Could be better
Was fine …. Not fantastic. Vending machines were broken. No food or snacks at front desk Water in bathroom and showers smelt like earth.
The hotel looked very nice and the room was spacious and clean. The beds are what led to the 3 stars, they were so uncomfortable, the bed sheets were so loud, if you were in a two bed room, like we were, the person in the other bed was afraid to move around or shift because the sheets were so loud. There is a pretty big gap under the hallway door that let in a lot of light pollution and noise. Not sure what room/floor it was coming from but the neighboring room was loud after 10pm. The air was so dry we got up multiple times in the night to drink water and put chapstick on on lips and noses. If you are from the states the hotel desk does ask for a card on file for incidentals, even though the room was paid through Expedia, BUT if you use a debit card they’ll put a $300.00 hold and a $50.00 with a credit card so just be aware. The restaurant in the hotel building closes at 9pm, we stood at the doors where it says to wait to be seated, at 8:35pm, just wanted something simple after driving for 3 1/2hrs the staff saw us and yet never came up to talk to us or to even turn us away. We had to get back in the car and go find other options for food. We tried the restaurant again the next day for breakfast and everything was delicious, the Egg Benedict was good but something happened in the kitchen and it ended up not coming out until about 15 mins after everyone else’s food.
Highly Recommended!
Great property, clean rooms and lots of food options nearby and in the hotel. The gym is incredible!
We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the restaurants. Service washer too.
New and clean
Needs hot tub
Nice clean room, quiet, with a jacuzzi tub!
Great property, had great experiences with day and evening staff. The restaurants are pricey but sufficient food and excellent staff service. Stayed 3 nights. The night staff woman was curt and I complained to the day staff. I requested more towels and bedding as we are a family of 5 would have been nice if towels and bedding was already in room. My issue with her was she spoke loudly and I didn’t when a family member in the hallway asked me a question I responded in Spanish as we are practicing for holidays. I was told to speak quietly as it was 10:05 I felt it was an overreaction to her voice level and my 2 minute conversation. People with small kids and nighttime demands could be more accommodating as I wouldn’t have been in the hall if the needs for bedding and towels were forethought by the staff prior to my 8pm check in after driving 10 hours!
Great hotel and affordable.
We had a suite and there were two sofa beds plus a queen in the bedroom. The way the sofa beds were placed, we couldn’t open both of them at the same time- we had to move them around first. Cleanliness was fine, but a lot of the furniture was chipped and there were holes in the walls where pictures had beed hung. The kitchen was great, full sized fridge, lots of cooking ware, but no drinking glasses, just mugs and wine glasses and only 4 of each, I would recommend at least 6 plates and bowls. This hotel is right beside a railway track and our suite shook and swayed each time a train went by. The pool and hot tub were OK. Again, clean but the deck was well worn so looked and felt dingy. Lots of parking out front, a huge entrance that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Staff were lovely. There was a spa and restaurant attached, but we didn’t use. We were given to option to forego maid service for a $10 voucher at the restaurant per day that we stayed.
Excellent stay! So clean and the staff was very nice and professional, I would stay here again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The staff and people here couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.
great small-town hotel with a good gym and solid restaurants. recommended
Strange - no glasses or cups in the room to use for drinking water? Are we suppose to drink directly from the tap or bring our own?
Roomy and Clean
Lovely hotel to stay at in Cranbrook. Coffee at the reception is exceptional. Rooms are large and roomy. TV was also a nice size.
Not feather pillows
I must apologize for my earlier review. I complained about only having feather pillows in our room. I have an allergy to feathers. We always check the tags on the pillows, and when we saw the Canada Feather Company tag, we assumed they were feather pillows. We later found out that they were NOT feather, but an alternative synthetic material. Sorry for the confusion.
This is a beautiful hotel. Every employee we dealt with went above and beyond be helpful. The building is perfect, easy access and the pool and hot tub area clean and very beautiful. I will recommend this hotel to anybody I know that is going to Cranbrook, B. C.
It worked for a night.
.
Great location
Restaurant and bar close to early
Woke up to a couple cockroaches in the bathroom. Couldn't see the bottom of the hot tub because it was too murky. Staff are great, food is good at the pub and restaurant but for $250 a night the place is a joke.
Nice hotel nice staff felt like it was overpriced
Great place to stay at.
This was a great place to stay
we enjoyed our stay here! :3
Amazing stay. Everything was pristine clean. Location was easy. Good restaurants and shops in close proximity by car.
The staff were exceptionally great to work with.
Check in staff was not friendly. Property is very nice but the area is not great.
Property is nice but, not much within walking distance for other food choices…. But nice hotel and good staff and comfy beds so it’s was nice
Nice property some vibration from the train behind made it more interesting loved the hot tub in the room and the restaurant was great.
Great place to stay. Easy cab ride to Rock in the Kootenays music festival. Could have walked but husband has a bad knee.
Very nice hotel with a very short walk to downtown. Staff was incredibly nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel
The property feels a bit dated. The beds were really soft. Compared to other prestige hotels, this one was not the same or up to the standard I was expecting.
Nice hotel felt was little over priced for what hotel actually is felt like an expensive BW or Holiday Express

Upon opening our room 306 it was occupied And embarking for the couple inside Once we got to our room it was very hot Air conditioner not working The hideabed was terrible like sleeping on springs ; terrible got a 70 year old Staff on the Saturday did mot have empathy I asked for Manager and told NONE available Needless to say I won’t recommend nor will I be back
Nice hotel, clean and easy accessibility
Nice
Melvin at the front desk was an absolute delight. My fridge wasnt working and he replaced it in under 10 minutes, along with bringing some additional ammenities to the room he noticed we may need. The restaurant had a good selection and accommodating hours. Perfect stop over for our trip.
Great friendly staff, clean, quiet and parking to accommodate 24 ft trailer for the night.
Location is good. Very clean.

Nice Hotel
Stayed here often always top notch
We arrived late and asked them to keep pool open a bit later for us and they opened it until 1030pm which we were very happy with. Unfortunately they said there were no more pool towels as all towels in the laundry. The room on Expedia said it fit 5 but we had to order a cot in, luckily there was one available. There are no sofa beds. We like to drink tea before bed but they said there is no more hot water in the lobby again until morning. Probably can get better value at another hotel as for what was included, I found it pricey. Breakfast is not included
Comfortable
It was a bit on the pricey side but the rooms were well-appointed and comfortable. The in-room amenities were high quality and the property was very quiet.
Every thing is lovely. Would have been nice if there was breakfast.
The TV was analog, but the feed was digital, so the television did not work well. Coffee maker was hidden in a drawer, so we did not find it until we were checking the room before we left. Apart from that, the beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked well. Boy was it a hot time in Cranbrook!
The lights in our room went in and out, same happened at the pool. Breakfast was good at the restaurant. The staff checking us in was gracious but didn't share a ton about facilities amenities or the hours for pool, gym, restaurants. Etc or how to get to our room but we figured it out.
Great location and very clean!
Nice outdoor patio and we loved looking at the trains. In fact, want to try and book one of those train rooms one day.
Great Hotel
Very accommodating Thank you
The hotel was walking distance to the wedding venue
Ac didn’t really work. Advertised as fitting 5 but it didn’t.
Wonderful hotel
Hotel is on edge of town, downtown is a 10 min walk. Rail tracks behind property
Great property lots of amenities
Property is good
Really nice place to stay and restaurant was great. Only problem was the parking. There was no parking available on the day we were there and that was frustrating.
Nice area
Everything about the property was great. Clean, fresh and bright room. Well-laid out. We appreciated the restaurant on-site. Will recommend and would stay here again.
Our room was large and very clean and quiet. The dinning room served really delicious meals and had friendly staff.
Our room was excellent, clean and fresh and well-laid out, with plenty of space. The beds and fine linen meant a very good night's sleep. We also appreciated the restaurant on site, and we ate both breakfast and evening snack there. A bonus is having the hotel next to the railroad tracks, where we could see the marvelous antique trains and we then visited the historic train center next door. The sound-proofing in exterior walls meant that you could faintly hear a train passing by.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, highly recommended
Nice enough but a little overpriced for what you get. On sight restaurant dinner was ok, breakfast was good
Great stay
Staff was amazing! Everyone was so kind and helpful!
We could not enter the property after hours. No one answered the buzzer and we were locked out. Otherwise, front staff were lovely when we checked in and breakfast room service was 7/10 French toast entailed one single piece of French toast. Eggs benny was delicious. Bedding was average. Not great for $250 per night.
Review regulations about unaccompanied minors
Everything was exceptional about the hotel, rooms and service. The room itself was very quiet and comfortable. The only exception was 10 unaccompanied minors who made the evening swimming area an atrocious place for other guests. Parents should not be allowed to leave that many kids unattended just because they are over 7 years old.
Great place
Excellent hotel
I was really annoyed. My 15 year old and I went to use their gym and found out that you have to 19 to use it. Hotel was subpar. Staff were not welcoming. The restaurant Fire and Oak though— so good!
Same services, higher price
This is a lovely hotel. It was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I knocked off a star because unlike cheaper hotels that offer the same comfort and friendly staff, the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort does not have the same value for the money. The hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast. A hotel down the road was at least $75 cheaper, and provides a complimentary breakfast. We ended up having breakfast at the Fire &Oak, the restaurant within the hotel, which ended up costing over $50 for my husband and I. Adding the price difference and the cost of breakfast, we would have saved at least $125 if we stayed at the other hotel. Considering how everything is so expensive, this cost difference is a big deal. That’s more than a tank of gas. We purposely stayed at this hotel as it was closer to the CP railyard with the Holiday train coming through. Unless there was another reason to specifically stay at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort, I highly doubt we will stay here again.
Very inflexible with their customers.
Excellent
Satisfid
The staff were friendly and so helpful. Our room was very clean and very quiet. We could see trains passing by and never heard a thing. Great place to stay when visiting Cranbrook BC.
Convenient for us
Lovely property. Amazing exercise room. Nice restaurant.
The property and restaurant are great . Would be nice if the City had Uber and Taxi service that were available later than 11pm
Everything
Good
A staff member bent rules as to allow by boys an opportunity to get in a workout. It’s refreshing to not be babied by policy and insane progressive safety regulations. Thank you for letting my boys become men.
Nice hotel.
It was good
Prestige Inns are always , clean, have friendly staff and comfortable beds. They are our go to hotels in BC.
Value for money was just not there. I have stayed at 5 hotels in Cranbrook and there was nothing here that would make me say the extra 70 dollars a night was worth the price difference. Please upgrade your pillows for 200 plus a night this should be an expectation. I had better pillows at other locations. Pool was a nice touch but again not at an average of 70 dollars more a night. When you see a price difference you assume its better. Nothing special here to warrant inflated room rates.
It was clean, furnished with quality/nicely. Staff and restaurant were excellent
Nice hotel and great staff. Only downfall was finding popcorn and hair and baby hair on the sheets at time of checkin. Was moved to another room. Exec hsk should pull back sheets when doing room checks. Can tell if bed was used by placement of pillows as i work in the hotel industry.
always liked the Prestige
Great property nice rooms. Beds were hard didn’t like that. Didn’t like that they weren’t close to any food joints within walking But all it’s a nice hotel
Bed was super comfy
Maxine's visit
We were supposed to be at the Prestige for one night only, however my husband broke his hip and I ended up being there for 11 nights. The hotel gave me a "hospital" rate which helped immensely and the staff were very kind asking me about his condition on a regular basis. Can't say enough good about how I was treated.
Room not worth $350 a night.
We were stuck in traffic for over 5 hours on the way and didn't get there to check in until after 10pm, which unfortunately would have given us only 13 hours to enjoy the $350 room we booked. They were kind enough to allow a late check-out for 1pm, however we received a phone call to the room at 11:08 that woke us up, then room service knocked on the door to see if we were gone yet at 12:30. If they were concerned with us leaving early should have never allowed a late check out.
Clean rooms and quiet
It was a last minute check in.. they got us in our rooms quickly and we’re very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

At checkout the lady didn’t ask how I wanted to pay and just charged my card when I wanted to pay debit. Checking in was a bit of a mess as well, they sent us to one room that was occupied and had to move us, the back and forth was a bit annoying.
