The hotel is cheap for the location in London. The rooms are tiny, far too warm with an extremely uncomfortable mattress. However if you just want somewhere to put your head down at night this will do.
Not a bad hotel, need some sorting out
Had to change rooms due to a smell of sewage in the first one second room there is no hot water until I rang reception and they had to do something
It's a horrible experience in my hotel life. Poor staff service No housekeeping No chair and table in the room Door locks broken No cupboard No heating in this cold weather Terible lobby Charge deposit room. Security Which never seen all over the world Y you people entertain these kinds of groups All over it's terrible
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I travel the UK with work and this has to be THE WORST hotel ever.
It’s good staying in the hotel.
Not a pleasant stay
We booked a family room from 14th to 17th Dec 2024. Rooms are extremely small, no place to move. Almost no place for storage; the bathroom is too compact. It is far different than what is shown on the booking sites. It was a total disappointment for us. The only good thing was the staff; they were really helpful and cordial.
The room we were provided was in an area of the hotel under maintenance. We requested an alternate room and they accommodated us with no problems
The halls are small and it feels like out of a movie small. Bed was not comfortable since you could feel the springs. Over all very cute and walking distance to paddington station
The Room was so small and warm. was not a pleasant stay.
Room was not at all what was advertised. Seems to be two parts to the hotel but when booking all see the same lovely photos but the reality of the room was terrible. I felt like I was staying in student accommodation. The bed was on wheels & creaked at every move.
The front desk staff were wonderful
Absolutely awful! Bed was on wheels and as soon as you sit on it it wheels off, I am disabled so very dangerous especially for people like me a oven hon over the fridge next to the sink which is also near live plug socks. Non of the plugs had pat tested stickers on. The tv was soo small. The towels smelt awful. Won't be going back and not worth the £140 a night
Was great fir being close to shops and the tube friendly staff would stay again , i liked it buy otherss didnt i guess its hard to please sime people but i enjoyed my stay
Great value for money
Very basic but we paid basic price. It was clean with comfortable beds. It had everything we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great too. Excellent value for money
There was a warm welcome from Reception staff on arrival and checking-in was simple. The room was well-fitted with a comfortable bed and clean linen. The en-suite shower was clean and everything worked. The hotel overall is well maintained and kept to a high standard.
I booked this hotel because Expedia said it had air conditioning. Air conditioners and televisions did not work in several rooms I was offered. When I confronted staff about the air conditioning, the response was: "we don't guarantee that they work."
Great base for my short trip Good facilites and good value It was very hot in my room and the AC was not very effective this is my only complaint
Dangerous and unhealthy
A run down room at the end of a dingy corridor, you get what you pay for I guess - toilet would not flush after filling all night
We left after one night even though we had two nights. It was very small and the manager and staff did not help at all.
Great value, great for the tube , high possibility for re-booking for a 1 night stay
The room was a lot smaller than I expected. I also didn't like that I was in an odd location in the hotel. I was put in a room where I had to walk through a few hallways and one hallway that was super narrow and sketchy. The walls were thin and not soundproofed. I could hear everything from the neighboring guest, which made me extremely uncomfortable and made it hard for me to sleep.
The rooms are smelly,no air conditioning, the window doesn't open either and if you're colored skin they will put you right at the back which is #518.I literally had to tell them that my brother have a bad foot and I want a different room. The wifi dont work on the bottom floor of the hotel. The fitted sheet wasn't spead properly.
There was no AC in the building. I also had to carry my luggage up and down stairs and down corridors. The room is okay. There are better options for the money. But the area is impeccable.
Cleanliness is a must and wifi signals to all rooms were quite bad.
air con in all rooms NOT WORKING! Been down for months . Staff couldn’t give an answer to why !! Needs modernising , very old and smelly . Breakfast service was good but hardly any vegetarian option !!! Disappointed payed for breakfast but no option !! Staff were pleasant. Overpriced for what you get . Location is the only positive 2 min walk to Hyde park , 25 mins to Marble Arch
ALL GOOD
Birthday treat
The location is great easily accessible to the underground and buses. We did complain about the room as it seemed to be at the one end used for staff, very tired, uncomfortable bed, damage that hadn’t been repaired. Staff listened and moved us to a newly refurbished lovely room. It was my birthday whilst there and I came back after a fun packed day to find balloons and swans, hearts designed from towels. All staff were lovely and friendly.
A concern about our accommodation was addressed by the front desk. Overall we were satisfied
old property.need remodel. Very accessible
Very good location, close to the tube
Value in london
Great value for money
Would not stay again
We were put in a room which had a whole in the ceiling and no air conditioning as the weather was very hot and room was really tiny. Complained and was put in another room, again which was tiny and tv not working. Milk was off and could not have a cup of tea. 1 pillow between 2 adults and bed was very uncomfortable
Good location, terrible rooms had to get ours changed upon arrival because of the appaling smell and dirtiness resembling that of an un-padded cell. Were then transferred rooms to one that was cleaner however had construction going on the balcony connecting, scaffolding straight up to our window so we had to keep that shut for the duration of the weekend alongside no air being in the room, upon our checkout day after a very warm night there was no hot water from the shower or taps. Photos and description are not as advertised and I feel both swindled by the hotel and Expedia for falsely advertising. Will not be staying or recommending even for a cheap stay.
Cheap night in london
The room was in the basement didnt dare to look at the mattress. Very basic. But cheapest could find breakfast was excellent though.
Rooms are nothing as they appear to be on the website. It was dirty. Staff were unhelpful.
AVOID. AVOID . AVOID
Absolutely terrible, filthy, bathroom was disgusting. Nothing like the images you show online. A complete waste of £350. I feel so disappointed. I have also heard they have a problem with bed bugs! Do not stay here.
Near Hyde Park
My second stay here as it’s a great stay near Hyde park. 😊
Wow, how does this hotel survive, the corridors, carpets and smell was horrendous, I wasn’t expect 5 stars but 3stars is a massive stretch! The staff were lovely and the cleaning staff were great, but honestly the state of the hotel (other than the foyer) is awful! The staff do the best they can do with what they’ve got, but clearly someone is making money out of location versus quality. Will never return and I suggest you don’t waste your money!
Waste of money
Room was awful, mould all over the bathroom, very small room with a big heater on the wall held together by duct tape
Nice and quiet and convenient
Room had blood on the floor, bathroom door broken, walls not clean at all with loads of marks, room quite tight. Not sure if they took advantage seeing 2 young people that don’t really mind but there’s no chance I’d stay there again as some of the rooms looked nice when walked past but we were chucked in a back room on the top floor which is nowhere near worth the same price as the others
Dissappointed!!
The overall experience was, meh. The lobby was clean and staff friendly enough. The impression quickly went downhill when we got to our room. We were traveling as 3 adults and needed a room to accommodate a single and a couple. The room was quite cramped. The floor was very old and worn and lifting in spots. The desk was broken and beat up with no bottom in the drawer that wouldn't open. The closet was taken up with a broken stove and sink that looks like it came out of a caravan. The bathroom was clean enough. The beds were a completely new level of uncomfortable like I've never experienced. I asked for extra blankets just to be able to sleep on top of to see if it would be better. The blankets were delivered somewhat begrudgingly and we had to cover one ourselves. They did not help improve any comfort. The single bed was on rollers and moved anytime it was touched. The double was jammed up against the wall and the person on the inside was made to climb up the end to get in it. This room was so out of date and beat up, it looked like a storage room made to accommodate more than two people. If this is where they allow families to stay, I strongly discourage this choice of hotel. We did not complain as we stayed two nights only. Upon leaving the hotel we saw one of the other rooms that was being cleaned. That room looked newer and much more up to date. I should have spoken with someone upon seeing this stark difference between our room and this. I feel like I was duped. Zero stars
Unacceptable!
The should not be aproved for hotel. This place is set up as a rooming house. The room and bathroom was unbelievably small. I would never go back to thos place, for free.
Myself and my wife stayed overnight last night and even though the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel looked like it needed a good scrub from top to bottom or even a makeover. There was an odd smell as you come down the stairs to the rooms in the basement. The doors looked like they needed replqcing and there was a smell of sewage when you go outside of the hotel. Not great. The room also smelt like rubber.
This isn't the place to stay for long. Even if the rooms are not the cleanest.
Very tired room in the basement a bit gruby and needs redecoration Could hear everything next room were saying and doors banging all the time Bathroom was alright with good shower
Basic but would stay again
Handy hotel for London but basic and were lower ground so window looked onto wall and let in no light, but value for money and clean. Would stay again
The room I was offered was not the same as the real room, I had to change the hotel
Good hotel and excellent value for money.
Nice stay, 3-4 mins walk to nearest tube, fairly big hotel, decent size room and slept well. Reception staff were very friendly, happy to help with directions, taxi's etc. Room was clean although quite dated and def needs some TLC but for the price it was good value for money and would have no issue staying again.
Cheap and cheerful
Small rooms but for what we needed for a football weekend was fine. Bathroom was clean and a good powerful shower. Cheap and cheerful. If your expecting luxury pay alot more and go else where. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. For the price I can not find fault.
Very nice room and quiet and clean area.
waooo no words to describe how poorly maintained this property is, I traveled a lot and used Expedia a lot…but this place is filthy, dirty. Just because you are not a 4 star or a 5 start that doesn’t mean you can’t take care of your property, be clean and welcoming to your guest .What a disappointment is on a great area but is an embarrassment
Won't use again
Stayed in a basement room. Bed was uncomfortable, the room was cold and noisy. Shower head was broken. Very tired room decor, marked walls.
Good place for the price. Next to Hyde park and Queensway.
The hotel initially was good, staff were lovely and helpful. It was just the room itself stank of cigarettes, door handles were held together with gaffa tape, bathroom sink drain stank, shower head in disrepair, shower didn’t drain very well. The part of the building our room was in also felt a bit neglected and separate to the rest of the hotel. I’m sure there are plenty of much better rooms in the place, and it wasn’t a disaster. Everything was clean. The staff clearly all do their jobs very well, it’s just worth noting these things if you book a cheaper room here late notice like I did. It wasn’t like the photos. This room felt a bit more like a hostel.
Solid 3star
Room modern and clean, maybe a bit too small for more than a nights stay but bathroom & room clean with great power shower. Air con also good and easy to use Location perfect to walk straight into Hyde Park
Excellent
Window was right by my head very drafty next door quests very noisy complained but nothing done not much sleep they should of refunded me breakfast good
To be honest for the price I paid the room was awful
If you are not a local ,I would suggest check the room in person before paying for it . The photos advertised are completely opposite to actual room . We had to pay extra 35 pounds to upgrades our room Bcz the room they gave us was so tiny and mattress was completely flat with no springs . Couldn’t sleep at night .
Nice service
Lovely Hotel that was a good price with a great location. Very clean and staff are professional
Good
Needed a cheap room near Paddington, close to work for a couple of days. This hotel did the job, quiet no trouble sleeping.
The room was tiny, the sheets were damp, the carpeted floor was filthy, the bed had pubic hairs in it, the heating didn’t work- I fixed the portable convector heater in the room by putting a new fuse in it - there was only one plug socket and it looked like it had fused before from the burn stain on it - the carpeting in the hallway on the stairs is inadequately fixed to the stairs - I tripped on it twice - urine stains on the toilet, and floor - I’ve stayed in thousands of budget hotels across the world and this, in my estimation on the basis of my experience, was the worst.
Felt safe the room was clean and comfy facilities good nice stay.
Not great
Room was either too hot or too cold. AC unit had a terrible mildew smell. Walls in the room made it feel dirty due to marks and chunks missing. Dated decor. Room key stopped working after 1 use. Could hear clear conversations from other peoples rooms.
Spent the days out and about. Good place to sleep & eat. Comfortable, clean. Small rooms, but just enough.
Terrible Breakfast
To be honest the hotel was mediocre at best. I did expect a little better for the price. But was in a decent location. The rooms were tiny and I mean very small, the shower was very small too, I could barely move. But I am quite a big broad man. My biggest gripe was the breakfast, this was dreadful. Nothing was cooked properly. The orange juice literally tasted like water, coffee machines didn’t work and the other ran out of beans, I told staff and they did nothing about it. The bacon was warmed up at best, it looked disgusting. There was no eggs out, they didn’t have any, so they put mushrooms out instead, that’s not even in the same spectrum??!! The hash brown were just mushy. Tbh the whole breakfast experience was just dier. But as I said purely for the price and its location, I may stay there again. But would not entertain the breakfast, at all!!! The bedrooms were far too small, especially for two people.
For the rate of room charged, the room was no more than a jail room in the basement of the hotel with lot of noise all over the night.. waste of money and sleep..zero value for money spend...
BAD HOTEL
The moment I walked into the hotel, I felt a chill, both from the broken window and the frosty reception by the staff. The bathroom, rather than a sanctuary, felt like a public viewing gallery with its clear view onto the busy street. A far cry from the relaxing retreat I had envisioned!
Get what you pay for.
Have stayed at this hotel a few times. It's convenient and does what it says on the tin for the price. Don't expect the Ritz.
Photographs on the Expedia website of the bedrooms in this property bore no resemblance to the actual reality. The lower ground floor triple bedroom we were checked into for our two night stay was filthy, uncarpeted, cold, walls and skirting boards rotted, shower room toilet flush broken....... What an absolute nightmare. The staff were very reluctant to change our room after we complained and initially told us nothing else was available..This was untrue. We were eventually shown another two rooms, one with a single and one double bed (unsuitable) and another triple bedded room. We reluctantly chose the latter, it was at least on the ground floor rather than subterranean, had a 'carpet', unfortunately dirty and stained, but felt warm. There were a number of other issues here also as it turned out. The heating in the room was faulty and could not be regulated so it was very hot and the A/C was broken. One of the windows was Duck taped sealed shut. The shower room sink was also blocked and the shower tray and surrounding area was unclean and had mildew...... Three sachets of coffee were provided but the mini cartons of milk were sour. The sink was unblocked after a day and the A/C worked on our last morning. Thankfully this was only a short stay but definitely not worth the close to £400 we paid. Definitely NOT recommended. BEWARE!
Good
Even though this hotel is right next to close to Oxford street, it has sense of calm the moment you walk in through the doors. Clean rooms. I will definitely go back.
We liked everything about this hotel
had a lovely stay. comfortable and much better than expected
Shower head was held on with tape. Stairs down to reception were very uneven and slippy.
Poor service
If I could only give zero rating to this property. This property has a lot of water damage and mildew smell. The first room given to us was very hot, two random night stands, toilet missing flush cover. The second room had a wall painting that fell on the bed, thank go we did not have any kids as this would have caused serious injuries. Do not bother the staff with your questions as they will not assist you for any reason.
Room clean and tidy, TV didn’t work, air conditioner didn’t work Dining good except no vegetarian options at breakfast.
Looked good from the front. Reception was nice and the hotel is in a nice area. However, step through to the corridors and the hotel is undrr refurb. The room was clean but yhe bathroom sink tap was held on with sealant. Beds were terrible and only one pillow. Room was very hot.
QP Hotel
The furniture of the room was very poor , there was no head light & mirror in the room , had to go to the room door to turn the lights on and off , there was kitchenette in the room ?? But no water coming from tap , central heating was not operating, when i asked the guy at reception he told me to turn the tap on top leff hand side but there was still no heating, the corridors were caotic the signs indicating the lift were unsuffient . I was slightly ill and the reception if they can find me a private taxi and their reply was “ there are black cabs if i work to the street “ i will not recommend this hotel to nobody and the price is not worth it
3 night stay
Overall, the hotel was very comfortable and located in a central location in London and I went easy access across London. Our room was very clean and met our needs. There was a slight problem with the shower in that the water was lukewarm. I was advised that there’s been a problem with the boiler.
When i arrived the staff weren't all that nice to me. I was given my room key down to the basement, which I understand that ALL space needs to be used, so that didnt matter, but i was then met with cracked walls and discoloured paint to cover it before getting to my room. I got into my room that had markings all over the walls as though coffee had been spilt all over it, plus paint peeling all through the base of the walls. There was a hole in the wall where the door handle had been pushed into the wall. I slept with a chair beneath the door handle as I felt very unsafe. I also had issues with payment. I paid $140 pounds for the night through expedia, and then for some reason paid another $112 pounds at the property. When i questioned it later through expedia I was told the hotel said there was no problem with payments and that i wouldnt be getting a refund even though I had proof of two transactions. I would NOT recommend this 'hotel' to anyone.
The plug sockets all tripped out every time I boiled the kettle! Easily fixed by reception staff flicking the trip switch for my room back on..... not sure how safe the electrics actually were though.....
I could have paid my head. That's the only thing I like
Me and my son was disappointed, we booked through online, we arrived in the hotel and we found out that our roonm was on the basements no window and no air-conditioned , i felt suffocated the corridor was smell of cannabis, tried to change our room but no chance until 3 times I approached the reception and they said I need to pay for extra they got deluxe room I dont have so I pay extra andwe moved to a de luxe room we don't have rest because it was very noisy early morning.I cant recommend this hotel it was a worst experienced.
Passable
The location is really good, but the hotel needs refurbishing. Also, cleaning has to be improved a lot. The room size was good, however, bed are uncomfortable. The room telephone for reception was not working too.
Stay away
The hotel was dirty, loud, and uncomfortable. A hostel or motel would have been a better fit. This was not a good choice for a place to stay at all.
The smell of sick in the room with all the marks up the wall checked out a day early just couldn’t handle the smell
You need to look at the quality of Mattress used and to provide at least 2 pillows
Staff not welcoming or helpful
The place is convenient
first time with family in london. was given a basement room with no windows. felt scared with family. asked for three beds and given two. will remove the rating if refund given. worst stay ever
Reception was friendly and helpful and,as we arrived some hours before check-in, allowed us to leave our bags whilst we explored the neighbourhood. We were allocated a basement room which was clean and reasonably sized. (Being in the basement area meant there was some noise from the underground rail system, but not loud enough to be annoying)The bathroom was on the small side but was adequate. The shower was great and the supplied toiletries were welcome. We would choose this hotel were we to stay in the area again.
The staff was great and the breakfast was good. The rooms, however, did not live up to the pictures posted on the booking site. The bathroom was cramped and the rooms were small and there was a funky smell. The outside of the property, however, is beautiful!
Highly Recommend
Great location. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff.

Don’t book please if you care about your health
Please don’t book there pay extra money somewhere comfortable and clean I had bad experience dirty hotel, all furniture smells really bad. The beds are really miserable and mattress. Not worth it even £1 if you wanna have a good experience in London don’t book in the hotel please thank you.
