Nice property, friendly staff. Quiet location.

Great week away

Prior to my stay I received email confirmation and details about my stay, along with information about the island. The communication was clear and welcoming. The layout of the bungalows allows space for peaceful relaxation and also more social interactions with fellow travellers. The whole area was clean and the staff working here are engaging and super friendly. They work hard to ensure the stay is pleasant. The pool is warm and again the environment is clean and well maintained. Great to have shade too, to escape the canaria sun. The bungalow had every needed for the stay. Nice to have some tupperware to use. The bed was comfortable and I have a great week's sleep. The area is quiet and a short walk or taxi to the Yumbo Centre. Local buses are frequent if you are avoiding driving, or plenty of parking if you hire a car. I look forward to returning.

Simply wonderful. Had a late arrival, but the instructions for entry were clear and simple - and most importantly, just worked, exactly as described! The next morning, Michael greeted me at reception with his sunny smile, and I immediately knew I would be right at home. In fact, that's how the place feels - it's like being welcomed as a guest into someone's home; Antonio and Adrien (hope I've got the spellings right!) are the perfect hosts, always chatting with their guests round the pool, making sure everybody's enjoying their stay. It was particularly noticeable how many people had been coming back over and over again. I'll definitely be doing returning too! It's a clothing-optional resort - most of the time, around half of us were walking around with our kit off - but there's absolutely no pressure or judgement to be clothed or unclothed - and whichever you choose, you'll find a great attitude of body positivity. Equally, no pressure to *do* anything. I just lay by the pool all day, barely even talking to anybody... and that was perfect! It's just about the most relaxed place I've ever been in the world. Go, you won't regret it - except that unfortunately you'll have to come home again at some point!

Had a late arrival, but all arrangements to get into my room were simple and safe, I was greeted by a lovely chilled bottle of Cava and A bottle of water. It was spotlessly clean, I cannot find fault the staff were always very helpful and went above and beyond their roles to make sure I had a good time, the owner came to see the guests and made sure everything was too our liking. It was a brilliant, relaxing stay at this complex and will be going back again and again.

Excellent Stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Rainbow Golf! The bungalow was very spacious and comfortable. It had good amenities, and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was very nice. The hotel is a short walk to the Yumbo Center and beaches. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

It was Ok

Stayed here in January 2024 for the first time having stayed in similar resorts previously. Welcome and check in was great. Location was excellent, 15 minute walk into PDI and minutes walk for a few supermarkets. Pool vibe was ok, musical sun beds chasing the sun! Stayed ina superior bungalow, not much difference to standard other than having air con in the bedroom. Room cleaning was daily but often consisted of emptying the bin and not a lot more. The rooms need some attention, woodwork in the bathroom had rotted and was being patched up with filler. Kitchen was quite well equipped. Reception guys were great. Laundry service was convenient and good value at 5 Euro per basket. Overall it was okay, wouldn’t stay here again, there are better places for a similar price.

The Suite 10 was wonderful … had everything and more. Welcome, during and goodby from staff fantastic … very friendly and welcoming. Suite/Complex spotless, lovely and relaxing. Whole place felt special and unique. Would recommend for certain.

Perfect for a relaxing break

It was a pleasure to stay here for 10 nights between 23rd Sept and 3rd Oct 2023. The accommodation and facilities were spotless and the staff were very polite and helpful. It was such a relaxing space to be in that we spent more time around the pool area than intended.

Another 5 Star Stay.

Another lovely stay at Rainbow Golf, my favourite destination in Gran Canaria. The bungalows are well equipped and comfortable, the staff always friendly and helpful and the overall environment is friendly and relaxing.

I thought this property was great! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Clothing was optional and it was a very relaxed vibe. The only thing I would recommend is making sure that you really read the fine print before booking as my room didnt come with air conditioning. Because there is a constant breeze and, layout of the property allowed for good airflow, and the nights are generally cool it wasn’t uncomfortable. Nothing was wrong I just didnt realize until after I booked. I will definitely return to Gran Canaria many times to come and would be open to booking this resort again but I would like to explore other parts of the island more, which would maybe require a different location for my accommodations. I absolutely recommend.

The staff are amazing: both Michal and Nico are extremely kind and helpful. The pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds. Highly recommended.

Room 12 by the pool

Stayed here once before during the covid period so wanted to try it now things are almost back to how they was. Got a room that overlooked the pool and bar so was a great position. Being able to sit on my terrace and enjoy the sun right next to the pool was ace. Great staff who were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would stay here again and look forward to it.

Had a wonderful stay. Both Michael and Niko made us feel very welcome. They did a great job helping arrange a birthday surprise for me on arrival. The facilities are great and the place is very well maintained. Bungalows are well appointed ad cleaned regularly. There is a very nice chilled vibe around the swimming pool. Definitely recommend to solo travellers and couples.

Great little resort l. 21 bungalows and a lovely heated swimming pool. All bungalows cleaned daily and towel and linen changed every 3 and 4 days. Staff great, very helpful. Friendly gay resort with a mix of solo and partnered travellers.

A great hotel. This was our first time at this location. The staff where amazing and very attentive. The rooms very clean and spacious. More beds around the pool would be good especially on the sunny side.

Friendly staff relaxing felt well served and valued. They know their business and I hope the current health situation does not affect them too badly and they will able to welcome people back in the future.

It was a friendly, private and welcoming venue exclusively for gay men. I felt very at home and the shops/beach and other things of interest, all readily accessible

Can’t wait to go back!

Great place centrally located in Maspalomas. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome. The bungalows are súper clean, well equipped and laid out perfectly. Other guests are very sociable and the pool is great. This place was good for us as a couple—private if you want and cruisy without being overbearing. Like practically anywhere in Maspalomas, you will be taking a taxi to the beach—but they are very inexpensive and there is a taxi stand less than a block Grocery store across the street and you can walk to Yumbo.

Another Great Stay.

Just back from another great stay at Rainbow Golf. This time I stayed in the Suite which I think is now my favourite bungalow. They have everything you need for a great stay. The staff here make you feel valued at all times. Overall a really relaxing place to stay where you can be yourself. I'll be back.

The standard of cleanliness was outstanding. Someone must of cleaned every day I stayed there. Annoyingly; the wifi login & password had to be inserted every time I moved from the bungalow to the pool or back to the resort. There were also no instructions on how to use the coffee machine. Since I stayed here in February 19, they no longer provide food from the poolside bar; which is a disappointment. The resident staff Jorge & Michael were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful.

This is a great boutique hotel, very well kept, beds and towels changed very regularly. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Very peaceful, lovely and well equipped bungalows with great amenities close by (super market, take away etc) They even have a laundry service for just €2.50 a wash load. It has a real mixed crowd of guest and is not in the least bit pretentious, you can just be yourself and enjoy the facilities. We have been to Maspalomas very many times, we will definitely go back to Rainbow Golf. If you are into the night life in town, a taxi to Yumbo is about €3.50

Loved every minute of my 4 day stay here. Jorge and Michael were the most gracious hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. The free bottle of cava and welcome drink were lovely touches. Definitely will return.

Consistently Good!

Another lovely stay at this lovely resort. The bungalows are very well equipped and represent great value. The staff can't do enough to help and the other guests are generally very friendly.

Great staff at rainbow golf. Samuel and Jorge were extremely pleasant and helpful. The property was ideally situated near the beach and near yumbo center. Pool side rest and relaxation was exactly what I needed. Laundry services on site were perfect. Samuel makes hospitality memorable and fun.

Room have everything you could need, very friendly staff that nothing is to much, pool and terrace area very clean and relaxed, great stay!

Friendly and helpful staff, central location, pleasant bungalow are the pluses. Limited change of towels, limited tv choices, no public bathroom at the pool side/cafe are the minuses.

Great Complex - Highly Recommended.

I'm a regular visitor to Maspalomas, but this was my first time staying at the Rainbow complex and I will certainly be going back. The staff here are fantastic and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. The complex itself has everything you need for a great stay and the bungalows are the best equipped of any of the complexes I have stayed at. The location of the resort is nice and quiet, with a supermarket a few minutes walk away. The Yumbo is about ten minutes walk away, but the Dunes are more of a walk, so jump in a taxi if you're not up for the walk. Overall I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Rainbow resort!

Nice bungalows, very well kitted out. Especially loved the Tassimo coffee maker. Nice little bar with snacks etc. Lovely staff, everyone was so helpful. Good location, easy walk to town or beach or a cheap taxi ride. Will be back again.

Perfectly situated for getting to the beach or to head to the Yumbo Centre .. good accommodation, kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff .. the atmosphere here is so chilled and relaxed, a great mix of ages and nationalities, all brought together by Carlos and his team .. Golf Bungalows

Late arrival but easy to access to the property with the provided information. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent communications and information from the staff prior to arriving, with options for special requests taken on board. Had a super relaxing 10 days with no concerns. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely solar heated pool, comfortable sun beds right next to the bar/cafe with reasonable prices and quick service. Small library which patrons can borrow and leave books. Private, well equipped bungalows with patio areas, comfortable beds and air con. Good local information available from staff. Short walk into town and a local well stocked supermarket 10 minutes away. Quiet small resort, will hopefully return for another relaxing break.

Thank you so much for a wonderfull stay at Rainbow Golf. This is not a 5* hotel this is a small gay men only resort. Perfect for singles and couples. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and having only 21 bungalows we instantly felt like part of a family. Location was perfect for us. Quiet location, just out of the hustle and bustle but only a 15 min walk to the Yumbo centre (Or €3 in a cab). Room was cleaned spotlessly daily. Wi-Fi is great (compared to other places here) and is included. Bar is open till 8pm. Food menu (Although limited) is served until 4pm. Nude is optional. Antonio and the crew are wonderful hosts and we will most certainly be booking here again! D&M

You must give this place a try.

What can I say, at 45 this is the first time I have stayed in a Gay resort. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and was a little apprehensive that there was a danger of "not fitting in". This place was very welcoming from the start from the pre-stay communications to the actual stay. The staff were amazing, they were genuinely friendly and very attentive. I must say I was a little needy as I changed my flight to an extra day and Jorge just took care of everything from arranging a new transfer, printing off my boarding pass, giving me extra time in the bungalow on the departure date, nothing was too much trouble. The resort itself was very well presented, the layout works well and my accommodation was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, the fact that a lot of the guests were return visitors says it all. Thank you !

Peaceful yet not remote

Superb stay with great, hospitable staff - bungalows are scrupulously clean and there’s decent internet connection throughout the development. We highly recommend for those seeking a place to stay that combines a degree of peace and tranquility with closeness to the main centre of Playa del Inglés.

On arrival the welcome couldn’t have been warmer - plenty of information about the area provided. Relaxed, comfortable and clean. Convenient for the beach and town. Definitely will be back!

A Warm Welcome

From the start we found that everyone was very friendly. My partners birthday was on the 12th and Jorge and Bartek helped us celebrate it with some cake and a glass of cava. Lovely memory. Walls are a bit thin so you can be overheard.

Great resort, conveniently located!

Wonderful resort. The area in which the hotel is located is very quiet, but still within a reasonable walking distance of the "Yumbo Center", which is the closest commercial area with restaurants, bars, and entertainment nearby. It is technically feasible to walk to the famous dune beaches, but the use of a rental car is highly recommended. My husband and I were warmly greeted by Resort staff, who provided some very helpful tips on beaches and other points of interest on the island. The resort has a very chill vibe, and other guests were also friendly and welcoming. The kitchenette area had all supplies needed to cook simple meals (e.g., breakfast), and nearby parking was super east. I would definitely recommend for any gay single or couples traveling to the Maspalomas area of Gran Canaria island!

This was my second stay, last year I stayed for a fortnight and wanted to extend, but; due to prior commitments I couldn't. So...this year I stayed for 28/29 days. In that entire time, I couldn't give you a single complaint. I was greeted by a member of Staff who had only started this year (Kilian - I think my spelling's correct), but he met my like a friend. Then Antonio came to check me in, with a big hug and a really warm welcome (and a cold beer). He remembered that I have a disability using my left knee and had, personally, bought me a "None-Slip Mat" for my shower. I'd emailed a few days prior to ask for Ice, a 5L bottle of water and a Cold Beer to be waiting in my room. They were, in fact it was a Very Cold Six Pack of Beer. The Staff are friendly, helpful, never intrusive, incredibly efficient. The House Keeping Staff are so thorough it's a wonder that they can Service your room so quickly. The pool and pool shower are warm, the pool area is immaculate and Bar Service is excellent. I recommend a Long Island Iced Tea to all. The Supermarket is a very short walk and the Yumbo Centre is a nice, comfortable walk, but a Taxi is a few Euros. I'm already aiming for next year's stay.

RG is a great place to stay. Short walk or taxi to yumbo and 30 min walk to the beach it is ideally situated offering access to all amenities as well as peace and quiet. Sam, Jorge and the team are really welcoming lovely guys that run the place superbly. I look forward to returning here again soon.

Consistantly Nice

I have stayed here a number of times before - simply because of its consistency. The service is always good and the accommodation is clean and tidy. This isn't the place if you want to party - it's a nice. quiet resort about 4 Euros taxi ride away from the Jumbo. Nice though

A corner of bliss in madness!

Playa d'inglais not really my thing, would prefer a resort like peer to de mogan. It the review is about this hotel, and the hotel alone will make me go back, a week in the hotel by the pool was a first for me as I never do pools. But so relaxing here and quiet, and clothes optional. The guys that work the resort could not do more........

Clean, friendly service, bungalows a little tired

Nice resort, spotlessly clean accommodation and site (including pool area). The bungalows are a little tired in places - mould in grouting on the bathroom tiles, for example, but otherwise acceptable. Located in the "Golf" area it is just a 15 minute walk to the Yumbo centre or a €3,20 taxi ride. Parking was easy in the surrounding roads/car parks, and free. We had air conditioning (but didn't need it). Like many of these types of accommodation in Maspalomas, the hot water is supplied from a small tank which is not enough for two people to shower in turn.

A very good place to stay, great location, friendly staff and peaceful surroundings. The resort is kept very clean and tidy and your rooms are done most days. You really feel at home and it is such a nice place to meet very friendly guests and the atmosphere is so good. Recommend this resort over any others I have stayed at. Superb.

A good gay resort in Maspalomas

my 6th visit, so they either must be doing something right - although to be honest standards are not what they used to be.

Great resort!

The resort makes everyone feel very comfortable. It's a great place to mingle with other guests and make new friends. But, if you choose so, it's also a place to enjoy some relaxing time alone and/or with your partner/spouse. The staff is always friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay whether it's your first visit or if you are a repeat guest (like me). I highly recommend the resort. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. I feel like I'm at home here. If you are wanting a beach vacation: GO visit the Canary Islands. You will enjoy it. The people are friendly, the food and wine is great and it is more affordable then some vacations in the U.S. and in mainland Europe. It is worth the visit.

Ok - but not brilliant

Clean and comfortable place which was spoilt by a certain member of staff's attitude. He was very impolite to my partner - verging on arrogance. But the other two guys compensated this, by being extremely nice to us throughout our stay. Also the wifi was very patchy and unreliable. That said it was reasonably cheap and the location was ok - about 20 mins from yumbo and the dunes.

Trivelig bungalow anlegg. Sentralt. Betjeningen er så hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Gjestene er hyggelige og sosiale. Kan trygt anbefales enten man er reise alene eller sammen med noen. Dette var mitt andre opphold . Jeg kommer snart tilbake.

Angenehme Anlage im Campo Internacional

Überschaubare ungezwungene Bungalowanlage mit überwiegend älteren ruhigen Kunden. Sympathisches Personal. Die Anlage ist schön bepflanzt und relativ ruhig. Die Bungalows sind geräumig mit separatem Schlafzimmer, Terrasse und Kochecke. Grosser Kühlschrank, Kochplatten, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Geschirr. Minuspunkte: Die gesamte Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen. Wer gern durchdesignt hat, ist hier am falschen Ort. Irgendwann geht einem die Musik am Pool auf den Wecker (man hört sie auch von den Bungalows aus). Sie wird um 20.00 Uhr ausgeschaltet.

Un coin de paradis!

4 ème séjour au Rainbow, et c'est toujours aussi bien! L'endroit est cosy, propre, bien tenu, calme... Mention spéciale pour Gleb et Mickaël, toujours aussi gentils et souriants...3 mois à attendre pour le prochain séjour!

A great and comfortable place to relax and unwind

Many thanks for such a wonderful stay. Great location in a quiet area but easily accessible to the beach and Yumbo centre on foot with nearby bus stops to explore other parts of the island. For me a perfect base to compete in the Transgrancanaria 126k classic and a lovely oasis to relax and recuperate after the race. The bungalows were well equipped, very clean with comfortable bed and a lovely seating area both inside and on the terrace. It certainly was a great place to disconnect and recharge around the fabulous heated pool and above all the friendliness of the staff and other guests really made for an exceptional stay. Jättetrevlig vistelse. Michael (värd) var oerhört vänlig och hjälpte till med alla frågor + att de bjöd på cava på rummet. Sängarna var inte bekväma och detta måste ni göra någonting åt. Det är enbart av denna anledning att jag inte ger 10 av 10. Vi bodde inte i suiterna, vilket vi kommer göra nästa gång vi besöker boendet! Överlag rekommenderas. Lugnt område och 1 km gångväg till centrum. Rekommenderas vart
