Lovely indoor swimming pool for the kids!
Close to the city
Wonderful, always a great stay.
A wonderful hotel to stay at, highly recommended.
Clean and spaciousness rooms. Pool and gym nice exttras. Nice breakfast selection. Lovely foyer area. Not sure why a guest has to pay for parking.
lack of hot water pressure
Very comfortable beds.
It was amazing place to stay
my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, my check-in was delayed by two hours because the room was still being cleaned. Despite the inconvenience, there were no complimentary drinks or food offered while we waited. However when requested check out time was extended by 90 minutes. The next day's cleaning service was disappointing, as the old towels were simply rolled back and not replaced with fresh ones. I asked for replacement towels by calling housekeeping but no one turned up so end up picking up the towels from pool area by myself. Additionally, the room had an old TV with no smart features, no free movies, and no access to streaming services like Netflix or Prime. To top it all off, $16 charge to watch a single movie. Moreover there is no view from the rooms at the back so ended up keeping the block outs curtains closed. So it was an average experience.
Had a lovely room overlooking lake. Staff were excellent in accommodating our vehicle which had extra height. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.
We enjoyed what we could but doors and windows didn’t seem very sound proof.
Sad we had to wait so long to check in. All options asked where not accepted such as early arrival early check in park view.
Even we arrived at 4 pm. The hotel didn’t have the rooms ready. Had to wait long…. Reception wont pick up the phone even after 100 rings. Staff is either untrained or doesn’t want to support. Overall bad experience with the services. Property is otherwise fine if you don’t have to interact with the staff
Priced well
Buffet breky was underwhelming compared to other hotels bit noise comming into room from other guests check inn took long time and no netflix or utube in rooms
Poor management
The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Loved the breakfast buffet option too! will definitely be back again soon.
Was given a different room than I booked. It was $400 a night and basically a dungeon with no windows. No water in the room and ironing board was broken. Poor lighting given no windows
Thank you
Great
Relaxing accommodation. However, the rooms are a little outdated and could use a remodel
NA
Went out of their way to assist us.
I liked the space in the rooms, I didn't like that the spare pump didn't work
After a bad check in and a cheese platter that had 1 slither of cheese. No other cheese. It was an ok stay.
If you are expecting Pullman quality then you need to reset your expectation. When I turn the shower on , the water comes out brown. I couldn’t tell if it was sewerage or rust from the pipes, the guy from front desk made sure to wash his hands after he touched it. But because I had my child in the shower I was offered compensation for a free coffee. Also in this dump of a hotel you can’t change the temperature of the aircon which is set to arctic blast. If you complain about the glacial temperature they will send up to your room a Kmart foot heater that my nanna used in the 70s. They also forgot to put towels in my room - so if you do have a brown shower make sure you check that they remember the towels
Comfy beds, very clean and great amenities.
Great Hotel, I was double charged and it took some weeks to refund. I would return with some hesitation regarding the booking...
Great in room features and hotel facilities.
Location and cleanliness
Convenient location, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
I recently stayed at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, and overall, my experience was positive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I found the parking situation to be a bit challenging. The hotel offers valet parking for $50, and self-parking costs $25, but this fee applies each time you enter and exit the lot since it's not owned by the hotel. This could be inconvenient for those traveling by car. Despite this, the hotel's central location and excellent service made my stay enjoyable. If you don't need parking, this hotel is a great choice.
Nice location
Pool was good, walkable to park and tram
Chaotic
Lovely facilities and relaxing environment
The staff of the Pullman were excellent . Nothing was too much trouble
Property was clean and staff were helpful. Room was in good condition and cleaned daily by service.
Fantastic
Fantastic Stay
Rooms need to be updated and AC fixed
Air conditioning was faulty and the room was extremely uncomfortable and hot. Tried to open the window to let some cold air in but it hardly opened for safety reasons I presume. Room was very old, pillows were abnormal. Far from being 5-star quality. Swimming pool yesterday was packed with unsupervised children running a muck - and they were also causing chaos in the gym. This morning the pool was closed for maintenance, which was inconvenient. Won’t be staying here again.
Sheets were like sandpaper
Room very underwhelming and basic. Not what one would expect of a Pullman branded hotel. Room Mini-bar glassware not checked before our arrival!
Would love to come back
We stayed here to attend a conference. Very easy and convenient. Great breakfast too.
Convenient location but room small and bathroom faces the beds, so if someone gets up in the night the light is right in your face. Also wall between rooms are thin, you can here everything next door.
Clean and comfortable rooms but the facilities are a bit old such as no USB or USB-C ports in the sockets in the room. Wifi facilities were great.
Absolutely awesome staff
Great hotel, great service, the worse coffee!
Great hotel, great service, the worse coffee in the world! why would you have complicated capsule coffee machines that everyone I saw in the queue at breakfast have trouble using every day! Why can't you have proper ground coffee machines and simple buttons? The coffee in the VIP suite was canteen coffee! Like really? So I drank green tea instead! Nice one catering management!!
Gone down hill. Needs attention
Room was clean and modern but the service was pretty poor. Check in was incredibly slow, there was no communication about the parking situation and we ended up being overcharged. The hotel promised me a refund for the overcharged amount but are now ignoring my emails to get this finalized. The check out process was slow and the service at the cafe was also slow. Not sure what was going on, it’s like the staff were waking around half asleep. Nobody seemed bothered. Otherwise the room itself was quiet, clean and the beds were comfy. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. The buffet breakfast (included in our room rate) was excellent. Can’t fault the breakfast at all.
It was very noisy the night we stayed, above room kept us up.
Business trip with baby
Stayed here for business. Had my 1yo son with me. Staff were really friendly. Very slow to get a cot to the rooms (had to ask three times for one in the room over 5 hours and twice for one in our meeting rooms). Children's meals were very generous sizes- this was excellent. Hotel is very aged. Desperately needs some TLC however, perhaps the bathrooms have been done a few years ago? Bedroom walls, carpet, furniture, curtains etc were just so tired, disappointing for a hotel like the Pullman. It's also not really close to anything- except the F1. Room was supposed to have access to the lounge, which was closed for some reason and no alternative offered.
Nice place to stay. Plenty of transport options around. Nice to be able to walk the lake. Could do with some renovations, although had everything you need.
Firstly, to be charged $400 for one night i expected a lot more. The service was below average, the rooms were just like a travel lodge and what really irritated me was after spending all that money they still charge you $15 to hire a movie and there is no option to watch a film or watch TV for free which is ridiculous. Not impressed at all and id highly recommend staying elsewhere. In my eyes this was a complete ripoff
Very slow checkin - room not ready
Lovely place to stay, in close proximity to Melbourne City, but not stuck in the hustle and bustle. Service, however, was variable. We lost the chance to stay for an additional night when the service representative booked the wrong date in error, and then when the error was discovered the hotel was fully booked and no option was given to us to stay for another night, so we had to book at very short notice for another hotel (during the busy Aus Open week).
Great hotel - not quite 5 star though
Very nice and comfortable hotel. I would rate it as a 4 rather than 5 star. Staff were excellent from reception- room cleaning and restaurant. Some of the further and decoration is due for updating but otherwise a good place to stay if visiting Melbourne.
Disappointing experience
Not as luxurious as the price is. Parking was ridiculously expensive at $25 per night for our 3 night stay but you can only leave once a day or valet parking at $40 and you could leave anytime. Swimming pool is disgusting and not nice to swim in, it has gunk on top. Rooms are too hot and despite many of requests as the air con was stuck on 23 degrees no one could fix it as we were told that the air con system is too old and the lowest they’ve ever seen a room is 19 degrees. But when you have a family of four in a family room no one gets any sleep as it’s too hot. Beds were also old and uncomfortable. The first night we opted to eat in the restaurant downstairs and the staff kept muddling up orders or not communicating when they knocked off shift and we had to put our order in again after 30 minutes of waiting and they said the person who we ordered with hadn’t put it through. It’s a real shame as with a few basic tweaks it could be a really nice stay but we were left feeling short changed for the money we had just spent.
Great location
Poor breakfast and plumbing
Plumbing in bathroom was terrible. Wrong sink tap. Leaky bath tap. Soap were not refilled. Same breakfast menue for 7 straight days.
The Pullman is in a lovely area. Very light on staff so always need to wait long times at front desk. Rediculous that I had to pay $45 a night for parking. Bathrooms are dated and old. Rooms need an uplift. Definitely no where near 5 star.
Dirty carpets small rooms Sudden hot water in shower V small basin
This is not your typical Pullman hotel as it is very dated. It is more like a 4 star hotel. We were also given the wrong room on arrival and had to change rooms to a room with NO view, which was a hassle as we had to wait for luggage to be moved and were not even given a better room for the inconvenience! No smart tv either. Parking was very expensive too!
It was nice and clean.
Standard hotel, nothing fancy nor special
I asked for a room with a view, and that’s exactly what I got. The staff were always pleasant. My only grouse was that I tried on several occasions to raise housekeeping and room service. I gave up the idea in the end. I can only assume that because of the large number of attendees at our conference, they were stretched to the limit.
Had COVID so was stuck in room for conference. Room was big enough to not go insane.
Great area and staff are super friendly and helpful
Hotel itself was great and an excellent venue for a conference The only downside was not being close to any other restaurants or cafes
Excellent stay. Very comfortable, with top notch service.
Very nice hotel with nice facilities
Clean
Dirty socks of previous person staying in room under chair/couch, crumbs/dirt on floor, dust all over the cups/cutlery in room. Dust in centre display outside of room, check in process was not smooth asked where to park told drive out there turn left and you’ll see it ok. Charged more then the Wotif price, made a complaint to staff was offered buffet breakfast for 1 day, won’t be using Wotif again as it’s the second accomodation with poor cleaning and poor customer service
Large very comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and service
Bad business trip
Bed was 2 beds pushed together and kept falling apart in the night...asked several times to remedy but no response. 3rd day in there was no bed making at all. Failoed to clean toilets and showers at all
This is second stay here ! Comfortable rooms
The Pullman is a great place to stay for the whole family. Kids love the pool and the gym is fantastic. Rooms are really lovely and the beds in particular are super comfortable. The buffet breakfast is a hit and has lots of options for everyone.
A lovely hotel, nice staff. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location with trams close
When we checked in (just after midnight) the room have no water. I called reception the lady asked come downtown to reception to get water so we go down to her and she said next time ill charge for the water. Except her the staffs was helpful. The location is great, to get the trams really convenient. The buffet breakfast is really poor. We stayed 5 night, everyday was same and really low level
Customer service was not good and room service wasn’t available after 9 so the girls got very hungry and had to Uber food Also what they did order was horrible They wouldn’t recommend the Pullman it to anyone I was disappointed for them because the Pullman is meant to be good value
We were attended to be Benjamin during check-in with excellent service and speed. Location is great - opposite the Albert Park and within mins drive to shopping and attractions. Room is relatively good sized. We took the family room for a family of 4 with 2 young kids. Ample space for luggages. Pillows were too flat and uncomfortable / mattress was great though. We found the trashbin unlined and left on the table when we returned to the room on the 2nd day, it’s unhygenic as the coffee machine / cups are also placed on the same table. Housekeeping line is perpetually unanswered.
Well Positioned
Always a pleasure to stay here with good facilities overall
Great hotel to stay at with a young family
No
The location and gym and pool were terrific. The staff was accommodating. The room was spacious. The bathroom was old fashioned: badly designed bath and shelving. The cleanliness was good, but the staff didn't replenish coffee and tea and didn't take care of replacing toilet paper and tissues. I had to ask
The room service meals were excellent. Most staff were very friendly and helpful.
Easy location to drive to and from with great access to public transport within a reasonable walking distance. Staff are always knowledgeable and happy to assist with any enquiry. More english breakfast tea in room onky 1 sachet on checkin. Instructions for coffee machine both in room and in canteen facility.
Charging credit cards in advance is poor form
Hotel was ok - more 4 star than 5 star. But the practice of taking $200 off your credit card to cover 'incidentals' and told the money will come back in 7-10 days is poor form. Most hotels put a $1 charge on the card, or don't process the amount unless this an issue at checkout. Will be staying elsewhere next time
Service was excellent
Average breakfast. Limited offering. Average service. Unsafe area around the hotel
Alternate days room cleaning which should be stated on app booking. No one answer service call from room. Damaged USB charging point not fixed after notified. Too crowned at check in/out counters due to regular conferences, always long queues.
Great location, in walking distance to Albert Park. Property and rooms are outdated, definitely needs a refurbish. There were no shampoos/conditioners or body wash in the rooms.
It was ok for a night stay clean and smelled ok check in a bit slow otherwise ok
Fabulous location. So close to tram lines and Albert Park lake. Very clean. Amazing view and facilities. Super friendly staff that went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend.
Service
Check- in was smooth and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was well presented but after a little while we realised air con didnt work and room heated up and was very uncomfortable. Contacted reception and staff member was unfriendly and accused us of interferring with air con functioning by opening window to get some air while awaiting assistance- took him some time to come! His answer to our problem was....a fan!!!! We demanded something else, as this was ridiculous!! We were given another room, but he was very unfriendly doing it. Would probably not stay here again, as there was no real apology given to us for our discomfort and disrepect!!
There was a large conference on at the same time. There was not enough staff to deal with check in for “non conference “ guests. An extra dedicated line was needed…….
Our room had a leak from a light fitting that leaked the whole night, and we got nothing to make up for the terrible night we had
Great location. The hotel team were professional and happy to help. The room was clea ln and comfortable. Room service only went till 9.30pm but we were able to uber eats.
