We had a great stay here, the Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and gave great advice on where we could get dinner. A relaxed and lovely environment. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!
No kitchen equipment, just for a fee
Great site, stayed for 3 nights but would have been happy to stay a lot longer. It has everything you need including a shuttle bus to and from town which is a bonus. Lovely friendly staff.
Good
The property was clean, well maintained and surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Close to the city.
All good though room needs a towel drying rack
Clean and quiet away from the busy areas of queenstown.
Awsome
The area was superb for hiking and the scenery was great. All in all i would recommend this camp site to all
Very welcome by staff accommodation was great very quite scenery was wonderful would stay there again very clean
Awesome staff, nice place looking forward to stay again in the our future family holiday.
Very good
A really cute cabin with bunk beds and a queen. The bathroom building was only a short walk from the cabin. The bathroom was very clean and the showers as well. They have rainfall shower heads!
Love the clean, communal kitchen and shared spaces to hang out!
Good communal areas
Very nice holiday park. Clean, modern. Liked it so much we extended our stay by a night. Only issue being housekeeping forgot to service our room, so when we arrived back after office hours we still had our wet towels on the floor and a full rubbish bin - and couldn’t get any fresh towels until the morning. I recommend renting a kitchen cupboard that comes with cutlery and crockery, and pots and pans - there aren’t any shared items in the kitchen. There is also a great drying room and spa pool. And bonus air con unit in the cabins too, which was awesome. Friendly, helpful staff and a 10-15 min drive into Queenstown itself.
Perfect
Close to Queenstown
The most basic accommodation is comfortable. Kitchen facilities are great . Definitely recommend ! Close to Wueenstown !
Enjoyed a fantastic upgrade to a 2 bedroom unit because of overbooking . Next day back to reality a cabin lol
Nice place .I really like shuttle bus to the town. Kitchen very big clean and tidy. Bathroom clean and warm.
We stayed in one of the basic cabins, just beds and small table. A bit out dated and carpet had a lot of stains on it, over all though the cabin was clean and tidy. The facilities were great everything you need and the staff were lovely and friendly. Pleasant stay and easy to get to. Only a short drive to Queenstown and Arrowtown. Would definitely stay again but up grade to a unit with jug and tea making facilities. Thank you Queenstown top ten, Arthur’s Point, New Zealand
Free shuttle bus to town
Staff very friendly. Difficultnto get access to bathroom as always occupied
Very friendly staff and great location.
A beautiful, quiet little caravan park just a few kms from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. We loved our cosy sanctuary: comfortable cabin; strong, hot showers; shared bathrooms well-heated; a large, clean kitchen and dining area; friendly fellow travellers. The bus stop right outside was handy (about 10 mins to Queenstown), and mountain trails and the Shotover River are only short walk away. Downsides: BYO cutlery, crockery and towels. We didn't bring these and there was an extra fee to rent them. Also extra fee to use hot pool and kids trikes.
Delay with check-in, room wasn’t ready. Had a wedding to attend so bit annoying.
Clean and comfortable room.
Kitchen and toilets are too far from the bedrooms. Bedroom also too small.Gap between bunk bed very low.
Friendly staff, very informative, great room very clean and tidy and ammenities were great !
The staff are magnificent ,ultra friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy
The shuttle to town was the best. Made our trip stress free. Thanks
Ok stay.
Not bad.
Clean and simple
We have booked one night for our family of 5 adults. The unit which is likely a size of 40 ft container is too small, cramped and uncomfortable for 5 of us, hardly any walking -and luggage space. The toilet is very small, and the wash basin is so small that it is hardly useful. There is no pantry sink so washing of utensil is very inconvenience. May be it is suitable for individual back packers, but definitely not recommended for family. Location is also not convenient and there is nothing interesting in the surrounding area of the premise. For the price of over $200/night, it's not worth the money spent, as with this price or slightly higher we can get a much bigger and comfortable unit in Queenstown city centre, which we actually did two days back before coming here.
bathrooms were spotless. Bed linen clean. staff friendly and efficient. Cabin cramped. Too small for2 people let alone4. Tired and in need of replacement or refurbishment. Specific advice on self catering needed. While we arrived with food/ and drink we had no crockery or cutlery, we were forced to dine out. Adding an extra expense we hadn't anticipated
It was a but further out from queenstown than we realised. Hiwever shuttlebus was convenient and efficient. Cabin was tired. Facilities were clean. Need stronger advice on what self sufficient cateribg entails - we coukdnt wven make a tea or coffee because we hadnt brought crockery or cutlery
My family of 5 stayed in the Rata Lodge for 5 nights. Being Malaysian, the -5°C forecasted one night concerned me but we arrived to find the heating in the room and our beds sufficient. The beds and pillows were soft and comfy and the room was clean. Cups, saucers, cereal bowls, cutlery, toaster, kettle, microwave oven and fridge were supplied. The only complaint we had was the tiny sink in the bathroom which meant wetting the bathroom floor every time we washed in it, considering there was no sink in the room to wash our dishes. The communal kitchen included multiple stoves, sinks (washing liquid, brushes and sponge provided), enough tables and chairs, a TV, a fireplace and sofas. We brought along our own utensils since hiring them would cost NZ$5 each time. Thought it neat that there were a fridge and a shelf to store FREE items - unfinished or unlabelled foodstuff - instead of throwing them out. Laundry facilities included a washer and dryer at $4 each per load. We couldn't see detergent added eventhough we had pressed a red button on the machine as instructed. We were then told to press it for a longer time which i did (10 secs or so) and it worked. The staff were generally friendly. James, who drove the shuttle, was especially friendly and helpful! The shuttles to town ran hourly from 9am-12pm, 3pm-7pm and a last trip at 7.30pm, with the return ride departing 15 mins later. Overall an enjoyable stay for an affordable price and we'd certainly recommend it.
Super nice staff, very clean place. Can't go wrong.
Thought toilet and shower area was very clean and warm. Great!
Great spot, very scenic. Nice cabin and staff really friendly and helpful.
Was in a great location. It was clean and staff were helpful and friendly.
Great place situated not too far from Queenstown and a fraction of the cost for a night! They even have a free shuttle service into town. Our cabin was nice and heated blankets were a great bonus! Definitely recommend if you’re heading to Queenstown.
It's really good place to stay. Really enjoyed while we are there.
If you rent a basic/standard room, towels are not included in the price. To use the shared kitchen, you also need to rent a locker with dishes, pots/pans for cooking. Our experience with other holiday parks was that the cost of the room included towels and kitchen equipment to use the shared kitchen. Because we read in previous reviews that you need to make reservations for the shuttle into town, we made certain that we did book the reservations for the shuttle to and from town. To return, we arrived at 7:35 and waited until 8:15 for the 7:45 return shuttle. None came, and we were stranded as it was the last shuttle of the evening. At 8:00 pm, we tried to call the office to ask where the shuttle was; however, the office was closed. We had to take a $22 Uber back to the holiday park. The next day when we checked out, we reported the shuttle problem. The front desk looked at the reservations and did not find our return reservation but did see a return reservation for another family. No explanation for why the shuttle did not show.....we assumed the shuttle and office staff all went home early. If you have a camper van and/or your towels and kitchen equipment, this holiday park has satisfactory shared bathrooms, shared kitchen, and a play area for the children. If you are looking for reasonable accommodations in Queenstown, this holiday park is reasonable, but be prepared for extra fees. The shuttle service is unreliable and alternatives add cost.
The quality of the bathroom area and spaciousness of the kitchen.
Self contained cabin near Queenstown
This is a good place to stay if you need to be close to Queenstown and can't find or afford a place in Queenstown. We were a family of four and had a self contained cabin with a private bath. The cabin was quiet the night we stayed but a little cramped for 4. The staff was excellent and helped us get a hair dryer when we couldn't find one in our room. my kids really enjoyed the jump pillow and the little playground they had. I would recommend.
We had a great time staying there.. thanks
Great staff
The staff were amazing! Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Accommodation was basic, but that is what was left when I booked. Staff more than made up for it :) thanks guys
The facilities were really nice, and the staff were AMAZING!! They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and affordable. We had a great stay here!!
Great place!! Fantastic staff on the desk & driver in to town. Couldn't t have been friendlier
A home from home
Perfect self contained little cottage. Great facilities. Too far to walk to Queenstown but free Shuttle is great. Taxis back are expensive!
Nice holiday park. Quiet surrounding. I have no complain.
A decent place to stay: quiet and great views. A 750m walk down the road to Canyon Food & Brew Co - upscale microbrewery, great pizzas and other mains.
location is nice!! stuff was very friendly, but room is a bit small for 4 people
Was miss booked...our family were in a tiny cabin(that did not look like the pictures online) The play ground was situated away from the cabins and close to the campervan parks(which usually dont have many children traveling in them) The children had to cross the main entrance into the camp to get to the play area and there were campers coming and going all the time so it was dangerous. The driveway had big pot holes in it. The kitchen didnt have any communal pots or pans to use and as we were flying in and out we were not prepared or warned to bring cooking equipment. There were no sheets on the bunks and there were only 1 pillow each per adult and they were pathetic thin ones at that. The curtain was hanging down and unhooked in a large area and there were stainson the floor.
Proximity to many attractions
The shot over is a must try. Very exhilarating and fun. Coronet Peak is stunningly beautiful
Queenstown Stay
The cabin and facilites were well-equipped and kept in very clean conditions.
Amazing!!!
All the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The room was clean and in great condition. Heating was by way of a heat pump in the main room and panel heater in the bunk room. The kitchen appliances, utensils and plates etc were new or near new and nothing was missing. We stayed for 6 nights and would definitely stay again. Thank you to the owner who recommended a local restaurant.
Close to town and mountains
Would have been nice to know the spa and kitchen item need to be paid for not sure if this is common holiday park knowledge but was a surprise. Other than that was great thanks.
Nice warm cosy room. Hot tub was great too after a
Top 10 staff were very helpful. My girls enjoyed the hot tub and pedal fun bikes and playground. Kitchen facilities were great too.
Cheap Queenstown accommodation
Was excellent for a few nights stay. Bit far out of town and not the bests roads into town. Choose rooms carefully as some are older and not so nice. Staff friendly and very helpful Good place for the price!
Nice and friendly staffs. Nice room however there was remained strong food smell in the unit probably from the previous check out.
Warm room, with complimentary shuttle into town.
Found the room to be very claustrophobic. No room to move, couldn't get into one side of bed as it was against the wall. To get past the bed into bathroom I had to duck under the TV or hit my head. Having to park the car in mud and water was not fun. However, apart from it being so small, the heater was efficient.
Accommodation near Queenstown
Clean accommodation with a comfortable bed. The room however was a bit small and the bathroom was definitely too cramped. Parking outside cabin a bit difficult to access especially if big vehicles were parked in the narrow driveway.
Stayed for 3 nights
We had a great stay! clean and comfortable room! Would definitely recommend!
Better top 10 around then this location
Shower no water pressure, room has water leaks, you can hear neighbours and their toilets flushing. Walls need paint job, artwork marked on. Obviously nobody is checking rooms. Should have never rented this one out at 135
very comfortable & close enough to where we wanted
will come again. Nice and comfortable. Met nice people and good friends Lovely to have free shuttle van.
Nice cabin just what we wanted for our one night s
We only wanted a cabin for one night as we were only in Queenstown for 1 day. Good location easy to get to town. Very clean and tidy park
Very organized
Clean linen and clean bed. Easy check in and out. Quiet.
Convenient location
The staff were fantastic. The location is very good. The room is good enough.
Great facilities for a family
Cozy cabin, a bit squishy for 4. Couldn’t fault the rest of the place...clean, well organised.
The location of the park is 13 km away from Queenstown it would be more handy if you drive to town instead of taking the hourly bus service to town. It's a catch 22 situation as you will have to pay for pay and display parking in town ranging from $2 to $4 per hour depending how close you park around the city, but it would be free after 1800 . In general the park is clean and staff and guests are friendly , we have a comfortable 2 nights stay
Easy and fast transaction! Like the complementary wifi.
Short drive to Queenstown. Very near to Shotover jet boat centre.
Good camp out of town a bit.
Booked cabin as extra accommodation over Xmas as not enough room at sisters for all family staying. Cabin a little small for 4 adults but as only using for sleeping it was ok.
Wonderful place to visit!
Great Queenstown stay
Great clean room...Very small but adequate.
Short Stay in Queenstown
Stayed for one night and the facility was okay for that. Very small space in the room for 5 people.
Clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff.
We enjoyed our stay at Top 10 Queenstown. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and arranged all of our activities for us. Overall we were very happy.
It's a great top 10 park for short stopover with kids, but I wouldn't use it as a base for the location. The motel room was quite overlooked from every window, so had to draw all the blinds to get dressed etc. The staff were very helpful and it was very clean.
Worth staying to look at the river.
Good option for a one-night stay. Comfortable unit although a bit squeezy trying to get out of bed on the side against the wall. Kitchen fairly well equipped.
Well run accommodation. Comfy bed. Good common areas. Clean.
Wouldn't return
The stay was a disappointment. We had to pay $10 a day for 2 GB of data and internet often didn't work. The accommodation wasn't what was advertised on the internet and very small. The reception staff were as helpful as they could be.
I love top 10
The only problem was the light bulb blew in the bathroom st night time we had to shower in the dark and couldn't just the mirror in the morning
Expensive hostel with kitchen features
The hostel was a little far from town and required a free shuttle into and out of town. Only problem is last shuttle back to hostel is 7.40 so as far as saving money by staying in a hostel - it becomes difficult as need to taxi back to the hostel each night if want to go out. Another disadvantage of staying in this hostel as it mentioned TV features but there were only 3 working channels. I did like the free shuttles into town though and the hostel staff were very friendly.
Convenient
Very much enjoyed it. The room was comfortable and the hot tub was great after a days skiing
This park had some good ideas in that you were able to hire a cupboard filled with all you would need to cook a meal in their shared kitchen. Their shared kitchen/lounge was quite large and had great facilities. We liked the idea of the small cupboard where you leave behind something you may no longer use for someone else to use. We liked the 2 bathrooms that had shower, toilet and sink - would be nice to have more, but the shared facility had and ample amount of toilets and showers. Overall, thank you for a great stay and we will book there again if we come back to Queenstown.
Helpful staff and location is close to city
Overall experience was satisfactory. Hotel staff was really helpful from day 1 of checking into the holiday park, provides thorough explanation to us of the benefits of joining Top10 membership (Unfortunately we didn't in the end), they were helpful in assisting us in booking of attractions & finding the cheapest ticket for us. Room size is slightly small compared to the photos posted, the only disappointment was the cleanliness of bedsheets was not up to expectations, lots of dusts & previous traveler's hair can be found on pillows. There was a electric heating pad on bed which was good for winter.
Great comfy room with great facilities and a really nice comfy and happy vibe.
Room was set up like a backpacker room. Bunk beds only. A touch run down and a little noisy as the rooms are close and joined by a hall. Compared to other accommodation I've visited, it was higher priced for what you get compared to other nicer accommodation.. having said that, the community kitchen lounge was nice and the toilets were new and extremely tidy. We had to pay $30 to hire a kitchen cupboard for cups plates utensils $20 of which was refunded on departure.
Handy location
Nice stay, convenient & clean, the room was a little small
Lovely cabin with all necessary features.
My husband and I loved our stay here. The shuttle and personal were excellent allowing us to go into Queenstown when we wished. Well done folks.
Great situation
Welcoming helpful friendly staff. Complementary minibus service into and from Queenstown - parking places in town not easy to find - so that was huge help. Cabin very comfortable, clean and supplied with all needs. Hot tub - lovely!
Excellent Holiday Park!
We had a fantastic two night stay at Arthur's Point while staying in Queenstown.
Was really good
Basic accommodation in quiet location
Lovely location in quiet area. Room a bit basic and in need of updating
Peaceful
Power point in room caught in fire while we were using it. Bathrooms flooded whenever anyone took a shower. Staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful and dynamic (especially Lorna).
Queenstown TOP 10 Holiday Park | Home in Arthur's Point | Travala.com
The room we had was nice and furnished well. They charge per person in the room and our 3 year old is considered an adult. There is a shuttle service to town which is nice. It fills up fast so book ahead. A brewery is close by and on a scenic river. The NZ police decided to setup a check point on the road out front just past the park. We turned in to the park and an officer walked over to our room from the road. He said we should have continued up to their checkpoint eventhough it was past our turn in. He proceeded to give me a breathalyzer test which we passed. It was frustrating. The park manager stopped by during this to see what was going on. He only spoke to the officer and nothing to us after. The place was expensive but there weren't a lot of options in Queenstown. Not our first choice as this is a car park and multi use facility. It worked for our needs.
