Great location! Close enough to subway but at a good distance from Times Square where you are not near all the craziness! Staff was nice and they store your bags after check out if you’re like me and want to continue exploring the city before your flight.

Convenient location

Good location & easy walk to the Javitts center, but the bed was extremely firm. Good quiet bar, but no food service in the hotel. Price was on par for the small room. If you just need a bed & bath without all the frills, then this is a good deal.

Tried the Pod for a 2night stay for Broadway shows. 42nd and 9th feel very unsafe walking back from theatre after the show. Overall would pay more to be right in theatre area. Traveled with my teenage daughter and felt very unsafe after dark. We stayed in the bunk bed room for fun. Room very nice, super small but that was fine. Beds hard as a rock haha. Wouldn’t do that again. Overall Pod property is nice, just the area wasn’t ideal. Wonderful staff.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this hotel left me with no choice. Cleanliness is a basic expectation from any hotel, and unfortunately, this property fell far short. Upon entering my room, I found a long hair on the bed, followed by more hairs on a towel, in the shower drain, and on the bathroom floor. It was evident that the shower hadn’t been cleaned properly after multiple guests. Given the late hour, I cleaned up the mess myself and decided to bring it up with the manager during checkout. However, instead of an apology or any acknowledgment of the issue, he repeatedly stated that I should have informed them sooner so they could swap the sheets and towels. His demeanor was dismissive and lacked empathy, as if their failure to maintain cleanliness was somehow my fault for not reporting it immediately. I pay to stay in a clean and hygienic room, and it is the responsibility of the hotel staff to ensure this standard is met. The way the manager handled my concern only worsened an already disappointing experience. I felt unheard, disrespected, and completely let down. I will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness or respectful customer service.

I’ve gone here twice now and each time has been excellent. I’m a simple man, usually staying for a night or two, and really don’t need much more than a bed and shower, and they got it! Plus, everyone is super friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a simple space, near everything and for a good price, Pod it up!

Small room but extremely clean. Comfortable beds, spacious shower with plenty of hot water, great for heating up after been out in the cold all day. Never heard any sound from outside the room. Had coffee and breakfast in hotel one morning which was very nice. So central to the port authority so access to all the subways and a 5 minute walk to Times Square. I would recommend and would stay again.

I stayed in December 2024 with a last-minute reservation. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. I got to the hotel a bit early, but front lady let me check in early. The price was super high for such a small room, but that’s on me. I probably would have gotten a better rate if I booked in advance.

I have stayed here at the Pod Hotels Time Square and every time it is perfect. It is comfy and affordable and it’s my budget especially considering we were going to a city where we were not spending extensive time in our hotel room. Even thought that is the case for many others their rooms are still always clean and perfect and staff welcoming, helpful, and inviting. I will always recommend.

A very convienient location for seeing broadway shows, with great staff. I've stayed here multiple times and plan on returning in the future.

We had a great experience at Pod time

The hotel is near Times Square by foot and there are a pot of restaurants nearby. On the website, it says there is a restaurant in the hotel, but it is closed. You can also hear traffic, but the hotel is quiet.

The staff here were friendly. The bar / seating area was large and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping comes daily to tidy up and change out towels. We definitely enjoyed our stay here!

Good location near subway and attractions. On-site bar was convenient for breakfast and there are many other good options a short walk away. Elevators were fast so it was easy to come and go. Room was showing its age a bit - loud fan, shower door sticking.

Staff was great, location is incredibly convenient, rooms were beautiful as well as the view. Our air conditioning didn’t work that well.

We had someone smoking pot near us and the smell kept seeping into the room. We had an engineer come and spray but that was only temporary relief. P.S. This review keeps bouncing back for a revision. I've resent it 4 times already. It's not going to change. What's the problem?

Wonderful stay at Pod Times Square

We enjoyed our stay at Pod Times square. The location is superb. There is a working breakfast for those who wants to grab a quick one. The front desk id very helpful. Overall a great stay!!!

Close to bus station and time square

I had a great time—no complaints, no problems. Everything was clean, and everything worked perfectly. I highly recommend it as an option.

Excellent & Efficient

This was our first time staying at a Pod Hotel and it won't be the last. The entire experience was seamless and the hotel was so modern and efficient. It had every thing that we needed, including an exceptional view of the Empire State Building. We will definitely be back.

Super clean pod for mother-daughter trip.

My college-aged daughter and I love this Pod set up. We each have our own personal space with the bunks. When we are in NYC, we don’t spend much time in the room except to sleep so this is a great set up for us. The hotel has always been exceptionally clean and the staff is friendly. I appreciate all of the charging options in each bunk as I have several things that need to be plugged in at night. Staying in the bunk pod is a different mindset but it really works for my daughter and I for our NYC weekends. Love the easy access to 42nd street station and so many restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

We were initially surprised by the tiny size of our bunk bed pod, but it ended up being perfect for what we needed. The price was unbeatable, and the room had everything we needed, including clever space-saving furnishings like a small bedside phone charger/reading light/storage nook for each person. It was very clean and new looking, and the staff were all great. They even have an app with activities and recommendations for guests of Pod hotels.

I loved staying here, i will stay again.

Not a problem checking in i did pay for a double and got a single But it worked out dont know if theres a reimbursement for that small and tidy do recommend for any one..

Room cleaning was sporadic at best. During a seven night stay the room was cleaned four times. The last time I had to ask twice to have it cleaned. One day I had to bring all trash down to the front desk for disposal. Twice I had to ask for clean towels. I was told they had staff issues once when I asked for the room to be cleaned.

Customer servicies terrible

An easy location with access to subway transportation within a 1.5 blocks in a safe neighborhood. The rooms are small, clean, and efficient, but may not work well for non-couples, as the bathroom layout does not offer much privacy. It’s a brisk 10 min walk to Times Square, or 5 min to the Port Authority bus station. If one is looking for an economic choice, it’s a great option.

Pod 42nd Street

I had stayed at a Pod before at another location, so I knew the rooms were small. I wish the little reading lights over the bed had worked so I could read w/o getting up to turn off lights. Also the bathroom light turns on automatically so that woke me up when my BF had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Also no facial tissue. On the website the hotel says it has a restaurant (Serrafina), but we found out it’s closed. They should disclose this on the website. Also, upon arrival , I was charged substantially more than what hotels.com stated on their site. It’s a nice hotel but I’m not going to return because it’s super expensive & overpriced for the value.

Good for its price: tiny, short proximity to public transportation, rooftop was closed in December, which we didn’t like. Would return if needed to stay for a short period of time

Acceptable place to stay. The bunk beds are comfy. The bathroom was clean. I felt cozy in my room. Two demerits: 1- building as a whole is dusty. 2- Middle of the night fire alarm was extremely unsettling, and the staff was cavalier when I asked for clarification on what was happening. I would stay there again if I needed to.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to Times Square and not spend a fortune. The staff was very friendly. We especially loved the bartender, Mya! Our rooms were clean. A little small, but we kind of expected that. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying there!

It’s very cold in the room and the AC wasn’t able to reach the set temperature. The staff were very nice and gave us extra blankets, but the cold room temperature is kinda unbearable when we were not in bed hiding under two layers of blanket. The area is very convenient, the room is overall clean. Maybe it’ll be a better choice of stay during summer time.

Love the pod at Times Square!

We had everything we needed here from great service, cute cafe and lounge, concierge for ride to the airport, great proximity to lots of our planned activities, we couldn’t ask for more!

Location was great! Hallways, doors (both sides) could use a serious cleaning! Door to bathroom slid open at every use. Bed was comfortable and for a busy area the noise was very minimal from traffic!

Was easy to get to, good vibes, clean, tiny as expected but did the job.

The price was reasonable for the convenience of the location. And it was surprisingly quiet. I was early but they checked me in.

Liked the convenience, the relative price, the attentive staff and cleaning woman. Did not like: could not get into the bed from both sides.

Room was comfy and it had everything you could need. Cable tv was great. Full channel line up. It was very quiet and you can have a really good night sleep. I will stay at this hotel in the future. No complaints. They also did room service every day. Great experience.

Would stay at the Pod Timesquare again. Clean, quiet, close to bagels and train. Beautiful view over the city and even Hudson in the back. Bar on site. Towels and sheets crisp clean. Highly recommend.
