First room we were given there were bugs on bed. Requested a refund but was told to try another room there was trash in trash bin in room when we finally got settled in a clean room. The next morning a maintenance worker decided it was ok just to unlock door and walk in while we were still in bed a 8 am in morning after hearing a dog barking all night reported it to front desk and they again stated there was nothing they would do even though there are signs on desk saying no pets allowed
Room had patches from repairs, run down and old looking. For over $100 a night, clean towels and coffee could be restocked. Breakfast had no healthy options.
Nice room, quiet.
Good value, clean, and safe.
Clean, like the fridge microwave, location is good for food, only thing that would be nice is they ran out of oranges yogurt and wheat toast 3 days before the end of my stay and didn’t replace any of them. Still recommend this place.
Clean rooms at a great price
Great stay, professional, courteous, friendly staff.. this will be my go to hotel next time I’m in the area!
One night stay
One night stay - property was ok overall but needs some basic maintenance work. Entry door was hard to open and close due to being out of alignment. Ice maker was not working, regular coffee section of coffee maker in lobby was not working, office printer was dead so no receipt, and the hotel had stopped providing hot breakfast. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working and the cover for the light was missing. On the plus side, the beds were new and extra thick padding, TV and internet were functioning. Not really up to the standard of a Quality Inn but ok for the price.
Well managed hotel, comfortable bed, good shower, good coffee, good desk & chair and warm friendly staff - I will stay again next time I’m in the area.
Price was good. 3 restaurants were close by. Ice machines weren't working. No hot breakfast & limited choice & not fresh. Coffee machine wasn't working. Shower was in poor repair.
Close to highway, and restaurants, and fuel
Clean
The room design is fire.
I'm not used to tall beds and thick pillows. My body didn't know what to do - so I didn't sleep that much.
had to slam door to get it shut. when we turned off heater/ac the fan blew all the time. key only opened door once. when rekey it would work for one entry.
It was worth the price i spent, if you need a place to stay for a few nights, it's perfect.
Blah
The beds were horrible, we got locked out of the room day two because of somthing about having reactivate te card each dsy your there. No smoke detector ,
Just okay
Room was good spotted a cockroach or two in the room. Overall pretty good. I asked if there was a ground floor room available and was told nine were but when I walked by the first floor there were plenty available. Slightly disappointed as we have bikes and no elevator.
The front desk staff was extremely difficult. Everything about my reservation was incorrect and the clerk was unwilling to cooperate. She even argued with me about which credit card was on file. She had a credit card number and type which was not mine and she insisted that it was. There's a lot more that happened but not going to type it all. I was very upset about the whole situation.
How clean and clam it js
Nice room
Gor bit on arm.while.sleeping
!!
Very poor rooms and staff
The rooms did NOT look like the rooms advertised on line. Couches were stained full dirty spots. Bathrooms just looked dirty. Rims of tubs were separating from floor and nasty down the sides. Had to request another room and it was not any better. Tiles were paper thin and NO washcloths in the room. Asked for more tiles and some washcloths, but no one EVER brought them. Got ready to call down to front desk and the phone was disgustingly nasty and didn’t even work. At that point I simply said forget it. Went and bought wash cloths and tiles and Lysol spray and wipes plus candles. Since it was non refundable
Amazing place to stay.
If you want to rest, stay elsewhere
This is as economy as it gets. Room was kinda clean. Had a group of people that hung out in the parking lot and had a good night, not caring how loud they were. People slamming doors on both sides of us. Uncomfortable bed. Booger on the wall. Breakfast was poor. Biscuits were hard. Waffles were pretty good. Just overall, unimpressed with this property amd will not stay here again.
Good
We had connecting rooms which was great. The floor in one room had clear tape holding down some of the strips. It was coming loose. If we had been staying more than one night I would have gotten some Gorilla glue and fixed it.
Very nice breakfast buffet.
Very close to the Oak Mountain amphitheatre and nice restaurants! Staff was quite courteous!
Would not stay here again
We had a non-smoking room but it smelled like smoke, there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector, the floor was coming up from what looked like previous water damage. Overall condition and cleanliness was not good.
Convenient location and reasonable price
Hootie Concert
It was nice
Wrongfully sought out payment
they tried to charge me for a night i did not stay, and the only reason we did not stay here was due to their lack of accommodation i will not book here again. I called to notify them that we would have a late check in and the clerk told me i would have to go ahead and pay for the night by giving her my cc info. If that’s the case i would have just paid the room in advance instead of waiting to get there and do the transaction in person. Common courtesy goes a very long way especially during these times.
Close to Oak Mountain Amphitheater. The hotel/room was a dump.
It was walkable to Oak Mountain Amphitheatre. The hotel and the room were an absolute disaster. The room was run down and filthy.
Was a great place.
Great for the price!
Nice clean place, friendly staff that worked hard to help wherever asked. Older place but it had good ac, hot showers, comfortable beds, and for breakfast several hot/cold options with a very hard worker to keep it filled and clean.
The property and room were clean and perfectly adequate but nothing special. The refrigerator in my room and the upstairs ice machine did not work. I got locked out of my room when the battery on the door’s lock plate died unexpectedly. While the front desk staff did their best to deal with this situation, it was still inconvenient and upsetting. I would probably choose a different hotel next time.
Great ease of Check in. Very quiet and clean. Breakfast was good and the young lady supplying the breakfast food was a joy!!
Littke mishaps do hapoen
Delay checking in room was beinf cleaned, killed a roach running in when entered room, second day fot back and key csred had been deactivated and a roach was running across the ned covers while granddaughter waa sleeping even wirh this stay was not that bad.
The floor in the room was dirty. Neither the sink nor the tub had had stoppers for the drains. Miss Stephanie, on the front desk was amazing! Very friendly, very helpful. amazing!
I tried to cancel. Reservation. Canceation time was before my plane landed.
Didn’t mind the property looked dated, but the overall cleanliness was poor. You can easily tell dusting was non existent, there was dirt and dust in corners of the room, & bathroom. Asking for linen refresh or change did not happen even though it was asked for 1x during our 7 night stay. You had to ask for towels to be changed or given to you, and toilet paper. Yes there was a decent continental breakfast offered daily, but housekeeping could use some improvement.
Our stay was fine, quiet location, decently clean, comfortable beds. Our biggest disappointment was that our tv didn’t work at all, wouldn’t even turn on. Which is inconvenient when you have kids.
Good clean, would stay again. My only complaint would be the bed was squeaky, time to be replaced.
Short stay 2 nights
It’s a motel. Nothing bad nothing good really. Stayed a couple nights for a softball tournament. Breakfast was typical waffles muffins fruit. It was a cheap convenient option. There is a good Chinese hibachi buffet crab shack and Texas Roadhouse close by.
1 queen bed in first room wa not made up, we were moved to another room. Floor in both rooms were coming apart, causing a tripping hazard.
Quick roadtrip stay
Clean and efficient with friendly staff, the perfect location for a quick roadtrip stay.
The pool was great Breakfast was good limited seating. Rooms were okay the only thing you as a guest have tio tell the front desk to have your towels refreshed and bed sheets to be changed. I will not be giung back there.
Room was clean and beds comfy. Tv did not work. A/C worked but not very well.
Clean room with very good AC and plenty of hot water. Hot breakfast with a hard working nice attendant. Would definitely stay there again.
Place was clean and affordable. The desk was fast and friendly
Do not stay here, false advetise and refuse refund
Booked two rooms and their policy says they accept pets but when I got there they told me they didn’t. Refused to refund.
Overall ok for an older property. Some features in the room didn’t work.
Room had a musty smell
Ice machine not working
Oak Mountain
Clean comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Excellent location close to food & the Amazing Oak Mountain State Park
My husband and I stayed for two nights. The price was great and an easy commute to and from UAB medical
Very Nice
Good than i thought nice an clean room service is very good people are friendly welcoming like guest must visit once money worthit
Good
Nothing
Ok for one night
Room was ok for 1 night. Could tell hotel trying to remodel, new tub/shower, toilet. But painting needed done in a big way! Baseboards in bathroom were gross, dirty, moldy. Beds were squeaky and hard. Need replacing. Bed cover had stain that I did not make.
The website said we were old enough for the hotel( I’m 19) and once we got there they made us pay first just to tell us we were not old enough and they were not going to even give us our money back unless we said something
Room smelled like ashtray and it was one of the nonsmoking rooms. And if it didn’t smelled like cigarettes it smelled like somebody’s armpit as soon as you open the door. We left as soon as we open the room door.
I didn’t even check in because when me and my friend got there they said we couldn’t check in because we weren’t 21. My mom booked the hotel for me and I had the conformation email and everything but they still wouldn’t let us get our room. My mom even told them when she booked the room that I was under 21 and they said that it was fine over the phone but obviously when me and my friend got there it wasn't.
Quiet and accessible to restaurant
Clean hotel and good service
Avoid if a solo female traveler
This motel was a tad on the rough side. The ice machines looked gross the rooms could use some TLC. My main concerns as a single woman are 1. The window did not have a lock on it, and 2. My key stopped working and they didn’t verify my identification before resetting the cards. Also, there were exposed wires coming out of the heater/AC.
Breakfast was limited. Our room was supposed to have a pull out couch and had a small chair.
Clean room, comfortable bed, good hot breakfast, 15 minutes to downtown Birmingham.
Definitely outdated
Great Price - Clean property.
This was a decent property for a good price. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad. The hotel was clean and safe. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. I will definitely stay here again should I visit this area.
Hanging out
It was a pleasure staying here for it met the need of a place to hang out while my wife was at a women’s conference with our Church organization.
The staff very courteous
No real complaints other than the size of the tv in the room
Rooms were clean and had good water pressure in the shower. Didn’t like the noise from the interstate. Rooms on the back side of the hotel were quieter rooms.
Trouble-Frer Stay
All good !
Room was disgusting! Bothe beds sheets had stains all over them. There were dried boogers stuck to the wall! Bathroom faucet was about to fall off. Floors are filthy, which left white socks black. Holes in walls that had been poorly patched. Smashed bugs on ceiling. Won't be back! Went to my daughter’s room 2 doors down and she had similar complaints. Found a ladies long fingernails laying by bed! Just a bad experience.
Room smell smoking all the time, they don’t have true NO SMOKING Rooms.
Great location
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but my complaint was the floors weren't all that clean. Overall, I enjoyed my visit.
This was ok (barely) for a one night layover. The sheets was not changed, water leaked into the room from the rain and the towels was dirty.. service was excellent.
Staff was amazing and so friendly. Breakfast was great. However the bedding was stained and floors was dirty.
The entire reason I selected this facility was location and that it had adjoining rooms at a reasonable price. When I arrived you could not open the adjoining rooms, the door is broken and locked shut. The property manager was notified and he even tried to fix it but was unable.
Excellent stay. Cheap price. Friendly staff. Great free breakfast.
Very easy to get to.
Bad experience.
We get there in the evening and checked in. The room they give us is a complete mess, no one cleaned it up. Beds were not made trash in the corner empty. The front desk guy was polite, said that he apologizes but it was marked as clean in the system. He told us there were no more nonsmoking rooms so we were stuck with a smoking room. It took another 10mins for him to change rooms on the computer, he said it won’t let him change it. However, he finally figured it out and we were able to check in. Our new room had hair in the shower, a microwave where the door looks like it melted and very squeaky beds were anytime you moved they make a loud noise. Also after the first night our key didn’t work so I had to go down to get a new key. That front desk person was not necessarily rude but also not friendly either. Which wouldn’t normally bother me but since everything else was going on it annoyed me. The staff were nice enough but also very creepy. We were there for two nights. Both Saturday and Sunday morning we had staff very creepily stare in our room through the window. Like hands around their face so they can see in better and stare through for a good few seconds. My spouse was changing one of those time so we not happy. I get maybe they were checking to see if we left yet but that is what their POS system is for.
everything as noted
I liked the breakfast and staff. Good hotel.
Other than a very worn out office chair, the room was just fine. $100 a night to crash next to the Interstate.
We chose the Quality Inn because of the low cost compared to other hotels in the area, also the free breakfast. For the price, it was clean enough, nice enough, quiet enough, friendly staff. Our only complaint was that our smoke free room reeked of smoke. We were too tired upon arrival to ask for a different room so we just tolerated it, since we were only staying 1 night. The room definitely needed freshening. Other than that it was fine for the price.
It was a convenient area
The door does not deadbolt or lock, hole in tub and not sure what’s in the shower. The tv does not work either. Too tired to call and complain. Hopefully we get a rested night even with the issues. Paid way too much for this room. Very disappointed because staff were incredible at check in and lobby immaculate!
QIR
That theres a quality inn that Quality Inn
Room was comfortable,as clean as could be but some imperfections due to older and not maintained as well as could be
The flooring was coming up and my sister yrippped twice on the floor in room 108
The breakfast food was great. I appreciated the eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy, for a hearty breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet.
Floors were coming up had to keep shoes on . Had people above us fighting and yelling banging on door's for 2 hours around 10 pm until midnight. Beds comfortable. Couldn't park in front of our room. No luggage rack for luggage, had to hand carry our luggage to room.
