The location was good. Lots of food in area and laundry. Rooms are small with limited room for larger size luggage, but that maybe because it’s Hong Kong. Our safe did not work, the shower drain did not drain and the floors were not vacuumed. Hardly, the standards I am used to for a Ramada.
Good location, very convenient. Will be back definitely.
This hotel has terrible condition. The room is small, which is expected for many hotels in HK. However, the property has very dirty bed sheets. When I checked in, I noticed that the bedsheets had even clear wrinkles from the previous guests. The pillows clearly smells like someone else has slept on. It is not the smell of humidity (which can be normal in southern part of China), but it is the smell of hair. Overall, it was a terrible experience staying at this hotel.
The property was easy to find, had easy public transit within walking distance and was quiet during my stay. Checkin was simple and checkout was even easier. The biggest downsides were that the bed was super hard - I've actually slept on floors that were more comfortable and the WiFi was unusable during most times of the day, making working remotely impossible, requiring a hotspot, costing me more money. The terrible bed and WiFi were my only complaints.
Property is VERY outdated. Some staff were very nice, other staff was rude. Rooms are extremely small. Room was clean but carpet looked gross. The pictures are very deceiving to the actual hotel looks and condition.
Good stay. Rooms are small, but expected in Hong Kong. Was not the best location, little far from central. Staff very friendly. Room decor a little outdated, showers are quite short.
The room is nice for budget travelers. It’s very small though. Like the shower is about 50cm in width so the entire time the shower curtain was clinging onto us (and we are slim people!). The shower is not big people friendly. Other than that it was ok
Hotel room is small but I am fine with it as Hong Kong hotel is expensive, but I wouldn’t give a 4* rating for this hotel. They have a fridge in their description but it doesn’t work so is misleading. Their power plus is very inconvenient as is under the table and that’s the only power plug available. Unless you pull the bed out to get more power plug. Location is okay and quiet, as is walkable to mtr and tram. I wouldn’t recommend guest to stay in this area if you travel to Kowloon often as the trip does take up some of your travel time. If you choose to book this hotel than stay on the island side to void so many public transfer.
Its good
Poor condition Very small and cramped
Besides extremely poor WiFi, everything is what it claims. Cleaning staff at L26 is excellent in providing her services in tidy up our room.
Toilet was too small, no easy to use. Hot tub tap only provide warm water, not comfort to have a bath tub. Floor carpet is not clean.
I had a pleasant stay for 5 nights in HK, good location very convenient with the public transport to get around the city and to airport by the train, except the room was a bit tight, however it was really clean, HSK doing good job cleaning my room every day for me, when I’m going out, last but not Lear to mention amazing view to the Harbour from the 29th floor :)
Its not that best its not that bad
It's in my favourite area to stay in Hong Kong, so many good food options nearby and easy to get to. The rooms are older and nothing fancy but comfortable. The staff are great and friendly, especially the housekeepers. I've stayed here a few times and will again
Was more in the subwrbs while its safe its a little more grimey then the more city places everywher is acessable by trains and trams . Rooms are very small but its to be expected in hongkong yoh need to put your suitcase under bed oht of the way . Was dissapointed the pool qas closed as it was 30 degrees celcius
Easy to get around
Easy to get around. Lots of food places around.
room is small. toilet is too close to the bathtub and i can't even seat normally. no space to put my luggage.
The room was very small. This got to be the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
Noise
It seems like a lot of people didn't like the hotel. I've got no complaints at all about my 4-day stay: I had a decent room, clean, good view - quite attentive service, too. Flash place that it is, there are no doubt much better hotels in Hong Kong - at a price. There are also much worse, for more than this cost.
Great location and the place isn’t to bad I would stay again
Great hotel
Small room
Room is very small
At 8 in the morning it will take you 20 minutes to go down from 28 floor to the street level. Bed is too short( i am 1.80). The toilet is ridiculously small , i cannot recommend to a person taller than 1.40
I was charged far more that they advertised online. The room was dated with a good need of redecoration it was so small that the sink was in the room not in the bathroom, it had a tiny bath full of old marks and stains. If you sat on the toilet your knees where so closed to the bath that was ridiculous, stain and holes on the towels, only one bed table, no wardrobe to hang any clothes, you need it to put your suitcases on top of the bed to be able to get your things out! The overall experience was horrible. They claimed to be a 3 to 4 star hotel and that is a complete joke! I have never been so disappointed on a stay, the photos of the rooms looks nothing like I had! It was a total Rip off! I will never book anything on Orbitz or Wikipedia!
Space too small and lifts too small
No hot water. 😕
Lie. Find better hotel for this price. Booked a smoking room with a seaside view in a hotel that advertised pool on the rooftop. Got a room With a view on garbage yard, non-smoking and notification that “pool is broken”. Went to last floor to check that broken pool I’ve paid for and it was completely fine. While all the signs tell that while “pool is broken”, you can still use rooftop as a viewing deck and coworking, very rude security guard forces you to go down. Tried to ask receptionist to change a room to upper floor with a view like advertised, but he said that I had to pay more money. From your room you also here staff on the floor. Stayed here 1 day, does not recommend.
So dirty and very stinky. Hotel staff is not approachable and not helpful
Great location and nice staff.
bad
Easily accessible to public transportation, lots of restaurants all around hotel. Advertised roof deck swimming pool has been closed and under repair since Oct of 2023. Rooms are cramped with no closets and no room for suitcases. Only a queen size bed and a single stool as furniture. Toilet smelled bad and mosquitoes under the bed. One restaurant in hotel with lousy buffet; minimal selection and quality. Refused to give us a late checkout even though the hotel was not full capacity.
Close to local transport. Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very small
Veey small. The bathroom was very difficult to use because of the size
the smallest rooms I've ever lived in. The website says that the pool is open, although it is closed for renovations until October. The cleaning lady may wake you up early in the morning and then say “oh, sorry, I made a mistake.” besides, the cleaning ladies don’t knock, they just open the door, they don’t care whether you’re inside or not.
Small room. No view.
This please is HORRIBLE, do not stay here, dirty area ( it’s the fish market area so very very disgusting smells all around) rooms are in horrible conditions, beds are as hard as a rock, POOL IS SEASONAL only open from July to September ( it doesn’t make sense it’s hot all year around here it’s April and it’s 90 degrees) do not stay in this horrible place
In a busy area with lots of local food and markets It is in the congested area of town
location is superb, the food is nice for breakfast. the service is ok too.. everything was fine just didnt like the smell of the room.. it smoky..
Not pleased
The hotel was surprisingly under par. The hotel appearance is old and dark. The rooms are very small. There was two people on this trip and with luggage’s, it was uncomfortably tight to move around freely. There was no luggage rack, no closet, to put your luggage on. It has a total of two plugs in the entire room. Bathroom was small and the floor was always wet. Towels were at a limit. And the room felt damp and musty. The breakfast choices were limited, tasteless, and not fresh, due to low turnover. The only things that was convenient was that the hotel location was walking distance to the MTR station. Some staff were helpful and some were not.
They made my first solo travel easier. Very good overall.
Great staff service - in all aspects.
The quality of the hotel is terrible. Not deserve to be Ramada name. The bed of the room is horrible as the room is very small. The service is low
Close to transportation and food.
Location Location Location. That is what this place has going for it. Lots of excellent local eats, we tried a different place every day, for low $ and high local flavor. You are also a two minute walk to the Say Ying Pun mtr station so ez peezy to get around. On the not so great side, are of course the rooms which are tiny, but cobaidering the price it is OK
Convenient location
The hotel was in a convenient area, a short taxi ride from the central train station. Check in is on the 5th floor, which isn't sign posted and the lifts cannot cope with the amount of people using them, especially when some are out of service. This makes for a long wait for the lift! The room is small, dark and old fashioned with no wardrobe. However is does have a fridge and hairdryer. The room is cleaned daily and bottled water is supplied. The rooftop swimming pool was closed and we were unable to gain access to the rooftop, to check on the view, as it was blocked so that you cannot get out of the lift. Luggage can be left in the lobby after check out.
Easy walk to the central district. Inexpensive good local food available close to the hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Daily cleaning staff is good and attentive to details. Room is small, but okay for 2.
Bed linen not replaced washroom to small also small space
Honestly, you'd expect a lot more from a Ramada
Good location, the bathroom smelled bad the whole time
Good price slow lift
Decent hotel for the price. Rooms very small but this is standard for HK. Location is great 2 minutes walk to MTR ( although you need to walk a further 10 minutes in the station to get to the train ) . The only issue was the lift does get busy and you need to wait for quite a while during rush hour
The property is easy to find and check in. The parking staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The bathroom toilet is very crowded and the elevators are too small.
You get what you paid for, does not feel like a four star
1300 per night is not cheap. Like a hostel. Cannot compete with Macau hotel.
Its too small no space you cant move while Taken shawer to the point the sink is outside ..no sofas or chair your gest stay in the bed
Easy to walk to places
15 mins to get off a lift to lobby....
Well located business hotel
The hotel is very well located, walking distance from the central area (after MTR stops). Rooms are really too tiny to be comfortable for more than a night. My toilet bowl was so close to the bathtub that it impossible for me to sit straight on it (I am only 178cm), the beds are quite hard and the overall decoration is chinese kitsch, which could be revamped. The staff of the hotel was helpful and kind.
Good location, room needs some work
The harbour view room I got was quite small and the room could use a refurbishment as it is showing its age, though the view itself was good. Location is good being right near the MTR station (even if it is a solid 5 min walk from that entrance to the ticket gates) and shops are plentiful there.
No wifi in my room
Unsafe, dirty and not what they show you when you book. No bathrooms
Dont have any problems during the stay. The hotel is quite rundown. But otherwise all is good.
It was a good hotel.
The bed and shower were awful. The room lighting was very poor. I could not wait to leave the room
It’s fine. Feels a little rundown, it’s basically clean but could do with a proper bit of maintenance and deep cleaning. The water in the shower is fine, but doesn’t really get hot enough. for the price I would probably stay again for tbh, but not if I was planning to do more than just sleep there.
The worst thing about this very rundown hotel was the great inconvenience of a few elevators to transport all the many guests up and down the building. With so few elevators and such a tall building, there was a huge "traffic jam" of people trying to get out near check-out time.
poor air conditioning
It’s takes time to wait for the elevetor specially in the morning!
As other reviews have mentioned, the property needs a facelift. I still booked it because of the location and was fortunate enough to get a room high with a view. They do make you wait until 2pm for check in regardless of whether your room is available or not. There was cleaning staff who made up the room daily but it's a rushed job. When I arrived, there was still someone else's hair in the bathroom etc. For a couple of nights it's fine if you just need a good location (MTR right next to hotel 2 stops from central or walkable 20 mins). My room was over $100 USD a night but this is standard in HK where accommodation is small and overpriced. I would look for better options when I come back to HK.
Room was Very dirty, small and was in need of renovation. This hotel certainly is not 4* and I would probably give it 1* Also the bathroom is so small that you can’t sit on the toilet properly!!!
Easy and convenient
Very bad experience dirty floors dirty beds. it is not a 4 star hotel the bed are very hard as if you were sleeping on the floor. The picture look very good on Expedia but do not reflect the state and deterioration of the room and hotel in general.
This is the most run down hotel I have stayed in. The only reason I stayed was I could not be refunded or would have left as soon as I saw the room. The curtain rail and track were broken. The toilet didn’t flush properly and continued to leak constantly. There was hair in the bathroom on floor and on bath mat. The towels were thin and needed replacement. The room was not serviced and towel replacement had to be done by ourselves. The hot water was only warm and not hot enough. If you are over 6 foot in size you cannot use the toilet without issues.
Will not return
Not very good to stay
Not likely to recommend to others
There is nothing except cheap
The shower facililty in the bath room is terrible and unsafe. Quiet slippery flooor when take shower.
Dirty it looked like the room had not been cleaned garbage in trash can no maid service you had to go to the basement and get towels and bottle water ramada in name only bathroom so small you have to put feet in bathtub to use toilet
Basic hotel stay and most importantly near by to MTR entrance/exit point (although it is quite some walk away to the station itself). Liked it that I had chosen the harbour view and it was assigned as requested. View was great. Hotel managed to allow early check in assumingly there is not many staying due to the restrictions and I have somewhere to safely wait for the PCR test results to be out. There was I think 3 or 4 lifts and during this time, there wasn't a long wait to take the lift up or down.
Not happy
No cleaning for 10 days, they say due to covid but other hotels cleaned their rooms, I was charged 10% service charged but got no service
Upgrades needed
Hotel is OK but it desperate need of upgrades It like carpets haven’t been changed since the early 2000’s
not habour view, but having a big window facing south with good sun light during day time and night view of hong kong. the location is so handy for MTR, bus, food, restaurant and wet market. the room is reasonable size in one of the highest land values in the world. the sink is outside the bathroom but big. good for washing. the little bridge is so tiny, just around 10' deep, 15' high and 12' wide, wasnt cold. I was there in early Oct. no table in the first room which i was given. I asked for table but that is a foldable table with no chair. the window bench or the bed were too high for the table. need to asked a chair. the window bench was so wide for additional storage. quick service after requested by phone.
Worth it with this price, pretty large room n convenient location
Worst feelings for Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View
Terrible,no water provided, no teabags, coffee provided. No hangers in the room for hanging cloths. Too poor taste of all items in the room. There are lot of very cheap guesthouse whose conditions are far better than this worldwide chain hotel. Very much disappointing experience!
will come back and stay again
Very good hotel and very reasonable pricing
Go elsewhere
4 star facilities, not so much. Don't even have face towels. Lack of professional cleaning especially during the pandemic would expect to at least not see dust on surface. 3 star hotel would be better
do not stay there.
Room furnishing Dilapidated, very poor Front desk manner, dirty, unpleasant,
Internet connect was sporadic. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Decent if basic, and great value for money
Very decent considering the price. I did my covid quarantine there so had little interaction with staff, but they were friendly enough. Room could have been more thoroughly cleaned. I often found hairs and small pieces of dirt on the carpet.
Nice location, reasonable condition of the room, friendly personnel
Small
Well worth the money. Cannot swing a cat in the room. If you need to do a number two you have to be able to put your legs in the bathtub. In other words. it is small. Good location, good price though.
Cleaning staff tried to rush in in the morning thinking I had checked out but it was a week before my check out date.
Great value to what you paid for
Location is good and convenient with price is unbeatable
Pretty good for the low price during Covid
Pretty good for the low price during Covid. I would demand more if I was paying the usual price. Some staff friendly, some staff not so much. TV selection is pretty terrible, it could do with improving by adding a wider selection of channels. We were able to get a mountain view room on the 36th Floor, which was nice. Also, when asked, the hotel provided me with a chair so I could sit at the pop-up desk in the room. Bed was comfortable and the room, especially the bathroom, was clean and bright.
Small room, air conditioning not work or very weak
Air conditioning not working. They don't provide shaver by default. You have to ask for one. It's the disposable version you normally get but that the plastic tube supposed to contain shaving foam and it's empty instead. Unbelievable.
Near to MTR, close to eateries but windows can’t be opened.
