Lovely, clean and quiet property within a few minutes walk of the central business district where you’ll find parks, museums, restaurants, and shopping opportunities. Room was well equipped to self-cater if you don’t feel like eating out. Having a washer and dryer in the room was an added bonus!

Quest on Manchester is a great hotel. The blockout curtains, double glazing and quality bedding ensures a good sleep. The toiletries are lovely. We would stay here again.

Perfectly laid back and convenient to dining and shopping. We enjoyed our stay.

Very helpful at reception. Generous size standard room and nice having double apect room. Bed very comfortable and bathroom 5 star. Didnt have to park a car, so can't comment there. Great location for walking or hiring ebikes. Downside - kitchenette top cupboards protrude too far and you only miss them with your head if your not so tall. Some dust in areas, like on top edge of showerglass, do check before you hang your towel over this. I am being perhaps picky. However, I would be very happy to stay here again

Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, tour meeting point. Hotel nice.

Although it is not in the city center, it is very close to it and walkable. There are a lot of restaurant options nearby as well. Quiet and generally safe. Room is equipped with kitchen and washer/dryer. The parking needs to be reserved in advance.

Recommend hotel

Reception staff helpful and very friendly. Room was good and quiet. Amenities were great, with efficient washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Only slight criticism was that there were just two of each item of crockery which necessitated either running the dishwasher with just a couple of mugs and plates in or doing dishes by hand before each meal. More energy efficient to have maybe 4 of everything

Newish, attractive property with great staff

Very clean newish or renovated attractive property. Spacious suite, great staff and a short walk to all central business district attractions. Highly recommend!

Great stay

Very tidy place, I will stay again. I rate this place 10 out of 10

The Hotel is close to the bus hub but on a Sunday evening, there's nothing going on around except for a few relatively empty restaurants. Wouldn't want to arrive at night. It's worse since the lobby is closed after 4:00 PM weekends. If arriving during the day, the location is convenient but I liked the location in Kilmore much better. The room is very nice and well equipped.

Spacious and modern studio apartment. Very clean. The only problem was our microwave didn’t work when we wanted to use it at breakfast time before checking out.

Really like front desk service, they were amazing and helpful all the time.

Excellent accommodation, very ckean and tidy. Quiet, blockout curtains. Bed comfortable. Full kitchen eth laundry facilities in the room. Spacious. Good tv with plenty of mivie channels. Secure gated carpark (extra cost) but well worth it. No obvious free parking oitside. Affordable. Pak n save and Woolworths close walking distance. Very friendly meet and greet. We will be visiting again!!

Great stay! Renovated and spotless. It is managed well and the staff are very professional welcoming and helpful. It has easy after-hours check in system. Will return.

The apartment was fine and close to the bus station and a supermarket within walking distance. It's a bit of a walk to get into the city center. Manchester Street is quite noisy and we could hear the traffic from our apartment.

Great property

Awesome upgrades on a very modern and clean hotel. He room was spacious (almost apartment like) and it is close (10min walk) from the downtown. We really enjoyed Christchurch and our stay at Quest on Manchester was a big reason.

Be aware that the parking is not free, $25/day and it is limited. We had to park across Road in paid parking

Great location. I particularly like a tile shower like this rather than plastic. Service folks were great.

While the property was nice, it was difficult to check in after hours and the instructions xant be heard clearly when the after gours intercom is located outside where there is a lot of traffic noise. Patking options are very limited.

This was an excellent property. Well presented clean and comfortable and housekeeping was good. Very convenient location within walking distance of bus station and supermarkets. Good bathroom and shower. Nice white towels etc. Housekeeping was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable. Kitchen had all basic utensils. Good laundry facilities. Convenient. Only complaint is noise from a nearby club until late into the night for one night of our stay.

Nice property with apartment features. Parking is an issue. We could not get one of the spots on the property and ended up having to park about 5 blocks away. The price was reasonable so it was more of an inconvenience than anything.

Everything was perfectcfrom check-in to checkout. Clean, modern and sacious apartment. Very central to all amenities in Christchurch.

Secure car park at this location is useful but would be more convenient included in nightly rate. Terrible noise until 3 am from local bar on both Friday and Saturday nights. Not struck this before but it will certainly prevent us from booking here again.

Lovely place to stay

I was able to spend a very comfortable time. It was my first time in Christchurch for my son’s tennis tournament. I will definitely stay next tournament in Christchurch again. My family and I stayed Quest Carlow Park in Parnel for 3weeks before lockdown and it was so nice as well. And I felt same again. Thank you so so much. Kyoko

Well appointed room with a full kitchen to make a meal, the beds weren't the most comfortable, but solid for a work trip.

We had the worst experience I have ever had after many years of travelling at this Quest. We had driven 6 hours and arrived at Quest only to find that the hotel was fully locked up and no one was there, keeping in mind that this was 3pm in the afternoon, Mondayised public holiday. I was not contacted by anyone at the hotel to say they would not be open on that day despite them having the booking a few days prior. After calling them on their intercom and speaking to their operator for 5 minutes and then being placed on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on, I waited a further 20 minutes outside and no one called back despite them having my details, I then phoned Expedia to cancel the booking. I would have happily stayed if was I able to get inside as we were looking foward to our stay. After all of this Quest charged our card for the stay.  It is very disappointing and unfair that they have charged us as I was standing outside the entry to the hotel, and the only reason I was not able to stay was because the doors were locked and there was not anyone avaliable to let me inside. I would not recommend this hotel and would highly suggest staying somewhere else in the city that actually cares about their customers.

probably more suited to Asian tourists than NZers.

the staff we met were lovely. however with regards to the bedding it was very strange. The sheet was not clean so i took it off expecting it to be replaced. It wasn't! the bed was made up with the top sheet put onto the bottom and the coverlet became our top sheet. all signs were written in Chinese i presume not English as was the elevator language. I forgot we were in Chch at first lol. I think several things have to change to accommodate the home market it could be some time before tourists are able to come back so remember you are in an English/Maori speaking country.

Great place to stay

Reasonably priced, central location. Clean & tidy with plenty of comforts. Only negative was that there was no avaiable parking notwithstanding advice to the contrary on your website.

Got given someone else’s room key and room number upon check-in. Very limited parking and none available when checking in. Wasn’t provided with any information on Reception’s very limited hours.

We only stayed one night but were impressed with the Quest on Manchester and would most definitely stay again. It's in a handy location and the room was clean and very well equipped. Easy check-in and check-out and the beds were comfortable. Only comment would be that a mirror outside of the bathroom would be very handy.
