Inconvenient and not very comfortable
Room was in an annex building that had no reception, no hot water or drinks facilities. Mattress was lumpy.
I had a good one-night stay at this hotel. I was attending a conference nearby, and it was perfect for that purpose. Canary Wharf is a good area for transport connections and restaurants. I will say it was a little tricky to find the hotel, but that's not their fault!! Small room, but you get what you pay for. Bed was very comfortable, and the whole place was spotless. Very good wifi too, far above average for a hotel in my experience. Lovely staff at check-in, as well. A couple of small niggles: the TV had a lot of interference for some reason, and it took a long time for hot water to come through the shower. Also, there was also quite a bit of noise from the corridor at times; when the person in the next room opened their door I thought they were coming into mine! Nothing serious, though, all very manageable. I'd probably choose somewhere else for a longer stay, frankly, but for a short visit it was excellent overall.
There wasnt great selection of food no kettle in rooms 2 make tea or coffee. Staff were very helpful. Alison
Hotel has a weird separate building that hosts some of the rooms. Great location, basic but clean. Comfortable bed and decent shower.
Very helpful staff. Very comfortable and convenient room especially if you are traveling solo. Good spot.
Building work in progress but other than that clean and convenient.
The hotel is spread across two separate buildings about 30 seconds walk apart. Service from reception was excellent and the small problems were quickly rectified.
Affordable, clean, modern, comfortable and friendly. Plenty of eating and drinking options and close to DLR and Elizabeth line.
Staff really helpful and friendly
Budget option in great location
Stay after a night at the o2. Budget option when just a bed was needed. Helpful staff on check in. Great location near Canary Wharf’s bars and restaurants. Weatherspoons did a great breakfast. Short tube or boat to o2 and the sights. Room was small and basic but ok for 1 night
Price reflects the quality
Uncomfortable beds, only one pillow, pretty noisy by the road, shower head doesn’t move and temperature didn’t change in the shower. Get what you pay for I guess!
The staff were amazing and so helpful. The room next door decided to be extra noisy during the night and reception came up and immediately told them to keep the noise down. Really great hotel
You get what you paid for and I mean this in the most positive way, I only wanted to stay for 1 night in a hotel that was nice but I didn't need extras and it was exactly what I wanted/needed
Highly Recommend
Welcoming, helpful staff. Great location. Room was clean and serviced again after 3 days which was really nice. Honestly 10/10 we will be using this Hotel again.
Ideal location if you are going to O2 arena for event and on doorstep for canary Warf shopping. 5 min walk to Jubilee line and a Wetherspoons is on the corner (30 second walk) great little hotel for the price. Staff friendly (24 hrs).
Very small room
Room was clean but very very small. No room at bedside. Bedside storage on one side only. Can to climb over sleeping husband to access bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities in reception which was a pain. Reception very helpful. Matress comfortable but only 1 pillow each. Staff were very helpful.
Good option for a short stay
Very close to canary wharf
Quirky, clean, functional room. Only down side was the noise of the wate water pipes above the ceiling. Sounded like broken plumbing and reported to reception for them to investigate on our check out.
It was like staying in a building site. Entry to hotel was difficult to see due to the fencing outside. Only one side of the entry door was open. Reception was more like a pop up. Stayed on 2nd floor. Half of the floor closed. Door sealed with padlock. Floor covered with a protective cover. Room was good. Just note rooms are not soundproof. I could hear everything that was going on in the next room
About 10 min walk to Canary Wharf
Great staff
This toom is tiny, but other than that it was great. Close to 2 underground stations and a huge mall. The staff is the most welcoming snd helpful ever. They gave us a european adapter plug when we couldn't find ours. Free drinks and lots of help with directions, too. Thanks Meury, Karim, and Cesar. If you just need a place sleep while you visit London, this is a great place.
Great stay
Great location, short walk to Canary Wharf station. Staff helpful and friendly. Only grumble is there was no hand towel.
Simple
Good if the bin had been emptied
Small compact room. Would have been good if there was a kettle in the room. However was a bit grossed out to see that the bin in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied.
My review on Canary Wharf hotel!
I had a fabulous stay at this hotel ! Even though I stayed for only a day , it was very clean and comfortable in my room. When I had checked in , the staff were very polite. There was air conditioning in our room ,and we did have to wait a few minutes for it to spread warmth all around our room , but it was so worth it after I got into bed after a long day of London . The bathroom was also very nice and clean and was supplied with towels and soap.Overall,I would 100% come here again and would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to stay.
Great little hotel
Easy to find. Very cute rooms that gave me all I needed. Very clean and comfortable. The walls are thin so I could hear noisy neighbours chatting early in the morning, but it is a budget hotel, so I didn’t mind. I would definitely use again.
Clean , had what’s needed for a nights stay . No fluffy stuff but did have what needed
Basic room for a night.
It was really convenient for what I needed but there was only a heater over the door, no radiator, to heat the room whic h took awhile. Also with the floor being laminate made the room cold too, but not as bad as the with no heat3i73
Stayed for 2 nights and it’s good for what you pay for. Had a slight technical problem with the key cards but was sorted very quickly.
Good staff and clean rooms
I stayed one night and staff where really helpfully at all times and hotel was located I. Easy to access place for trains. Room was small but tidy and met all my needs. Great hotel for price
They don't serve food. But. You can. By hotdrink
Amazing
Always the best thing here the staff are lovely. The rooms are always nice and it’s a good budget hotel
Limpiesa
Inside the hotel was clean and the room was well kept. However, they have 2 buildings, the main one that i stayed in is not the address on expedia. So i got to building 2 and was told to turn back. I actually passed building 1 but its being worked on/repair so i didn't realized it. That information should have been displayed so customers can make a more informed decisions. Only when you get to the room, you see a notification about the inconvenience of the hotel being worked on. Additionally, there's no wash cloth or hand towel in the bathroom. When i requested wash cloths they brought 2 regular bath towels to me saying they have no wash rags. No lotion is at the hotel either. Only thing you get is a vegan 3 in 1 liquid soap and tissues. Again, that information needed to be on display so visitors can plan properly.
Very different to find the location, especially when it’s dark. The hotel sign is not noticeable. The room is tiny, though the bathroom is reasonably sized. There’s no room to completely open the suitcase. Staff is friendly. Great location!
The reception staff was amazing and the room was clean. Everything worked fine in the room
Great location and ideal for an overnight stay
A lovely hotel in an ideal location near Canary Wharf station. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Room was compact but perfect for an overnight stay in London. The room was clean and bed was very comfy. A weatherspoons in a 2 minute walk and a quiet location within Canary Wharf.
Amazing service and value for money
Really friendly and helpful staff, couldn’t have been nicer. Spotless room and excellent value for money. Have stayed here a few times now and highly recommend.
Wouldnt recommend
The room in the 1st night was tiny. You could hear everytime rooms above showered/flushed the chain so we did not sleep well. We requested to move rooms on the 2nd day which they did and the 2nd room was better.
Great staff, great hotel.
Karim, Jennifer and Olivia were wonderful. They are all a credit to Point A. Our room was glbigger than expected. I requested a room in a quiet place before we arrived and this was granted before we arrived which put my mind at rest. The room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom immaculate. My only gripe was that the pillows were rock hard. Otherwise, perfect for our stay. The location was amazing too. Just a couple of minutes walk from the elizabeth line, and wetherspoons 20 seconds away.
Very small rooms, limited amenities and facilities
Excellent stay
It was a very good stay, the room was clean and very futuristic. It’s definitely a different hotel with interesting features, really enjoyed the different colourful lights in the room
Very good hotel ,very good location in canary wharf also next door to a breakfasts diner .
Wouldn’t stay again
The reception is not in same building to my room and my room was by front door and people were in and out all through the night banging the door. No drinks in room
An excellent location in the heart of Canary Wharf. Building work going on outside and hoardings make the outside unattractive. Inside the staff were polite and welcoming and check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, the beds comfy and fluffy huge bath towels and a spotless shower were put to good use. No breakfast available, but we knew that when booked and there’s loads of nearby offerings. Overall a really good stay and a really good price.
Guest Safety & Management Excellence
Rating: 5/5 stars Hotel Manager Florin demonstrated exceptional professionalism in handling guest concerns. His prompt attention, clear communication, and focus on guest safety show outstanding leadership. Based on this level of management and customer care, I would definitely recommend Point A Hotel Canary Wharf to other travelers.
Lovely little place
It was really good enjoyed it ok only thing I did not like was no storage but would still stay there again
Incredible customer service, great rooms for the price. Not far from public transit
Clean rooms but very compact. It was tight for 2 people.
Lovely staff. Very friendly. No bedside socket / phone charger near window side bed. Also no table or ledge at that side. No tea / coffee facilities although available at reception which we hadn’t checked on before booking. But v convenient, clean & comfortable beds.
Convenient
I was very happy with my room. The room was clean, modern and well thought out. It was small but this was expected and I was happy with the size. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no kettle or coffee in the room for the morning. There is coffee at reception which was in a different building - so I ended up checking out and getting coffee elsewhere.

Very nice hotel situated in Canary Wharfe just a few minutes from several train stations (can get anywhere in London quickly) and lots of nearby restaurants but is in a quiet area, no noise during the night. Hotel is ultra-modern with digital thermostat, LED colour light control, safe and Freeview TV facilities. Bed a little firm but this is personal preference. Would stay again!
I have stayed here numerous times, but this Weds night will be the last. The room I was allocated is not safe or relaxing/restful for solo stay and additionally concerning being a solo female traveller. I arrived late in the day, and the only room left was room 502 (I think) next to front door in a separate building to the main one. There is no reception in that building, just a room pass key to access the main door. Late into the night, you can hear people coming & going. Group of men (post several drinks) being very loud in the corridor outside my room. At one point, someone was banging very loudly and persistently on the front door. I felt very unsafe. I hardly slept all night and was on edge, I got up early and got out of there. The room was very cold as when the front main door was opened a blast of cold air would come under the door. I had to put a towel along the bottom of my room door. Being generous with 2 stars as the room was generally clean and reception staff friendly.
Great weekend away
Really good price, nice location and room was spot on, ideal for a weekend away in london on a budget
Paper thin walls, unhelpful staff
Paper thin walls, could hear the quietest of conversations like they’re in the room. V unhelpful staff who couldn’t give me a vat receipt for my stay
The property was nice and all the staff was friendly and welcoming all the hours of the day and night. Pretty convenient to have 24/7 reception. There was some reconstruction next to the hotel that during the day made noise and dust.
Building work was taking place. If I'd been informed I would have changed my booking. Hotel basic with no breakfast, lunch or dinner opportunities. Rooms clean but very compact.
Should consider guests needs
I asked for a room with window as I told the staff I like to have a slightly open window at night for fresh air. I had to pay an upgrade charge. Got woken up at 4am by builders dumping concrete on skip right outside the building so I had to close the window. No refund of upgrade offered. Also no drinking water in rooms. None of the special lighting worked.
Kettle in room would be benefcial
We had a problem with our toilet but the staff were able to fix the problem promptly.
Not great
Hotel had building work being carried out, I was not informed about this in a email or when booking the hotel. The room was ok but no tea or coffee making, no wardrobe for my clothes just coat hangers.
Point A hotel
The hotel was very clean the room was not a bad size bathroom was to small and there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Good location
The staff is very friendly and always open to help you, the only problem I had is that the shower was dirty
Dripping noise stopped sleep
Unfortunately there was a dripping noise behind a locked cupboard door which made sleep very difficult. The next day I was moved to another room and was told I would be emailed by the manager. I have waited a month before leaving this review to give the manager time to email me but as yet have not received any email.
Friendly helpful staff nothing was too much trouble especially fouad. Would definitely stay there again.
Wost stay ever!
Worst experience ever. Hotel room tiny, tiny cabin window. Dirty looking shower floor. One pillow each. Thin walls. Room next to front door, loud closing contiuned untill early hours, had to leave. Receptionist questioned my complaints sceptically. Will not be back, or recommend, please avoid!
Nice budget hotel and great area
Hotel room was tiny, but worked for me and my trip. There is construction going on around the property so at 8am on Monday morning there is noise you can hear from the room.
Easy to get to, near multiple tube lines, perfect for the o2
Very good
I was given a noisy room.
Great staff, lovely room with nice bathroom. Only thing was construction on the building creating a lot of noise. Also the towels weren’t completely clean and covered in hair.
Not a great first impression… they charge you for holding your bags. First time I’ve ever encountered this. They will also charge for any early check in. There is also currently construction going on around the hotel so I had to move rooms due to the noise. Other than that, a nice place to stay, friendly staff, good location.
Really comfortable hotel, room was really nice, clean and provided everything i needed for the stay.
The hotel is in a great location. It is ideal for a short stay, the rooms are small but they are clean and rhe beds are comfy. Would definitely use again.
The room was extremely small & tight. It was challenging to get to the second bed with only a foot between the end of the 1st bed and the wall. We had to ask for hand towels and washcloths as they were not supplied. There was no storage to unpack. Everything cost extra. There was also construction being done on the building which we were not notified prior to booking.
Very good.
The staff was great, room was perfect.
Tiny little hole-in-the-wall...barely room for 2 people!! Staff were great, but that's about all that recommends the place..we had construction going on next door, for hotel expansion Eco-friendly .... they are doing well, I think. Very, very expensive for what you get - no fridge or coffee maker - no closet, no room for big suitcases, barely room to get in both sides of bed(a squeeze) Can't in good conscience recommend this hotel - smaller than most hostels I've recently stayed in.
Very good all around
Nice budget hotel, not the best location
This is a nice, budget hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was small but clean and the beds were really comfortable. The issue for me is the location, it doesn’t feel very safe coming back later at night (not super late, but post-theatre for example). It’s very dark, the street lighting is terrible and you can’t get off at the closest DLR station - there is no platform, you need to get off at Westferry, which feels a bit dodgy. It is close to the pier, so you can get Uber boats, but again the walk back to the hotel at night feels unsafe.
The Personal is the best!!!! The only thing that I would like to be better is the space, other than that is great
Staffs were very friendly. Very convenient location, close to train station.
Very clean room, location is close to transportation, restaurants and shopping
The shower is not very good and the bathroom developed a smell from the drains on the second day
Citi
I was on a company function and the hotel was 7mins from work and 13mins from venue, was ideal spotlessly clean and lovely staff and reasonably priced I thought I shall definitely be staying again
It’s really clean, small but nice 👍
Overpriced tiny rooms
Hotel is grossly overpriced as for what they offer. To begin with reception, friendly but lack flexibility. I got the worst room, next to corridor door that everyone was constantly passing through and could be heard even with TV on and while taking shower, which kept giving me impression that someone was trying to enter my room. Hotel is close to DLR station and trains can be heard from the rooms. I could hear someone's alarm in the morning, someone in room next to me. Rooms are tiny and there is no coffee or tea making facilities as they want to charge you on top for pleasure of going down to reception and paying for each hot drink that there is no space to place anywhere in the room as mini holders next to bed were broken. There is only one socket and 2 usb entries, but at the opposite site of the room, which means that you cannot charge and use your phone in bed. Door in the bathroom shower opens weirdly that forces to bump into sink. Facilities are new and more or less ok apart from previous points, but I wouldn't say there is any value for money and would prefer other places if had a choice.
This hotel is aimed towards the solo business person. The room is small, and it is just a room. There is no mini fridge or coffee maker. If all you need is a place to sleep, this will do the job. If you want something more in tune with a vacation type of experience, I would look somewhere else. (3/5) The bathroom is small and the shower can only fit one person at a time. The air conditioner and hot water worked great. One complaint I have is that the sink water smelled horrible, like fish. We stayed over a week and the smell never went away. I also found myself very annoyed with not being able to keep any drinks cold. There wasn’t even anywhere to get ice, and even if there was, based on the sink smell, I wouldn’t have trusted it. The hotel is weirdly split into two buildings. They are fairly close to one another, but far enough to make ordering Uber a little inconvenient. We had no problem sleeping, the bed was nice, and the tv worked well. Overall, the room was good enough to sleep in, but uncomfortable to stay in. This didn’t affect us much since most of the time we were exploring the city.
No privacy!!
We weren’t expecting anything luxury but unfortunately we could hear everything another room was saying and doing through a vent in our room. The member of staff who we spoke to about this was not very helpful and we would definitely not return. Being able to hear all conversations and everything this couple was doing in their bedroom was not ok!!
Stay was good, didn’t know about the maintenance however which was quite noisy early morning. If we had known we may have booked elsewhere! Close to the underground though.

Perfect for a quick stop, dmall room but well appo
The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The room albeit small was well appointed and perfect for a quick stay. Incredibly close to canary wharf only 5 min walk. The bathroom was clean and in good order. The bed was clean and comfortable. All in all good value and would stay again
