Very good hotel. Kind front desk people. Great breakfast
Less than 5 minutes from Rome Termini & near to the good restaurant choices.
I paid for breakfast which it is supposed to be ready at 7 am which was not when we asked they didn’t know. Then the front desk only said I’m sorry. We asked for a return of money which hasn’t happen, we also ask for the manager and they didn’t let us talk to him. They were super rude and also told us if we didn’t leave they will call security. Also he told us we were sh**.
Great experience
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good. The location was very ideal-- just a couple minutes from Termini Station and close to restaurants and stores.
Small, door locks old school and difficult, some ants in room. Bed hard.
.
room were basic and unclean felt unsafe in the surrounding area
The staff were nice, but not particularly helpful. We asked about parking nearby (parking available advertised) and the reception staff could not give us an idea of exactly where the garage was, its opening hours, or the cost. They did not offer any alternative advice. The room was simple and cheap. It could do with some new pillows and mould killer. It is in a convenient location for public transport and was 700m away from the best gelato in Rome (Come il Latte).
Small but clean rooms, excellent and super helpful staff. The hotel is right next to Termini, one of the main train stations in Rome, meaning it's very convenient to get around. The hotel is set behind one of the main roads so it is very quiet.
Very accessible to Termini. Great location
Great Hotel !
Loved this place ! Staff were fantastic and friendly ! Clean room and just the right size for a solo traveller !
The aircon worked and the staff were helpful. Not very clean, tired decorations old beds, shower hose broken sink blocked. Reported but no response. We wouldn’t go back.
Great location, clean, friendly staff
Selected the property because it is close to the train station. Property is set back off the street. Approaching the property the signage, driveway and building look worn. Same for the lobby. The person working the desk was pleasant and checked us in early so we could drop off our bags. The room was pretty clean but needed to be repainted and bedding was dated. Shower was tiny. Air conditioning was not operational and I was left with the impression that the manager was not authorized to turn it on. The included breakfast was quite nice. Check out was quick.
Very close to Termini Stn and the receptionist, Christina, went above and beyond to be helpful.
The staff are fantastic and the breakfast is as well. Great location as it is very close to the train terminal. The room is very small and very hot-no way to control the heating system. The hotel is kept very clean.
Just an average hotel, old, outdated, I didn't like it!
Just a localisation perfect
Not a best one to be honest. Especially breakfast. We came late, but 9 o'clock is still should be another hour to go. No tea. Half of the food not replenished. December and just tiny sheet to cover ourselves. Not awefull, but nothing to be excited about.
The property is a 2 minute walk to Roma Termini. We had an early morning train so stayed close to the train station and were able to get a triple room for a great price. The property was clean. The beds were comfortable, the towels were a bit ragged, and the bathroom was very small but for one night it was fine. I would not stay at the property for more than one night but it is perfect to catch an early train departure.
.
Though the Hotel is located one street away from the main road and does not have a very impressive front entrance, it is very very convenient for tourists visiting Rome via the Termini, Central train station in Rome. the front desk staff is very friendly and helped us a lot in giving us directions, whereto eat etc. Overall a very pleasant and happy experience with the Raeli Hotel Lazio
worn condition of neighborhood
Henri
When arriving at the Real Hotel Lazio early in the morning after telling them my arrival time we found the Hotel CLOSED. No mention of closing or anything was Emailed to us. Paper on door mentioned that guests that booked this hotel were booked to another Real Hotel Archimede. Despite a real nice and professional receptionist the experience was bad. This hotel was clearly a lower standard, nobody was explaining or apologizing about the situation and no discounts were offered. Real Hotel Archimede is definitely not a hotel where you would like to stay. Rooms are small and rundown. Bathroom toilet and bidet allowed less than a foot of space between them to get to the 3 foot high bathtub. Shower in tub automatically fluctuated between ice cold water to very hot water. Best part of this hotel was the people at the reception, it’s breakfast and the door closing behind me on the last day.
Great location
Great location for this hotel, just by the train station. The staff was friendly.
It was very old fashion but this reflected the price of course. Bed was somewhat comfy, I would in fact stay here again but only for a night, not for a longer trip.
Good value. Right outside the right side exit from station. I didnt want to walk far in the rain at night when my plane arrived. This was perfect. Only issues were thin walls, missing shower door and no monitoring of smoking in rooms. Decor was nice. Windows mostly blackout. Ac and heat worked fine. Tv was ok. In a courtyard. Only noise from church bells. Supermarket on basement floor on right side of station. I stayed on other side of staion at a place that was twice as expesive in august. This place was just as good. Close to many landmarks like borghese gardens.
It was a great hotel for the money, so close to the main train station and metros. The staff were very helpful.
Great location less than a minute walk from the Termini station. Friendly staff, clean rooms.
Room too small
Good, fine for the price ..it will be good to saty
Stayed here for 1 night before and 1 night after a tour. The room was old fashioned but clean and the bathroom was well stocked with nice towels. The second room was the same size as the first but had a larger bed rather than the original single. This made the second room extremely cramped and this, coupled with the 3/4 double bed would make it very tight for more than 1 person for more than 1 night, but met my needs for a short stay. The breakfast was awful - nothing hot available (not even a toaster available or some boiled eggs) only cereal, pastries, ham and cheese. Not worth the extra charge. The staff were lovely and the location was very handy. There was a fridge in the room and it was in a good location for transport links.
I liked that you could book a single room at a single room rate. The room was small, clean and exactly what I needed. There was no shower curtain which made it difficult to shower properly and also the air con was just an old thermostat that clicked off when I tried to change it. It wasn’t too hot with the window open though (July)
Dirty hotel...stay away.
Terrible place. The check in was normal and friendly enough. Our bathroom has mold and hairs (from many areas of the body) from previous occupants. Went to front desk to complain and they sent up a reluctant guy who briefly wipes the floor with a towel. He missed major hair areas in the tub. I think he’s so used to hairs that he no longer notices. How does a hotel not know how to clean for hair and mold? I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries. Different levels of service and amenities can vary depending on culture and star ratings but cleanliness should always be expected. There are others similar hotels in the area that are cleaner. We moved to another hotel that has smaller rooms but much cleaner. Stay away from this hotel...you have been warned.
Basic accomodation in a convenient location , air condition was not strong enough. Staff were nice and helpful
good location/value
Its not too bad for the price and location. It is safe to walk here even though accessed by an alley. There was always garbage in the alley, which was not appreciated. There is a convenience store two doors down which is great for beer etc.
excellent service but needs improvement in cleaning
Good location and nice breakfast. Well maintained and helpful staff.
I have to say I was very disappointed on arrival at this hotel. It’s appearance from the outside was run down with lighting in the signage broken and rubbish strewn on the street outside. The hotel staff were pleasant but the room was very poor, tiny and outdated decor which is cleverly photographed in the photos. The walls of the property are thin so you can hear other occupants and the breakfast on offer was terrible. It was also occupied at the time of my stay by a school trip meaning combined with the paper thin walls it was a noisy stay. Given the price range of this hotel I expected a lot more and consider myself to have been overcharged.
Good location, short walk from Roma Termini station. Friendly and helpful desk staff, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Location was fantastic. Everything else was basic and outdated. Toilet was smelly as soon as we came in and the problem was never fixed -probably also to do with the fact the shower had no curtain and everything just sllashed everywhere. Tv was small and everything was very basic - inclduing breakfast which didnt even have the facility for toast.
Toilet had smell, no curtain for bathtub water splash everywhere when you take a shower. However, nice staff and very good location
The property was close to Termini station and the Metro as well as close to some of the sights in Rome. It was a basic hotel with breakfast included. We did not like that the in room safe was not attached to the wall/cupboard and therefore quite portable. We had to take all our valuables with us when we left the room rather than leaving them there.
Super close to the train station. I basically just crashed there for the night but would stay there again if I was planning to explore the area more
Entrance has old mouldy smell, we checked in at approx. 7pm I could smell rats, rubbish bins are right at the entrance, hallway going to the hotel is filthy, there was a bin bag being stepped on and things from the bag came out and people walking on it Bed sheets and towels are old you could see the towels hem are all undone A bigger TV in the room would ne nice our television size is the smallest TV I have ever seen Hotel needs refurbishment Staff our great - Thank you to the man that keeps the place clean or trying to keep it clean - he cleans all day
You must be clear for the reservation if breakfast is included or not
Loved the continental breakfast, and cleanliness of the hotel.
Location was good! Easy to find. Breakfast was simple but good.
Great location
great location but the hotel was very dated. Needs updating. Overall fine for a couple of days but no longer than 3 nights.
Good for Termini Station
We wanted somewhere close to Termini Station for one night. It was literally 50m away. We expected nothing flashy and we got exactly that. However the room was well lit contrary to expectation of a dimly lit room. Happy for the price we paid.
The hotels staffs were friendly and always willing to assist and everything else is well managed
Hotel very close to train station which was great for us Room and bathroom very small but bed was good
Old and smelled like sewage open tub no shower curtain
Close to public transportation and in a safe environment
show door near fail off,out going water very slow,no wi fi in the room.
don't ask
Great location. Clean. Quite. Friendly helpful staff. Typical 3star breakfast. Just a good hotel for the price.
Good hotel for the price
Me and my partner stayed here for a few nights in March and were pleased with our stay. The hotel is in an excellent location, seconds away from termini train station, a pick up point on the Rome tour bus (which operates throughout the day), and pick up point for the SIT transfer to the airports. The downsides to this hotel were 1 the room (economy) was smaller than expected, not that it bothered us much and we quickly got used to it. However it did get warm in there due to the size so we had to keep the window open. 2 The sink in the bathroom had some rust on it. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, and helped us find somewhere to buy a travel plug as we didn't know that Italy uses different ones to other parts of Europe. The breakfast buffet was nice despite the fact that I'm a picky eater. All in all its a good hotel for the price and location. Nothing fancy or extravagant, just does what you want for a place to stay. Helpful staff and comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again
Excellent Price and Great Location
Great location less than 5 minutes from railway station/bus termini. Excellent value, friendly staff good buffet breakfast
Good central location for the six nations rugby All good
Good Location to Transportation...Pretty Basic
The hotel is located a block or two from the Termini Station, the main transportation hub in Rome. So if we were taking a train to another city or the public transportation this would be an excellent place! I had never been to Rome so I wasn't sure if popular car service entities operated in Italy so thought this would be a great hotel due to the location. Later, I found the ride service did indeed operate in Rome so I just used that whenever I needed to get somewhere, and never used the public transit...and never needed a train out of town at any point during my stay. The hotel itself was clean, a little dated, but clean. The staff was always very friendly and spoke English well so there was never any awkward conversation exchanges, etc. The room did have Air Conditioning but, as with many older buildings, the heating/air conditioning systems are centrally operated, so we had not climate control capabilities inside our own room. And our room was pretty hot to the point we had to open a window whenever we were in the room, even though it was January! The breakfast provided is adequate. Pastries, breads, coffee, juice..enough for us to start the day. The wi-fi is only downstairs in the lobby area and NOT in the rooms. That could be a big improvement if the hotel provided in room wi-fi.
Nice hotel close to the Termini station
Nice and helpful staff. Especially one young girl with dark hair:). I forgot her name :( Easy to get everywhere. The only minus, Internet works only downstairs at the reception
Very good
Great location, awful wifi
We used this as a stopover hotel between two trips. Perfect location, very central, close to the train station and therefore lots of transport links. Quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff and a buffet breakfast very typical of what you would get in central Rome. Only issue was with wifi. It was great and fast, but only available in the lobby, not at all in the rooms or even the breakfast room. Also only two small seats in the lobby, so couldn't even make yourself comfortable for a while there if you needed the wifi. Otherwise no issues :)
Nice, quiet hotel very close to central Rome
The hotel is a nice, quiet little hotel in a fantastic location. One minute away from Termini Station and also right outside the bus stops for many of the hop on hop off tours and airport transfer buses to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. The reception staff speak English very well, are very friendly and nice to chat with. They can recommend some places to check out beside the major tourist hotspots. Wifi is in the reception area only, I didn't try it to comment on its speed/range. The room was surprisingly spacious (not huge but bigger than some of the photos), the colour and lighting is a little dark and depressing. The bed was two singles put together with a single pillow and a cover.. not the most comfortable but it was good enough for me. There is room aircon, a small safe, several well placed power sockets and a small TV with hundreds of channels in mostly Italian but some allowed English audio. Room was cleaned daily with replacement linen and toiletries. Breakfast was continental style and included hams, cheeses, a selection of pastries and bread, cereal and sliced peaches. The coffee machine made a pretty good cappuccino and hot chocolate. For the price, it was a fantastic hotel and very comfortable for the 3 nights I stayed there. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
They changed our hotel!
1. The people working there are not professionals. Rarely smile. 2. In the rooms you do not have wi fi connection. 3. rooms are small, Just OK.
Nice hotel cloud to the train station
Friendly helpful staff and clean lovely hotel room. Stayed here two years in a row and will go back. Nice breakfast.
Great location for newbies
First time travelling!! Me and the Mrs absolutely loved this hotel! Nice and hidden away, quiet surroundings and easy access to the Metro! Your only 2 stops away from the main tourist parts! If you turn Left out of Lazio, about 500 metres down road, on right a lovely respectful restaurant (Rossi) excellent food and very very reasonable!
Close to the train station
Could not complain, room clean, bed is comfortable, breakfast was your typical Italian breakfast. When travelling all your need is a room to sleep you aren't spending your days inside.
Never staying here again!
Not worth my time to mention all the things that were wrong with this place
Basic hotel close to main train station
PROS: Great location close to the main train station (Roma Termini). Staff was extremely helpful and polite. The girl who greeted us at check-in, Julia, was warm and friendly. CONS: Sheets were filthy and had a huge stain of what appeared to be some bodily fluid on it. No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. Breakfast was extremely basic. In my booking I had specified a double bed yet we were given a two single beds. I had to push the two beds together to sleep with my wife. I know this is something I should have brought to their attention but I just decided to let it slide.
Hotel near to Termini.
Reception manned at all hours. Helpful staff. Good continental breakfast. Towels changed daily and beds made.
Overpriced Run Down Motel
Location is convenient to the Rome Termini, but the hotel condition is terrible. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke, bed sheets don't seem clean.
At Train and .Subway and Bus Hub for Rome central
Short walk from main transit hub.in downtown Rome... going to and from airport and cruise port...only complaint is internet which does not reach most rooms so you go to lobby for WiFi
Not bad at all
Too bad free WI-Fi is offered just in the lobby. Among the front desk personnel Anna Maria was the best. Helpful, courteous, and nice.
Unfriendly and small hotel in Rome
This was the worst hotel we stayed at on our 5 week holiday around Europe. Room is extremely small, just managed to fit our luggage and ourselves! Bed is uncomfortable. Breakfast is ok, nothing great - better off going out for it. By far the worst hotel staff - not friendly or welcoming at all. Wifi is only available downstairs in the reception lobby. I mean seriously?! The location is close to Roma termini which is about the only major plus point of this hotel.
Bed bug hotel
Bed bugs in abundance. I've never seen them before this trip. My legs are still pelted with hundreds of bites. Ended up going to the chemist to get spray. The room smelled like sewer gas that came up through a floor drain in the bathroom. No hot water in the morning because too many using it at once. Took cold shower just to get clean.
good value
i got a very good deal for my stay here, it was good value, room was clean, quiet and cool, comfortable bed, nice staff, and situated right beside station and airport bus
Great location
The hotel was across the road from termini station, meaning everything was within easy reach. The roam itself was nice, the air con was a god send. The only downside was the shower being too small and cold.
Good for being close to Termini
I used points to pay for my stay here. However, I would look at other places before considering a return. Pros: near Termini station (5 min. walk), free breakfast, free Wi-Fi in lobby, quiet Cons: no free Wi-Fi in rooms, view of my room was of concrete walls and the building next door It is relatively clean and rather comfortable. Then again, it's nothing as modern as say a 4-star hotel (although those can be questionable as well). The staff were helpful overall although there was a time when a staff member appeared frustrated because I kept asking questions. I would recommend this only if location and proximity to transportation (i.e., Termini station) are at the top of your list. It will save you time if you have to go somewhere by train.
Hotel closer to Termini
The food at hotel was disgusting, the only good thing was that its closer to termini
One block from Roma Termini. OK hotel.
I stayed 5 nights with my two teenage daughters at hotel Lazio. It is one block away from Roma Termini which is very convenient. There are buses you can take from and to the airport. You can take the subway and visit all the main attractions and if you like walking like us you can visit many attractions by foot. The hotel is OK. Our room was small but fine for the 3 of us. Our bathroom was horrible. Very small, no curtains and we had a leak we reported but they didn't fix. Breakfast is the same every single day, but not bad. There are many stores, restaurants near by. Internet is only in the lobby which is outside with no air conditioning. Be aware they charge you city tax which I did not know. I ended up paying 60€. Though I complained with Expedia, they said it was said in my itinerary. I was very disappointed with that because I read taxes and fees were included in the total price....
The wifi only at lobby where isn't big. It would be nice wifi at the whole hote. The shower cube drainage is very very slow that water isn't go down fast enough. Then you have to turn off shower in case over flow.
Pleasant hotel, clean and close to the station. Within walking distance to sites and restaurants.
Convenient, safe, but paper-thin walls
I booked this because of its central location, and only needed a room for a night before I moved to the main location. I arrived late into Rome Termini and was at the hotel about two minutes later. The street looked like 1980s NYC, but the hotel entrance was set back through a passageway and appeared nice and safe. Friendly staff member on duty who spoke good English. Reasonable size room, good shower, comfy bed, no view at all. Also wifi is only available in the lobby. Slept well, once the girls in the next room settled down after crashing in from their night out. There's no soundproofing at all (I thought they'd walked into my room to start with), so be aware, you never know who you may get next door. Set off the next day, straight into the thick of it by the station and beyond, no time wasted.
Basic hotel but easy to find near to station
Basic hotel breakfast not worth eating! Bad coffee and tea and not much else we didn't bother after first morning. Convenient for centre of Rome and easy to find if using train from airport
Excellent value and conveniently located
We chose the Hotel Lazio because of its close proximity to the Roma Termini, from which we based our excursions throughout Rome, including pickup and drop off for the Hop-on Hop-off tours. The friendly staff was very helpful and directed us to several very good local restaurants and attractions. Our rooms were clean and well maintained, and though small, were quite comfortable. The bells from the local church added to the charm. We would definitely stay here again.
The room had lack of Cleanliness, the bathroom had some black stains on the shower. People at the front desk were very kind and helpful, Breakfast and WiFi were good, and the best part was the Hotel location, few meters from the Termini.
Not up to standard
Not up to standard. No view from the room window Very old fashioned
Not clean, but for 4 hour stay it worked
It was close to train station which is why I booked the hotel to begin with.
No air condition from midnight to 6am, it is no acceptable as we stayed at end of June.
Comfortable, affordable, convenient.
Very good value for the location.
Just right for the money. No wifi in room
Good. No hassles its just about the wifi, need to get out of the room to access. Close to train and bus station a walking distance which is the main comfy.
Not bad for the price
Hotel rooms are pretty small, but they are clean. Most of the staff was pretty helpful, but few speak English. There is a free breakfast which is pretty basic, but it was still nice to have. The hotel is definitely in a good location.
You get what you pay for and more at this hotel.
We arrived at around 11:00 am and they let us have our room even though occupancy was to be as of 2:00 pm only. The receptionist was pleasant and professional and was very helpful when we asked questions. The check in and check out was quick and hassle free.I The room safety box was not working but was made functional within 20 minutes of reporting it to the front desk.
Convenient place to stay near Termini
No frills place to stay that was clean, quiet and comfortable if compact in space and where the furniture was old and in need of replacement. The breakfast was good and fresh. Wifi only available in reception. We found it very convenient for quick stop off before getting the train to Civitavecchia.
Good location, but walls are wafer thin.
Hotel Lazio is a great place to stay if you're planning on spending a good amount of your time outside exploring the city. It is centrally located and a stones throw distance from Rome's Termini station. One can walk to all major tourist attractions from here including the Colosseum, Trevi fountain and so on. The metro station is close by as well. In terms of service, it was so so. The rooms are a bit old and require maintenance. The walls are wafer thin and one can hear everything in the neighboring rooms right from a conversation to a snore to a sneeze. There are no ACs in the room so if it is hot outside it may get a bit uncomfortable. The location is the best thing about the hotel though, and for the price per room I guess it would be worth it. They do charge an additional fee when you check out as city tax.
Close to termini and convenient
The hotel was very convenient to the train station and in a safe area. My biggest complaint is the lack of a shower curtain in the bathroom, it was impossible to shower without getting water all over. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. It's an older building but by Europe standards, it was fine.
Good hotel in convenient location.
Hotel was in a great location near Roma Termini and hop on hop off buses. Breakfast was good and rooms very clean but a bit small, but most are in Rome. Would recommend stay here mainly for convenience as well as good area with plenty of restaurants reasonably priced.
Great Hotel close to Roma Termini
Great for the price. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Roma Termini train station, where you can get affordable food.
