Wish to have more sitting area in the lobby

First visit to Shamghai

First time to Shanghai, hotel is located near a station which makes moving around the city a littler easier. Concierge service is good especially with a team of friendly and enthusiastic staff members. However, it was difficult to find food in or near the hotel areas, which is rather inconvenient for overseas travellers.

Good breakfast

The facilities are a little aged but the service team was doing a great job! There was nothing unexpected.

The stay is just so-so, for a 5-star hotel, I would certainly expect better "breakfast". The food is not very fresh; the deep-fried dough sticks 油条 is so hard like rocks, and there is only one choice of cheese. Should really improve

This was my third time but first time after Covid. Room was spacious and quiet, reasonably conditions considering the age. Kettle was very clean which was a surprise. Bed was firm but not too firm. Towels were without detergent smell. In general I am happy with my this 7 nights stay. Where to improve: have a table sign during breakfast so guests and staff know if table is occupied. Gym equipment to be repaired if damaged.

Poor air-conditioner, very hot in the room even I turn it to high fan speed and 15C, looks like the temperature in the public area much cooler than in the room

Air conditioning system in room wasn’t properly cooling down the room. But overall great stay. Close to public transportation and amenities.

Good hotel but had air conditioning issues

Overall good hotel in a great location. However I had AC issues. The staff was great and tried to make it better and also gave me a portable fan but the hotel seems to have AC issues in some other rooms too..

Good location (near the subway). Many vegetarian restaurants nearby.

Furniture is old. Menu in room service is very limited. Too many security cameras makes you feel that you are being watched all the time.Location is very nice. Cake of the day requires lot of improvement.

Front desk, concierge and staff are friendly and helpful. They booked my taxi to airport on time and provide me with the best service they could. I will definitely stay here again and recommend people to stay here.

It's a little far from the bund and CBD, but close to subway station and a bunch of affordable and good restaurants!

One thing that I wish the management could improve: There were hair from presumably the previous occupant on the walls of the shower cubicle.

Great location and rooms But towels are old and not comfortable

Swimming pool is very good, the breakfast buffet is also nice, many choices and i live the fresh noodles and yogurt. Some traditional steamed ban and dumplings.

The convenience of the area and easiness Transportation

Room is spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly. The lights in room are not controlling probably. The spa & massage area is too dark, not comfortable.

The room is spacious, clean and nice interior design. Hotel staffs are helpful and very responsive. The only setback of this hotel is that the 50th floor sky bar is not available and unfortunately the gym is under renovation.

Was a lovely 1 night stay, a pity that they clean the ball pit during the morning when the children could be playing in it...

fabulous Spa facility

this was our third time stay with Skyway Pullman Shanghai. Everything i stay there, i feel like better than at home. i enjoyed the convenient location of this hotel, and the swimming pool mostly,i go to the pool at least once a day , something twice a day. the pool is huge, with only a few people, excellent for lap swimming . I also enjoy the steam and sauna room there.

Good for business!

Service is excellent. But the hardware is needed to enhance. Close to subway station, just around 3 minute on foot.

The location is indeed very good. 3mins walk to the metro and its the tallest building around so it was easy to spot. The only not so nice part is at night, the room is considered dark (have to switch on all the standing lamps one by one if you want more light but its also very troublesome to switch off one by one). They have international sockets so very thoughtful and the ladies in the executive lounge were really nice and good!

The hotel has the ambiente of an old style 5 stars hotel. It´s well equipped with everything you would need. Check-in and staff has to deal with the masses of guests. They don´t have time to take care of you in Person.

The location and swimming pool are amazing. Many restaurants around and the breakfast buffet was also very lovely.

Beautifully spacious hotel. The staff were terrific. The Concierge was particularly helpful. Glorie and Miette in the Executive lounge were really standout excellent staff. Would very happily stay at the Pullman Shanghai Skway again.

Convenient location but needs to improve services

Generally, it’s not bad. Need to improve service area and staff’s attitude. Very convenient location near the metro & Tianzifan. I arrived at the hotel around 1 pm and was asked for coming back an hour later. However, the room was not ready when I returned at 2:50 pm. I had to change into my wrinkled dress (cannot iron it) in the spa for a business meeting. When I returned to the hotel after dinner, I had twin beds room instead of a King single bed which I booked a month ago. I was frustrated because I was already tired enough after a long flight. They upgraded the room but if could check-in earlier, I would be more appreciated than the upgraded room. In addition, the concierge staff was not friendly & polite, either. However, the location was very convenient and there are many nice restaurants near the hotel.

The nonpareil place to stay in Shanghai

We are frequent visitors to Shanghai and the Pullman Shanghai Skyway is our go-to hotel. Superb location, peerless management and staff, and the commitment to continuous improvement is evident every time we visit. This is a first-class business hotel that makes you feel welcome and in the company of good friends. From the chambermaid to the doorman, from the front-desk team to the hosts and hostesses in the 52nd floor lounge, from the executive chef to the director of operations, you really get the impression that everyone is pulling together to make your stay a successful one.

Great location, very comfortable and calm, gym+

Very comfortable room, all basic features available, big and spacious gym, the pool and the sauna areas are also very clean and wide. Not so much choice for the breakfast and closes pretty early on the weekend (10:30am but staff stops refilling half an hour before..)

The hotel is a bit aged but the service is consistently good. Though the staff have limited English I will not hold that against them. The rooms are always cleaned and kept tidy

Short stay in Pullman Hotel

My short two days stay was fabulous, the location although slightly off the main shopping belt for tourist was not bad. Overall I enjoyed the stay. The breakfast was excellent very exceptional for a buffet breakfast.

Will definitely return to the Pullman

Loved this hotel. Breakfast was out of this world. Really lovely executive lounge with a terrific view of the Shanghai skyline. Because my room was not ready they upgraded me to a suite, which was beautiful. Lobby even had a money-changing machine (not just an ATM) at which we were able to exchange money from several different countries for local currency. The only complaint I had was that the shower leaked water across the bathroom floor, which might upset some patrons but didn't really phase me at all. In the categories most important to me, it was terrific. Very close to businesses, the metro, and shopping (like the Tian Zi Fang Market) if that's important to guests. This was my first time staying at this particular location, but I will certainly return on my next business trip to China.

Nice hotel not far from the city center

Well it is sort of in the city center, by the famous tianzifang old city. Nice and clean hotel with big rooms, very comfy. Staffs are very helpful. Nice breakfast. No complain at all!

Business vacation

Great location

Great hotel! Delicious breakfast, spacious rooms and attentive staff. Only complaint is that the hotel bar and bar on the 51sr floor closed pretty early- around 12 am and drink quality was not very good. Cocktails taste diluted with water and wine tastes a few days old. But from what we experienced, this seems to be the standard in Shanghai.

i really enjoyed my business trip to shanghai. we stayed several different luxury hotel in shanghai. Pullman shangahi skyway was great hotel. we enjoyed our stay there. staffs were awesome. We got helped to arranged taxi and store our luggage. Recommended 10/10

Across the street from Subway line 9, and close to shopping + dining.

Pullman skyway shanghai is quite good in general- close to subway even though not that close to some landmarks, That didn't bother us as long as if you are fine to take subway or taxi.. Have many restaurants particularly inside the nearby mall, and there are few just around the corner (pretty decent ones) running 24 hours. A convenient grocery shop across the street. Everything is right at your fingertips. There is an ATM at the lobby too. However you need to time your time wisely if you like to hail taxi during traffic hours.

Great location

I had a noise complaint during one of the evenings and it took 2 phone calls but the problem was eventually resolved. I did not receive an apology or compensation from the hotel though which I thought should have happened. But overall it was a nice stay and I would recommend the hotel for its location and comfort.

Terrible staff, arrogant and rude

I booked two rooms for my parents and my grandpa to stay for one night at Pullman Skyway (on Da Pu Road). 1) One room has no toothbrush, only toothpaste. The package was opened, so it was used. 2) No towels in the other room! My dad called them and they eventually sent the toiletries and the towels. 3) They put biscuits with tea/coffee, with no marking at all for price. My parents ate biscuits thinking they are free. They they checked out, the hotel staff didn't tell them there was a charge. Later that day, my dad realized his credit card was charged and called them and found out it was the biscuits We are ok to pay for it, thats no prob. My dad told them, they should have at least have clear price and no mix it with free coffee/tea, their lobby manager was so rude! He hung up the pone! A five star hotel lobby manager hung up the phone rudely on their customers!!!!! That's never heard of. My dad called again, another staff said he would note down everything and call back, NO CALL BACK at all! They are so rude to their customers and do not even care about their customer's feelings! Very DISAPPOINTED with this hotel. Will never stay there!

Average hotel quite conveniently located

Seems like Pullman took the hotel over from a Chinese owned hotel. Fairly old fashion design and with a night ub at its 46F, the feeling is a bit apart to a luxury setting. I booked with two person check in but system only shown one pax and hence only one breakfast is offered. Staff never check and come back to me on this issue. Went to another Pullman Hotel in veryate evening which cause quite some confusion to myself too.

Lovely hotel, quiet and peaceful, good location

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, my room was quiet and comfortable. I thought the price was very reasonable. I had to pay extra for breakfast, but there was a good choice and coffee on hand that arrived quickly! The bar staff were good too - they brought little snacks over with my G&T, which was much appreciated. The metro is about 2 minutes walk as well, so it is very easy to get around the city. I was attending a trade fair at a nearby exhibition centre, and that was just 4 stops on the metro. The local area felt safe. Getting a taxi back here from People's Square late at night was very easy too. Little touches like an umbrella in the room for guests to use was helpful as well - didn't think about it raining!

The aircon did not work well and we often came back to a hot room, even when we did not turn off the aircon. I had to request for a change of room to one which was better. The toilet also could not stop running.

A short enjoyable stay in Shanghai

Although the location of the hotel is in Shanghai, it is not the city center, however, getting around is fairly easy, the metro is just 5 mins walk away. The breakfast buffet is good, a wide spread of the usual stuff. The staff is courteous and friendly, will recommend to friends to stay in this hotel.

Good choice hotel

The hotel is closed to the metro station which makes easy traveling. There are abundant of restuarants, cafes and shops for exploration. I would have been near perfect if the room wifi signal is stronger.

MONEY DISAPPEARED FORM THE SAFE BOX

Somebody stole $1000 from the safe box, also same thing happened to my friend who was in the same floor, 11th. We recognized this after we left the hotel going to Guangzhou. I called the duty manager informed him of what happened. He told me that this cannot be happened because the only person who can open the safe box is the duty manager!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was almost careless about this!!!!.

Overall a good experience. In particular, Mary in F&B was exceptional during breakfast. Pleasant, smiling, helpful. Other staff could gain some insights on her professionalism.

Good hotel - useful for the SWEEC

Great location for this hotel - close to Metro and for the SEEEC exhibition centre. Plenty of good bars and restaurants close by. Hotel itself is of very good standard- staff always willing to help - greeting with a smile! 😊 Probably stayed here around a dozen times now - would be nice if somebody on the front desk recognised and just say "Welcome back!" It goes a long way in my book! M

Quiet hotel with big rooms

Very clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Easy to get a cab with the help of the doorman. The front desk friendly and the concierge very helpful!

We booked this hotel is for our son to swimming every day during our stay because there won't be any activity that can consume his energy in this big city. But unfortunately the pool was closed for 30 days. Our son didn't even get any chance to swimming during our stay. Very disappointed.

I reserved this hotel for my dad and mom when they have their trip in Shanghai. This hotel is in good condition and its location is perfect. It locates in a place where a lot of old houses and building locate. My mom really love them. A good stay.

Great experience

Great location, friendly staff. The only downside we can think of is the swimming pool was a bit dated. Honesty treat yourself and stay here. We are in the middle of a two week trip to China and this hotel was just so relaxing. It's very close to the subway station and the area has endless places to eat and relax too!
