GOOD HOTEL FOR A BUSINESS TRIP
Comfort hotel
Was good and the house keeping staff called Musa was super helpful and kind to us me and my fiancee for sure I recommend
Very good services
The front desk Indian receptionist guy was very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful .
Everything is good
The Hotel is very good overall. You get what you pay for. I would stay here again due to the fact that the workers there are outgoing and yes the water pressure may not be too strong or hot but it’s still very good overall. As I said you get what you pay for.
Ffg
Needs updating
Very rude staff specially the reception team.No hot water for showers. This property should be 2 stars not 4 star as everything is very dated.we had 3 rooms we would never recommend to any guests.
Very good hotel
Thank you Mohamad ( I hope I got the name. Right) thank you for being au h a great help
The personal staff was polite and efficient. The only bad thing it was with the tv, we were unable to connect to the tv to play music
So need and nice
service is ok not that great
Near metro station and shops, A bit dirty as construction work outside
Excellent
The worse ……. The rooms smell musty and damp. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who suffers from respiratory problems. I think the reason is poor ventilation. Receptionists always busy and place overcrowded…..i think because they receiving groups from companies so will never enjoyable for families. It was the worse experience in doha
Good value for money.
The fridge, not cooling, they said all the same
Good
Basic hotel with a bed, desk, and bathroom. My room had a screen on the window so you can't see outside. The room was clean and well stocked. Its good for a short term stay like 1-3 days. Anytime beyond that, I recommend paying a little more money for more amenities like.
Average service
I am really upset about staying there. The air conditioning was not working and the room was hot. The other problem is that the parking attendant asked me to inform me that there is no parking available. It is all busy. I know that there was available space in my car, but he asked me to pay 100 riyals.
Smells
.
Towels not change the next day, Some maintence work sound from the wall in wash room,. My room 11701, was on thr back-to-back view, I request for chnage of room on the front side. Not full fill,
value for money
Nice hotel. Only remark is that was too noisy. Very responsive staff.
For the price is totally ok but in general its a very old hotel and the room was really old. A very strong moisture smell was in the room. I guess it depends on the money you pay. When you pay more you get a better and moderner room. The place is very good and very close to almeena, souq waqef, islamic art museum, qatar museum
Great location. Walkable to major attractions.
Staff need training
Checking in was a pain, standing at the desk for nearly an hour all the staff there seemed confused and didnt know what to do when i finally got dealt with then mid way through begin to start dealing with someone else again. Room was clean and tidy, shower not great tho it took a long time for water to get warm and then the water didnt drain away so it was always flooded in there. Location was good.
Stay Away ... Not Clean
Awesome Housekeeping
This hotel has the best housekeeping service we had in the world we visited all 5 continents over 50 hotels these guys are great, great service only issue is the gentleman in charge of the gym and pool, he must be replaced he is not professional nor respectful
They gave me a room above the noisy airconditioning vent. Hot water needs 20 minutes to get to the shower. Reception staff keeps forgetting the room number during our discussion and keeps asking for it. Terrible stay !#@
Overall it's not a bad property/hotel. My only problem is the 4-star rating they portray. At their very best as well they won't cross 3 stars. The building is in a very convenient location and good from the outside. Once you are inside the room, not so much. Lacks basic amenities like a proper set of toiletries, slippers etc. The room is also not that spacious. The key fob works half of the time. I requested iron and board but both came dirty. No slippers and more. Again, it's not a bad hotel in general just not the right ratings as per my experience.
Room temp could not be adjusted despite the thermostat allowing for settings. It just stayed at 16 to 17 degrees centigrade which was too cold at night. Hot water took about 20 minutes of running on full flow before getting hot. Unacceptably long time and huge waste of water.
All good
..
One of the worst hotel , staff is good but hotel is old furniture retired , patking is 10 QAR per night where evry where in doha is free
Everything is good
I stayed there for a long time. The hotel was very good. The room service staff were also very good. I really liked staying there. Thank you 😊
Clean quiet polite staff. Never used restaurant or pool etc. would stay again. Rooms small but have baths with us unusual in doha.
No parking.. Parking will be chargeable
Not really worth the money. Much better hotels in Doha for this price. Weird smell in bathroom, cold shower. Staff is slow.
As a four-star facility, I had to request a Toothbrush, No soap or shower gel was available. The room was not cleaned daily. There was a water leak from the toilets due to water from the shower being stranded. However, The front desk staff was good, smiling and helpful. The cleaners and especially the Security at the gate were very nice and smiling.
Dripping tapes with poor maintenance, Good cleaning staff but overburdened, Staley smell , No effective screening of incoming Boxes, show off logging that is secretively kept & not written . No ATM or cash Machine. Real rating should be revised down to 3 star until issues raised are addressed.
Great
Excellent service
The staff were excellent, very friendly & very accommodating. They even opened the breakfasy early as I had an early flight. Hotel is in a decent location too. The only negative, being picky, is the room was slightly dated, but not very, however the bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Did not like breakfast at all . Not enough food for the price. Never seen 4 star hotels breakfast like this .
Proximity to the Museum of Islamic Art and National Museum of Qatar
Staff were overwhelmed during the World Cup. Room wasn't ready on time and there was only luke warm water available for showers. Room size was terrific however. Bed wasn't that comfortable though
Early checkin was an issue due to rush. But very friendly staff
It’s okay
I had a long layover. Nice hotel, 13 minutes from the airport. Excellent for long layovers
Its is okay for being 2days but the room was smaller than I thought. The staff was very friendly and supportive
Very clean room and very nice hospitality
The staff at the reception was very helpful. Close from the airport.
Everything was awesome!!
The room was nice & clean
Perfect
Shower had many bugs flying and ventilation fan was so noisy, there is musty smell almost all around the hotel.
I like the location of the hotel and the stuff was nice as well.
Excellent value for money!
Did a last minute booking here as had a 13 hour transit in Doha and when we landed, I really felt like I needed a rest and a shower. This place is close to so many of the attractions. They even arranged for a car with a driver to show me around. Very friendly and professional staff. No hassle at all although it was a last minute booking. Room was excellent. Really good value for money! Oh.. and no service at tax!!
check in was easy and staff were very friendly and gave us early check in. amenities were clean but slightly dated. good location.only stayed for one night
Every thing was excellent except the wi fi . We have to log in manually every time we come back to hotel.
It’s a very good hotel to stay , need improve in terms of some things in room such as I have to ask for towels and other things
Excellent
Amazing stuff and stay
the staff personel is not friendly, you don´t feel comfortable with their attention.
Good hotel with friendly staff
We stayed 1 night in Family suite. It's like 1 bedroom apartment. Very spacious. The staff is very friendly. The extented out check out til 3 p.m. what very very good for us as we have 2 years old kid who needed day sleep. We are coming back to Doha in 1 month and definitely will stay here again.
The Plaza Inn is a conveniently located hotel for short-stay travellers coming into Doha by plane. Only a USD15 ride from the terminal it works also for a one-night stop over. Clean and comfortable room with very comfortable beds but no bedside lights for reading. Good value for money for a 4-star hotel.
good for a night stop over. very attentive concierge. rooms basic no hairdryer.
The hotel is very convenient for a transit stay or business. The rooms is small good for 1 to 2 persons. I did not eat there so cannot say how the food is. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean.
The hotel is in good location close to the corniche and would recommend hiring a car and using the hotel car park. All the staff from reception to the car park security are excellent and friendly. The restaurant is excellent including the great food from the Bollywood themed restaurant although the music is a bit old school. The pool was cleaned daily and was always pretty empty. A big thanks to all the staff .
In transit stay
In transit 20 hour layover Easter Sunday. The lunch buffet was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Good enough for short stay. Location wise is amazing. Near to most of places such as souq waqif etc.
A great hotel to stay at.
The hotel is centrally located with lots of shopping & eating options in all directions. Even though the hotel only has one restaurant, it ensures variety. Food was good to great. Service excellent, and the staff was very helpful in every way. I have no complaints at all.
Bad experience
The hotel took 2 reservations trough a week page and after a week I’m still trying to get my money back. They say they are not responsible for that, and still charge me twice.
Air-conditioning was not working. Smiley pillows
Great Hotel
It is nice hotel with near by location to Cornish and Museum of Islamic Arts as well as it is at walking distance to famous Souq waqif market. They charge the same amount which was I supposed to pay them. If I summarize, there was no hidden charges. Awesome buffet breakfast and Hollywood restaurant is also available in this hotel
Layover stop excellent choice
We checked in for one night because we had a 23 hour layover. Hotel was located near the corniche area. We were greeted warmly and the hotel was able to book a tour for us to go in the desert. They also arranged for a taxi to pick us up the next morning for our 5am flight. The room was ready upon checking in. It was 4 of us and we were comfortable. We were able to walk to dinner at the souq. I would stay there again.
Close to locations
This hotel was amazing. All of the attractions were in a 10 min distance and it was in the middle of the city. The staff was great and the room. My favorite was the view of the city you gott
first room I was given was tiny, had no external window and the AC was broken. This hotel used tome the Best western (and on some websites that is still how it comes up) It shows its age and has not been well maintained (rooms have been subdivided and are cramped and smelly). I asked to be moved to another room, only to be given a smoking room with a filthy shower. When I had to go out the concierge staff were not partucularly interested in giving helpful directions either. There are plenty of other options in the same price range that offer better value even for just one night
Good well priced solid hotel
I have stayed at this hotel many times but only twice since it changed names from the Doha Seef. It has had quite an upgrade of some of the older suites to turn them into modern rooms. For me the location is good however it depends on where you want to be. It is easy walking distance from Souq Waqif & also the Museum of Islamic Art.
The location of the hotel
Grt location to access the Corniche, MIA, Souq Waffiq and its also a short Uber ride to The diplomatic area, to visit the City mall. Grt rooftop pool, excellent service from all the staff ,especially housekeeping and room service staff. I will definitely stay here again, hopefully when I return for the FIFA event. Perhaps the ongoing development would be completed by then?
Simply Wonderful
The Plaza Inn Hotel was really nice on the inside. The front desk staff were super friendly. The mezzanine restaurant was awesome. The food delicious and the service excellent.
Business stay
The Plaza Inn has an excellent location. The room though small was well priced, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was an efficient process. 2 negative points only. Breakfast was a whopping 70 QR. Since smoking was allowed in the lobby, most of the hotel smelled of this. Being a non smoker it was not pleasant. When checking in. I was given 2 vouchers for 25% discount. Which I used for breakfast. I would recommend to a friend and I would stay here again. Receptionist Editha and waitress Serker were amazing.
so bad
it was so bad: my request was a king size bed and smoking room, they provide small and single room until i complain. they change the bed but the room was so bad and once i tried to contact them from my room no one answer my call,.
Nice Hotel For this price Airport shuttle is no more free
It's good experience, the hotel is nice and cheap
Staff were nice. Non smoking room smelled of smoke, ac was bust so only 19degs and everything felt clammy. Wouldn't stay there again
Short stay in Doha
8 hour layover in Doha after a 17 hour flight? Book this hotel. Shuttle service, clean and tidy room, a few hours in our own space before the connecting flight.
The hotel had a distinct odor in the hallways and the rooms.
Value for your money
Really enjoyed everything, service, assistance, etc.
Okay to stay a few hours due to long layover. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Convenient to visiting Museum of Islamic Art and Souq. Not their fault but I Could not cool off in pool as intense heat also made it hot/warm even at 5:30pm. Bed was comfortable.
Good hotel for stop over in DOHA
A very comfortable room - I ate in the hotel. I had the dinner buffet which was good value for money.
Free airport shuttle
This is below average hotel, breakfast was terrible, bed was ok , room was just ok, shower was dirty and below average, shuttle was free. You can hear next room easily. Ac was poor All in all just spend few more coins and go to better hotel. Cheap for a reason!
Nice basic place in a good location
My family and I had a 21 hour layover in Doha and booked this place as a place to drop our stuff, go sightseeing for a day, nap a bit, and shower before heading back to the airport. So we didn't really stay overnight. The price on Expedia was cheap and for this, we got complimentary airport shuttles to/from the airport. The hotel is a short (under a mile) taxi ride to the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif. Hotel staff was friendly and eager to help. Rooms are a bit tired but clean. Slight musty smell. Not a 5-star hotel, but for the price, a nice deal. If you're looking for a quick basic place, this is a good one!
Plaza inn Doha- not a nice place to stay
I stayed in the hotel from 19-21 April 2017. I am sorry to say but the hotel services are lethargic and pethatic. I left one of my belongings in the room and upon reaching my destination I called the staff but they never honored my request. Lost and found department seems extremely unprofessional. A bad experience. Won't recommend at all.
Decent Hotel to stay
Location is good, clean and decent hotel but room size was small and we expected little bigger rooms. Overall is ok to stay

I was pretty disappointed with the hotel for many reasons. Reception staff could barely muster a smile, except one of the older male staff who was nice and friendly. I went to reception a few times for various reasons and was almost never greeted with a smile. Saying that, the house keeping staff were extremely friendly and smiley. The hotel itself is very outdated. I didn’t expect it to be and look as old as it is in terms of design and decor, this probably explains why they barely have any photos up on Expedia. It definitely needs a refurb. Especially the bathroom! Incredibly old. The bathroom had a nasty gutter smell and there was no hot water. I did inform reception of this but they said the water has to be run for 15 mins in order to get hot. This is really poor. Because who is going to stand there for 15 mins to wash their hands after going to the toilet? Also, what an incredible waste of water. The shower was the same. I used to run it for 15 mins before getting in but it never really got hot. It did get warm for about 30 seconds but then got cold again and then warm and then cold. Showers were horrible every day. I couldn’t wait to get back home to the UK for a proper hot shower. The room itself was nice and spacious. We had a Twin room with 2 beds. Could easily have fit another 2 beds in the room so there was plenty of walking space. We had a nice big window too looking out to the main street. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again but Qatar was lovely!
