Overall it’s fine. Valuable. The hotel gave everything you paid for. The motion sensor in the corridor outside the room was not sensible enough.
The room was for three people. Small. Clean. Near the train station. We were in transit. There were no shampoos or hair dryers in the room.
It was in an excellent area. Super convenient. No one told me the breakfast was next door so I couldn’t find it for a bit, but when I did it was nice. The vending machine for water was down while I was there but the staff was very pleasant. The room was a good size for just me but it wasn’t very clean. There was another persons hair in the shower and when I went to get into bed it was covered in hair that did not belong to me.
Very budget level hotel. Poor air circulation in winter time. Very noisy if windows are open on both side of hotel (trains & traffic).
Lyon trip
Brilliant place. Nearby to the main station so easy access to and from the airport.. lovely walk to the river
Excelente opcion para conocer Lyon
Starting with the reception the staff speaks English. the aid was blocked , my room was ready. the hotel is 10 minutes walk from theTrain station where you can move to any part of the city and the country (I travel from CDG airport to Lyon direct by train. The only thing I had at the hotel is that I was charged in advance for the two rooms and they were supposed to be paid at the hotel.
No ev charging in car park
We had a short stay, everything seemed fine until we woke up with bed bug bites and then realized there was an infection. Found mark on pillow and bed bug in the bathroom floor. Complaint to the reception on our way out they said they will look into it and get back to my email. Also they did not have first aid in reception, my partner had a paper cut and we asked for band aid or something in reception and they said they have nothing.
Convenient stay in new town part of Lyon
Excellent location near the train station (less than 10 minutes walk) and close to eateries and convenience stores (across the street). Room was clean, albeit tight, with a comfortable bed. It is a bit of a walk (about 30 minutes) to Place Bellecour and Vieux Lyon in old town, the main sightsee areas, but close to a Metro stop at Garibaldi or bus stops. All in all, a pleasant stay.
On the whole it was a lovely hotel, my only real complaint was lack of fresh air. The wind was a tilt and turn window and had a note saying there was a opening limit as is common in all multi story hotels. However our window catch was broken so they had screwed the window shut. It meant the room was very stuffy. It would cost about £10 for a new window catch and takes about 10 minutes to change. Screwing the window shut is not the right thing to do. The whole window unit would now need to be changed.
You get what you pay for
Inexpensive hotel very close to train station, which is what we needed. The breakfast is at restaurant next door, and it was wonderful! Rooms are very basic and small but totally fine for a night or two. Skimpy on the towels (only 2 in room) but we asked for extras and they accommodated us. Cheap & cheerful place!
It was a very good hotel and the staff were friendly.
Expedia needs to actually see and know the properties they recommend. The website pictures were VERY deceiving! The room was tiny, barely 18 inch clearance around all sides of a queen size bed! No place to put your luggage. The bathroom was tiny - probably the smallest sink we had ever seen. There was nothing special about this property- no coffee set up in the room - nothing but a vending machine in the lobby and a suggested restaurant next door. We got a small bottle of champagne when we checked in but no glasses to drink from! The hallway, as part of an energy savings were pitch black, you had to exit the elevator into the dark to get the lights to switch on but no instructions or warning - the elevator opened to total darkness. It’s an old run down looking place that needs to be updated especially for the for the price they charged - €232.33 Thankfully we only stayed a single night. VERY disappointed.
Good stay for tourists
The hotel is comfortable and economical for stay as a tourists, especially as a group. Its location is near to main train station, metro and tramway connectivity. Ver close to city centre and malls.
Loved the proximity to Gare de Lyon Part Dieu, the Mall and the food market, etc think a 5-10 minute walk once you know where you're going we arrived late on a very rainy night and exited the station the wrong way confused by the construction but no hassle at all. We are not fussy travelers we were having a basic trip so I guess price matches nothing to compare as first to France. Room was basic but appeared clean enough, sapart from the clothes hangars covered in dust literally had to wash the dust off but again not an issue we weren't staying long and I only wanted it because we had gotten wet on the way otherwise wouldn't have noticed. We were not expecting a wetroom so that threw us a bit and and the lighting not so bright so I felt a little weary but I am 'that person' about clean bathrooms so was weary but we have long left and both ok so must have been ok really. Clean sheets and towels. Don't forget to move the tissue before taking a shower, oops. Can't comment on facilities as we were literally out at the crack of dawn and not back till really late at nights so just a place to rest our heads and shower and it was ok.
Kind and helpful
Clean and comfortable. Very convrnient for the station and tram.
Basic inexpensive hotel
Decent for the price- a basic hotel near tye train station. Not a great area. Small room (especially for 3 people). Sheets clean, floor not so much. First room had defective sink. They moved us quickly to a new room. It smelled (I think of tobaccol), but was fine after a little airing.
Hotel was relatively convenient for Part-Dieu station, it being a 10 minutes walk, max. along the main road. The room was small but comfortable and I would stay here again.
Staffs are nice and polite. I got early check in
Good for short stays
Well located next to train station. Suitable for a nights stay but would not recommend for longer stays. Has everything you need, was quite and clean.
loved it
really amazing staff so nice. room so clean and comfortable close to all transportation
Staff was polite and helpful
Room was tiny!. No phone, no coffee maker ( on packet of instant coffee for 2 people and no creamer) very limited TV and not a single one in English.. Woud not recommend this property
Convenient
Very convenient place for travellers going from Part Dieu railway station . Very new clean hotel budget quality.
The room show you two bed, but there is a third bed in the middle of air, 90 degree to these two beds. So you are very easy to bump your head when you are moving around. Very disturbance. Totally horrible experience
Bed sizes were not as advertised
Value for money
rugby Stay
Great friendly staff, place is very clean & great location to the train station. a little weird that the lights only come on when someone enters the hallway.
For the price of the room £130.00 it was grim Won’t be back, tiny room, no kettle tray €20 deposit on the hairdryer for 1 hour Slept with suitcase on the bed nowhere else to put it
Great location!
We booked a triple for a family of three. It was exactly as shown in the photos, so no surprise really that it was a very small room. The corridor exiting the elevator had a pervasive terrible smell, like rotten garbage. The beds were fine but the bathroom had only 2 towels for 3 people. The shower had black mold growing in the tile grout and there was a smear of something thick and yellow on the bathroom door. This hotel is a budget pick that is convenient to The Part Dieu train station but it could really use a good cleaning.
People at the desk were genuinely nice to me, instructions were clear and to the point. Key drop off was smooth. I mean, it ran as you would expect a proper hotel to run.
Room is very small but adequate for a short stay. Near train station and nice, big shopping mall
The location was great, next to the train station and the bus stop to the city. The room was comfortable and clean. I really liked that they had amenities free for customer use such as an electric kettle and microwave placed in the common area.
Staff at reception spoke very good English which helped despite my best attempts to communicate in French. There is microwave in the lobby which is also handy. The room was also clean and comfortable and a good size. The bathroom was really good as well.
Very small room, shower door missing (staff said many were missing and why did it bother us!!!). Two flimsy towels, one with a brownish stain, same for shower mat. Not much else except for a pack of Q-tips, a comb and a 500ml carton of water. Carton goblets leaked! The door to the washroom made a terrible noise when opening or closing, quite annoying during the night!j All in all, we were expecting more from a hotel that calls itself « Premiere classe » and at that price. We’ve had much better for less.
The room was extremely small. The breakfast food was very poor. Basically the hotel was the worst I had ever stayed.
Basic but clean
This has to be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The room was very basic but clean with comfortable bed. Shower room again basic but clean with clean towels. If you are wanting somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights then this hotel is fine. Not if you are wanting a glass of wine on your balcony in the evening.
The room was small with no amenities but it was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit yogurt cheese ham juice good coffee and more. The service was also very good. Good choice.
Staff was very helpful and also available 24/7; room was clean, bed comfy, shower and bathroom modern and good. What more would I want?
Expectations were met, it was just what we were looking for. Close to areas of interest and quiet.
Lyon Gare Dieu hotel Premiere Classe
The room was on the small side, but it was clean, well air conditioned (essential for the 101F weather!) and the bed was cozy. The shower pressure was so so, and it did get loud sometimes from the neighbors and a concert outside, but it was quiet late at night.
Very close to the station and my appointment Smell
Fantastic
The front desk staff went above and beyond what was necessary, amazing
helpful staff; microwave in lobby--good on sundays when all the good restaurants are closed! small room but clean and can walk to part-dieu train station in about 5 minutes. otherwise, area around hotel is in the midst of construction and a bit boring
Stay in Lyon
Great location walking distance from the train station approx 15 minutes. There was also a regular bus that came every 4-7 minutes to the train station if you didn’t want to walk. There were bikes outside the hotel that you could hire which we enjoyed and went to visit the zoo. There was a lot of restaurants and food choices close by to the hotel we went to a taco bar which is definitely worth the visit the portions were huge. Within the hotel there was also a vending machine for hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and pasta. There was a microwave that you could use too if you needed to heat something up. There was no kettle within the room which was a tad disappointing but we survived as there was a coffee machine downstairs. The breakfast was nice you were provided with an option of a croissant or a pain au chocolate upon entry, with toast and yogurts. There wasn’t any options of fruit apart from apples, there was Tropicana and hot drinks. It would have been nice to have the option of more pastries rather than just the one.
Continent
Brilliant cheap hotel close to the centre of town and the train station
The property was in a good location fairly close to the main train station and tram network. However the hotel itself whist clean was very basic in terms of facilities and breakfast and the rooms quite small. Ok for one or two night stay.
This is an excellent hotel if you are travelling by train. The 8 min walk to and from the station was welcomed for our 6 am train departure.
The experience was great experience!
Nice hotel good check in would stay again in the future ideal for shopping trams trains and busses
Nice easy check in clean room perfect for our two night stay
The room was so small it was like torture being in it. Almost no space to even stand next to the beds. Terrible. The front desk people were profoundly arrogant and unwelcoming. They should all be fired and barred from the hospitality industry for the rest of their miserable lives. And the location was awful. Sketchy people hanging around and no place nearby to eat. I’d rather sleep on the sidewalk in winter than stay at this rat trap again.
Basic room, nice and clean. Cheap and cheerful.
Hard to access due to construction in area Good value
The guy of the desk was very nice. But the quality of the room was poor considering its price.
The soap dispenser in the shower was empty and despite asking for it to be refilled the next day, there was not enough for 3 people. The drain in the sink was blocked. Despite complaints, the damage was not repaired. We had to change rooms because the bunk bed in the first room we were assigned was not properly anchored to the wall.
Ok hotel
Ok hotel. Tæt på togstationen
Struttura moderna e silenziosa, camera molto piccola e pulizia così così, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
Ok perushotelli, sopi hyvin yhden yön hotelliksi.
Premiere Classe Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu | Hotel in Lyon | Travala.com
