we had great difficulties to arrange a taxi as the driver was so reluctant to take such short ride. The infrequent and inflexible transfer totally defeats the purpose of choosing this airport hotel. In addition, the bedding was rather damp.

Very very poor service at the front desk when I arrived very slow considering it’s supposed to be an international hotel. Very few people spoke any English at all it was a nightmare

Bar & Lounge still not reopened since Covid, this was not mentioned either by Expedia or Hotel website. Shuttle from airport does not run regular from Airport, ended up getting taxi instead of having to wait for over an hour for the shuttle bus.

Clean and friendly

Booked this hotel on the understanding it was actually at PVG airport, ie within the building. It is not. It is about 3km away and the shuttle bus is not regular. I landed at 23:00pm and the next bus I was told was going to be at 01:30am. Being so close, the taxi drivers did not want to take me, so I had to argue to get the driver to take me. Not what I needed so late after a long flight!

Pretty good and reasonably priced. The dining options were a bit chaotic and slow but the shuttle arrived on time, the room was well appointed and very clean.

Shanghai Ramada - Pudong CVG

Food offering on Wyndham website mentions buffet meals throughout the day - this is not true for dinner - a la carte only Room is comfortable but a little noisy due to air traffic but this was expected so is not a negative.

The hotel is convenient for an over night stay before an early morning flight. The airlines staff stays there so cannot be too bad. Building is older. Staff does not speak English and very short with us. Fortunately me wife speaks Mandarin. The hotel is non/smoking but must have been smoking before since the room stunk.

Airport shuttle service is not good.
