The staff was very helpful and flexible with our travel plans.
The only thing I didnt like was you couldnt turn down the heat it the room
It was convenient to center of town. Food good in restaurant attached to hotel. Not many restaurants to choose from in Juneau
Front desk staff Nate was great! Helped us celebrate our anniversary
Well priced for a budget hotel. Good location, walkable .Excellent restaurant on site . Friendly helpful staff ✔️
The gentleman at front desk for checkin was great. Easy walking to all Places in Juneau
This was a fine stay in Juneau.
The hotel was nice, loved our room, would have been nice to open the windows a little more, due to the heat. The windows all have screws so you can only open them about 2 inches. When we were checking out, I looked under the bed for anything we left and found 12 Hard Mikes and 1 IPA, unopened that must have been left there, either by the people before us, or whoever. That was weird, apparently, they must not clean/look under the beds.
The room was nice and spacious. The staff friendly and helpful. It was great to be within walking distance of town.
Clean, with friendly staff. Thin walls, though, meant lots of noise from adjoining rooms.
More than adequate. Large rooms. Could use a renovation.
Great customer service.
Way too expensive!!!
Close to everything, great views
Since there are very few hotel options in Juneau, the Ramanda Inn has no incentive to change. In simple terms, I support most reviews. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!
Modern but Soggy
Modern hotel in the heart of Juneau. However, there was a lot of rain and being located in the daylight basement, water started seeping into the room. We heard apologies but no compensation.
Staff were awesome.
Great shower
Large rooms. Really nice staff. The restaurant was excellent.
Lester, the manager, accommodated us by putting our ice chests full of frozen fish in their freezer
Pricy for what you get.
Not worth the price
Hotel is old, front desk was not very friendly or helpful. If you stay in 415, beware. Room is so sloped on the floors that you feel like you have been drinking trying to walk. Room is extremely hot!!! They have screws in the windows so you csn barely crack them open. We had 2 fans running constantly and it still was miserable. The view is fantastic, but it would be nice if the windows were cleaned as they had bird poop all over the bedroom window. Beds were comfortable, but there was a hot blanket on them that you would have had to take all the sheets off to remove. The room is big, and the hotel is quiet. Easy to walk places. For the price, not worth it.
No elevator to basement floor, view of indoor parking garage, no heat or AC, smelly rooms, sticky floors, unhelpful staff.
Central location. Property run down and old. Tv didnt work well
Nice staff, location. Property a bit worn
It was very expensive, I get it, it is Alaska. Still there should be something for your money. It was mediocre at best. Our window was ground level, and no elevator to reach lower level. Nothing really wrong, other than the price. Nothing really good either.
This hotel needs to be updated, especially the heating system. There was no thermostat temperature indicators in the rooms, only a dial that indicated hotter and colder. We didn't even unpack in the first room it was so hot. We moved to a smaller room and they weren't able to credit us the price difference, but gave us restaurant vouchers. It was so hot in the hotel, they kept a door in the restaurant partially opened. The second room seemed a bit cooler, but we still opened the window. Unfortunately, it faced the parking lot and major roadway, so the noise kept us up. The manager was helpful and found us a third room in the basement reserved for pet owners, so no carpet. At that point, we didn't care, just wanted to sleep in a room that didn't feel like a sauna. Would not recommend this hotel. Maybe after an upgrade. We stayed there because it was next door to the Juneau culture center where we were meeting for our Nat Geo cruise.
Rooms are large. Older facility but clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and efficient.
very nice room
My room was in the basement and locked out on the sidewalk. It was hot and there was no thermostat. The TV did not work.
The staff at the desk was very helpful with our unique situation by ensuring we all the items needed to make our stay more comfortable
This is a run down hotel , I paid almost $1000 usd for 2 nights and they didn't even clean the room , the chairs are falling apart, the bathroom door dosen't close or lock , you stick to the floor when you take your shoes off ( cleaning supplies? ) it is just a run down hotel and i would not recommend it to anyone, but the pub was good as was the breakfast restaurant.
Nothing worked, needed a lot of TLC to bring it up
all of it good
This worked fine for our purposes. The room is big and has tons of storage. The whole place felt a bit dingy. Super good location for museum and capital !
One night in Juneau
We were very happy with our stay at Ramada by Wyndham.
Nice spot in Juneau
Great spot in Juneau. Walkable to most areas and a beautiful view. The room was super comfy and clean. Would highly recommend!
Terrible room
This place caters to the cruise industry so book through them unless you want a basement level room with no elevator (that was hard on my elderly husband). The room was spacious but the refrigerator buzzing at night required unplugging. Not the best hotel experience although the staff was cheerful and accommodating.
Older Hotel but very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Pretty good location
The property is very centrally located and convenient to everything within walking distance. It was disappointing that there wasn’t transportation to and from the nearby airport The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful
Staff was rude. We wanted to change rooms as the first room we were given, 101, was terribly musty adn would trigger my asthma.. the front desk clerk told me that I picked the wrong vacation destination as Alaska is humid and cold… They said that since I booked via Expedia I could only get that type of room on the lower level. Went back and spoke to the manager and finally she changed our room, still on the lower level but at least it wasn’t musty.
In addition ... The kindness and professionalism of the dining room staff. The capacity of the staff in the rooms. The space in the room. the brightness of my room. Perhaps a little less the carpet on the floor which could be an accumulation of dust if it is not treated daily.
Chris makes thus place a 5 Star!
During my unforgettable stay at Ramada Wyndham in Juneau, Alaska, I was treated to an exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations. One of the standout highlights was the impeccable customer service provided by Chris, she was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. Her dedication to making my stay memorable was evident through her insightful recommendations and personable understanding of the area. She went above and beyond to ensure I had all the information I needed to fully enjoy the beauty of Juneau, and not from just "touristy" recommendations. I've recommended family to stay here, and even they have raved at his wonderful Chris is! All of the staff seem to be commited to creating a comfortable and welcoming place you want to return to. The restaurant is really good, locals eat there it's more than just a hotel restaurant, and on weekends they have an amazing brunch. The views from my hotel room were absolutely breathtaking, showcasing Douglas Island with the channel within view. I could drink my Kuerig coffee and relax each morning sitting in a comfy chair at the huge window in my room, enjoying the mountains and boats going by. The hotel's is close to downtown and I loved being able to walk places, including the museum right next door, and Foodland, the downtown grocery store, for coffee and fruit and some great salads. This is my place of choice to stay at when I visit Juneau. Once you stay here, you'll feel the same.
we had no elevator to first floor, no a/c and looked at an underground part of parking lot. Four Points Sheraton looked like a better place. Will never stay at Ramada again and am writing a letter to Wyndham
The staff was very friendly
Nice room, comfy bed, great staff.
Nice safe place to stay.
Nice, clean and roomy room. Had refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker with supplies. Nice bedding. Hotel is very dated. I know Alaska costs are high, but this room was more than I like to pay.
Definitely an older property
Front desk very helpful
I enjoyed the food and bar, staff was friendly and very helpful. Love the proximity to the State Museum and downtown. Disappointed there is no airport shuttle. Had a great stay!
The staff was friendly and the front desk helpful. The Windham is not maintaining the hotel well; the building needs refreshed. Walls were patched but not repainted. There was a lot of litter outside the building and the pavement needs redone. No one came to clean the room or make the bed during my stay. There was no shuttle, adding $60 to the cost of my stay.
We had a one bedroom suite that met our needs to a “T”. The staff was super friendly and accommodating!
Perfect location for walking to most of downtown and the dock area. The restaurant in the hotel was a great way to start or end the day!
It was a pleasant room with a nice view.
Was definitely updated since the last time I was there. The space I received for the price was excellent.
Gloomy decor dirty and poorly maintained
Avoid if any other option available
Looks like it hasn’t been updated in 50 years. Halls smell musty and rooms of lingering/old cigarettes (even though supposedly “non smoking.” Given room on one level down from lobby…with no elevators to that level. (If you’re older and rely on wheels to move your suitcases, you’re out of luck as no one to help. To get any ventilation in room, need to open windows…but screens had holes and opened to alleyway (photo). Huge security risk
Super disappointed. There was garbage left in the room, hand prints all over the windows, someone’s water cup was left next to the bed… we ended up not staying because we felt it wasn’t clean. Would not recommend this hotel.
Poor service, dated look and feel
This was definitely not worth $360 a night! More like $100. This is essentially a motel in look and feel. Service: Front desk staff were not at the desk on several occasions. When I was trying to check out, I shouted "hello" several times, checked in the restaurant, called down a flight of stairs, and finally noticed that the person was outside smoking a cigarette. Surely he could see me through the door as I was calling down the stairs and into the restaurant in clear view. He also made multiple attempts to ask me questions that were none of his business, like where I was going when I left the hotel one night. Room: had clearly not been vacuumed after the last check-out, as the area under the desk had multiple chunks of chocolate candy underneath it, which I only discovered when my feet hit them. Yay, chocolate on my socks. :( If it wasn't vacuumed, I wondered if there were other shortcuts being taken on cleaning. During the time of the most contagious variant of COVID yet, this wasn't comforting. The fan that was left in the room was broken, so I had to request a new one. The fans are needed because there is no air conditioning (though to be fair, there's no a/c in just about any hotel in Juneau because it's so rarely needed). Infrastructure: elevator is glacially slow - take the stairs if you are able. Crumbling asphalt in parking lot, dated look. This place might have been lovely in 1983. Not so much now.
Good location
Good location to visit Juneau Disappointed that restaurant was closed at 2 pm on July 4th, very rough finding dinner that night. Front desk people very helpful
Very big room with a comfortable bed.
Great people help make your stay pleasant
The staff was amazing. They provided excellent service before I arrived answering my questions. During my stay they made every interaction pleasant and always asked how my day was going. I admitted to them that I had stayed there 11 years ago to a not so good experience, but they have made it better and better each time I stay and this was by far the best experience I have had with them. Plan to stay with them every time I visit Juneau.
Beautiful area and good location for tourist spots.
Folks at the front desk helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious! No frills hotel but solid location.like everywhere else they are short staffed in the area of house keeping. Great pillows and mattress. They are starting to remodel.
A little run down, needs some tlc. The staff was awesome! The restaurant was yummy, rooms clean and comfortable.
Ramada is tops.
This is a very comfortable hotel. The restaurant is part of it and it is one the best in Juneau. The staff is friendly and efficient. Finally the hotel is in a perfect location : very close to major downtown sites.
All staff were very friendly and helpful!! Smiled, greeted every time and went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing!
Great location and beautiful view.
Juneau sun
Great time with my besties! Nice restaurant too! Gorgeous view of the channel..
Large rooms
Rooms were so large! Loved it!
This hotel doesn't treat Expedia reservations well. You will get a basement room and wouldn't have your amenities honored and "fight" for those,
The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the service was spotty. Only two servers who could handle the amount of patrons. The two servers seemed to overlap one another's customers, I couldn't figure out why things like getting three waters took so long and having cutlery available for our meal. The food was good.
i don't want to add a review
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location to downtown was great it was in walking distance. The restaurant had good service. The rooms were outdated. We were only able to get one channel on the tv and it was a foreign channel so was not good.
We enjoyed Lester's great presence at the front desk. He was smart, efficient, pleasant, and fun!
It was a last minute reservation because of a cruise cancellation and they were very helpful and accommodating.
Great employees
Great view, very convenient.
Nice comfortable hotel with really large suites. Very clean, good bed with an excellent in hotel restaurant.
Great choice of hotel
Excellent location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, cruise ships, etc. Has a full-service on-site restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Glad I stayed here and would stay here again.
We were stuck in Skagway an extra day due to weather and I called both the property and told them and contacted Expedia and they said they had handled it and adjusted our reservation to reflect two nights instead of three nights. They still charged us $220 for the one night we missed even though we had protection on the rooms. When we showed up to the Ramada finally after a day long of travel due to more weather, they had given our room away and said we were a no show. Even after I contacted both the property and notified them of the change and notified Expedia. It took them about 45 minutes at midnight to try and figure out. They said expedia never notified them. They ended up having to move people to another hotel to give us our room back. Luckily those people had not arrived yet or else we would’ve paid for three nights and never stayed there! The hotel seems poorly ran.
Great hotel option in Juneau
Great hotel option in Juneau. Service was awesome. Great onsite restaurant as well. Room was a little dated but had been renovated with good carpet etc. We had one issue in that our showerhead was way too short so we had to bend over to wash our hair. Also the water often changed from hot to cold during our showers. Other than that, everything was awesome. Highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms were big but dated. Most attractions were within walking distance. Restaurant was ok but nothing great.
Adequate hotel, could use some sprucing up, which they say is in progress.
Desk staff was prepared for a busy check-in day and had room keys and info ready. They also were more than happy to help book a taxi for our early morning flight. Restaurant being in the hotel is a huge plus, too, and the food was great.
Nice stay
Great housekeeper. Restaurant service lacking at breakfast.
Upon arrival at hotel for check in, we were told Expedia cancelled our reservation. They miraculously found us a room on bottom floor in pet friendly area and the room smelled like a wet dog! We do not own pets.
The property is in a very convenient location and is in walking distance of most attractions. The hotel is a little outdated and the walls seem very thin. You can hear every step or noise from the people above you and around you. They are starting renovations to make the property more up to date which is nice. Besides that, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We will stay again!
Walking distance from many restaurants in the Downtown area
Lester was exellent and helpful.
Location good. Condition of room very worn. Needs refurbishment
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location of room in the basement!! And no elevator.
Our stay was great here. The hotel is nicer than the pictures look. Also, the staff were super friendly and helpful in all of our questions! *shout out to Lester- who is THE best!* Other perks: -The room was bigger than expected! -It's walkable to everything in Juneau. -There's a bar/restaurant inside the hotel. -They have amazing fruit water by the front desk :) -They give you a free pint of ice cream upon check in (like a coupon)- and omg it is AMAZING. The flavors are unique and delicious. I'd recommend a stay here hands down!
Friendly staff, comfortable room and good restaurant/bar
We enjoyed the Restaurant, Staff were friendly and helpful on places to see and eat in Juneau. Room are roomy and very clean.
Very clean. Staff friendly, responsive, every need met. Shower excellent. Rather dated but I would rather stay here than the sheraton next door (block away).
Awesome
Staff great. Lester at front counter was awesome 👍restaurant also nice, great service and food

Friendly staff
Place was great. Shower pressure and shower head were great after a long day of travel.
