Excellent boutique hotel with impeccable service and a wonderful location
Right outside entrance to walled city, so convenient. Staff were wonderful.
Great location. Right across from the medieval city. Easy walk to the town center. Staff was exceptional!
Great location for access to the castle. Also short walk to the new town area. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.
Great location & lovely staff
Great hotel, so close to the entrance to the medieval city. The reception were so helpful and booked a fabulous restaurant for us. Also we were able to park our camper van securely which was good. We will return and dine at the sister hotel’s restaurant next time
A lovely hotel with very close proximity to the castle gate . Safe and private parking Very helpful staff .We didn’t use the restaurant at all so I can’t comment on that . Gorgeous chilled ,cat , Pom-pom asleep in the reception .
Oasis of calm in close proximity to Carcassonne
Beautiful and peaceful hotel but in such close proximity to the medieval city. However the highlight was the staff - so accommodating and friendly. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location to see Carcassonne. Wonderful pool, too. The staff is excellent from check in to when you leave.
Staff were excellent
The location to Cite is perfect---just across the parking lot. The parking offered by the hotel is also convenient and safe. They were very helpful in making reservations for one of the Putelat restaurants, which was an excellent experience.
The property was well taken care of, the staff was excellent, the location was superb.
Absolute Stay MUST - Location, Clean, Staff
Amazing location, very comfortable bed, clean, fantastic staff, professional, and absolutely stay MUST
200 yards to gates of old city.
This modern clean well designed and comfortable property was extremely close to the old city. Parking was alongside. Bed was very comfortable with all mod cons. Highly recommended.
Great location
Last minute decision for a couple of nights in Carcassonne - the hotel is right next to the main gate to the walled town.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel, very stylishly decorated. The room we were in (9) was quite small, however. Additionally, I had an issue with the hair dryers (I tried two) that kept overheating almost immediately. Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel based on its excellent location.
Staff, nice breakfast though not worth €18. The room was very warm even with the air conditioning on.
Boutique hotel in excellent location. Reception staff were professional and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Rooms are individually decorated and most have views of the nearby castle. Unfortunately our allocated room was on the ground floor with terrace but without any view and located near the service/maintenance areas. Room size was adequate but floor was uncarpeted and cold. Bathroom design difficult with no storage space.
Can't beat the location, but too design-focused?
In planning, I did not appreciate how close this hotel was to the old walled town. It is across the road from one of the main gates (and you dont have to walk up a hill for this gate!). There is a lovely picturesque cemetery acros the road to which makes for a very scenic view. Private parking is out the back (although you still have to go through public carpark to get into it). The poo, looked very inviting but I just didnt have the time to use. This hotel is very modern and art-y, but rooms were small and strangely designed. As I have experienced elsewhere in France, the toilet is at the front entry (in a small room), then you have to walk across the bedroom to get to the sink to wash your hands. A bath sat about 1.5 metres fom the bed. There diidnt really feel like any room to open my suitcase. There was a lovely private outdoor area where one could sit outside, but the chairs looked pretty uncomfortable (I didnt have the time to really try them though). Main thing was there was apparently no access to food in this hotel. You could make a booking for Franck's restaurant in town, but there was no room service, no ice machine, no minibar food. They did give you a lovely baked good on check in - that was my dinner. Maybe if I had a bit more time and had planned a bit better, I would have enjoyed this hotel more.
Best way to discover Carcassonne
Best way to discover Carcassonne. Near the gate, quiet and great patio/pool area.
Perfect Location, Great Stay
Fantastic location right across from the main gate of the medieval city walls. Easy access from airport as the shuttle bus stops almost right outside. Check in was very smooth and the receptionist made sure we had plenty of information about the city and answered all our questions - the staff were uniformly great throughout. We had a small but beautiful room with a great shower on the first floor, giving direct access out to a decked terrace with sunloungers and a short walk to the pool. This is a great place to unwind and relax, being at the rear of the hotel and sheltered from the hubbub in front. Steps lead to a meadow where you can get unimpeded views of the city walls. The hotel photos really don't do it justice. We booked ourselves a table at Franck Putelat's restaurant which is thoroughly recommended. Not cheap but definitely an experience not to be missed. It was my wife's birthday and they brought out a little surprise birthday cake for her which really made her evening. A great little hotel in the perfect location. I really can't fault it.
Absolutely fabulous
A few minutes from Carcassonne old city. 20 mins from Frank Putelat 2star restaurant. Fabulous rooms, food and service.
The location is hard to beat and the grounds in the back are lovely and quiet with a nice pool. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The decor in the hotel was dated with purple, yellow and black predominant in the rooms. The hall carpet is a disturbing black and white spotted pattern with red accents on the steps. It could definitely use a decorative update. Our main complaint is that the room was not very clean, especially the carpet, floors and the shower. They didn’t change the towels or do any cleanup other than making the bed. I would give the hotel 3.5 stars.
Hotel with good location
Overall I was disappointed with the experience. The room was only cleaned once during our 3 night stay. Supplies such as water, toilet rolls and toiletries were not replenished during our stay. There was no fridge. The room itself was on the small side and lighting dark, partially due to two light fittings being missing
Perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Carcassone
This was the perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Carcassonne. The rooms were beautiful, our room opened up onto a really nice patio, and we were literally right across the street from the past. If you’re going to visit Carcassonne, this is the best hotel in the area do you stay at.
Go for the location, stay for the helpful staff!
We loved the location of the hotel, and the staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The space is ultra-hip and cool and comfortable. It can feel a wee bit "precious," though, e.g., the sink and shower are sleek and gorgeous, but it's not really conducive to having room to put personal items; the isolated toilet is in a private closet, but it's 14 steps away from the sink. Still, for the location -- steps from the Narbonne Gate, which means you have all the conveniences with none of the tourist frenzy -- and the incredibly helpful staff made this a winner all around.
Very nice hotel in a great location
Very nice hotel in a great location just outside the gate to medieval city. Room was very nice. We had a jacuzzi but it was not that warm but this was due to the cold weather. Service was very good. Our only complaint was the room cleaning which did not happen on our first day and we interrupted cleaning on 2nd day at 16:00 having been out since 11:00. We had to ask for clean towels.
Nice friendly hotel close to La Cite
very friendly staff and efficient. The hotel is well placed to visit Carcassonne castle which is why we stayed there. The view from the hotel is wonderful. Carcassonne is the centre of the Cathar region and there are plenty of historical sites and Abbeys to visit . Narbonne is a must to see.
Excellent hotel in a great location
We had an excellent three days in Carcassone. The hotel was very convenient for visiting the Cite. All the staff were very helpful. The only negative was the lack of storage space for clothes in our room.
Stellar hotel experience
Used Pont Levi's Hotel for family visit to Carcassonne. Hotel is beautiful, staff couldn't be more helpful and location right at gate to the castle was the best. Perfect in every way
Magnificent hotel
truly a magnificent hotel From the moment I checked in service was excellent They explained the parking and escorted me from the lot They asked what time I'd like my room cleaned so as not to be intrusive The location was excellent right across the street from the castle The breakfast food was fresh and delicious The bed very comfortable and it wasn't just quiet , It was silent Truly a beautiful stay
Lovely hotel very near Carcassonne
Lovely small hotel in an excellent position to visit Carcassonne. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent location & Exceptional Hotel & Staff
Hotel 50 yards from Citie de Carcassonne. Modern & contemporary hotel, very clean and well designed with extremely comfortable beds. We were very kindly upgraded to a superior room by the Hotel Manageress, which was great even though we were very happy with the room we slept in the first night. A real bonus and much appreciated. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great outdoor pool with stunning view all around the hotel. Very pleasant areas to sit around the hotel, or wander onto the 2 acre heathland at the back of the hotel with direct views across to the stunning walled city of Carcassonne. Delicious buffet breakfast with a good selection of local products. Although this is a boutique hotel on two levels, there was a handy lift useful for anyone with suitcases, or limited mobility. One of our most relaxing breaks (Monday to Friday) we've had in a long time. Evening meals could be taken at the hotel's Bistro or 2 star Mitchelin restaurant in town, however, we found the proximity to the many restaurants within the walled city so convenient being only a stride away. The hotel is only a 10 minute taxi ride from Carcassonne Airport which was perfect! We'd love to return to this hotel and have already told family and friends about our lovely holiday there.
No tissues, no charging point for electric razor, tooth brush, air condition light in room is impossing ,kites up room wrong position, no tea making facilities, needs a fridge.
great location, very friendly people
Very good location, walking 3 min to the walled city with lots of restaurants and cafés. We only had problems when arriving at a hot day and a/c was not on, only the heat. Even after complaining it was not working, luckily the weather got much cooler and this was no longer an issue. Breakfast was good, unfortunately they give you only one free bottle of water for two the first night.
perfect spot
ideal for old medieval city just across from main gates
Great hotel 50metres from the old city
Great hotel, the team are very happy to assist with anything you need. They even rang to check prices for a taxi for us. Provided a good overview of the sights things to do and places to eat and all the recommendations were perfect. The facilities are bright modern and clean. The garden and pool area are a huge bonus as is the hill behind the hotel to give you a great view of the city.
Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities.
Excellent hotel with no complaints. Very quiet situation with the old city just around the corner.
Oh so chic
An extremely stylish hotel with very attentive and helpful staff. We will be back!
Don't be fooled by the exterior of this little gem
A surprisingly nice hotel. So close to the Cite but so quiet at the back of the hotel, nice gardens, nice pool and overall a clean hotel. I would definitely go back for another stay. Breakfast was a touch expensive at 20 euro's per head, but ample restaurants exist in the Cite if you wish for a cheaper breakfast. We found all the staff great to deal with and they were very attentive.
Great location, really comfortable beds
Great location, right beside the medieval city. Decor wouldn't be to my taste but it's very clean and the beds are so comfortable!
lovely hotel, great location but quite expensive
A special stay
Highly recommend this property! A beautiful oasis but still close to the action if you have a car! Treat yourself to a memorable place
Very good location with nice modern rooms
Excellent location on the doorstep of the Old Cite which is preferable than being inside if you have a car. Had to pay for car parking however, plus an extortionate amount for breakfast (think it was 20EUR pp per day) which added a significant amount on to the overall bill for our 3 day stay. Got smart on the last day and went in to the Cite for breakfast (2 min walk) and paid about 6 EUR each instead. Excellent service and cosy clean modern rooms together with the location make this otherwise a great hotel.
Perfect spot for the medieval city
Fantastic breakfast! Comfortable room, wonderful city.
Carcassonne City Break
Beautiful hotel situated right outside one of the gates to the old city. Really friendly, helpful staff. Ideal for a short break in Carcassonne.
Can't Say Enough Good Things!
Simply spectacular!! The service exceeded expectations. Upon check-in, you are escorted to your room by the reception worker. Soon after leaving us, our phone rang. She was calling to let us know she had requested Engineering look at our A/C, it didn't seem to work properly to her. Almost immediately, a tech was at our door and made necessary adjustments to ensure our comfort. We hadn't had a chance to realize it wasn't working properly, but she did. Impressive!! Nothing was left undone. Property offers everything. Views are spectacular. Food was wonderful, especially the extensive breakfast buffet with special orders included. Rooms were large, roomy and well appointed. Our stay was not long enough to enjoy all of the amenities, but we hope to return for a longer visit!!
Restaurant
The Hotel was very welcoming and comfortable however, I would expect a four star Hotel to have a restaurant not just a breakfast room
Perfect location!
This hotel was everythig we expected. The service was great starting right after we booked. It was so nice to get a direct email from the hotel staff. And when we arrived, they knew who we were, and they were so kind to us - with all the questins we had about the area. The hotel is very nice, clean, and quiet - and has an amazing location right across from and about a two minute walk to the mid-evil castle! The back of the hotel is a nice garden, and open area that is perfect for taking pictures of the castle as well. We highly recommend it - a wonderful place!!
Very good choice
Great location, very clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent service, very good breakfast but a little pricey. Will definitely stay at this hotel during our next visit to Carcassonne
Within very easy walking distance of Carcassonne
A very modern hotel, with excellent amenities and service. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Close to medieval city
Excellent 3 night stay. Good breakfast and plenty of variety. Staff very attentive.
Super rooms on the main level
pool access is great. So convenient to everything you need to do: Tour, dinner, sightseeing and relaxing.
Just the spot for a visit to Carcassonne...
A relatively new boutique hotel, Pont Levis is outside, but right beside, the main entrance gate to Carcassonne old city.Own car park and a big public carpark at the door. Staff could not have been more helpful, the room of modern style, and access out onto a huge sunning veranda. Breakfast was best we had in France..scrambled eggs with truffle oil etc. Not cheap, but great value for the money. Loved it.
Dream place at thefoot of the wall
Perfect location, perfect rooms. Exemplary on allfronts. The hotel offers a magnificent view of the fortified city fromthei private hll. Breakfast is superb. Staff and owners are a model of professionalism
Comfortable hotel close to the Cite
Slightly quirky hotel recently refurbished by a designer with vivid (over) imagination but, nevertheless, very comfortable, clean and well-equipped.
Wonderful hotel in a fabulous place.
We visited Carcassonne for a 4 day holiday and the Pont Levis hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything was excellent; location - just outside the Porte Narbonnais; style - sophisticated and luxurious; staff - friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble to make our stay perfect; breakfast - gourmet, the owner obviously took great pride in the range and quality of food on offer, and the home made pate de foie gras was the most delicious I have ever tasted. Our room opened on to a private patio area which led on to a pleasant garden and then rolling fields and a vineyard from which there were views to the Pyrenees, the Black Mountain and the Cité. We slept with the windows open and the only sound was the dawn chorus of the local birds. It was delightful and top value for money!
M&D
Situated directly outside the Carcassonne Old Cite, this hotel is well positioned and well appointed. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room we had was modern and big.
Excellent location
This hotel is very well located across the road form the main entrance to the medieval city of Carcassonne. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and has a very nice garden at the back. The bedroom was nice but did not have the Jacuzzi bath contained in the room description - only a shower. Greater care should be taken regarding the online room description so as not to mislead guests.
Small and charming
Excellent .... Don't be put off with its position adjacent to public car park because rooms face away ... And it must be the closest hotel to the castle entrance. Lovely grounds and staff could not be more helpful! Rooms quite small and very modern decor .. Everything you need.
great service
The intimate atmosphere and personal service were excellent. Breakfast was expensive for what we got and the charge for uncovered parking was excessive compared to adjacent public parking.
wonderfull hotel in wonderfull city!!!
Very modern and nice hotel y the middle of 1200 bc.

Un instant suspendu
Un vrai moment de détente et de calme, nous avons pu profiter du service en chambre (petit déjeuner copieux et de belle qualité) et du jacuzzi. La cité est à deux pas.
Trevligt litet hotel i centralt läge.
Mycket trevligt hotel.
Perfect location close to the gates of the walled city. Easy parking once the system is explained. Enter the public car park gates at the front of hotel, park and walk to reception where the correct tickets can be obtained for parking. 15€ per night charge. Rooms are immaculate and have a small fridge and pod coffee machine. Decor is excellent and has deck access to most rooms. Good if you smoke, not if you don’t. Reception was efficient and polite. Note the bath had a hand held shower with no facility for hands free use. The drinks and breakfast are overpriced and underwhelming when there are bars and cafes just inside the walls. Definitely worth the stay except for the shower.
