The structure was nice but it was not clean.
Superbe!!! We really enjoyed our stay here, it’s a magical place! Our room was fantastic, we loved it! Spacious, luminous, well decorated. Bed ultra comfortable. Very very clean (thank you to the guy who was taking care of the rooms, he was very nice and professional). Our private hot tube with a stunning sea view was incredible, we spent a lot of time relaxing in it enjoying the sunset. Special mention to the kittens we found around: they are really adorable, we love animals and we felt good vibes having these sweeties close to us… cats are part of the soul of this wonderful island! We will certainly come back to this beautiful little hotel, the best choice in Santorini!
We really enjoyed our stay at Phaos. It was hard to tell from the pictures & but each room includes some sort of private outdoor hot tub or pool with incredible views. The interior was very modern. Situated in a cute village with some lovely restaurant options. Only small things to be aware of is that the shower is open and the water spills out A LOT (we stayed in cave room). Also- like many of the hotels in pathos, the hotel is accessible by walking only you have to park and walk through these labyrinth paths. It can be a bit challenging to find the first time and beware if you have heavy bags. Overall would recommend especially for a romantic stay but pack light! :)
The property itself is unique, the cave type room with the hot tub was nice and very different. The bathroom did carry a strong unpleasant smell and the room did have some condensation problems. Don’t expect to be made a fuss of by management, they really don’t care too much. They didn’t show up until we were leaving after 2 night stay. Overall , a mixed feeling about this place, some positives and some negatives
My stay here was amazing, loved every bit of it , the hot tub in the bedroom, private pool, privacy, peaceful, village was walking distance, easy to find. The cats were so cute , they kept me company. The views were breathtaking, I will most definitely return. Thank you so much!
Our Junior Suite was very small and had no space for suitcases or to unpack. It would have been fine for 1-2 nights but we stayed 7 days and had no space. The bathroom was also very small. Staff was excellent and it was very clean. Surroundings behind the hotel we very dirty.
The staff where very helpful
The room was nice, clean and quiet. The only surprise to the trip here was the inconvenience on locating your suite and you have to carry your luggage up mountain stairs. Plus, the lack of communication from anyone on what room you staying in. Once you settled in, you will enjoy the beauty of the place and that makes it all better. But, be prepared to walk up and down stairs for everything.
Santorini can be overrun with people exploring the island. Phaos hotel is just far enough away from the main cities that you don’t have to deal with the craziness of Sanotorini but close enough to enjoy the beauty of the island and close enough to visit all the areas you need. With the hotel being on the side of the tallest mountain in Pyrgos you will be struck by the beauty of the land surrounding you. It’s a bit of a hike to the hotel but I’d say it’s worth it. Do recommend renting an ATV for traveling around the island.
Good view and excellent location away from center (Fira). Surely will recommend other people.
Beautiful room and patio, with hot tub and view of the island. The employee kept everything very clean and helped me take my bags up at check in.
This hotel is perfect. No faults at all. We only stayed here a night but wish we had booked it for our entire stay in Santorini. The best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Quiet, staff lovely. Rooms are incredible and the hot tub has the best view you can ask for. Will definitely be booking again in the future. Perfect hotel in every way. Great communication leading up to check on too.
Not your box standard, lots of character and charm, beautiful surroundings and private/quite , with all the mod cons.
My husband and I absolutely LOVED our visit here at Pyrgos 1870. The rooms were so nice, and the balcony had a wonderful view of the island. Ms. Christina, the property manager, responded very quick to any questions we had and offered wonderful activity and restaurant recommendations. Pyrgos is a wonderful town, and the local people were so kind, and the suites were in walking distance to several restaurants and souvenir shops. We hope to visit Santorini again some day, and we would most definitely love to stay here again!
Very romantic and private for coupls.
The Villa was really nice and there were touches of paying attention to detail. Only regret is that I would not have not rented it if I knew the long climb.
Lovely stay in Pyrgos Kallistis
Very nice view, modern rooms with a traditional feel, location was relatively isolated, away from the big crowds, a lot of walking and climbing stairs is required due to the way Pyrgos is laid out.
Fabulous place to stay- couldn’t fault it. Lovely pool with views. The host Sophia went well and above anything we expected- to help organise things for us- taxis, sailing trip, booked restaurants for us.
What an incredible experience we had at this place. It was the perfect location in Santorini. If you want to experience a true Greek village stay in Pyrgos. It’s quaint with excellent restaurants and beautiful views everywhere you turn. The hostess Sophia and her staff are like a dream! Very helpful with suggestions for food and fun and she’s genuinely kind human being. My family vacationed here this June, and we all, especially my kids (ages 7 and 9), fell in love with Sophia and this beautiful property. We will definitely be back!!
Stay was very relaxing and was able to park with rental car around a 5 minute walk away from the property. Only problem would be hot tub wasn’t so hot and so didn’t really enjoy it as much
