Near to beach and city center, clean and parking was free.
Clean unit. The units inside are starting to show a bit of wear and tear. The shower silicone is showing its age with mould and dirt. The bathroom door is swollen from water damage and doesnt close properly. The airconditioner doesnt go below 22C...and the zone for the bedroom speed control was not working so it was blowing at maximum speed for the whole time and makes such a rattling noise and keeps blowing the blinds against the bedroom window so you can not sleep properly due to the noise.
Location was great, very comfortable large apartment
Great location.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Facilities are great.
Great location ,good view. Excellent pool area for the kids
Beautiful room with amazing views in the heart of Suffers Paradise, walking distance to bars, dinning options, shopping, groceries and beach.
Very happy with everything
Room was great size and well equipped. Location is great, close to restaurants beach
Friendly staff, great room and views, close to transport
Was a very clean property, great view and friendly staff.
Great views from the apartment window. Very quiet. Great location and within walking distance to central surfers paradise. Reception staff were lovely. Only criticism is that the blinds aren’t the best at blocking out morning sun, especially if you’re a light sleeper and wake to light. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Absolutely great weekend
Room was larger than expected with gorgeous views of the city. Staff were amazing, check was pain less. Had the buffet breakfast at the top of Q1.
Nice huge rooms with everything there. I enjoyed the stay here
Great sized too
Unit was well played out & had all the amenities. The bed was not very comfortable & there were no block out curtains for the morning.
Great location and views from the property. We had to shorten our stay due to Alfred cyclone approaching, but hope to come back some other time again.

Excellent!!! Amazing rooms with everything you could wish for! Facilities were excellent too, Pools indoors and two outdoors, gym and ideal location.
Very convenience
All good
Great place to stay
This is our second stay at the Q1 & noted that the place seems run down since our last stay (around 7 years ago). The rooms are starting to look dated & are in need of some TLC. Also the showers could be better cleaned around the door frames, I could see dirt which was not pleasant. The halls ways felt too hot and the carpet needed more regular vacuuming.
Upon arrival q1 was amazing, a few hours had past and I went to go use the hot water for a shower and found my room had no hot water. I called reception and they managed to get maintenance up there to try and fix it. I was left for 45 minutes with the water running and no idea what was happening. I called reception again to be told I was getting a new room. All was good until I was given the key and had zero help from staff to move my bags. I was a solo traveller. They moved me to a room which in my opinion wasn’t as nice, however the bed was very comfortable. After complaining about the lack of help from staff I was given vouchers to use at the pool bar and q1 buffet breakfast which was much appreciated and a lovely gesture. Overall, I think what happened was a once off occurrence and I would stay at the q1 again. The beds are super comfortable, rooms are very clean. I Will say the pool staff I believe his name was Solomon was a bit of a party pooper!! Let everyone have fun, who cares if people are screaming at the pool
Great place
The Q1 accommodation was lovely. The air conditioner was a little frustrating and there were no instructions on how to operate the sound bar and TV. Other than that, the apartment was clean, tidy, and presented very well. Loved that the trams were nearby to go to restaurants and Pacific Fair shops.
Was awesome tinashe at reception was the best
We always come here to stay whenever we are in gold coast. Best place to relax explore the area.
Q1 room issues
The TV & room intercom had issues so reported them to reception so the stay of the next occupants is better
Good location
It’s marketed as a family award winning resort but apart from the pool having a shallow area, I’m not sure why? There’s not a play area, there’s not even umbrellas by the pool to have shade. The floor outside the lift was not cleaned for a couple of days, and the cleaning in our room wasn’t at a great standard. The room was spacious and most staff friendly. Didn’t think the desk offering trips had much incentive to buy from them. For example they were selling seaworld tickets for the same as going direct, and we found another place online selling them for cheaper. Good little shop outside and tram super close!
The apartment is extremely large with inside / outside space. Plenty of room to spread out, 2 large TV’s and full range of kitchen appliances. All the neighbouring attractions are mostly at walking distances from Q1. Restaurants, shopping, clubs, pubs, convenience stores, liquor stores are all nearby.
Clean and open space in rooms. Staff friendly
This 'resort' is resort in appearance only. It's got the obligatory fantastic foyer, front desk fabulous, stunning pools, garden, easy parking, views etc. The rest isn't great by any stretch. 'Resort' suggests - to me - that the property's owned by a company ; this 'resort' has a body corporate. End result being different apartments are individually owned. Our five night stay pretty much ruined by total lack of curtains, sun beaming through fabric akin to lace. Sleep close on impossible, room never completely dark ; glare was such tv couldn't be seen accept at night.Ended up purchasing windscreen sun reflectors, 3 at $11 each suction cupped to an internal glass door in bedroom ( curse the designer for this monstrosity). Curtains reduce heat in rooms, totally cost effective ! No ceiling fans. AC too noisy, shower pressure terrible, precious few power points etc. Kitchen great, fridge super chilly. Sofas cheap and uncomfortable, fabric harsh. Management has many rules here, as well they should. But the tattood loser thugs who seem to be in every elevator we used during the five days obey no rules, management nowhere to be found. Sat' at 18:00 we saw these muscled jerks departing the elevators holding open cans of alcohol, boxes of beer on shoulders. Right in front of families, kids, tourists etc. This place is a sham, deserves zero custom. Stayed in a genuine resort in Bodrum, Turkey, just a few months ago. Saw none of the aforementioned there. Only on the Gold Coast...
Samantha at the front desk , was amazing when we checked in , great asset to the team 💯
Everything was awesome
Was told at reception that we were not getting room cleaning only to find out we were.
Great room, great view, great location
Fabulous experience
Was great. Disappointed as I didnt get the higher floor despite of paying same price as others.
Good amenities and close proximity to all the action of Surfers Paradise. Building starting to show its age now, rooms need an update.
We loved our stay at the Q1. We had fabtastic ocean views from our appartment, the appartment itself was very spacious and modern. The location of Q1 is great- within walking distance to Cavill Avenue, cafes and restaurants and the beach of course.
I love the Q1 but they didn’t give me the Gold VIP rewards so I had to go and ask reception who reluctantly gave me a bottle of sparkling wine and a row of chocolates and $20 off Spa treatments. The room was pricey but was actually one of the worst ones we’ve ever had in the Q1 so we paid for an upgrade which double the cost of our 5 night stay. I’ve never been offered the room upgrade in any of the Gold VIP access rooms I’ve booked except in Bali. Would love it if hotels in Australia honoured the upgrade as accommodation is expensive. I try and book Gold VIP access rooms where I can but the benefits aren’t that great, so shop around because sometimes it’s not that great of a deal.
Close walk to everything. Pool is amazing......Longboards restaurant is handy and provides good burgers but bit pricey but most food options around this area are.....Rooms were great.........air conditiong works well and our 1 bedroom was perfct size for 2 adults and 2 children....would definatly stay here again..also parking is free
We had a fabulous week and I am so pleased we chose Q1, the apartment was clean and modern. The well appointed appliances, the beautiful pool area and friendly staff made all the difference I would have no hesitation in choosing Q1 for our next visit.
I checked out over a week’s time and yet to have the bond monies returned to my bank account. Nor have I received notice of unlikely retainment.
Great location, looks good from outside, but inside is old, out dated compare to the price you paid.
Pools and other facilities in the hotel are good. There is transportation right outside the hotel. Walking distance to many places of interest.
Great location
Great hotel. Convenient location, great pools, and spacious rooms. Beds need upgrading as they are hard and not comfortable so did not get one good night sleep unfortunately.
Helpful staff, clean and quiet rooms, fabulous place to stay
Great location, close enough to shops and beach and but far from the crowds. Great pool and amenities. The rooms were a little outdated and needed some repairs
This is supposed to be a 5-star resort and Expedia VIP Access hotel, which is the main reason I chose this hotel. But I was extremely disappointed. First of all rooms at this place are forced to keep AC at 22C (72F) or higher which is unheard of. We were super hot in the room yet could not make it colder. To make matters worse, the AC turns off automatically after several hours. We woke up hot and sweaty in the middle of the night and had to turn the AC back on. No hotel I’ve ever stayed at had these ridiculous AC issues. If I had known about this beforehand, I would’ve never stayed there. Furthermore, the blinds don’t cover the windows, so it was impossible to continue sleeping once the sun came up as the room was bright. Also, my messages to the hotel via Expedia were never reported to. And the phone in the room couldn’t dial the front desk. So basically we had zero communication with the front desk. Moreover, this hotel is an Expedia VIP Access hotel, but the staff knew nothing about that nor seemed to care. No upgrade, early check in, nor late check out. Their 10am mandatory check out is terrible. Expedia needs to do a better job in designating VIP Access hotels and making sure those hotels follow through on the benefits advertised.
Stayed at the Q1 many times now, room are spacious, clean and the views are amazing. Pools are great and open till 9pm so the kids loved coming back for night swims if they were well behaved at dinner time. Definitely be back next time we are on the gold coast.
The property view was amazing
Good location. Easy walk to beach and main streets
Room could be cleaner
Pros: -Had a beautiful beach view and a lovely alfresco to sit in to have your morning coffee. -Close to the beach and anything you wanted - Kitchen and place was clean - Everyone very friendly and welcoming Cons: -Unfortuantely the mattress on the right was ruined and uncomfortable -The shower had rust and is leaking on the side (had to place towels on the ground to keep it dry) -The TV was shocking as it kept disconnecting, turning on and off and losing signal to Foxtel frequently, we couldn't even use the "casting" option as it wouldn't work. Had IT come in and reboot the TV several times along with the router but they advised they had no control over Foxtel's reception. - The hotel spa was very small compared to the size of pools and place, very disappointing as there were always kids splashing around in it and you couldn't really relax in it, let alone fit comfortably - The designated parking spots was ok but very tight, a lot of the people had family sized SUVs or FWDs and couldn't fit properly so they would take almost 2 spots and you would have to find another but only the special marked spots -Air-conditioning had to be rebooted as it was very weak. We thought this was normal until a maintenance man looking at the TV issue advised us Overall had an ok time, wouldn't want to stay here again though.
Spacious, peaceful and clean, good amenities
Everything about our stay was amazing. The apartment was wonderful and had everything we needed. The front desk staff were always so helpful and friendly. The resort pool was lovely. We had the buffet breakfast one morning in the sky point which was fabulous with delicious food and great views. It was in a great location, just walking distance to the beach and to the Surfers Paradise Cavil Avenue. We would definitely return as this accommodation was wonderful.
Unfortunately our first night was a night to forget the room looked like it had gone 101 rounds with lily phillips , the next morning we were moved after discussions the day before , amazing views but unfortunately a bit ratty and 2 single bed mattress pushed together trying to disguise themselves as a king bed (very uncomfortable) unfortunately the q1 has become outdated but still continue to charge the rates of a 5 star hotel . Better options can be found at a lot less hit to the back pocket , we will be exploring our options next time we are up in surfers
Stunning property. Stayed in a family apartment and was amazed at the room and views. Pool area is gorgeous. Kids loved it. Will definitely return
Great apartments, very spacious and has everything you need. Close to the beach and surfer’s paradise
Would stay here again.
Loved the pool area and the opening hours
Loved the pool and location Great car parking was free
Hotel is located in a very convenient area, short walk to beach and main shopping mall. Also close to light rail. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Only con was that even though the main bedroom had block out blinds the light was still very bright in the morning as light came in around the sides and top of blinds. The pool area was nice but offered no umbrellas to shade the sun lounges. You did need to be in the pool area before 9 am or you would miss out on getting a sun lounge, table or lounges under the umbrellas. Overall is was good for our needs.
Very friendly & helpful staff.
Kitchen utensils a bit limited but quickly resolved by staff once raised. Otherwise excellent.
Great stay, just wish we were able to receive room upgrade. Hopefully next time!
The hotel is lovely and well-suited for families traveling together, with amenities and services that cater to their needs. However, it might not be the best fit for couples looking for a more romantic or relaxing getaway. One suggestion would be to provide a towel service, as it felt inconvenient to have to wash them ourselves during a holiday. Overall, a good experience but with room for improvement in this regard.
Just ok
Property and room are good but could have been a lot better. This is our first trip to Australia from US , we booked room with kids aged 1 and 4 years old, which we communicated earlier and when we went to check-in they charged us extra for crib/baby cot and high chair. They offer “ express “ house keeping , they take out trash, make bed and restock coffee and towels but they don’t clean the room or restock toiletries . With kids I had to clean up sand and food etc that was on the floor every night. My daughter has been collecting room keys to remember the cities we travelled and places we stayed. All of the hotels we stayed (4 and 5 stars) in US and AUS have been more than happy to let us keep the room keys but Q1 reception staff mentioned that we would be charged to keep the room key card. And the staff didn’t bother to be kind about that. It’s not about the small extra charges for me but it’s the service I thought was lacking especially for the premium price we paid for the stay. I wouldn’t stay here or any of their locations again.
The staff were prompt with all my queries and requests.
Excellent location with minutes walk to everything shopping, food, beach, tram.
It's a nice property. Kids friendly, walking distance to all things at Surfers Paradise.
A beautiful space to stay
Was great. Easy. Large rooms. Clean.
Outstanding stay, I couldn't fault it. Will stay there again
Great
We’ve stayed at the Q1 several times and this room was an ocean view 2 bedroom. Fantastic apartment but with no privacy or black out blinds in the huge bathroom glass panel or in the lounge room which wasn’t ok as we couldn’t get the room cool enough with the sun blasting through and at night the whole apartment was lit up including the main bedroom with its frosted glass doors. A couple of block out blinds would make a huge difference to a great apartment for privacy and comfort.
Nice and handy for beach walk and skypoint breakfast must do
Great stay 7 nights. No party policy (Schoolies) a big reason i stayed hete.
Property was nice ,clean and easy access to everywhere.
Close to public transport. Apartment was clean, very nice amenities. Love having a nice pool and spa treatments close by.
V8's on the Gold Coast. This property was perfect for our stay.
Wonderful place to stay for business or getaway. Check in was easy and quick. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment #403, wonderful view of the beach, room has everything you need from toiletries, dish and clothing cleaning needs in room. Loved the layout of the apartment. Bed was comfortable, jet spa was clean and fully functioning. This place is great for single, couples or families. Close to everything you could possibly need with a wide range shops and entertainment. Highly recommend and we will return :)
Great Location
Great location and Apartment was comfortable with amazing veiws.
Great view, rooms were clean, in a great position.
Overall good stay, clean well- equipped room, well kept common areas.
Good area and great all around
Great place to stay, awesome pools, great location
Excellent property
Unreal. Best ever -
It was well located, close to local beach, transport and shops.
We stayed for 6 nights recently in a one bedroom apartment with our two daughters aged 10 & 12. The one bedroom had a separate small room with sliding doors that acted as a 2nd room for our daughters. Overall the location was great, a minutes walk to the tram and only 5 mins to surfers however at night, I felt a little uneasy with the numbers of homeless sleeping rough nearby. The beachside market was awesome. It’s close to a few supermarkets hut there are shops at the base of the q1 with everything you need. Really enjoyed Longboards. The swimming pool was fab but does get quite busy and not everyone keeps a close eye on their kids. Overall we would go back but if you’re after a quieter break, maybe look further down toward Broadbeach.
Beautiful unit will definitely return
Q1 is always my go to when visiting the GC. Rooms are great layout with kitchen and laundry. Perfect area with shops, restaurants near by, tram stop right outside easy to get the airport and themeparks. Short walk to and from the beach. Pools and arcade are lovely for adults and kids, longboards restaurant onsite does room service as easy accessible from hotel. Activities staff are really great at matching what you want to do with your budget. Will be coming back
Room service and ccleaning not very good always something missing change bed linen 2 times in 11 nights
It was perfect. Ocean view and a view of the hinterlands. Breakfast on the 77th floor was yummy.
Overall the apartment and pool area were fantastic. Suggest updating the couches - they were very uncomfortable.
Ensure you do not give in when this property decides to change you from the room you paid for to a room that hasnt even got pictures on walls, no tiles in bathrooms, filthy walls, remote that doesnt work, views that are not what you pay the highest price for (ocean to partial), fridge handle that just about off, towels that dont cover you and much more that i am ashamed to list.. if you pay for a Sub-Penthouse, you expect a decent room, not sub-standard, make do cause property stuffed up! This is 5th stay and will be the last. Very disappointed.
Loved our stay views were amazing

Excellent pool areas and facilities. Great location. Rooms incredibly big with full amenities. Staff were helpful with transfers to the airport despite an early. Would definitely return.
