Please exercise some patience, as there are non-English speaking staff but they will try to help you. The rooms are really small. My TV didn't work and as a solo traveler, that was a bit disappointing and the staff couldn't fix it. In addition, I couldn't control the air conditioner with the remote and it's powered by inserting the door entry card into a slot by the front door. Which means, I had to get up throughout the night to turn off the A/C. This area was incredibly noisy during my visit and you must be careful at night. The staff was very nice and I loved the sweet dog! Breakfast was simple. Overall, the price per night matched my experience.

What an adorable and comfortable place! I felt safe as a solo female traveler. They were awesome in accommodating breakfast for me to a vegan, gluten-free diet. It's super clean and walkable to a lot of places. My favorite part is Zulema - the hotel dog!

the location was great, the room was spacious, the bathroom was nice and big lots of closet space hammocks to rest in, a pleasant overall atmosphere just lovely all around, felt like staying with a lovely friend in a beautiful old house in a perfect location by the sea

Bed & breakfast very close to the beaches in Barra

Pousada Estrela do Mar was a nice bed & breakfast. The best parts of the hotel are definitely the staff, the location close to the beaches in Barra & the Barra Lighthouse, and the breakfast! The hotel itself is otherwise quite basic. We stayed in a 1 bed- room and though there was a small balcony, the room itself was small. Also, make sure they turn on the hot water for the shower! We didn't have hot water our first day because it wasn't turned on.

Comfortable and convenient location but a taxi ride away from the centre. Make sure you don't stay in the downstairs room opposite the kitchen unless you want to be woken up by staff at 5:45am!

Gorgeous place to stay by the sea in Salvador

Pousada Estrela do Mar was great - lovely location right by the sea, helpful and friendly staff, great advice from Sean about things to do and places to visit and a fantastically fresh breakfast which was different every morning

If I go back to Salvador (and I sure hope I do), I hope I'll be able to stay here again. The hotel staff and owner are friendly and attentive. I really appreciated the great customer service we received from the moment we made the reservation till the time we left the property at the end of our stay. Here are a few of the highlights: Location, in the Barra area by the lighthouse and beaches. We especially loved this area at night--there were restaurants and live musicians within walking distance. Daily breakfasts. They were simple, filling and tasty. The eggs were made to order and the jams and juices are fresh and delicious. Room/bathroom. Our room was a good size and it was nice to have a few English options on the television. And the warm shower water was a plus. Staff. Went out of their to make our stay great. They offered tips, booked things for us in advance, called around to get information ... all to ensure we would have a great time and we did.

Good location, average hotel

This hotel was average. Bed wasn't very comfortable. The rooms need some attention, Tv was very old with few channels. Cleaning was just ok. The floors need to be cleaned better. The area felt safer then other areas we visited in sketchy salvador.

A equipe é muito atenciosa e sempre disposta para ajudar no que for preciso. A pousada fica num ponto ótimo da cidade e o café da manhã estava muito bom. Porém, em termo de estrutura, achei que deixou a desejar bastante. O quarto que fiquei estava com pequenas rachaduras no teto, pintura parecia velha (com muitas machas) e o quarto, no geral, estava com aspecto de mal-conservado. Por tudo que vi no site, esperava mais da pousada.

Atendimento muito gentil, café da manhã fantástico; localização perfeita. Mas há necessidade de maior atenção com alguns detalhes, como o ventilador de teto estar por um fio, caindo (não usei; e tinha um split excelente) e a porta do armário estava solta. Voltaria a me hospedar, mas seria importante que mantivessem maior cuidado. Por fim, senti falta de uma mesinha no quarto...

Nossa estadia na Pousada Estrela do Mar foi excelente! Localização perfeita, pertinho do Farol da Barra. Nos sentimos bem seguros ao andar pela vizinhança, mesmo à noite. O atendimento foi impecável do início ao fim. O quarto era bem espaçoso e comportou minha família com conforto. O café da manhã estava satisfatório! Voltaremos com certeza!

Fiquei MUITO feliz em ter me hospedado na Estrela do Mar. Sem dúvidas a pousada mais bem localizada de Salvador - á pouquíssimos metros do Farol. Além disso, a Estrela cumpre com tudo que promete: conforto, limpeza, segurança, bom atendimento e recepção 24h. O café da manhã é servido, mas é farto. Enfim, sempre que voltar em Salvador, me hospedarei nessa mesma pousada.

Ótima localização mas quartos pouco arejados

Troquei de quartos algumas vezes por conta do cheiro de mofo e também por não funcionamento de ar-condicionado. A equipe se mostrou disposta o tempo todo para contornar a troca. A localização é muito boa. Café da manhã razoável e equipe noturna poderia ser mais cordeal e flexível.

A experiência foi muito boa. O atendimento prestado pelos funcionários é gentil, prestativo, amigo. Eles até atendem o hóspede em questões que não são da obrigação de uma pousada. O café da manhã é farto, variado e preparado com esmero. Nos quartos do fundo não se ouve o barulho da rua. A pousada está bem localizada, a apenas duas quadras da orla.

Localização excelente, bem próximo da praia e do farol da Barra, assim como próximo a restaurantes. Excelente atendimento na pousada com funcionários prestativos, destacando-se João Paulo. Café da manhã muito bom servido na mesa conforme preferência do hóspede e com bolos frescos e diferentes a cada dia. Como ponto de melhoria recomenda-se trocar o chuveiro, pois mesmo colocando na temperatura mínima estava muito quente. Embora o chuveiro seja grande, a água saia com pouca vazão, sendo recomendável chuveiro tipo ducha que a água sai mais concentrada. No geral ficamos muito satisfeitos com a estadia na pousada.

Trevlit litet hotell nära stranden. Ligger nära Salvadors "riktmärke" fyren och bara ett kvarter ifrån strandpromenaden.Området är väldigt lugnt. Servicen är bra med trevlig personal.

Pousada Maravilhosa!

A Pousada está bem próxima ao Farol da Barra, com fácil acesso às praias. Também é próxima aos Fortes de Santa Maria, onde funciona o Espaço Pierre Verger da Fotografia Baiana, e São Diogo, onde está instalado o Centro de Artes Carybé. A Pousada fica num casarão super bonito, o quarto é confortável e limpo e o Wi-Fi, gratuito, funciona bem nos quartos e nas áreas comuns. O café-da-manhã é bem gostoso é variado. A equipe é simpática, prestativa e atenciosa!

Local bus froom the airport stops 300 meter away. Take the blue omnibus from the airport. When leaving the airport building, go to the right, a blue omnibus sign will be there, the. Is of the bus us 5 real, and wifi is in the bus. Leaves aporox every 40 minutts in the weekends anc every 20 minutts in the week days. Parking of car can also be found in the nebourhood

La posada es simple pero linda, y sobre todo destacamos la amabilidad de su personal y de su dueño. Son realmente unos genios que te hacen sentir como en casa y tratan de ayudarte y aconsejarte en todo momento.

Nice hotel near the beach

Nice location in a very walkable and calm area (Barra). The receptionists spoke English and were helpful. Not a business hotel; a different experience from normal chain hotels. Good in-room wi-fi. Only con was missing in-room safe.

Pousada muito bem localizada 50m do farol da barra. Pessoal muito atencioso. Bem limpa. Café da manhã gostoso. Dono muito simpático. Vale muito a pena para quem quer sair do padrão de hotel enlatado.

A estadia foi ótima! A equipe do hotel é muito atenciosa, principalmente para o café da manhã, que foi servido na mesa. De noite deu para ouvir som alto de um dos bares ou restaurantes perto, mas acabou rápido.

Optimale Lage!

Wir konnten die erste Nacht aufgrund einer Flugverspätung nicht in Anspruch nehmen, mussten Sie aber komplett bezahlen. Sie waren aber sehr hilfsbereits mit unserem Gepäck, dieses konnten wir problemlos und unentgeltlich 3 Tage versprerrt bei ihnen lassen (Ausflug in die Champada). Leider bekamen wir nach der letzten Nacht nur ein sehr mickriges Frühstück, da wir vor 6 Uhr zum Flughafen mussten. Das fand ich etwas schwach - Kaffee, getoastetes Brot und Butter. Grundsätzlich sehr bemüht, die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber und die Lage ist optimal

Agréable pour séjour en famille à Salvador

Nous avons passé 5 nuits en 3 séjours sur 3 semaines dans la Pousada en occupant deux chambres (3 enfants) . L'accueil de l'équipe était très agréable, à l'écoute et de bon conseil avec une grande disponibilité. Les personnes à l'accueil parlent parfaitement l'anglais et comprennent un peu de Français. Les petits déjeuners étaient très copieux et de bonne qualité avec jus de fruits frais, différents chaque jours et différents produits régionaux (gâteaux, fruits...). Les chambres sont propres et les lits confortables. La décoration est en revanche sommaire. Un peu de bruit en fin de semaine. L’hôtel est à 2 minutes à pied d'une plage agréable. Un bon endroit pour passer quelques jours en famille à Salvador.
