Perfection at every level! I arrived early. Waited for an hour to clean the room but they were kind enough to give me the room before the check-in time. The Oceanview room was nice. Coffee machine, kettle, slippers, fridge (with fizzy drinks), hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body bath were all available in the room. The pool and gym were nice. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. Always smiling and going the extra mile. We took 2 private tours from the hotel. Reasonably priced. We had a lovely time. Beautiful people, beautiful country. Definitely staying here again!
We were on our honeymoon. The place was placed nicely when considering the beach. The pool area and downstairs bar area are very nice. We did enjoy those. The "all inclusive" was just too expensive. There wasn't any benefit (other than free drinks & lunch) that made the price worth it. We could not eat enough food or drink enough to even come close to the price. Anyway, thanks for a great time!!
Having to pay for drinks separately when our meals were included in the costs of the room was annoying. Did not know taxi service with the hotel is so expensive so stopped us from visiting some places.
Lovely, cool and blissful
Relaxing start to vacation
Very friendly staff. Lovely sea view from the beach side rooms. Made a big effort for Halloween with entertainment and food/cocktails which was nice. Chef was happy to make me vegan options for breakfast lunch and dinner. Nice snorkeling spot and other guests saw the turtles but we unfortunately missed them. Next time!
Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.
beautifully designed, wide variety of comfortable sitting areas
Excellent venue, need to bring the family next tim
Came here for a conference, but would love to come back for holiday with the family!
Internet not working without being able to use WhatsApp. Small beach
was a beautiful location, amazing view - just noisy nights due to entertainment going on at the hotel and constantly asked by staff room number and to sign for everything irritated me
wonderful
This hotel is in a fantastic position on the beach with great views from our room and from the pool. Food was excellent with a good range of choices from the 3 restaurants and the general atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed. However what makes this hotel stand out from its competitors is the staff. We had a nightmare when my husband was taken into hospital on xmas day. I cannot praise every single member of staff enough, they looked after us with sensitivity and compassion. There were some staff who stood out but I am hesitant to single them out as everyone was so wonderful. Don't think twice about staying here, you won't be disappoionted
Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms, really enjoyed the holiday. Unfortunately too many underwater stones in the beach. Friendly staff are trying to fulfill all requests.
Beach Hotel
Our first family holiday for 14 years and it was really enjoyable, relaxing and well worth the 12 hour flight.
Good value holiday
Good holiday, with excellent service. Dissapointed staff did not tell us about Aruze water sport and swimming. Very windy and poor swimming conditions at this hotel. Staff that must be commended Sunil, Nithin, Kervin, Daniel and Sarves from Aruze. Palavi and Keshni and Hansli great. more must be done to educate staff about Aruze. Requested staff for extra hour for late check out and had to ask 5 times. Entertainment very flat except good Sega dancing.
Amazing.
My stay was truly amazing. Came home relaxed and refreshed. The only area which could be given a less than 5/5 is the food. The food was still good, so I will give the food 4/5. The Radisson is on the beach and allows guests to swim and snorkel at their leisure. The sea however is a bit wavy, but not at all a reason not to visit the Radisson. The service is great and cocktails are made within minutes.
The first week was much less than our expectation.
Although we had not chosen the seaview option, we did not expect to be housed across the road in a detached part of the hotel on the top floor without lifts. It was not, to say the least, nice in the heavy downpour to reach all the other amenities such as the dining halls, swimming pool and the sea.
Great stay. Will return.
Great stay, except we were not at this hotel, we were moved to their Centara Grande just up the beach.
Beautiful property with some major minuses
This is a new very modern, very clean, well designed property with superb spacious rooms, a nice pool and a beautiful stretch of beach. The rooms are very tastefully done up in white and there is good attention to detail, right down to the thoughtful charging board which has every socket imaginable. The beach is really gorgeous though it is advisable to wear jellies /fins while swimming on account of the sharp rocks and sea urchins. The service was a bit of a let down. Sunil at the restaurant and Diane in charge of the kid's club were great but the rest of the staff seemed under trained, impersonal or both. The food was really really bad. This is a HUGE issue because there is nothing around for miles, so you really have no other choice but to eat at the hotel. If you are on half or full board you are stuck with the horrible buffet.. Really not befitting a hotel of this standard. Even breakfast is just about so so. A real shame because this could be a truly GREAT hotel, but for now is decent at best.
very good clean Hotel
The hotel and staff were exeptionally effient and outdid themselves to make our stay comfortable.
This place was not the best
The room was ok, however, the bathroom had no bathtub. The room/bathroom was missing basic things like conditioner, lotion, cotton bud cleaning sticks, etc. When we asked for these things, we were charged separately for each extra bottle!! The dinner buffet was very bad but breakfast was basic but ok.The beach did not have soft sand, instead the sand was filled with rocks/pebbles and hence very hard to walk on. Definitely not a swimming beach because of the corals/plantation - but good for snorkelling.
Far away from the city :/
Overall experience was good and Centara being a new property got its charm all over! People in Mauritius are extremely friendly and that includes the staff of the hotel too.Ours was a half board which came in the package when we booked our hotel stay. Food was excellent but over a 6 nights stay some dishes were found to be repeated eventually. If ever u have to order food at noon it turns out to be very expensive, and since the hotel was really far from the city we couldn't do much,we got no choice other than being dependent on the cab service. That was the most annoying issue about location of the hotel, as it was situated at an isolated place far away from the city and so incase if u wanna go to a grocery shop or pharmacy u need a cab... The beach was beautiful , but it has high tide most of the time nd no much cope to swim at the beach unlike other beaches we have been too. however the cab service was gud and we felt taking a cab from the hotel was more safer and we could rely on them since they work at the hotel ... In short it was a good and relaxing vacation ....
great hotel and hospitality.
we stayed 16 nights on our honeymoon in room 2009 and it was fantastic.direct access onto the beach.Everyone at the hotel were great ,very friendly and nothing appeared too much trouble. we hired a car for 11 days and we had no problems on the roads although some directions left alot to be desired ,but other than that we got to see most of the island. We did a skydive which was our wedding gift to each other which was awesome.would certainly revisit the island and definately stay at the centara. Paul and Helen. uk
very nice hotel nice employees nice welcome and resepsion
Good for couple.
Good for couple or family without Kids, they are not allowed. For booking Island tour better check other agencies and don't use taxi service provided by the Hotel, little bit more expensive. They is a free shuttle for the other Hotel same group that provide water sport activities. Restaurant good but too much Indian taste.
Perfect for Chilaxing!
A very enjoyable place to stay while on Mauritius! The staff is very attentive to customer service!
Wonderful
Amazing hotel My husband and I stayed at Radisson blu poste Lafayette from 19/12- 29/12 and we had an absolutely wonderful time. This was our 1st trip to Mauritius and We stayed in an oceanfront room (room 2105) . The room was stunning and the view off our balcony was breathtaking !! We ate breakfast and dinner at Nautilus and the service and food was exceptional, the staff was so friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, from the hostess, to the bartenders and waiters. Thanks for the spectacular vacations...
prettige sfeer
reasonable price with perfect service
I stayed only 2days there. Room conditions, facilities and food are just perfect. Especially every person, who works at Radisson, is very kind.
Good hotel, but there are better Resorts for a Hol
2 day stay at the end of a 3 wk trip to Mauritius & Reunion. The hotel is nice, staff are friendly. Beach is nice, although the east coast is windier than the south west (Morne area). Hotel has everything you need. If the hotel was in Europe, and I was staying there on a business trip I'd be perfectly happy. But as a "Resort" for a holiday it is too compact. If you wanted to stay onsite and not see anything else of the island, there aren't enough facilities onsite to keep you occupied unfortunately for a 1 or 2 wk stay, and the rooms are relatively compact. If you can afford it, go to a 5* resort in the Morne area. If you want somewhere cheaper, which is a nice hotel, and you want to get out and see other things on the island, the hotel is good for that. I'd give it 7/10, but there are some areas it could improve on.
Hyvä
Siistiä, palvelu ystävällistä, viihtyisä alue, ruoka hyvää, huonoa että taksilla piti liikkua joka paikkaan
Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Sijainti erillään, rauhallinen paikka. Hyvä ranta snorklaukseen ja auringonottoon.
service impeccable- Bonne restauration
Overall our stay was pleasant, but the hotel needs to improve in several services and support to customers primarily in the area of guest relations. In my view, the infrastructure of the hotel is 4 stars, but the service is only 3 stars.
Pretty Bad Experience
Great location but staff let it down, no water for a shower in the morning and almost overcharged too. Poor breakfast. We won't be going back.
