Best location in Paris
Great location, nice staff, clean and comfortable, specially to “Mercan” standards. Amazing hot waterfall shower. Only tiny grip was the bed a bit soft and getting off of it to start the day was a chor. Definitely will look it up next time we’re in Paris. The location is the best in Paris, not too touristy with amazing shops and cafes. It’s basically the same street of Champs Élysées to the east of Paris. Took us 1.5hr walk from arc or few minutes from the metro stop.
Friendly and helpful man at the desk. Lovely clean room and bathroom
Ac not great in the room . Thermostat block at 19 degrees Celsius .
-
This was located near the RER as well as many metro lines. There are so many great places to eat or have a drink as well. STaff is super friendly and helpful. I plan to stay there again!
Good stay for Paris, unfortunately the lift had broken down during our stay but these things happen. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and had turn downs everyday! Thank you for the stay
Extrem friendly staff and the Hotel was fabulous 👌
No complaints ;)
No complaints, other than the size of the rooms, but hey, it's Paris. Beds were comfortable and reception was attentive. Breakfast was much better than expected! Left each morning very satisfied! Also, loved the location near Gare de Lyon.
Nice hotel for families, very clean with properly functioning ac. Continental breakfast is superb. Staff is very nice and friendly.
This is a smaller Hotel but has a lot of Character. Rooms still felt modern and Comfortable. Location is close to Paris Gare De Lyon Station and some great Restaurants that were within walking distance. There is also a Laundromat around the corner. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. No real complaints other than poor wi-fi signal everywhere I tried with the exception of the lobby
Great location but under heavy renovations
Pros: Property a short distance from the Gare De Leon station and the A line metro station. The Airport Direct bus drops off right outside the station entrance so we literally walked maybe 400 meters from bus to hotel. Service from front desk personnel was great, very friendly, and accommodating. Rooms are clean and modern, having been recently renovated. Power outlets have USB ports etc.. Plenty of cafes and bistros in the neighborhood. Pharmacy right across the street was helpful when I came down with a cold. There is a small grocery between the station and the hotel making picking up snacks and drinks for room convenient. Cons: You'll need that grocery at least for now as their is no food service onsite during the renovation. We were there from Christmas to New Years an the entire ground floor was under heavy construction - walls were still open, wiring exposed etc.. I assume food service will be added downstairs from the look of things but that is a staging area for the construction right now. The wifi on our floor cut out repeatedly. My daughter found it wasn't out on all floors. Just ours. Might be better after construction is finished. This is neither a pro or a con but just something odd to note. When we made the reservation it was for a room with two beds, as there were 3 of us. They put us in two adjacent rooms (not adjoining) instead. It was OK as my daughter is 18 and I felt safe but would not work for younger kids and we weren't told ahead of time.
Bad service, important issues with room.
The hotel is under construction. The lobby area is being remodeled and they fail to indicate it, so when you show up you do it to a construction site with almost a dozen workers. They start working really early making loud noise disregarding their guests. The rooms are new. However, mine #201 jad many problems. The phone was broken and they didn't even try to fix it, but more importantly the heating was broken (during late december) and I had the same luck. After many complaints and requests they gave a portable heating unit that also didn't work.
Good but expensive hotel
Stay was good. Little expensive but close to the city centre. The service was not so good. But overall experience was fine,
There was a renovation going on - in corridors and staircases.
Administration is not helpful , not cooperative not professional
The location of this hotel is perfect for public transportation! The staff is very friendly and speak multiple languages. The hotel locks it’s doors at night and has security to let you in at whatever time you arrive. The rooms are small and cleaned. I enjoyed my stay :)
First time in Paris
We had two rooms for my family of 4. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The smell in the public areas of the hotel was bad. The hotel was undergoing renovations and I wish that had been posted before I booked. The carpet on the stairs from our room to the elevator was covered in plastic and very slippery and not safe. The staff were pleasant and very helpful and it was very convenient to get to the Metro. No offer of help to take the luggage to the rooms which I felt should have been offered because of the plastic on the stairs to the room from the elevator made this difficult. They also do not book attractions and tours so I had to do that myself. The shower needs somewhere to place shampoo, soap etc. Hard to keep the floors from getting wet. The fridge and safe and air-conditioning were great to have in the room and access to a microwave was available. There was also a laundrymat, a pharmacy and convenience store nearby. Would probably not stay again but it was good value for the money.
They are renovating so the workers can be a bit noisy after 9am. Otherwise, the rooms were clean. The staff friendly and it is in a great location to trains, restaurants, shopping, etc.
Beds were Amazing!
This place wasn’t bad! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the shower was new and it had USB plugs directly into the wall for charging electronics. The breakfast was good for €10. We went in May and they were doing construction in the hotel so there was dust everywhere, plastic coverings on all the stairs and they started construction about 9:30 in the morning. I wasn’t a fan of the front desk staff and area; they were not as friendly as you would hope and the entry was cluttered and smelled of sewage. Elevator fits 2 comfortably and takes a very long time to get running. Take the stairs, it will be faster. It’s a good location if you are interested in the Bastille or Opera House. About a 35 minute walk to Norte Dame.
We got transfered to a newly renovated room on the 5th floor and it was very nice there
Nice little hotel on quiet street
Excellent clean hotel on quiet street. A perfect base from which to explore the city. A short walk from Gare de Lyon. Very reasonable rates.
Pretty good place, convenient location near commercial areas and public transport. Decent pricing. Very small basic rooms.
The property seemed to be under construction but in poor condition none the less. The bathroom didn’t seem clean and there were cracks in the floor, tub & walls. The front desk attendee who checked us in was great though!
Worst Experienced!
Please do not book this hotel. The entire hotel has paint all over the place and a very strong paint smell. Very poor quality, Worst experienced ever. Very old rooms!
There was one lightbulb in the room, one in the bathroom. The stairwell was dark and narrow, bathroom is moldy and falling apart. Lobby is stacked full of rolls of flooring material and unusable.
Nice Friendly staff.. Close to the train station. Nice and newly refurbished hotel...
there were holes in the ceiling and mold in the shower and it leaked
Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed. Clean. No chair in the room, just a stool, as it was a tiny room even by French standards. Noisy until after midnight. Very cordial and accommodating staff.
Amazing
the hotel is nearby to the train station , still within walking distance around 10 minutes walk, however if you're travelling with big luggage or kids it is advisable to take taxi for easy access. The room is well maintained and all the amenities in the room are all complete. the room is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
Lovely service
Rooms are small but price and location are perfect. Staff are friendly and helpful. And willing to speak English
Bad smell by the lift. Staff friendly and welcoming Slow lift 30 sec for doors to close.
Quaint french hotel
We appreciated the stay at this hotel, the staff was very helpful and it was very central.
bathroom and room very small cannot move
Nice location but very small rooms not very impressed looks very different to the picture
Small rooms but clean and great AC. Staff was extremely helpful especially the two women at the front desk.
I booked this hotel instead I check out August 10 by mistake I put August 12 when asked them to return my money back because I paid for 4 nights instead 2 nights the refused very disappointed to stay 2 nights and paid for 4 nights no body there is good all staff very bad no wifi in my room very small showers is not worth there 1 euro for 1 nigh and paid almost 600 euro
Nice clean hotel in the 12th Arond'ment
Stayed only one night and everything was fine. Stayed here before and it's been fine each time.
Great hotel. We only stayed one night and were very impressed. Location convenient to Gare de Lyon train station. Anna Maria and Dominick were very helpful. We had some issues with our electrical outlets and they relocated us to another room. Anna Maria was very helpful in working with the airline which had lost one of our bags.
For the price a pleasant place to stay with a good location for me because it was close to my friend's residence. Wonderful market nearby too.
Bit expensive for what you get
The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The room was pretty basic with a shower attachment in the small sized bath that wouldn’t stay in the shower head holder.
quick stay
Just spent one night here. Very reasonable price/quality ratio. Great location near Gare de Lyon. The only issue was that the walls were a bit thin...could hear when people came in/out.
Good little hotel near Gare de Lyon
Great little hotel near the Gare de Lyon. Area was fantastic, easy metro access to all of the tourist attractions. We ended up coming back to the area 2 out of 3 nights for dinner as we found lovely little cafes and didn't have a bad meal. The hotel is your typical Parisian hotel, small bathroom, tight space in the room, but it serves its purpose. Housekeeping came everyday, bed was comfortable, elevator worked. Nothing fancy, but absolutely fine for a few night stay.
Awesome staff, located close to Gare de Lyon
This hotel was a great value for what I paid. I stayed eight nights so they upgraded my room for me at no extra charge. I also got sick out there and the staff was awesome. They pretty much took care of me, offering me tea den drinks and else I needed. They were friendly and helpful literally to the last staff member. I would totally stay there again! (Thanks again, Anita, for being so wonderful)!
Very helpful staff but hotel needs a makeover
The hotel rooms are very very small. Our rooms had in twin beds and there was not much room after that for moving around the room. The shower head could not stay upright so most times we had to either take the shower head out of the holder or bath very close to the wall. The bath tub was rotting on the outside. There was tape on the ceiling. And I can go on...There are many minor things I think they could easily rectify. It is so disappointing that they have not. Breakfast was ok.. continental nothing to shout about. But on the flip side the staff are absolutely brilliant. They are so helpful and nothing is too big or too small for them to help you with. Even the cleaners went out of their way to communicate with you in some way as they didn't speak English. Anita is such a credit to the place. If management could only do the badly needed upgrades to the place it will only compliment the professionalism of the staff.
Mediocre hotel with friendly staff
Wifi was very spotty, no power outlet in bathroom, partial shower door, hand held shower head would not stay in holder, and I got bug bites on my feet and legs during my 4 night stay.
Happy Honeymooners
The hotel is fantastic. Spacious, clean and the breakfast was delicious. Our only negative is that the receptionist gave us misleading advice about an activity which cost us 141 Euros. So make sure to read the fine print on ALL tours and bookings. Overall excellent hotel.
Euros trip
Went there for the euros. Chose hotel as it was close to gare de Lyon as we had a very early train to catch.
Sadly my review is disappointing. We only stayed one night but we arrived at midnight hoping for comfortable room. This was not the case, it was more like an attic box room. I booked this hotel because it was a three star. This can not be true.
Small but neat and comfortable and a good price
It was a quick business trip , but had a comfortable sleep , bedding and bathroom was cleans unlike other places we stayed in paris ,
New reno
The room has a bit smell. It's probably from the new renovation.
Small PAris hotel
This is a small friendly hotel. The rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. The transport is good and there is a very good market right next door.
Budget hotel
Very basic hotel, rooms are small just a bed and table, couch or seating to really relax and chat with others. Stairs and hallways are also tight, the staff was welcoming to an adequate level and didn't have very good traveling advice. Good option for a budget hotel if all your doing is sleeping there
Great location, good service!
I travelled with a baby and they helped me switching me upgrading my room and got facilities with it. Makes my stay confortable. It's well located, close to metro station, pharmacy and supermarket. I recommend!!
Satisfaction for price and service
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The room is clean and beautiful. The staffs are friendly and for those who don't speak French they also speak English to you. The check in time is at 2pm but as I arrived at around 11am I was allowed into one of the rooms which overlooking the street and the 'roofs of Paris'. Just around the corner near the hotel, is a supermarket and small restaurants, etc. The train station is within walking distance and to get to or from the airport there is a direct bus service just in front of the train station.
Close to metro, nice quiet neighbourhood. Convenient check in times and late check out.
Prince Albert Bercy
The rooms are small as seems to be the case with Paris hotels it is in a good location. Easy 10 minute walk from Gare Lyon train station. Plenty of good reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Easy to get to the centre of Paris by RER or bus from the Gare Lyon station...
Close to train station and fun night life
We had a triple room, which served our needs. Great location, reasonable rates. Clean.
Stone's throw from the Gare de Lyon
We wanted a reasonably priced hotel for a family of 4 near the Gare de Lyon station. That is exactly what we got. The best thing was the clear cleanliness of the rooms. They were on the small side but more than adequate. We did depart early in the morning but was mildly perturbed that the night porter only released the hotel's front door lock to let us out once he was satisfied that we had not used the hotel's phones.
Not close to anything, scary neighborhood
We walked back to this hotel the first nite not knowing the neighborhood was scary and dark. The rooms were barely cleaned everyday and one nite they had no clean towels at all due to the laundry not returning them so they said. So they gave us the bath sheets that you put on the floor. The shower was so small you could not turn around in it and it was moldy. There is no view of anything it is about 2 miles to Notre Dame.
excellent location close to Gare de Lyon
good quality for price, small rooms but comfortable, good location
Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff
Excellent stay, walking distance from gare de Lyon was a plus (++traffic on arrival), close to place de la Bastille and walking distance to many sights. Rooms small but comfortable, pleasant neighborhood.
An average, ok hotel in Paris, near GARE du Lyon
The rooms are Typical of European hotels, quite small. However, probably as good a value as is possible in Paris.
Decent hotel, nothing fancy - ok if cheap.
This is an "adequate" hotel, nothing fancy or luxurious here. Having said that, the room was clean and the staff helpful. I am in Paris very often and will consider this one again If the price is right.
Good hôtel
Small room but enough for short stay. Nearby Gare de Lyon station, and vers good sel comme from staff. I recommend this hôtel
Cosy and well located
Great breakfast. Staff friendly & helpful. Convenient to station
Convenient for travelling at Gare de Lyon
We were travelling to Avignon in the morning from Gare de Lyon and were only looking for somewhere to stay for a night. Didn't expect much from this hotel except it is relatively close to the station, but to our surprise the hotel is modern, the room is clean with air-conditioning, staff are friendly and the included breakfast was very good. Will likely stay again at this place the next time we visit Paris even if we are not using the train station.
Three nights
We had a great time at this hotel. The area is fine, it is very close (8-10 min walk) to the station Gare de Lyon (which has metro, RER, and national rail services). It is also close to several metro stops that will get you to major Paris attractions in little time. the hotel itself was great with the cold breakfast and helpful/kind staff. our room had three single beds which made things a little tight but never a problem since we just used the room as a place to put luggage and stuff while we were out enjoying Paris. the bathroom was fine as well, although the hair dryer left something to be desired. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because of the great price/service/location. One of the best kept secrets in Paris.
Excellent location 5mins walk
Excellent location 5mins walk from Gare de Lyon, quite large rooms with free wifi and air conditionned, very small bathroom but functional and all clean. Fair price for the quality of the room,i'd go back if needed!
Great location in the heart of Paris
Hotel was two blocks from the Gare de Lyon, the metro, and the Bastille. The Air France bus to Charles de Gaule airport was also at the Gare de Lyon. This made easy access for absolutely all of the sites in Paris, as well as getting to and from the airport. The hotel itself offers typical small Paris rooms. In our triple room we had very little space to move around the beds. But when in Paris, who spends much time in the room? There is just so much to see and do that this was not really a problem. It was clean, had a great shower, and air conditioning. We had a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor - also a Paris plus. The breakfast was adequate, although not a hot buffet as was advertised, but rather the typical continental roll, croissant, juice, plus yogurt. All in all, the Prince Albert Hotel was OK, fairly priced for Paris, and had a great location. Would definitely consider returning based on our experience.
close to gare but thats it
I have stayed in many French hotels but this was at the low end. I never saw a worn toilet seat before and the sofas in the common area were both ripped in large areas.Very disapointing!!!
Good value for the price would
Good value for the price would stay again
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, great location near Gard de Lyon metro and RER, recommended.. would stay again..........
Close to Lyon Railway Station
Close to Lyon Railway Station - centre of Paris can be reached easily on the Metro. Room quite small, but I believe this is fairly normal for Paris. The shower was too small and was difficult to move in without touching the controls.
My room ground level was compact,
My room ground level was compact, but adequate and clean. Nice area, nice park across the road along an old elevated railway viaduct, above the streets, goes for several kilometres. The staff are very kind and helpful, and continental buffet breakfast is good. It is well-located, you can roll your suitcase along from the Gare de Lyon (TGV, RER, Metro) in about 5 minutes. I recommend this hotel for convenience and friendliness.
fine except for total lack of
fine except for total lack of international tv or sport! Please note having stayed at numerous hotels we have never seen a "thank you" card from Hotel Club
a very efficient hotel.... room
a very efficient hotel.... room good for a short stay.. a full size mirror was lacking. The double room was more like a single but the staff were all very nice and friendly. i would go again.
No more than 5 mins walk from
No more than 5 mins walk from Gare de Lyon, this hotel seems freshly renovated and very clean. Room with bathroom I was in doesn't have a lot of room to move but this is par for the course and I've been in many farmore cramped and certainly dingy/dirty places for similar cost. has free internet terminal in lobby and staff are pleasant.
Located within a 5 minute walk
Located within a 5 minute walk to the Gare Lyon, the Prince Albert has a great location. The room rate (US$104) with an excellent breakfast that included soft-boiled eggs. Rooms are small but the bathrooms are modern. Service is pleasant and responsive. A good Paris bargain.
Room v. nice and clean for a night's
Room v. nice and clean for a night's stay. Breakfast too expensive for the quality of hot beverages from a machine.
Good location... close to Metro
Good location... close to Metro (Gare de Lyon)... 2 min walk. Small rooms but clean and neat. Free WiFi (get code at reception). Breakfast reasonable.
This hotel definitely needs to
This hotel definitely needs to be refurbished. After a shower the bathroom was flooded as the door above the bath would not stay in position. I asked for a different room and to my surprise in this room the safe could not be opened. The continental breakfast was just fine. A very special thank you to a very helpful gentleman Noureddine, he went to great lengths th help us. I will, regardless of the minor hicups, go there again. Melbourne, Australia.
Close to Gare de Lyon. Very small
Close to Gare de Lyon. Very small room, but OK for the price. Safe in room and hairdryer not working. Breakfast very nice. The staff could speak English
Have stayed there three times.
Have stayed there three times. Staff pleasant and helpful. Close to Gare de Lyon but hotel street was very quiet. Rooms small and clean.
In the heart of town and near
In the heart of town and near a metro station. The hotel is clean, good service, and the employees nice. However the rooms are rather small
Excellent location close to wide
Excellent location close to wide variety of cafes, restaurants and most importantly, patisseries! Within easy walking distance of Gare de Lyon which has direct shuttle bus to CDG airport. Staff very friendly, breakfast room full of character but bedrooms are very small.
Dommage
Prince Albert Lyon Bercy | Hotel in Paris | Travala.com
This is a tiny unpretentious hotel, very hard to get to, and with impossible parking. Rooms are tiny, and quite minimalist in appurtenances. No A/C or fans. Tiny staircases, with tiny elevator, which stops short of floor destinations, requiring a few steps carrying your luggage. Could do in a pinch for a very brief stay.
